Kristy Woodson Harvey has carved a place in her reader’s hearts with Peachtree Bluff, and it’s so good to be back with the Murphy sisters in this fifth installment of her bestselling series. Five stars!

3.5 ⭐️ Perfectly sweet and maybe a bit not necessary? It was fun going back to Peachtree to be with the Murphy family. The story and writing definitely leaned into too cheesy territory and very Hallmark movie-esque, but again, fun to revisit!

This is the fifth book in the Peachtree Bluff series. It can be read on its own - the author does an excellent job of filling in the details of each novel throughout ths one that a reader who is just picking up this one will not feel like they are missing anything. However, I recommend reading the whole series because I truly have come to love all of the characters.
This novel did seem a bit rushed to me at times, but that may just be because there was so much tot the story. I love how it all came together at the end of the novel.

I was so excited when I heard that there would be another Peachtree Bluff book - this series is one of my all time favorites. I’m a big summer girl so I wasn’t quite ready to break into fall fiction but I couldn’t wait another day to be reunited with Ansley, Sloane, Emerson, Caroline and the whole gang. This book was everything I wanted it to be and more and I hope we get peachtree bluff books for eternity!

It had been a pretty long time since I’d visited Peachtree Bluff, so I’ll admit I was a little nervous going into Falling for Peachtree Bluff. After all, it had been a while since book four, and I wondered if I’d remember all of the characters, relationships, and drama well enough to slip back into the story. Thankfully, I had absolutely nothing to worry about because I fell right back into this world like I’d never left.
It was genuinely delightful to be back with the Murphy family, and this book reminded me just how much I adore this series. There’s something so comforting about returning to a fictional family you already feel like you know, especially when that family is as entertaining, complicated, and deeply involved in one another’s lives as the Murphys.
And there is certainly no shortage of drama this time around. Emerson is planning her wedding while dealing with some deeply personal struggles, Sloane is watching her dream home turn into a nightmare, Caroline finds herself caught between an old relationship and an unexpected new possibility, and Ansley is facing a scandal that threatens to shake up more than just her own life. Somehow, all of these storylines weave together naturally because these women are always in each other’s business. 😂 They may have their own lives, relationships, problems, and secrets, but they are never too far away from one another—and honestly, that’s exactly how I like it.
What I loved most was how much this book still felt like the Peachtree Bluff I remembered. There’s plenty of family drama and juicy gossip, but it’s balanced with so much warmth, humor, Southern charm, and those cozy small town vibes that make this series such a pleasure to read. There’s always something happening, someone getting involved where they probably shouldn’t, and another layer of family history or relationship drama waiting to unfold.
It also turned out to be such a perfect fall read. There’s something about returning to Peachtree Bluff with its close knit community, complicated families, and comforting small town atmosphere that feels especially lovely this time of year.

I loved being back in Peachtree Bluff, catching up with Ansley, her three daughters and their children, and Jack, the love of her life! Changes are coming for all of them, as summer moves into fall, with babies and marriages and exes and new adventures for everyone! I’ve come to care about this wonderful family, and this book carries on the tradition of heart, family, and home. I received an advance reader copy of this book.

Falling for Peachtree Bluff is the 5th book in the Peachtree Bluff series and I'm sure you'll be shocked to learn I read this out of order. Even though I haven’t read the first four (they’ve ALL been sitting on my wishlist for a bit), I thought this one read totally fine on its own. I personally feel like you cannot go wrong with a KWH book and this just showed me why I need to go back and start at the beginning!
Where do I even start?! This book felt like the coziest little small town life story with multiple storylines that I was equally invested in. I loved ALL of the characters (yes, even the teenagers 😂), but my absolute favorite part was the LOYALTY between these sisters. They were literally ride or die. As someone who feels that exact way about my own sister...those relationships in this book really resonated with me. ❤️
There’s also this central love story…there is a new romance and a second chance romance and I’m just going to say this...I think the best man won.😉There are also some heavier topics in this one including miscarriage, surrogacy, and infidelity so check those trigger warnings. I will say though I thought Kristy handled them with the care. Shew....and then there's that ending. I had so many feels. I don’t know what it was about this book but by the time I reached the end of this one my emotions had decided to clock in for overtime. I’m officially adding the entire Peachtree Bluff series to my TBR stat because now I need to see where this Murphy family started!
If you’re already a Peachtree Bluff fan, I can absolutely see why you’d want to revisit these characters and encourage you to do so! But if you’re like me and somehow jumped into book FIVE first…well, I still encourage you to do so. It'll keep things in life exciting.😂

