*THIS WAS AN ARC READ, THESE ARE MY HONEST THOUGHTS*
This was such a fun, easy-to-get-into read that hooked me pretty quickly. The opening alone had me.... there’s something about that high-energy baseball moment turning into absolute chaos (“Half the back of my uniform is gone.”) that immediately sets the tone. It’s playful, a little messy, and doesn’t take itself too seriously in the best way.
Dillon and Alicia’s dynamic really works. The fake engagement trope can feel overdone, but here it felt natural, especially with the added pressure of PR drama and her visa situation. There’s this steady undercurrent of “this is supposed to be pretend… but it doesn’t feel like it anymore,” and I liked how that tension built instead of being rushed.
I also really enjoyed the writing style. The short, punchy lines keep everything moving and make emotional moments hit harder, especially in scenes like the elevator or the quiet, more intimate conversations. It gives the story a kind of rhythm that fits both the sports setting and the romance.
And honestly, Fluffybum deserves a shoutout because that dog stole multiple scenes.
It does lean a little predictable in places, especially if you read a lot of fake relationship or surprise pregnancy romances, but it still manages to stay engaging because of the character chemistry and the pacing.
Overall, this was a solid, entertaining read with a good mix of humor, emotion, and romance. Definitely one to pick up if you’re into sports romance with a softer, slightly chaotic edge.

OMG! This series is FANtastic and each story is full of romance, steam and snark. Luv, luv, luv this series!!!

The characters were so very appealing and likeable and complicated and perfectly steamy and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building just gets better with each new book. Another great addition to the series! Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

This is another great story from Kessandra Wick. Her approach to craft stories that bring chemisty, steam, laughter, a small conflict and the sweetes puppy around.
Dillon is a ball player who needs rehab and reaches Alicia to privately help him get back into playing form. When she is caught leaving his apartment with her pooch, the press will weave a story that is frown upon. So they fake a relationship that will benefit them both. Alicia needs papers to stay in the US, she weaves a plan with Dillon that will provide her with immigration status in exchange for his rehab.
But we all know that the sparks change fake to real quickly and a surprise pregnancy is what comes out of the encounter, leading them to form a family and HEA

The Baby bump crew comes together to embrace Dillon, Alicia, and Fluffybum and their love story. Dillon is a baseball player who has an injured wrist He doesn’t want the team to know about his injury so he calls physical therapist Alicia who he has worked with in the past. Alicia gets photographer leaving Dillon’s late at night and the gossip starts. To get ahead of the narrative, they fake an engagement that soon starts feeling real. Dillon has always vowed he will never marry but soon he realizes Alicia is the person he has always been waiting for. Great ending!.

loved it !! love this series !! love Alicia and Dillon and Fluffybum !!! this is their story... a fun fast paced rom/com drama... it started with Dillon getting injured but, wanting to keep it quiet... Alicia his therapist, helps him out on the down low.. then, gets photographed leaving his place late at night... oops !!! they announce that they are engaged to save their careers... but, she needs help with her visa... and then, the baby bump... and Fluffybum !!! so sweet !!!.

This was a really enjoyable read with a fun mix of sports and romance. The chemistry between Dillon and Alicia felt natural, and the fake engagement trope was handled in an engaging way. The storyline kept me interested throughout, and I especially liked the lighthearted moments (Fluffybum was a great touch!). While some parts felt a bit predictable, it was still a solid and entertaining book overall.

I loved this book, it has everything you could want. Sports fans get Dillon the baseball star, fake relationship fans get the fake it until it's real with Alicia the physical therapist and don't forget Fluffybum the Pomeranian. I couldn't put this one down it is that good.

This was a fabulous read. The characters were beautifully written and the storyline flowed smoothly. If you are into baseball romance stories here is your chance to read a 5-star romance book.
