The first rule for a drama-free senior year? Don’t fall for the mysterious new football transfer. A swoony young adult romance full of undeniable chemistry and school spirit perfect for fans of Lynn Painter and Friday Night Lights, from the author of Heart Check.
When Sabrina and Tyler meet by accident outside (okay, inside) the football locker rooms, it’s not a big deal. After a rocky summer, Sabrina is focused on leading the Spirit Committee to its best year ever, while Tyler is eager to leave behind the mess from his old school with a second chance playing football as a transfer. Neither is looking for romance.
But as the team’s newest (and most eligible) varsity athlete, Tyler is suddenly the center of attention. And Sabrina is busy dodging Ryan, her longtime flirtationship who is determined to take her to the homecoming dance. Ryan is exactly the kind of chaos Sabrina doesn’t need, so she asks Tyler to go as friends instead. Eager to fend off other unwanted advances, Tyler is happy to accept.
Of course, this was before Sabrina realized Tyler is Ryan’s cousin. But as long as they’re just friends, everything should be fine. Tyler is less willing to ignore the connection he feels toward Sabrina, but he’s also desperate to keep his past buried. When the chemistry between them becomes impossible to deny, can their carefully laid plans survive the fallout, or will secrets and social pressure threaten everything they’ve built?
i liked this but i can’t help but feel like it had so much potential to be greater ☹️ i really expected the romance to be less rushed, especially since this book is marketed as a friends to lovers. but sabrina and tyler’s attraction was almost instant which made their relationship feel like it lacked a proper foundation. thankfully, i still found them pretty cute together and they definitely had their moments!

This was such a cute, sweet, feel-good YA romance! I went into it with pretty high hopes after coming off a YA book I absolutely loved, and while this one didn’t quite hit that same level for me, I wasn’t mad about it.
I think I’m realizing that the whole high school senior-year setting might just not be my favorite. Pep rallies, school spirit, crushes, flirtationships, teenage drama… I wanted to care more than I did, but a lot of it just didn’t really grab me. And honestly, that’s not the book’s fault. It’s a perfectly sweet story, it just wasn’t my cup of tea.
Sabrina was probably the character I appreciated most. She has SO much heart and is incredibly loyal to her friends and her school. I’m definitely not the outgoing, involved-in-everything type, so I didn’t relate to her as much as I wanted to, but I really loved how much she cared about the people around her.
And Tyler? Honestly the mystery surrounding him was what kept me turning the pages. I needed to know what happened at his old school and why he transferred. 😂 I also really appreciated how kind he was toward Sabrina, how well he listened to her, and how he gave her space to be completely herself. I do wish their relationship had been given a little more time to develop because I felt like their feelings were a bit rushed. I wanted more of that gradual buildup before they got to the point they did.
I think my favorite thing about them together was how naturally they poured into the people and teams they cared about without expecting anything in return. They both had genuinely good qualities, and there was something really wholesome about that.
Was the drama and unnecessary lying occasionally annoying? Absolutely. 😂 But… that’s high school, so I guess I can’t exactly be shocked. Overall, this was a cute little read that I think will really hit for readers who love sweet YA romances, school spirit, football, and all the messy feelings that come with being a teenager 💖

september 1st- not usually a YA girly but the last one i read was spectacular!! also this cover is just so cutie 🥹
I’m very conflicted on how to rate this book. So I’m just gonna go smack dab in the middle. The first book was so much better but this book was cute. I will admit I will probably forget the majority of this book in about a week. I do love a cute YA romance though.
I did not like Sabrina very much. She wasn’t terrible, but the way she thought things through was annoying. She always jumps to conclusions about everything. She never talked with Ryan about what happened therefore causing later problems. Then when Tyler’s past came up she jumped to conclusions and was all hurt because ‘he lied to her’. It’s his past, frankly if he does want to talk about it it’s not your business. Why should he have to tell you why he moved here? And why couldn’t you guys just tell Ryan in the first place what was going on. He obviously would have understood. She just wasn’t very smart sometimes.
Tyler was fine. He did cute things. I loved that he was romantic and very sweet.
The romance wasn’t bad, but didn’t really feel like friends to lovers. It kind of just felt like a normal relationship. You get to know each other for a little, you like each other, you get together. So kind of just felt normal. Which isn’t a bad thing. I also will say it felt like 85% of their relationship was just kissing. Can you guys stop kissing every moment you get together (and I’m talking full makeout)? Again, it wasn’t bad. I think it’s cute. But give a little more. Flirt, do a romantic date. Not just make out whenever you can.