Caroline’s precious daughter Vivi, introduced in book four as a POV character, is also embracing the fall season and dealing with high school love as the family prepares for Emerson’s impending nuptials, and Sloane’s newest pregnancy.

I absolutely adore this series and this fall setting has made me excited for Autumn though I'm reading this in April. I love seeing my favorite sisters and what's new in their lives as they prepare for Emerson & Kyle's wedding, Sloane is pregnant as their house renovations are a nightmare and Caroline is in a love triangle with her not quite ex-husband and a movie star. Plus Ainsley and Jack! I also loved seeing Vivi's chapters too!
I love the relationships in this this book (and series) and the final paragraph had me tearing up. This town worms its way into your heart and never lets go.

Kristy Woodson Harvey started the Peachtree Bluff series in 2017 and published a book each year for four years. She thought that the series was finished with book four but then got an idea for one more book set in the beautiful coastal town of Peachtree Bluff, Georgia. Her readers – especially this one – were thrilled to go back and spend time with the Murphy family. Even though she says that this is the final book in the series, I don’t think there would be any complaints if sometime in the future, she took us back to Peachtree Bluff.
In the previous books in this series, there was always a lot of drama going on in the Murphy family and this book is full of family drama.
- Older sister Caroline still hasn’t divorced her cheating husband Jack but has no desire to become a couple again. She is busy raising her uber critical and mouthy teen age daughter Vivi and her precious son. As usual she spends her time between New York City and Georgia and is working hard to make Sloane-Emerson design store a success in New York City. She’s the typical older sister who bosses around and takes care of her younger sisters but will she find happiness?
-Middle sister Sloane is dealing with two young boys and is pregnant with her third. She and her husband have been building a house in Peachtree Bluff and everything that could go wrong has gone wrong with the house and it is beginning to look like they may not be able to move in before the baby is born.
-Youngest sister Emerson is starring in a TV drama and getting ready to marry the love of her life Kyle. She wants to get pregnant again and between that and wedding plans, her stress level is high.
-Vivi, Caroline’s daughter, is in love with a local boy but finding it difficult to maintain a long-distance relationship. Will she and Tyler be able to maintain their relationship and go to college together.
-Ansley – last but not least is the matriarch of the Murphy family. Ansley is still madly in love with Jack but it seems like he is keeping secrets from her and when she finds out what is going on, she has to decide whether she will leave the home she loves or lose the love of her life.
With babies due and babies wished for, wedding plans and building a house, there is always something going on in the Murphy family but the bond between the sisters and their mother remains strong no matter what is going on and they all rely on each other in the tough times and enjoy other in the good times.

