DARKER STEAMY SHORTS These men don't ask. They stake a claim on what's theirs. They'll raze the world to the ground before they let their women go. Their obsession knows no bounds.
CONFLICTED
by Lena Little
Darker Steamy Book 6
What ignites between them is wrong.
Straight up wrong—a passion born from darkness, confusion, and an attraction neither of them can control.
Some love stories are born from light. This one was born from blood, obsession, and moral collapse.
Conflicted is a dark, taboo mafia romance that fully leans into obsession and morally grey territory. The chemistry is intense, the power imbalance is deliberate, and Radomir is unapologetically dangerous while Mara’s grief adds emotional weight to their connection.
The story is fast-paced and steamy, delivering exactly what dark romance readers expect. While I enjoyed the premise and intensity, the shorter length made some emotional transitions feel rushed, especially after major revelations.
Overall, this is a solid, high-heat read for fans of morally grey MMCs, taboo dynamics, and unapologetic dark romance. Be sure to check trigger warnings before reading.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Dark, obsessive, and deliciously conflicted
CONFLICTED by Lena Little is exactly what the title promises—a morally grey, obsession-fueled mafia romance that leans into the darkness.
Radomir is not a good man. He doesn’t pretend to be. He kills without remorse… until Mara walks into the aftermath of his violence and shatters in front of him. Watching her discover the body he left behind should mean nothing to him. Instead, it means everything.
That shift—from detached enforcer to obsessed protector—is where the story hooks you. His internal conflict drives the tension. He knows wanting her is wrong. He knows protecting her is hypocritical. He’s the danger. And yet he can’t walk away.
Mara’s innocence and vulnerability heighten the emotional stakes. The fact that she trusts him without knowing the truth adds a constant undercurrent of dread. Every touch, every possessive declaration, feels layered with guilt and inevitability.
The steam is unapologetic, fitting the Darker Steamy Shorts series vibe. The “touch her and die” energy is strong, and Radomir’s alpha presence dominates every scene he’s in. It’s intense, possessive, and built on obsession—but still delivers a hard-earned HEA.
If you like morally grey heroes who know they’re monsters and fall anyway, dark themes, and short reads that hit hard and fast, CONFLICTED delivers exactly what it promises.
Sinful. Twisted. Addictive. 🖤🔥.

Mara has recently lost her father. He was shot in the head tied to a chair in his home. Mara is now all alone. She is trying to connect with her photography as she is out and about. Randomir is an enforcer for the mafia mob. He was given the order to kill Mara’s father. He didn’t know there was a daughter. When he found out and saw her picture, he was stunned. She is beautiful. He starts following her. He becomes enamored with her. She soon notices someone following her and they converse on the sidewalk. He is huge, broad, colorful tattoos going up and down his neck. He sees Mara’s passion, spirit, bravery, her sass. He feels a connection. He knows she feels it too. He knows it’s wrong, but their feelings are intense and he doesn’t know what to do about it. Their relationship is extremely intense. Can a relationship that starts with deception/lies survive?.

This is a great book with a hero in a morally gray area, facing a very unusual situation. Radomir is a hitman sent to take out Mara's father. Radomir was blindsided by his reaction to Mara. Now he is stepping in to protect her. There are twists in this story that make it so good. Excellent short read with a perfect HEA.

The author has given us a darker older man/younger woman story that pulls us into the lives of Radomir and Mara. The heartwarming story keeps us turning the pages with instant connection, secrets, revelations and steam.

Now I understand why the title is “Conflicted.” At first, I thought it was about a moral dilemma, but there's a deeper truth to the story. This feeling of conflict was eventually overshadowed by either lust or love—who can really tell? In the end, they did find their happily ever after.