Overall, not terrible. Can’t wait to see what other books Emily Charlotte creates.

Thank you NetGalley for this arc! This was SO CUTE! I had so much fun reading this one. Tyler and Sabrina were very relatable, and I want to be friends with them. The chemistry between them was amazing. I giggled an a LOT during this, and couldn’t stop smiling. The friendships were really good, it’s rare for me to actually enjoy the friendships in a romcom, so I was happy to like this one. I was so invested that I actually stayed up reading instead of doomscrolling, which hasn’t happened in ages. It was just so good, and happy feeling. Definitely add this to your tbr!

3 stars! Catching Feelings by Emily Charlotte was a really cute book, and I absolutely adored the two leads. Sabrina and Tyler are both such genuine and caring people, and their relationship was so, so, so sweet. They each have scars from the previous school year, and together they grow to find that sense of belonging and discover the steps towards healing. Also, Tyler is a truly incredible person in this book, and is just so kindhearted and genuine. While it did have some miscommunication tropes in it, I appreciated how they actually ended up talking it out AND that it didn’t last too long. The romance was very quick (definitely not slow-burn) but still very cute! It is a no-spice book with some *spicier* kisses (level 3– descriptive, handsy, etc.), frequent innuendo, mildly frequent profanity (f-word is present). Now, there were certain things present that personally felt a little uncomfortable (going against my beliefs/convictions) that did make it a little bit of a lower rating for me. There’s underaged drinking involving the leads, some heavily implied innuendo, and lusty attraction between characters. There is LGBTQ present— no hate or ill-will intended— with many of the side characters engaging in homosexuality. Overall, this was a really fun book, and I recommend if you enjoy fast-paced, swoony, sports-centered, rom-coms, and adorable reads!!! The author has such a wonderful writing style! Happy reading :)

My thoughts: New football romance alert!! This was so good! I absolutely loved Heart Check and when I heard Emily was writing a football romance I freaked out! Tyler and Sabrina’s relationship was so sweet! I loved their locker room meet-cute and the insta-attraction between them! I was so happy with all the football talk hehe. I’m a football girlie through and through and am so happy to have another amazing football romance! I loved seeing Harper and Dawson again! They’re so cute and in love ☺️ This was one of those books where you finish it and immediately want more! I was so sad when it was over! I definitely recommend Heart Check AND Catching Feelings! This is quite possibly my new favorite football romance 🤭

I was very lucky/fortunate/honoured to read an early copy of Catching Feelings and ommmmgggg Emily Charlotte you have done it UHGAIN. The chemistry? Off the charts! The yearning? Incredible. The warm-and-fuzzy feeling of kicking your feet as you watch two main characters slowly fall in love?!? Healed me.
I love reading romance because the characters have to do so much inner work to let themselves be happy and let the other person into their lives. Emily has such a knack for this and for writing characters with so much heart, her work is such a joy to read.
A quick little romance read I flew through the other day. I love reading sports books based on the season and football season is heeeere.
I loved the emphasis on acts of service. Tyler was so sweet in the way he tried to show Sabrina he cared. It was sincere and I adored it. They had a lot of good moments together. There was plenty of football content that capture the essence of those Friday night football games.
Both of these characters had some things to work through. It felt relatable to the age group and I liked how both learned that they needed to accept help and trust others with the truth. The nostalgic quality of high school and the insecurities that come along with it are absolutely relatable.
I wasn’t a big fan of the multiple moments of underage drinking. It’s not in your face, but present enough that I wish it would have been more cut from the plot. Otherwise I do think this fits into the young adult category well. I’d lean towards the upper age pocket though.
i’m ngl i might get flamed for this review but alas i have to speak my truth
ok so i didn’t like basically anything about this book which was genuinely so sad because i absolutely loved Heart Check, in fact one of the only things i like about this book was the fact that we got to see some fun cameos with Harper and Dawson!! The writing just felt very juvenile to me, this felt like something i would’ve read when i was like 13 and would’ve enjoyed it so much but unfortunately tastes change and i just couldn’t read any line in this book without cringing. I didn’t connect with Sabrina which is totally fine i don’t think you have to connect with a character to enjoy a book but at the same time i just found her really annoying and didn’t like her at all, Tyler was slightly better but i still didn’t like him either. AND ALSO they were so mean to Ryan, he did not deserve any of that they were horrible and he just brushed it off?? This entire plot could’ve been solved with literally any of these characters having an honest conversation with who they had problems with, like seriously that pmo. I also didn’t like how her mom was just not in the book at all until the last 20ish percent for one scene??? That was weird and she was lowkey so neglectful.