I only relatively recently "discovered" Kristy Woodson Harvey's books, and as such I have not read previous books in the Peachtree Bluff series. That said, I felt like she did a good job of covering key events affecting the Murphy family so I could jump right in without feeling lost. This story centers on the lives of matriarch Ansley, her three daughters, Caroline, Sloane and Emerson, and Caroline's 16 year-old daughter, Vivi - their romances, their love for each other and strong family bond, and their love of Peachtree Bluff, a fictional coastal town in North Carolina. It is a cohesive story, despite lots of perspectives and threads. Each of the five Murphy woman getting their own story line: Ansley is worried her new husband wants to move her from Peachtree Bluff, Sloane is worried about losing her pregnancy, Emerson is worried she can't get pregnant again, Vivi is worried her long-distance relationship won't last, and Caroline is worried about everything and everyone and has to decide if she is going to sacrifice her own happiness to do what she thinks is right for her family. Despite everything going on, the book was easy to follow, and despite it being a little Hallmark movie-ish, I couldn't help but like the characters and be invested in their happiness. In this fifth installment of the Peachtree Bluff series, the Murphy family matriarch Ansley and her three adult daughters, Caroline, Sloane, and Emerson, embark on the fall season as they plan a wedding, renovate a home, manage pregnancy, fall in love, and tackle a scandal all while leaning on one another for support.
I was so excited to dive back into the Murphy women’s lives, and loved that this latest book is set against an idyllic fall coastal town backdrop. This is the fifth book in the Peachtree Bluff series (definitely read books 1-4 first to get the full story—I read all four this past summer), and much like the fourth book, Christmas in Peachtree Bluff, this book is told from the POVs of Ansley, her three daughters, and her teenage granddaughter, Vivi. The autumn vibes were Gilmore Girls-esque perfection, and there was plenty of drama, secrets, and family connection. Overall, I’d highly recommend this book and series!

I’m home…right where I belong. That’s the feeling a reader gets from Kristy Woodson Harvey’s newest release, Falling for Peachtree Bluff, the fifth book in the series. How did this Georgia girl miss out on these warm and genuine stories? The setting is a friendly southern coastal town, with a closeknit, and perhaps a little nosy, community.
The extended Murphy clan resembles every one of our families in some way. They’re real, and it sometimes gets messy. The youngest daughter is planning a wedding; a new baby is on the way; and a house is in the midst of remodeling. I love strong female characters, and my favorite is Caroline who describes herself as the fixer. There is a new husband, an almost ex-husband, a fling with a movie star, a clingy admirer, boyfriends, and love triangles. It’s fast-paced and oh-so-much fun!
This book showed up just when I needed a good ‘snuggle in a blanket with the cat and a pumpkin latte’ kind of book. Turn up the air conditioning, pretend it’s fall, and read this 5-star masterwork.

I do love a sweet and cozy read that feels a little bit like a Hallmark movie! This was my first book in the Peachtree Bluff series, and while I do think it can be read as a standalone, I found myself wishing I had read the previous books first. There are quite a few characters and relationships introduced right away, so I think having that background would have made it easier to fully settle into the story. With that said, I really enjoyed the picturesque small town setting and the strong sense of family and community throughout the book. There’s something comforting about a story centered around family bonds, complicated relationships, and a town that feels like home. I really loved the autumn atmosphere, it gave the whole story that cozy, crisp, seasonal feeling I was looking for Overall, this was an enjoyable and charming read and definitely one to pick up when you’re in the mood for a little Hallmark style read with an autumn backdrop!

As fall approaches I'm always on the lookout for fall romance, so I grabbed this without realizing it is book five in a series. Though the author does a masterful job of trying to recap FOUR books, it was a lot for me to take in. Completely my fault and when the Spooky Season is over, I'd love to start from book one and figure out all the drama in the Murphy family.
If you're looking for a romance series, this book is in the Virgin River lane, with as small town Georgia setting, a multigenerational cast that you watch grow up book by book, and a sweet and cozy feel. Just start from book one and you'll be fine!

I honestly didn’t remember a ton of the details about the Murphy family going into this, but you definitely don’t need to do a full reread beforehand. KWH does an excellent job of bringing you back into the story and making you feel caught up with the characters and their lives.
The story is incredibly sweet, and I loved getting to dive deeper into all of the sister, partner, and parent/child relationships. There was so much heart in the family dynamics, and I could absolutely see why Kristy felt there was more story to tell about the Murphy family. It was delightful to catch up with these characters and see how their relationships have evolved. The characters’ arcs feel complete and resolved, but I would love to see a second-generation spinoff from this world!
If you love cozy small-town stories, family dynamics, and a whole lot of heart, this is such a fun series to read fully!

