More of a 3.5 star rating;
Read the official English translation through an app called “MANGA Plus by SHUEISHA”.
This volume focused more on the school’s sports festival and the student body interacting with each other and with Aoki. I really liked seeing all of the different dynamics amongst all of the students, although, it was pretty confusing keeping track of all of the names and how they connect (or don’t connect) to Aoki. This was a really interesting volume since we got to see a bit more into Aoki’s mindset in relation to her abilities and how they impact her social life; I liked seeing her one friend in particular being just as stubborn as she is and sticking by her side.
I’m curious for the next volume to reread how Aoki continues to navigate school, and navigates her new ice power.

Me ha encantado en todos los sentidos. La relación de Ruri con sus amigas durante el festival deportivo escolar, la forma en que debe lidiar con los problemas derivados de sus distintas manifestaciones dracónicas y cómo va encontrando una resolución para cada situación están muy bien llevadas. Me fascinan este tipo de historias, quizás sabes más o menos lo que va a pasar, pero aun así logran emocionarte. Me encanta verlas y leerlas porque son pura zona de confort, historias que abrazan y acompañan. Eso sí, también me deja con curiosidad saber hasta qué punto todas y todos estarán dispuestos a implicarse con Ruri, porque es lógico pensar que en algún momento alguien podría agotarse. Tengo muchas ganas de ver cómo el manga abordará y resolverá ese punto.

Eventful volume. Even though it’s already vol. 4, only a month has gone since Ruri learned she’s a half-dragon. She thinks she has things finally under control. She’s on the sports day committee, and having a great time. But everyone’s attention on her is starting to get on her nerves, until she bursts into fire, literally. Turns out it’s a trait she can’t really switch off.

She also gains a new ability to freeze things around her, which isn’t fun to deal with either. It’s time to seriously consider if she wants to remain among humans or retreat to solitude like dragons. A lot of soul-searching, growing up, and forming friendships in this volume. And there’s more to come.

Et si on se détacher des fil conducteur pour apprécier la tranche de vie que nous propose Ruridragon? Ce manga est slice of life, on voit une partie de la vie du personnage, il n’a pas vocation (dans ma projection de ce genre) d’un fil conducteur. Ce que j’aime avec ce manga c’est qu’on suit une évolution, et une acceptation de soit à toute épreuve. Et dans ce tome, vraiment Notre petite Ruri doit affronter 2 nouveaux “pouvoir” qui ne sont pas facile à accepter et à apprivoiser. Dans ce tome on voit qu’elle est soutenue, que ses camarades sont présent même s’ils comprennent pas tout. Hâte de suivre l’aventure de Ruri

Ruri’s emotions are what make this series so special. This volume was so good! The pool jump panel was so pretty too! Like the whole sequence up to it had me emotional 10/10 vibes this volume.