Thank you to Simon Teen and Netgalley for the arc!!
As usual, I am wholly obsessed with Emily Charlotte’s writing! Catching Feelings is as warm and comforting as the knowledge that you belong somewhere. Another romantic coming-of-age story from my queen!
Emily Charlotte is a genius. Once again I am sobbing over how adorable the story is and I am just so obsessed with how Emily Charlotte writes her characters and the sweet and funny moments mixed into all of it. I’ve never been much of a football person but I genuinely forgot about it while reading this book, I finished it in 2 days and I already miss it. Being back in Hamilton Lakes felt like going back to one of my homes, and reading about Harper and Luke again?! My hearttttttt!!!!! I cannot wait for everyone to fall in love with Tyler and Sabina and I can’t wait for what’s to come!!!!

this was so cute and fun!! it also just so happened to be my first ever football romance?? 🤭
i liked the emotional depth that both sabrina and tyler had, but i felt that—more so on sabrina’s end at least—that the reader is mostly just told about it. we don’t see much of it on page, specifically the conflict with her parents. tyler’s character was genuinely such a sweetheart, and he made it easy to want to root for him. i found his gentleness and supportiveness of both sabrina and his teammates really refreshing.
as for the writing and storytelling: it was a tad bit predictable, but honestly…that’s fine. i was there for a cutie romcom, and it most definitely delivered. my one critique is that it took me a while to get used to the author’s writing style and her constant usage of exclamation marks. they repeatedly pulled me out of the story. some of the dialogue seemed unrealistic as well.
i kept waiting to be blown away and taken by the romance. unfortunately for me, that didn’t happen. it was a bit too insta-lovey/lusty for my taste. don’t get me wrong—the two mcs really were perfect contrasts AND super cute together. it just didn’t have me giggling or kicking my feet. 🥲👍🏼
thank you to the publisher and netgalley for the e-arc!! catching feelings is out september 1st !!

I am still screaming because I finally got to read my ARC of Catching Feelings!! 😭 After being obsessed with Heartcheck, I already knew Emily Charlotte was going to deliver, but I was NOT prepared for how much I would fall for these characters.
This story follows Sabrina during her absolute mess of a chaotic senior year, which gets even more complicated when Tyler, the new star football player, shows up. What starts as a whirlwind connection quickly turns into something neither of them saw coming as they try to balance their feelings with all the senior year drama happening on and off the field! 🏈✨
The football aspect was handled so well, but what really sold it for me was Tyler. Usually in romance books, it feels like the guy is just there to be the "love interest," but Emily actually gave him so much depth and made him feel like a real human being. I felt like I actually got to know him as a person, which made his relationship with Sabrina hit ten times harder!!
Overall, this was such a sweet, solid read that lived up to all my expectations. I am so happy I got to read this one early and I’m already missing these two!
10/10 would recommend if you love a romance where the characters actually have personalities and a good sports subplot! 🏈❤️✨
Unfortunately, this one didn't work for me. At times, the writing style felt odd, and I found it difficult to fully immerse myself in the plot.
My main concern was the romance. To be honest, I wasn't sure Tyler was yearning for Sabrina or even that he liked her. I wanted to feel more of that emotional connection between them, but it never came thru for me, making the relationship difficult to invest in.
Having saying that, I can see myself suggesting this to those who appreciate this genre of romance. I believe it all boils down to personal preference, because while it was not for me, I can imagine other readers enjoying it more than I did.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the chance to read and evaluate this book.
