“You have no idea how lucky you are that I’m not who I used to be.”
I spat, the words tasting like poison.
“I pulled the trigger, and that was me showing mercy. The fact that I’m even speaking to you right now is a miracle you don’t deserve.”
Versace was never meant to survive the mafia world — let alone rule it.
Bold, sharp-tongued, and fiercely independent, she kept everyone at arm’s length. She ran away from home, wanting nothing to do with the mafia. In her world, trust is fatal, desire is dangerous, and men like Dominic Moretti destroy everything they touch.
Dominic is a mafia king — ruthless, calculated, untouchable. A man who commands fear and loyalty in equal measure. A man who should never have crossed her path.
One dare. One kiss. One mistake that changes everything.
When Dominic kills her best friend before her eyes, admiration turns into hatred, and grief hardens into revenge. She returns to claim her seat, ready to bring everyone who wronged her to their knees. What follows is a brutal game of power, betrayal, and forbidden desire — where every choice bleeds, and mercy is a weakness.
She won’t bend. He won’t break.
They were never meant to love each other. They were meant to burn.
Real queens don’t cry in couture… they burn empires in heels.
I LOVED this book it was such an incredible story and so empowering. With every sentence I read I got more excited for the next. I want to thank the author(trekonsi) for the opportunity to arc read the book and I am honored to have had the opportunity to do it. The writing was amazing and I love how the story flowed with the plot twists. I love that I can recommend the book to younger nieces who love reading but want to keep it closed door.
Girl you made a masterpiece and I am forever thankful that I had the opportunity to read it🤍
The storyline is good. But the writing is confusing sometimes.
There are to many nicknames, which makes it confusing to read.
Sometimes the story misses some pieces of information
Sometimes the dates don't line up: Was she (Sanaaya) dead for 3 or 4 years? Because she said both. How long was she (Versace) kidnapped? 1 week or 1 month? Again both are said.
Overall the story was good and I like reading it!

I absolutely loved this one, it was a fun read and I absolutely love a strong female, I don't know what it is but I just like a strong woman and I can definitely relate to her. if you are looking for a book with emotions, this isn't it. if you want a roller coaster of emotions, this is it like don't look no further run. put it on your list. it is a must read with a happily ever after and who doesn't love a happily ever after who doesn't love a strong female character. this is definitely one of my favorites of 2026
3.5☆ If you're a fan of eventful stories and sizzling and humming tension between the main characters with a sprinkle of angst you're gonna love this book!
I had the honor to ARC (and beta) read this book, so I might be a little biased but will do my best to review this book honestly :)
This can be both a good and bad thing (depends on your taste in books): There are lots and lots of plottwists in this book! You rarely get a chance to enjoy the quiet because it never stays that way for long which, as I already said, is both a good and bad thing!
One thing I deeply love about this book and the authors writing, is the symbolism and the way things are described with so much details, it brings the reader closer to the situation etc (I hope you get what I mean) You'll find at least one quotable sentence in every chapter, which makes the book and reading even more beautiful!<3
Another thing is the tension between the FMC and the MMC...just wow! The author captured that so beautifully!
Also the ending was so beautiful<3
And the Cover is so pretty as well!
Overall I just loved, loved, loved the vibe of this book, of this Story, formidable...
Now about the things I didn't like/critique: !!!Massive Spoiler warning here btw!!! There were some things that made no or little sense and definitly would have required more context: -How did they fake Sanaas death so well, need more details, like was she really shot, if yes how did she survive that, how did they fake her body being flown into the city for her funeral etc? Would've loved to have more details about that. (-Maybe a scene/more details about Versace in therapy would've been good.) -Who exactly gave Kashani the nennt that Sanaa is alive? -If she can't remember the last 3 months, why does she remember that Sanaa is alive, and Dominic didn't kill her? -When exactly did Dominc write the letter (where he explains his tactics/plan), like before or after she shot him, and if it was after, how exactly did he manage to do that especially being so heavily wounded?
