The Girl With The Baby by Sam Vickery, I listened to the audio version narrated by Sarah Kempton, who I thought did a brilliant job. Anne is living in the house she grew up in and as the story goes on we learn she’s hiding from a guy named Ryan and her biggest fear is him finding her. So when a girl named Jade shows up with the baby asking to stay a night or two, Anne at first tells her no but due to Jade‘s begging and patheticness she acquiescesse and allows her to stay. thanks to her neighbor Aaron who does all her shopping for her and anything else having to do with going to town. he’s a police officer and seems to really like Anne but is highly suspicious of Jade. For some reason he really doesn’t like a baby being an Anne’s home. As the book goes on and is convinced Ryan sent Jade and tries her best to find proof but while she’s looking for proof of why Jade’s there, Jade is looking for something also in Anne‘s home. at first Anne is reluctant to hold the baby for reasons is it known until much later in the book but eventually she does and starts to care about little Malia. when Anne finally learns why Jade is there she’s amazed but when she sees who Jade brought to her home she’s shocked! I thought this was a pretty good story there were a couple of boring chapters where I wish it would just get along with it because not much is revealed and it felt slow and tedious at times but I really liked it couldn’t wait to find out their secrets and i thad an awesome ending. If you like mysteries with a dash of thrills then you will definitely like this book. One of them is crazy and her crazy will come out in many ways. #NetGalley, #TheBlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview,

Story centers on Annie and Jade- Jade is the girl with the baby.

Annie’s life looks perfect on the surface. She works from home and designs and paints her home-made birdhouses. There is a reason Annie never ventures into town, a secret she’s hiding about where she’s from. A secret that seems to have put another woman in danger . . .

Jade arrives at Annie’s front door with a baby sleeping soundly. Jade knows Annie is the only person who can help her, as she and her baby daughter to be safe from danger.

Annie assumes Jade’s fear is of the abuse from the father of the baby. It seems Annie and Jade have something in common and that is the father of Jade’s baby. Yes! Jade married a man who had been seeing Annie. Annie is now hiding from him.

However, Jade nor Annie really know each other’s secrets.
I struggled a bit with this story and characters, but the ending saved it for me!

I want to thank NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for this audiobook.

The Girl with the Baby by Sam Vickery and Narrated by Sarah Kempton is a fantastic domestic thriller that hit every button for me

Sarah Kempton was the perfect choice to narrate this book. Kempton had a clear vision for each character and excellent continuity and pace. The production was excellent

Annie seems to have the perfect life, but there is a history that she is trying to escape. That is, until a connection to that history turns up on her doorstep.... with a baby. Jade is the woman on Annies doorstep, running away from someone, the same someone that Annie ran from all those years ago. What secrets do these women possess and why is Jade here, why now

A fantastic thriller with a strong storyline and well thought-out web of intrigue. Well paced and I was invested from the get-go. I absolutely loved this audiobook and I lok forward to seeing more from both the author and narrator

I was thrilled to receive an Advance Copy of the audiobook of The Girl with the Baby!

This was my first Sam Vickery novel and I absolutely loved it. It was a great twisty, tense, thriller and every time I thought I knew what was coming, I was surprised yet again! This book pulled me in right from the beginning and took me on a wild ride the entire time.

I really enjoyed the narration from Sarah Kempton on this audiobook as well. The audio was clear and everything was pronounced well and easy to understand. Her British accent was beautiful and I

Annie lives a quiet life at home building bird houses to sell in local shops. She enjoys her garden and only talk with her neighbor Aaron next door. She avoids going to town and doesn't want to be found by her ex-husband.

One day Jade shows up with a baby daughter and asks Annie for help. Since she pops up out of no where you are immediately suspicious of her and what she wants. The narrator didn't differentiate her voice between Jade and Annie so it was hard to tell who was who in the audiobook. The abuse that Annie went through was horrible to read about.

Finding out the truth about Jade wasn't the shocking ending I was hoping for.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dreamscape Media for an advanced copy of The Girl with the Baby!

This was a good, fast-paced thriller, with an exceptional narrator. I was hooked immediately into Annie and Jade's stories.
Annie is a homebody who is hiding. She works from home and loves her garden. She never leaves the house. Thankfully, her neighbor helps her out. No one has ever been inside her house until Jade shows up. She sees Jade is scared and running from something with her baby. But is Jade running from the same thing as Annie or something more?

The Girl with the Baby is a quick, fun read. It’s best enjoyed if you set aside a bit of realism — some moments feel far-fetched, and you may find yourself questioning a few character decisions (like why Anne didn’t go to the police). The ending isn’t quite as tense as you’d expect, but overall it’s a fast, thrilling, and entertaining listen. The narration is well done and keeps the story engaging.

Thank you Netgalley and Dreamscape Media for the ARC.

The book had a curious start and I liked it. I followed the plot with interest and the characters seemed quite mysterious. Advancing the story, one starts questioning the motives of the characters and the writer, like who would ever accept to their house someone without knowing them or not being sure who they are. Not me for sure, that is why I lost the connection with the characters.
The ending seemed strange enough to make me not regret finishing the book.

Wow this book was crazy! I did NOT see the ending of this book coming. I really thought that I had this book figured out and that it was so easy to see the ending coming. Boy do I have egg on my face for making that assumption lol. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good mystery, with an amazing narrator!