Thank you to netgally and the publishers for this arc
apparently i’m the only one who’s given this a one star rating. I HATE this book. and i don’t mean in a way that it’s ‘just not for me’. NOTHING about this book was interesting in the slightest. The entire book was written so poorly, that it read like one of my first drafts. I didn’t feel connected to the characters in the slightest, even so they ticked me off. The author was cutting out words they were needed to make it flow better, the story was FAR to fast paced, and I don’t mean that in a good way, for me, personally I love fast paced books, but this was just rushed as it could’ve possibly been, this idea or whatever was also weak but since everyone was raving about it. i wanted to try it and got an arc. THEY ARE LYING TO YOU. Catching Feelings is about a girl named Sabrina and a new transfer student named Tyler as they team up to avoid other romantic interests. They agree to attend homecoming together as platonic friends.
a cute autumn read. 🍂🍁 it was light and fluffy, ☺️ and i really enjoyed it. the plot was pretty straightforward and had a satisfying conclusion. the pacing was excellent, which kept me engaged. both characters were relatable and both dealt with their own challenges. Sabrina is president of the Spirit Committee, and she puts all of this responsibility of creating budgets and other stuff for school spirit and dances, but she's not one to ask for help. Sabrina also has a complicated family situation. 😕 she's always there for everyone, trying to make everyone happy. 😊 and she's super relatable. ughh, i saw so much of me in her. 😅butt, there's someone that can help! Tyler is a football transfer student from another high school (i think 3 hours away), and he's looking for a fresh start, playing for Hamilton Lakes now. he wants a clean slate. Tyler also has his struggles and is hesitant to open up or trust people. 😔 that's where Sabrina comes in. They both find comfort in each other and become fast friends. and their relationship is so sweet 🥹 i couldn't get enough of them and their flirty banter was adorable 🥰 they both care for each other, and will give each other 100% of their time to make sure they're both okay. i will say that it does get a little heated in the romantic scenes, but i wouldn't say that it's "spicy" maybe a 1/5. it was still good though, and i throughly enjoyed the book! definitely recommend 🩵🫶🏼
I picked this one on NetGalley because I thought the premise of accidentally crushing on your situationship’s cousin was interesting. I think my middle school students would like this one. For me, it was just okay. It fell a little flat at about 50% and became extremely predictable. Though I’m not a young adult anymore so I’m not the target audience anyway.
Rating: 2.5 stars Contains some adult language, some adult themes, underaged drinking, LGBT side characters
This is a weird thing to say about a book you didn't love, but I can totally see a great Netflix (or whatever your streaming platform of choice is) adaptation Catching Feelings. The bright Friday Night lights, the quaint small town, the made-for-TV romance--I can see it all play out in my mind. I still think there are parts of the story that need to be reworked, but film is a more forgiving medium when in certain ways, and I think the screen would help smooth out some of the issues with the story.
But you're not here to listen to my thoughts on an imaginary movie; you're here to hear my thoughts on the actual book.
The writing isn't horrendous, but it's not...good? I've definitely read worse, but that's, unfortunately not saying much. Other than a great line about a straw's death rattle in an empty drink, there's something a little soulless, almost robotic about the prose. Catching Feelings is a first-person, alternating POVs romance, but it's missing the spark of personality I'd argue is essential in a good YA contemporary. It's essentially the opposite of the "voice-y" stories I've been seeing requests for, and it bleeds into the rest of the story.
Sabrina and Ryan have the potential to be really interesting characters, but they're not quite developed enough and come across as bland and unmemorable. It's especially disappointing because all the components for fully fleshed out, complex characters are there. Like I love the idea of an eldest daughter-coded, people pleaser scarred by her parents' divorce and a gentle giant who's been burned so badly by betrayal he'll do anything he can to squeeze himself so that he's small and unnoticeable. I love the idea of two people who are so used to taking care of everyone else finally having someone take care of them. Sadly, the execution just doesn't come together to actually give us compelling protagonists this story deserves. They were so bland, I had a hard time bringing myself to care about either of them, and I can't help but feel like Emily Charlotte missed the emotional beats of the story completely.
The premise is shaky to begin with, and it certainly doesn't help that what little plot we get is riddled with holes or that the pacing is completely off. The story doesn't really have a strong central conflict, so it lacks any real kind of tension, and the stakes just aren't there. There isn't really anything propelling the story forward, and I never really felt like I was truly invested in the story. The romance starts out with a healthy dose of insta-love and doesn't get much better as the story progresses. Sabrina and Ryan have almost no chemistry and all the spark of wet sheet of paper. Instead of catching feelings, all I caught were strays for being a Jess Mariano fan during an extended and completely unnecessary treatise on the Gilmore Girls.