A few things I just would have loved to know more about/am confused by: -In the beginning of the book the FMC says Versace ist one of her middle names and her last name... later on it suddenly is her first and last name, which is very confusing?! -FMCs moms name changed throughout the book from Alura to Allura -Why never mention more about Domincs sister, not even in his POV chapters...? -Would have loved to know Asvikas role/reaction at/to the wedding
Just a personal opinion: -There should be cheating mentioned in the trigger warnings (because basically she did cheat on Aurelio with Dominc (when he was sick) -Both Sanaa and Zorian deserved more of a punishment from FMC or at least more of her anger, more consequences (especially Zorian...I mean she even shot Dominc for his betrayal, then she should've done maybe even worse to Zorian for betraying her) -There should've been at least one chapter in Domincs POV while he was hiding (after he "died") -Some charcters that play a pretty big role in the beginning of the book, just didn't apear later on, e.g.: Asvikas parents, would've also loved to have an interaction between them and Versaces mom.
I also (personally) think there were way, way too many things happening, and in some parts it almost felt like it just were tropes after tropes after tropes being pressed into the book, and there was plottwist after plottwist after plottwist, like you could've filled two if not three books with that, which was entertainig but a few times it also was pretty annoying... And there were some spelling errors (which is pretty common in pretty much every book tho, so no worries).
Overall this book is for a debut novel (especially a self published one) pretty good, it really has a solid base and I love a lot about it, but there are also things that I don't like and annoy me, which is why I'll give it 3.5☆ Much love to the author, you can be very proud of what you created and I would love to read more of you in the future!<3

I really enjoyed this book overall—it had a strong emotional and romantic atmosphere that kept me engaged from beginning to end. The pacing felt just right, and I found myself consistently wanting to keep reading, which is something I don’t usually experience with longer books.
One of my favourite aspects was the character dynamic, especially between Ara and Dominic. Dominic’s personality stood out to me—he had that controlled, dominant presence, but also knew when to soften, which made their interactions really compelling. Certain moments between them, like when he took care of her while she was sick, added a lot of tension and made their relationship feel impactful and memorable. I also really liked how Ara herself was written—she was strong, stubborn, and in control, which made her stand out as a powerful female lead. The balance between her independence and the moments where she allowed herself to be vulnerable around Dominic was something I really enjoyed.
Emotionally, the story had some strong moments. Sanna’s storyline, in particular, left an impression on me. The fact that Ara had to grieve her for years, only for her to return without explanation and then die again, felt very frustrating but also impactful. I did wish there had been more closure regarding Sanna’s reasoning, as that part left me with questions, but it still added to the emotional weight of the story.
There were also moments that genuinely surprised me, especially involving Dominic. When he appeared to take the enemy’s side, it created a strong sense of betrayal and tension, which made those scenes very intense to read. Even though things were later explained, that emotional reaction really showed how invested I had become in the story.
The writing style was easy to follow and flowed well, which made the book accessible and enjoyable to read without feeling overwhelming. I also appreciated that the story balanced its themes well—it wasn’t overly focused on one aspect, and the mix of tension, romance, and plot kept things interesting throughout.
I was satisfied with the ending overall. It felt complete and didn’t seem rushed, and I liked how certain character arcs were handled, especially the decisions Ara made regarding the people around her.
I would recommend this book to readers who enjoy romance with a strong, powerful female lead, especially those who like tension-filled relationships and emotional storylines. Even as someone who doesn’t usually read this type of story often, I found myself genuinely enjoying it.
Overall, this was a really good read, and I’m glad I had the chance to experience it.