With the Murphys, you can always count on a little drama with a whole lot of love. There are no boundaries in this family! 🙆🏽♀️ They may be complicated but they're so deeply embedded in each other's lives that it's comforting as much as it's entertaining. There are secrets galore, juicy gossip, scandals and all the nosy townspeople who mean well but could also benefit from minding their own business. 🤭 Southern hospitality at its finest, you could say. The sisterly relationship between Caroline, Emerson and Sloane is one of my favorite aspects of this series. I did struggle a bit with Caroline's choices this time around but I understand she thought she was doing right by her sister. Couldn't be me, and I LOVE my sister. 🤣 When you're finished, this'll make you want to hug your family really tight!
So, grab a pumpkin spice latte and a cozy blanket and tuck yourself in for a charming yet dramatic journey!
Although FALLING FOR PEACHTREE BLUFF can be read as a standalone because Harvey does a great job of filling you in on the past, I strongly recommend reading books 1-4 to enjoy the full experience and history of these quirky characters and their sweet town. The full cast narration was excellent!

You can always count on Kristy for excellent small town cozy vibes. I love her beach reads, so I was super excited to check out this one set in fall! I loved the vibes and the big, drama-filled Murphy family. If you love a good beach read but you’re ready for the change in seasons, this one should definitely be on your radar! The audiobook is narrated by Janet Metzger, Shannon McManus, Reboss, Erin Ruth Walker, Candace Thaxton. There are several points of view in this book, and I love am audiobook with a separate narrator to bring each

I started Kristy Woodson Harvey’s Falling for Peachtree Bluff with my coffee beside me and that dangerous little promise that I was only going to read a few chapters before getting on with my day. Yeah…that didn’t happen. Thank you so much to Gallery Books for the gifted copy and Simon & Schuster Audio for the ALC because I ended up going back and forth between my Kindle and the audiobook every chance I got. Do you have a fictional family where returning to them feels less like starting another book and more like catching up on several years of very juicy family gossip?
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Coming back to Peachtree Bluff and the Murphy women was exactly what I wanted it to be. Ansley, Caroline, Sloane, and Emerson have changed, their families have grown, and life has definitely not gotten any less complicated. There are weddings to plan, babies on the way, fertility struggles, a house project from absolute hell, marriage questions, old loves refusing to stay in the past, new romance showing up at a very inconvenient time, and one family secret that could affect far more than just the Murphys.
I especially loved that each woman is dealing with something completely different while still being tangled up in everyone else’s business. Because apparently boundaries are optional when you’re a Murphy.
Emerson’s story really got me. She should be completely wrapped up in the happiness of marrying Kyle, but her struggle to have another baby keeps sneaking into moments that should feel joyful. Sloane is pregnant while trying to get her disaster of a house finished before the baby arrives. And Caroline, forever the big sister who believes she can fix everybody, suddenly has two men making her own life considerably harder to organize. I had opinions about that situation. Many opinions.
And Ansley and Jack? I thought those two had earned the right to sit back and enjoy their happily ever after, but apparently Kristy had other plans.
The audiobook made me love this return even more. Janet Metzger, Shannon McManus, Rebekkah Ross, Erin Ruth Walker, and Candace Thaxton give the women such distinct personalities, while Simon & Schuster Audio’s full production makes moving between all these lives surprisingly easy to follow. I loved having different voices for a story that is so deeply about mothers, daughters, sisters, and generations of women. It made the emotional moments feel more intimate and the family banter even more fun. I listened during my commute and then switched right back to my Kindle when I got home because I wasn’t ready to stop.
Then Kristy wrapped the whole thing in fall—crisp air, football, weddings, small-town traditions, pumpkin spice, family gatherings, and that particular kind of Southern coziness she does so well. Coming back to Peachtree Bluff and the Murphy women was exactly what I wanted it to be. Ansley, Caroline, Sloane, and Emerson have changed, their families have grown, and life has definitely not gotten any less complicated. There are weddings to plan, babies on the way, fertility struggles, a house project from absolute hell, marriage questions, old loves refusing to stay in the past, new romance showing up at a very inconvenient time, and one family secret that could affect far more than just the Murphys.
I especially loved that each woman is dealing with something completely different while still being tangled up in everyone else’s business. Because apparently boundaries are optional when you’re a Murphy.
Emerson’s story really got me. She should be completely wrapped up in the happiness of marrying Kyle, but her struggle to have another baby keeps sneaking into moments that should feel joyful. Sloane is pregnant while trying to get her disaster of a house finished before the baby arrives. And Caroline, forever the big sister who believes she can fix everybody, suddenly has two men making her own life considerably harder to organize. I had opinions about that situation. Many opinions.
And Ansley and Jack? I thought those two had earned the right to sit back and enjoy their happily ever after, but apparently Kristy had other plans.
The audiobook made me love this return even more. Janet Metzger, Shannon McManus, Rebekkah Ross, Erin Ruth Walker, and Candace Thaxton give the women such distinct personalities, while Simon & Schuster Audio’s full production makes moving between all these lives surprisingly easy to follow. I loved having different voices for a story that is so deeply about mothers, daughters, sisters, and generations of women. It made the emotional moments feel more intimate and the family banter even more fun. I listened during my commute and then switched right back to my Kindle when I got home because I wasn’t ready to stop.
Then Kristy wrapped the whole thing in fall—crisp air, football, weddings, small-town traditions, pumpkin spice, family gatherings, and that particular kind of Southern coziness she does so well. It made me want to pour another cup of coffee, ignore everything on my to-do list, and move to Peachtree Bluff.

