Thank you Netgalley for another wonderful read. What started as a story about telemetry data, ice, and geopolitics morphed into an emotional journey of unraveling who is behind siphoning crude and altering telemetry logs and working on preventing erasure of the truth and people who tried to prevent the truth from being erased. Throughout the story, there is a palpable unease that settles into the reader as they follow along Ava and Cole on a journey that leaves them watching over their shoulders for every shadow.
Every creak sinks their stomach a little further. A story of power and control becomes a battlefield in which they must fight for the truth and the land they love dearly. The reader feels the tension between all of the characters as the story unfurls, rapidly and slowly at the same time. It is a wonderful story and a great read.

THE WATER REMEMBERS, Prequel - Okay, I'm hooked. Just enough information on these eleven pages to know I'm in for a good series. Source: The Author. 4*
SWIMMING WITH MANATEES, #1, Audiobook and eBook
- I like the writing style of this author. The story lines are immersing, the characters interesting, and the investigations intriguing. Narration is by Virtual Voice, not a favorite of mine since it lacks emotions and proper pronunciations. Source: LibraryThing, My Kindle, Audible, and BookFunnel libraries. 4*
BOREALIS, #2 - I didn't like this story as much as Manatees. While the story lines are interesting, there is too much repetition and overuse of a few phrases. It is not like there are new characters being introduced, but spoken by the same characters. Good characters, especially Cole. Source: The Author. 3*

Intense. Vague in the sense I constantly felt like I needed to go back and reread because I must have missed some detail. Eerie in that conspiracy theorists would believe this is already happening...and...it may be. Borealis by Bill Bennett is suspenseful and a great read for those who love this genre.

Borealis is a gripping, atmospheric eco‑thriller that lingers after the last page. It’s a smart, emotionally resonant ride through a landscape where technology and nature collide, and it cements Ava Martinez as a memorable lead in contemporary thriller fiction.