My intake about Versace so far is Arabella is like me In a way I can relate to her especially when it comes to meeting new people how you freeze up now the mystery hazel eye men is mysterious I feel like he likes her in a way 9/10 probably in a lustful way(1-2) chapters)Arabella is very indecisive when it comes to what she wants so like me in so many ways but yeah she likes but him now for hazel eyes he definitely got feelings idk if it’s lust or not(chapter 3(4)Arabella doesn’t like men I could tell or had a bad experience with a men before and she’s a very successful woman that got it going on.Arabella got herself in a sticky situation and I can relate because I somehow always found myself in situations but she has a mysterious personality towards her and for hazel eyes takes a plot twist he’s not that bad I’m loving this book so much it’s getting juicy(5-6).So my conclusion is Arabella has feelings for hazel eyes and vice versa from the looks of it i don’t know now confusion Arabella doesn’t like someone either. In my conclusion about chapters 7-8 is something i need a break from reality that’s exactly what Arabella needed i really do hope she finds her happy ending. This chapter was sad and not was what i was expecting Arabella is going to be something so different from what she was she’s back (9-10).So this was also a plot twist for chapters(11-12)wow this was something I wasn’t expecting not one Arabella did not come to play I love it tho that’s what’s power is all about when you come for it gotta be ready at all times no matter what. The chapters in (13-14)were very calm but still had that kick to it Arabella is claiming it all I love that about her she’s feisty.Same thing with chapters (13-14),(15,16)was calm as well even tho Arabella is something else in a fun way tho she’s adventurous and everything else i really do love me some Arabella I’m starting to think she really does not like men.So in my mind for chapters (17,18)I feel like she’s trying to find something different from what she knew then I’m not sure what it is but I can’t wait I have some questions as well but I don’t wanna spoil anything so it will remind unspoken.Plot twist between chapters(19,20)was and wasn’t expecting Arabella to come face to face with somebody but I wanna know how all of this is going to go or end but I think ik how it’s gonna happen and.My overall review of Versace is a 1000/10 I’m loving it so far can’t wait to read more.
I went into Versace: The Violence of Becoming expecting a good mafia romance. What I got was an absolute masterpiece that wrecked me emotionally and had me reading until 3am three nights in a row. Tre KonSi did not come to play this book is EVERYTHING. Let me start with Versace herself, because this woman is a FORCE. She is bold, razor-sharp, and so unapologetically herself that I was obsessed with her from the very first page. She is not the kind of heroine who waits to be rescued she comes back, she rebuilds, and she makes every single person who underestimated her pay the price. Watching her transformation from someone running away from the mafia world to someone returning to own it gave me chills every single time. And Dominic. Oh, Dominic. I hated him. I understood him. I hated that I understood him. The enemies-to-lovers tension between these two is written so masterfully that every stolen glance and charged conversation felt like a lit match being held over gasoline. When they finally collide and trust me, they collide it is explosive in the best possible way. But what truly elevated this book above every other mafia romance I have read is the emotional depth beneath all the chaos. The moment Versace watches her best friend die at Dominic's hands broke my heart completely. That grief is carried through every chapter with such raw authenticity that I felt it in my chest. Her pain is not just a plot device, it is the engine of the entire story, and Tre KonSi handles it with a level of skill that left me genuinely in awe. The writing is sharp, cinematic, and dripping with atmosphere. Every scene in this book feels like it belongs on a screen. The power plays, the betrayals, the moments of unexpected vulnerability all of it is perfectly balanced. And that opening quote? "You have no idea how lucky you are that I'm not who I used to be." I felt that line in my soul. This is the kind of book that leaves a mark. The kind you think about days after you finish it. The kind you press into the hands of every reader you know and say "read this immediately." Real queens don't cry in couture they burn empires in heels. 🖤🔥 And Tre KonSi? You just burned down my entire reading list. Bravo.
I was given the opportunity to beta read Versace. The premise absolutely screamed high drama mafia romance but the execution landed somewhere in the middle for me. The story thrived on big emotions, power plays and a heavy enemies to lovers dynamic that kept the tension simmering.
Arabella is easily the strongest part of the book where she's bold, sharp tongued and determined to carve her place in a brutal world that never expected her to lead. Her stubbornness and revenge arc makes her compelling to follow. Dominic Moretti on the other hand fit the classic ruthless mafia king mold: cold, powerful and dangerous in all the ways dark romance readers expect. Their relationship ran on hatred, attraction and power struggles, which made their dynamic interesting even when the emotional shifts felt a bit rushed.
