J’ai mis un certain temps avant de réussir à me plonger pleinement dans ce polar mais une fois que c’était bon, j’ai trouvé ça très sympa !

The Puzzle Game (2026)
Writer – Herik Hanna
Artist – Denys
Genre – Drama, Romance, Crime, Mystery
Synopsis: An author with a tragic past is pulled back into events that eerily mirror his past, beginning with the appearance of a mysterious woman who looks remarkably familiar.
The story follows an author who has withdrawn from the spotlight and is living quietly in his family home in a small town. When his agent brings him back into the limelight for a book fair, things begin to go wrong. His past is marked by a tragic home burglary that ended with his wife being killed by a deranged murderer.
Much of the book, perhaps around 75%, moves rather slowly through familiar territory. The beginning is particularly slow, and the pace picks up only gradually. However, the final chapter is where the twists and mysteries finally unfold, turning the ending into a whirlwind of revelations and making up for some of the slower sections.
The artwork is good, clean, and easy to follow. The characters are generally well developed and relatable, while the story itself works as a fairly decent crime mystery.
The main drawback is that some parts of the story feel a little too convenient. There is also significantly more time spent setting up the characters and circumstances than on the final payoff. The slow pacing, especially at the beginning, may test some readers' patience.
Overall, it’s a good read.
RJG Rating – 3.5/5
Goodreads – 3.88/5