I didn't realize Catching Feelings was part of a series, but I don't think that affected my reading experience at all. I know I usually give authors the benefit of the doubt, but I'm not much of a hockey romance fan, so I might be done with Emily Charlotte for now 😔 I do like the dynamic of the couple I'm assuming will be in the "next season" of the Varsity series, so who knows 🤷🏻♀️
I received an eARC for review consideration as part of the Simon Teen Influencer program. All opinions are my own.
"I guess we can't control everything, right?" "Nope, and I wouldn't want to."
This book was good. I guess. Not gonna lie midway through I got in such a bad reading slump where this is the first book I've finished since August 26th. (Don't come for me) But honestly, some parts I found a little boring and it was also very fast pasted, and I prefer a little more slow burn. But Tyler and Sabrina were really fun characters and they had amazing character arcs. I finally finished a book in September, Go me! Anyways that's all I really have to say about this book anyway, so byeeee!
While Catching Feelings was one of my most anticipated reads of the year, it unfortunately left me feeling a bit underwhelmed by the novel’s end. Despite the robust characterization and level of detail, Charlotte’s sophomore foray into YA fiction elicited a convoluted mix of reactions from me.
Both Sabrina and Tyler were solid, engaging, and endearing protagonists. Sabrina’s charm and bubbly demeanor were infectious, while Tyler’s earnestness was unquestionably adorable. However, their narrative voices possessed a quite saccharine quality that caused most of the narration to feel cheesy, rather than natural. Perhaps this was due to the manner in which both characters seemed to over explain and describe everything, from their backstories to their very reactions during a conversation (having Tyler explain that he had to laugh, instead of just having him laugh, felt off). In my estimation, Charlotte relied a bit too much on the narration and not enough on the action itself during the first half of the novel. In doing so, she shortchanged the story to some extent, as the dialogue and active scenes were her true strengths.
The development of each character, as well as the pacing of the plot itself, seemed rushed. Given the amount of world building (at which Charlotte excelled both in Catching Feelings and Heart Check), one would think that the story took place over many months. The fact that it didn’t made for a few awkward moments. For example, at one point, Tyler remarked that Sabrina was always busy, after only having three short encounters with her. At another, Sabrina mentioned that they had been friends for a long time. Both instances were incredulous and unfortunately, pulled me out of the story temporarily. Charlotte’s intent to create nuanced protagonists to which readers of all ages can relate was successful (Sabrina’s and Tyler’s chemistry was great too!). However, the lack of interaction between Sabrina and her parents and Tyler and his parents (or his aunt and uncle, for that matter) created an imbalance in the emotional weight of their struggles. Had Charlotte included scenes with their families throughout the novel, she may have established a stronger and deeper connection to both characters’ experiences. As it was, the brief introductions to each set of parents felt more like an aside than the undercurrent for Sabrina’s and Tyler’s arcs.
While other reviewers have likened Charlotte’s novels to that of Lynn Painter, her writing style and storytelling remind me more of the author Abby Glines’s The Field Party series than anyone else’s work.
Ultimately, Catching Feelings was a cute follow-up to Heart Check and did make me wonder if there are other stories to tell within in the Hamilton Lakes universe. While my expectations were not met (which is my fault, not Charlotte’s), I do believe other readers will find the novel to be exactly what they need from a YA novel and love Sabrina and Tyler as much as they did Harper and Dawson, if not more.
Thank you very much to Margaret K. McElderry Books, Simon and Schuster Children’s Publishing, and NetGalley for the privilege to read this ARC!
What can I say? This is another banger by Emily Charlotte and I’m not the bit surprised. I knew once I read Heart Check that her next book would be just as good. Of course I have to start out with the rating. This book was obviously 5 ✨ and I’m so glad I got the arc from NetGalley. I was so lucky that Both Emily Charlotte and NetGalley approved me to read both her first and second published books.
I can’t say how grateful I am to return to Hamilton Lakes for another year and another book that I got to see progress into something great and beautiful. I was honestly so excited when Sabrina and Tyler first crossed paths because they have so much chemistry together and if they didn’t end up together I’d be so sad but they did.
Tyler is such a green flag I loved his character so much. Also during the talent show his was ventriloquy that was something that I thought was really cute and I wished that the scene was longer because Tyler doing ventriloquy was such a cute trait/talent to have. I also loved that Tyler was always listening to Sabrina and trying to help her in any way that he could. Tyler was so sweet always had a smile on his face and he was just a ray of sunshine. Tyler was so considerate and he was always thinking about his friends and family before himself. Even though he had his own struggles and problems he was always willing to go through them with an open mind. Tyler only wanted the best for the people around him and I think that is why he was so lovable and so understandable with his peers and he just made such a good love interest and main character.