Where the story struggled for me was in its length and structure. There are a lot of character POVs and with so many names and perspectives being introduced, it can become confusing trying to remember who everyone is and how they fit into the bigger picture. At times it felt like the book was weighed down by unnecessary details and extra viewpoints that didn’t always move the story forward. The core plot which was Arabella versus the mafia world and her complicated connection with Dominic is strong enough that the story might actually work better if it were tighter and more focused.
That said, shoutout to the gorgeous cover and the whole sign up experience for the beta read! It was genuinely fun and felt exclusive which made the process memorable before even opening the book.
Overall, the story had a strong premise and fiery characters but the length and multiple POVs made the story more complicated than it needed to be.
(Thank you to the author for the eARC in exchange for a review. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own)
Book Trope: Mafia Romance. Age Gap. Multiple love interests.
Versace Aratrika Arabella Versace, is heir to the House of Versace she had left her home 3 years ago and went to lead a normal life. But after her friend Sanaaya Khalighi was gunned down she has returned to take control of the empire she left behind and revenge her friend. Versace is Bold, sharp-tongued, and fiercely independent. Versace will go into subconscious - where she thinks its reality, but, it's not, kinda like a dream state. She's never 100% sure if something is real or not. Day dreaming in a way.

Aurelio closest cousin is Dominic Cassian Moretti who is the Mafia King for his family. Dominic and Arabella knew each other years ago when he saved her. But, Dominic doesn't know that she witnessed him killing her best friend / cousin, Sanaaya. Now she’s meeting him again through her now fiancé to be. Zorian sees Versace when she is at her lowest point, when she's venerable, crying, having a breakdown. Will he be able to keep her demons away? Or is he just getting close to her to become her demon?
There are to many nicknames, which makes it confusing to read. Sometimes the character goes by the first name, or the middle name or the childhood nick name.
This is Trekonsi’s debut novel.
I did receive a free ARC copy from the Book Author Tre KonSi. I am freely leaving a honest book review.
My rating for this book is 4.5 but can’t put the half a star ✨✨
Dark, intense, and dripping with power—Versace is a mafia romance that pulls you into a brutal world of revenge, betrayal, and dangerous desire.
From the very beginning, this story sets a ruthless tone. Versace is a fierce, sharp-tongued FMC who refuses to be broken by the world she was born into—or the man who changes everything. Her journey is driven by grief, rage, and a need for revenge, and I loved how unapologetically strong and determined she is throughout.
Dominic Moretti is exactly what you expect from a mafia king—cold, calculated, and powerful—but his dynamic with Versace is where the story really shines. Their relationship is volatile, intense, and layered with tension, making every interaction feel like it could explode at any moment.
One of my favorite things about this book was the constant twists and turns. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, the story shifted in a completely unexpected direction. That unpredictability kept me hooked and made it really hard to put down.
The only small thing that didn’t fully work for me was the FMC having multiple names/nicknames depending on who she was interacting with—it got a little confusing at times. But it didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed the overall story.
If you love: • Dark mafia romance • Revenge-driven heroines • Morally grey, powerful characters • High tension and unpredictable twists • Enemies-to-lovers energy
This is definitely one to check out.
Thank you to the author for the ARC, and apologies for my delayed review—I still thoroughly enjoyed this intense and addictive read
I went into this story really excited because the premise had so much promise. I love a strong mafia romance with a dominant MMC and high-stakes tension, and the concept here definitely had the potential to deliver that.
Unfortunately, the execution didn’t quite work for me. The writing felt confusing at times, with the storyline jumping around in a way that made it difficult to stay grounded in what was happening. There were several grammar and editing errors throughout, which pulled me out of the story and disrupted the flow.
One of my biggest disappointments was the MMC. He was introduced as this powerful, dominant mafia figure, but that intensity didn’t really translate on the page. His presence didn’t feel as commanding or consistent as I expected for that role, which made it hard to fully buy into his character.
Additionally, the name changes were frustrating and distracting. It became difficult to keep track of who was who, and that added to the overall confusion.
Overall, while the story had a strong foundation and an intriguing premise, it would benefit greatly from tighter editing, clearer transitions, and stronger character development—especially for the MMC. I do see the potential here, but it just didn’t fully come together for me.