There is absolutely nothing like that first hint of fall in the air, the crispness, the anticipation of a new season, and a mug of hot apple cider with cinnamon sticks. Falling for Peachtree Bluff captures that feeling so well.
Set in a charming coastal town as summer gives way to fall, this story has such a warm, comforting atmosphere. But as much as I loved the seasonal details and Peachtree Bluff itself, the heart of this book is the Murphy family.
This was my first book in the series, and Kristy Woodson Harvey does a wonderful job giving new readers enough background to understand the characters, their relationships, and the history between them. I never felt lost, and I thought it was very well written to be enjoyed as a standalone.
That being said, I think I would have loved it even more if I had started at the beginning. The Murphy family is big, complicated, and wonderfully intertwined, and you can feel how much history exists between these characters. There were definitely moments when I wished I already knew all the stories that brought them here.
The relationships were easily my favorite part. Ansley and her daughters bring so much warmth to the story, and I loved the mix of sisterhood, mother-daughter bonds, romance, family secrets, and all the messiness that comes with loving people for a lifetime. They aren’t a perfect family, which is exactly what makes them so enjoyable to read about.
Between the coastal setting, crisp fall atmosphere, family drama, and characters who genuinely care about one another, this felt like the kind of book you want to curl up with as the seasons begin to change.
If you’re new to Peachtree Bluff like I was, you absolutely can start here and still enjoy it. But if you have the chance, I’d start with the first book and get to know the Murphy family from the beginning.