Sabrina is the type of person who wants everything to work out but she’s also a planner of the Spirit Committee. She has to make sure the nothing goes wrong and that everything works, except it doesn’t. Because life doesn’t always turn out how you want it to be and I think that that was the best part of this book: the uncertainty of it all because Sabrina wasn’t expecting to fall in love and she definitely wasn’t expecting to be thrown off course. I think that Sabrina needed someone like Tyler because I think they were each other’s missing halves. Sabrina and Tyler are just so good to each other that you know they’re couple goals. Did we get a few cameos from Harper and Dawson we did and did Dawson give Tyler about advice to stay away from the freezer? Yeah he did which I loved.
I just love how Sabrina and Tyler listen and appreciate each other. This book was somehow even better than the first, I would love to read more of Emily Charlotte’s books and I’m so excited to do so in the future. Like I said before this book is a 5 ✨for me and I just can’t get Tyler and Sabrina out of my mind. They live there rent free. I just wanted to thank NetGalley and Emily Charlotte again for allowing me to read the arc of Catching Feelings because I really enjoyed it. I also wanted to thank them for allowing me to read the first book in the Varsity series, Heart Check. Being able to read Heart Check as the first book I got on NetGalley is so special to me and I will always be forever thankful and grateful. Seeing Charlotte grow as a writer has been a privilege and a pleasure, I can’t wait to see what you write next 😁.
I had such a wonderful time with Heart Check, so was so excited to see the next book in the series! Sabrina was one of my favorite characters in the previous book and I just knew she'd have an interesting story.
As much as I loved Heart Check, Catching Feelings definitely moved me even more! I love a (secret) sad girl x (secret) sad boy story, which is precisely what this delivered. Both Sabrina and Tyler were wonderfully deep (I teared up multiple times while reading this) and I loved witnessing their growth. The drama and mystery around Tyler's transfer was so compelling and fun to piece together. It kept me super engaged and I absolutely devoured this book because of it. The pacing was perfectly done! Seeing both characters slowly open up to one another, culminating in the big reveal and drama was so fun (less so for the characters, obvi).
One of the main things I noticed with both Heart Check and now Catching Feelings is just how real the high school setting feels. While this is fictional and some of the drama definitely feels fictional, the characters themselves feel like such accurate high schoolers. The way they think, act, and feel is very accurate! No one ever feels too juvenile or too adult. They're mature, but still have a lot to learn. Many kudos to Emily Charlotte for nailing this! It really makes these books feel so nostalgic and sweet.
Aside from the main plot and the writing, I really loved how much depth there was to the side characters. It really feels like a cast from a high school drama that we slowly unwrap with each book. Ryan was my absolute favorite this book and I sincerely hope he gets a book because he has so much depth and potential! I will be tuning into the next book regardless of who it's about because I really do love this series and Emily Charlotte!
Thank you to Margaret K. McElderry Books for the ARC via Netgalley!
Arc review from netgalley! This book was so cute and fun but it also had such sad parts too it was a pretty great book! I love Sabrina so much she is such a good fmc she’s very likable and relatable she’s also a very realistic girl. Tyler was so good to her and they genuinely seemed like they were made for each other. I will say the first half or so was a bit slow and I had a hard time getting through it but once I got passed that and the plot actually started picking up more I couldn’t put it down and I had such a great time reading it. Sabrina and Tyler are so sweet to each other and you can just tell after the book they got married and lived happily ever after! I also love Sabrina’s obsession with 2000’s shows and how she was getting Tyler on Gilmore Girls that’s like my favorite show ever so I thought that was such a fun tiny detail. One of my favorite parts of this book is how both Sabrina and Tyler were going through stuff and they were both just always there for each other it was so cute. I also love the amazing friendship and trust they built before anything else it made their relationship just THAT much better. Also, I love all of the friendships in this book and how it’s very small town vibes I love how everyone is friends with everyone and how the football team was there for Tyler, how Sabrina’s friends were always there for her it just made the book even better. So truly the only negative thing I have to say about this book is that the first half moved very slow especially the first 20-30% but other than that I loved everything about it!