This is Trekonsi’s debut novel, and it hits the reader with such force that when you close the book, you’re left sitting there wondering: What just happened? And where on earth does Trekonsi come up with all these twists? And why is this the first book only now?
Imagine your best friend dying in your arms. Something happens in that moment, something that shouldn’t have been possible, and it pulls you toward a path you never meant to walk again. Your friend’s death drags you back into your birth‑world, into being what you were raised to be. At the announcement party of a strategically beneficial fusion marriage, you’re surrounded by people whose presence ties your future and your past together in ways you’re not ready to face.
That’s the starting point you dive into. This book is full of twists, turns, and moments that make the reader hold their breath, laugh, seethe with anger, and yes — cry.
I’m not going to spoil anything more, because Trekonsi clearly wants to keep the mystery alive and leave everything the book contains for the reader to discover themselves. Make sure you can read it in one go. It completely enchants you, and the reader ends up living through the same revenge and pull as the main character. Well done, Trekonsi — I’m so glad you wrote your first book, and I’ll be waiting feverishly for more!
Versage presents an intriguing story with a unique concept and an atmosphere that keeps the reader curious about what will happen next. The narrative gradually reveals its layers, allowing the world and characters to unfold as the story progresses.
One of the things I appreciated most was the creativity behind the premise. The author introduces ideas that feel fresh and thought-provoking, which adds an interesting dimension to the overall reading experience.
The characters help carry the story forward, and their choices and challenges add tension that keeps the plot moving. As the story develops, new elements emerge that deepen the sense of mystery and exploration.
For me, this lands at 4 ⭐ because the story was engaging and imaginative, though there were a few moments where additional detail could have strengthened certain parts of the narrative.
Overall, it’s an interesting and immersive read that offers a distinctive storytelling experience.
This is a 4 ⭐ for me because:
• the premise felt creative and different • the story built an intriguing atmosphere • the characters helped drive the narrative forward • the unfolding mystery kept me interested Creative. Mysterious. Thought-provoking. Read this book if you like: • imaginative storytelling • stories with unique concepts • character-driven plots • narratives that slowly reveal their world
This is the kind of book you plow through in a day without being able to stop. I distinctly remember reading this book for the first time on a trip with my family in a car ride, and I had to keep downloading new chapters on bad gas station WiFi coz I couldn’t stop reading. Since then Vercase has been like the bane of my existence no joke. I adore Arabellas charecter development so much. It really makes you think “I support women’s rights and wrongs, but idek if she can do any wrong.”
And then there’s the romance😛 I’m not gonna sit here and pretend that isn’t what we’re here for, so ima just get to it already. Like Dominic might just be one of my fav book men already but Zorian and Aurelio aren’t even bad people, Dom and Ara are just made for each other.
Okay but Sanaa… I absolutely despise her ima just admit that already. She’s a bitch and I will always and forever think so. It lwk pmo that Asvika and Vee was so hung up on her all that time.. but sure they’ve been a trio for a long time ig😒
Anywayyy all in all I love this book so much and you don’t need to pay me to read it a fourth time. This is the kind of book you’ll put aside life obligations for and I’m fully honest when I say that.
Versace is a dark, addictive mafia romance packed with danger, revenge, and explosive chemistry. From the very first page, the story throws readers into a ruthless world of power struggles, betrayal, and emotional tension that never lets up. The heroine is one of the strongest parts of the book—bold, fierce, and unapologetically independent, refusing to be reduced to a damsel despite the chaos around her.
Dominic Moretti is written as the perfect morally gray mafia king: cold, calculating, and intimidating, yet impossible to ignore. The dynamic between him and Versace is intense, toxic in all the ways dark romance readers expect, but layered with emotional conflict and undeniable attraction.
What makes this story stand out is its high-stakes atmosphere. Revenge, loyalty, grief, and forbidden desire are woven together well, making the plot feel bigger than just romance. The writing has a cinematic quality, with sharp dialogue and dramatic scenes that make it easy to imagine on screen.