Falling for Peachtree Bluff was such a fun fall family story. This book is the fifth book in the Peachtree Bluff series. Not having read the other four books in the series, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book. The author does a good job of filling you in about the characters’ stories and this book can be read as a standalone.
This book follows the story of Ansley Murphy and her three grown daughters (Sloane, Emerson, Caroline). Ansley lives in her family’s historical home in Peachtree Bluff in southern Georgia. Ansley is the patriarch of the family and started the family business named “Sloane Emerson”. What once started as just one store has now expanded into multiple locations and cities.
Eldest sister, Caroline lives in New York City with her daughter and runs the New York location of the Sloane Emerson store. Her husband (soon to be ex-husband) had a very public affair that left her life in shambles. Sloanes live is spent half in New York City managing the store and the other half in Peachtree Bluff. Caroline is in a love triangle with her not quite ex-husband and Emersons hunky costar.
Middle Sister Sloane, her husband, and her two boys live in Peachtree Bluff. Sloane is the curator of all the Sloane Emerson stores nationwide but is currently pregnant with their third child and doesn’t see herself keeping up with the family business. Her house has been in the stages of being built for ages, so she calls in the big sister Caroline to help finish it out. She needs to move in before the baby arrives.

I absolutely treasured my time in Peachtree Bluff!
Some of the most precious parts of a life are the time we get with the people we love. What a gift that is.
I loved the Murphy women. Mothers, daughters, sisters…and all the years that exist between those words. Nothing in this family is felt entirely alone. Somehow, that said more about their love than anything else could.
I also loved watching their other relationships grow alongside them…marriages and partnerships, the excitement of new love, and even love that has always been there finding its way back in adulthood. There are so many different ways people choose and keep choosing one another in this family, and I loved that.
I haven’t read the entire series, but I never felt lost jumping into this one. I became so attached to this family that now I want to go back and start from the beginning-and goodness, it made me want all the fall things. My brain has officially moved on to autumn whether the calendar agrees or not.
More than anything, though, this made me think about my own family. How quickly the years move and how much of a life is made in completely ordinary days together. The conversations around the table, the laughter, the phone calls, all those little moments I already treasure so much. It made me want more of them. Stay at the table longer. Laugh a little more. Make the phone call just because. Cherish them…and when everyone you love is together, wish the clock would forget to move for a while.
I left Peachtree Bluff grateful for my own people, completely ready for autumn, and determined to figure out my own version of a Peachtree Spice coffee. Don’t pass this beautiful book by. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

*Falling for Peachtree Bluff* is the kind of book that makes you want to pack a bag and head straight for a charming Southern town where everyone knows everyone, family is complicated, and there is always something happening just beneath the surface.
Kristy Woodson Harvey does such a wonderful job creating characters who feel like people you could actually know. The family relationships were one of my favorite parts of the book. They are loving but imperfect, and the complicated dynamics between mothers, daughters, sisters, and the people they choose to bring into their lives give the story plenty of heart. There are moments that are funny and lighthearted alongside more emotional ones, which kept the story from ever feeling too heavy.
I also loved returning to the Peachtree Bluff setting. Harvey has a talent for creating Southern communities that feel warm and inviting without making everything picture-perfect. The setting becomes almost another character in the story, and I could easily picture the homes, the water, and the small-town atmosphere as I was reading.
The romance was sweet and enjoyable, although the family storylines were ultimately what kept me most invested. There were a few moments when the pacing slowed or I wanted a little more depth from certain parts of the story, which kept this from being a five-star read for me.
Overall, *Falling for Peachtree Bluff* was a warm, charming, and heartfelt read about love, family, second chances, and finding where you belong. Fans of Southern women’s fiction and stories centered around complicated but deeply connected families should find plenty to enjoy here.

Seemingly never without a crisis, but never without support, we are reintroduced to strong-willed, independent Caroline, artistic, sweet Sloane, and creative and talented Emerson, the infamous Murphy sisters. Throw matriarch Ansley and Caroline’s teen daughter Vivi into the mix with the troubled waters of romance, pregnancy, career decisions, some strong-willed males and the hint of a town scandal and you have the perfect brew stirred up for a read that will keep you spellbound. I found the words of the novel creating a powerful yet sweet melody that touched my soul, creating a rising tide of joy in reading it that propelled me to want to read on.
