I'm just going to keep reading this book every year for Lent until I have made progress on all of these things to give up. I will probably read this book at least 50 more times.
Most Meaningful Lenten Devotional I have ever used.
I have read this each Lenten season since Pastor Phil wrote it. It is well written and strikes the heart of the things we need to “give up” to live our lives with in a full relationship with Jesus.
This little book is one to digest in small bites, as we consider the life and death of Jesus. It’s written in a conversational manner that invites reflection and genuine thoughts about one’s daily behaviors, strengths, and small failures. I hope to return to it each Lenten season.
I needed this and it was provided Thank you Lord for opening my heart to receive your messages to me through this study most important was not to view God as my personal vending machine and to experience true joy fulness from God to overcome my fear of finding out I have Paget's Disease and that's okay because I am in Gods hands.
I really enjoyed this devotional. It was short enough each day that I didn't find it overwhelming, and actually looked forward to reading each night. Very inspirational stuff here!
What I appreciated about this devotional was its attempt to identify socially conditioned habits that we need to release from our lives. Gave me lots to think about and pray about during Lent.