If you enjoy dark mafia romance with a strong female lead, enemies-to-lovers tension, dangerous power games, and characters who are as passionate as they are destructive, this book is worth picking up. It’s intense, dramatic, and full of fire from beginning to end.
I received an arc copy of this book from the author, which I greatly appreciated. I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Arabella is a very strong willed independent woman who loses the one person she loves most in life and intern becomes very hard and dismissive to those around her. She shows growth through the book after suffering a loss so great she comes back to take her rightful place as heir of the company for which she is named. We watch as her relationships with the people in her life change and how her decision making changes just from one loss. When you watch your best friend/ sister die in front of you drastic personality changes are normal right? The book was a little hard to follow at first and there are many POV in the book. The use of nicknames also gets a bit confusing but this however did not take away from the amazing story. After a few chapters you get the flow of the book better! There is never a boring or dull moment in this book the author keeps us permanently on the edge of our seats.
I really wanted to love this one. The cover and description were so promising, but about 30% in I was still trying to figure out exactly where the story was headed. There were quite a few characters coming in and out early on, which made it a little hard to get a clear sense of the main focus.
From what I gathered, Dom is both a mafia king…and a substitute teacher?, while Versace/Arabella is a mafia princess expected to eventually take over. I really like the premise of a strong female lead, but early on she mostly comes across as a bit impulsive, often finding herself in trouble and being pushed toward an arranged-type marriage.
Things did start to pick up once the mafia elements became more central, and the story gained more momentum from there. The beginning just felt a little slow for me and could probably be tightened up a bit.
That said, the writing itself is well done and easy to read, which is what kept me reading because I was curious to see where the story would ultimately go.
Firstly I just want to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this book! I’m incredibly grateful! 🫶🏼
This was easily one of the quickest five-star ratings I’ve ever given! The pacing was fantastic, the storyline was thoughtfully constructed, and the plot twists genuinely caught me off guard in the best way. Every reveal felt intentional and added another layer to an already compelling narrative.
The characters were a definite highlight for me. Their personalities translated so vividly onto the page that it was impossible not to become invested in them. I especially loved Versace, her strength, determination, and powerful presence made her such a captivating protagonist! And of course, Dominic delivered everything I love in a morally grey, brooding character.
This book took me on an emotional ride from start to finish. One moment I was giggling and kicking my feet, and the next I was on the verge of tears. That kind of emotional range is what makes a story truly memorable!
Tre KonSi’s VERSACE: The Violence of Becoming was an intense ride from beginning to end. The story is packed with twists and moments I genuinely didn’t see coming, which kept me completely hooked. Versace—known to Dominic as Ara—is the kind of heroine who commands every scene she’s in. She’s fierce, unapologetic, and refuses to bow to anyone, making her feel like a true queen in a world built on power and violence. Watching her step back into the mafia world and claim her place was both brutal and empowering.
Her dynamic with Dominic Moretti is just as explosive as the world around them. Their relationship is messy, volatile, and layered with anger, lust, confusion, and an undeniable pull toward each other. One moment they feel like enemies ready to destroy one another, and the next there’s an understanding between them that’s impossible to ignore. It’s dark, emotional, and chaotic in the best way—exactly the kind of story that leaves you turning pages just to see what kind of fire will start next.
DNF at 25% I was really excited to start this book, but unfortunately I ended up DNFing it. One of the main issues for me was the world-building. Even after 13 chapters, I still felt confused about what was going on and how the world actually worked. I struggled to get a clear sense of the setting and the overall direction of the story. Who is who, and what is going on? Another thing that made it difficult for me was the number of names used for the FMC (around four or five different names, which became quite confusing.) It also seemed like there might be multiple love interests (2 by the time I DNF the book), which wasn’t mentioned beforehand. Personally, that trope isn’t for me as it often adds unnecessary drama. I also found the FMC to be a bit impulsive and brat, which made it harder for me to connect with her character.
That said, I’m grateful to the author for the opportunity to read and review this ARC. Unfortunately, this book just wasn’t for me.
I absolutely loved this book and the story of Versace's strength and power she has.
Versace has so much pain and heartache that follows her that starts out when she is young and when she finds out the truth it just shows everyone how strong and powerful she really is and the legacy she will lead.
she was at her worst and Dominic saved her when she was left devastated... wasnt expecting the twists that come at all but it was so worth the wait you wont see it coming but it definitely does.
dominic was a morally gray mafia man who she wasnt supposed to love, but turns into so much more then that
for a book that dont has much spice at all and I usually ho for high spice this has got to be my favorite book without all yhe spice. I would definitely pick this up again and read it.
thank you Tre konsi for this opportunity and choosing me as an arc reader...you put so much love and dedication into Versace and he story and it shows..
I'm honoured to have been chosen to join your ARC team. Thank you!
This was my first time reading Mafia Romance, and it certainly left a strong impression, and will have me returning to the genre.
The volume of POV and nickname changes did make it feel a little less fluid on occasion, however it delivers heavy on plot twists, it's packed full of power play, thrill, danger, heavy emotions, and intense, strong turbulent dynamics that kept me turning the pages wanting to see where it would lead. A strong dominant MMC and an independant fierce MFC enemies to lovers certainly ticks the boxes for me. Thoroughly enjoyable.
The cover artwork is stunning in all formats.
I look forward to reading more from TreKonSi.

Versace’s and Dominic’s story begins with a game of truth or dare in a bar, and it is immediately a love/hate relationship full of drama, power dynamics, mafia turf wars, and so much more. Versace reluctantly assumes the reins as head of her family empire, and vows to take down every enemy of her family. This book is a non-stop thrill ride that never slows down, and Versace is a strong, independent boss babe, who refuses to bow to anyone. If you love Mafia-themed stories with strong FMCs, you’ll love Versace!
I’ve followed this story since its Wattpad days, and reading the ARC was an unforgettable experience. The author has created such a gripping, emotional, and addictive story. The character development is incredible, especially Versace—she’s complex, strong, and deeply human. The tension, romance, and emotional moments were written so beautifully that I couldn’t stop reading. This book stayed in my mind long after I finished it. Watching it grow from Wattpad to a full novel has been amazing. This is easily one of my favourite reads. 5 stars without hesitation.
This book started off building background and introducing and developing characters. This author takes the time to write a story that weaves in and out and makes you feel all the emotions.
There are choices the FMC has to make and live with. There are a couple of strong MC but I loved the MMC for his strength and his ability to play the long game and also show his vulnerability. It takes a while to get to the part where you’re on the edge of your seat but once there you stay on the edge. TreKonSi is a new author for me but I will watch for more books by her.
This book offers a unique and engaging story that keeps you curious from beginning to end. The plot unfolds gradually, revealing more depth as you go, which makes the world and characters feel well-developed.
I especially liked the originality of the concept—it brings fresh and thought-provoking ideas to the story. The characters and their decisions create tension and keep things moving, while new twists add to the sense of mystery.
Overall, it’s an immersive and imaginative read. I’d rate it around 4 stars, as a bit more detail in some parts could have made it even stronger.
I absolutely devoured this book. Like… life responsibilities? Ignored. Sleep? Optional. Versace is that girl—strong, messy, powerful, and carrying more than she should have to, but still refuses to break. Watching her grow into who she’s meant to be was everything. And Dominic?? Morally gray, complicated, slightly toxic but in a “I fear this man but also love him” kind of way. The tension?? Immaculate. The twists kept me hooked, the emotions hit, and even without a ton of spice, it didn’t feel like anything was missing. Honestly… I’d read this again just to feel something.
Where to even begin with this one-of-a-kind story is a challenge. This novel is about a young girl who is forced to grow up into a fearless and brave woman who will face any trials and slay it at it's very core. Versace was full of twists and turns. Dominic and Versace’s story starts with a dare in a club and ends in the best way possible, with plenty of suffering and growth in between. Versace is an absolute force, and Dominic is the alpha‑male mafia man who bows to no one but her. Their dynamic was intense, addictive, and so much fun to read. I’m really glad I got to read this as an arc. This is my honest, unbiased opinion.
