Book 2 in the Adduci Crime Family series: Gio and Bronwyn. This is an opposites attract, he falls first and hard, some “light” stalking, age gap, independent and fiesty gamer FMC, possessive morally grey MMC, witty banter, touch her an d!e, found family, mafia romance.
This was such a great read. I absolutely love how D. Vessa writes her characters, the inner monologues and banter are always so well done. Gio was definitely unhinged and devoted to protecting Bronwyn and her fire perfectly complimented his.
It was so fun getting glimpses and cameos from the Dirty Devil MCs characters, another amazing series I recommend!
All in all this is definitely a fun and faster paced read and I really enjoyed it.

I have yet to read a D Vessa book that I haven’t enjoyed. Gio is such a character. He’s the tough mafia guy who likes to drink his bourbon with a little umbrella in the glass. I love the banter between him and his brothers. He falls hard for Bronwyn when she catches him doing mob business, but she doesn’t flinch at all at the blood on his hands.
At first, Bronwyn tries her best not to fall for Gio. Yeah, she thinks he’s hot, but she’s not used to someone taking care of her the way he does. He doesn’t ask; he just does it. I just love that there is no part of her that sees him as a monster. She loves him, his darkness and all.

ALL THE STARS!!!
The Adduci Crime Family series is my absolute favorite by D, and I was so hyped to read about our little psychopath Gio!
I absolutely loved their meet cute. She went into the pizza shop below her apartment to grab a slice on the way home and he walked out of the back holding a SEVERED HAND!!! I absolutely loved her awkwardness when she was met with this situation. She basically said “So, no slices left tonight?” which made me howl but I also think it confused him to where he let her leave. Throwing off the big bad mafia man with her awkwardness was amazing and totally relatable!!
I loved how self-sufficient Bronwyn was and how she embodied a gentle strength. She had been through her own battles, and was still battling them throughout this story, but she was a genuinely good person. She also didn’t turn tail and run away when things got tough or sketchy; she was definitely a real one.
Of course, I loved Gio as well. For being completely insane, he was also a total jokester. Asking for an umbrella in his whiskey. GTFO lol. I loved how he got knocked out by finding his woman, even if she didn’t know she was his woman yet 😉 My favorite thing about their whole romance was that he just claimed her and she didn’t know what was happening but he was not letting her off easy. Like, she was just his now lol. He was also my savage gentleman with her, IYKYK 😉
I absolutely loved what they did for each other and how they truly freed one another. I loved that she had never had someone look out for her, but as soon as he came into her life she had her very own guard dog because he was obsessed with her from the start. Love seeing a psycho be sweet for his girl 😊 I loved that she likewise put him at ease (not just killing but freedom from the outside world). They really were perfect for one another.
I loved that this book let us explore the more brotherly side of Matteo. He was definitely in charge, and Gio definitely got on his nerves, but they fought like siblings do and it was glorious to watch.
Lastly, I loved her online friend being a familiar character from the Dirty Devils MC series, Wiz. I loved that the crossover between these two series continued to happen and that he was there for her multiple times in the story. Also, that live playing scene where Gio got jealous and essentially made Wiz listen to Gio claim Bronwyn? AMAZING!!!
There is still so much more to come in this series. I am waiting patiently for my man Aldo 😊

Definitely worth every single minute of this book and Gio is deliciously filthy
MY THOUGHTS 💭
Brownyn is the calmest chick I think Ive read of, the way she handles everything that Gio does and the things that she sees is so comical like you start just laughing hysterically because she doesn't react like normal people.
Gio is in my opinion a golden retriever bad boy and he doesn't like to be told no but he also can't help himself make mistakes and then be a smarty pants about it and the most funniest way possible.
You definitely get to see heavy banter like I mean the two of them go at it like a married old couple bickering and they can dish it out just as much as they can take it and it's like leaves you speechless.
I absolutely love Gio and Matteo's relationship and like how they are together and there were several times that I was like okay Mateo's just going to like lose it with Gio.
You can tell the Gio definitely has a soft spot for his family and I think that's what makes him have such a soft spot for her is because it's only his family and her that he sof for like everyone else he is like guns blazing.
Spice picks up with a lot of yearning and forbiddenness and it's where the stalking comes into play and there are some scenes that just kind of made me drop my jaw at the beginning of the book but when they definitely finally given to each other it's so delicious.
Now I will say that I feel like this book is a lot more emotionally triggering than the first book was and I say that because of certain bad guy if you will call him that and I just got more in my like defensive feelings because of that certain character.
Overall I could not stop laughing and you just have the funniest MMC in this book and the calmest FMC I've ever seen and I think it really plays a heavy part in their dynamic and like their relationship.

While Dangerous Games can technically be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend reading Book 1, Cavaliere, beforehand. Doing so will greatly enhance your enjoyment of the story by providing important context and a deeper understanding of the relationships and dynamics between the characters.
Before receiving Dangerous Games as an ARC, I hadn’t yet ventured into the Adduci series, though I had read the companion Dirty Devils MC series, which takes place in the same world. Because of that, I decided to read Cavaliere before diving into Book 2, and I’m so glad I did. Having that background made Dangerous Games an even more enjoyable and rewarding reading experience.
This installment focuses on the lovable Gio. Some might call him unhinged, but beneath the chaos is a fiercely loyal man who simply needs someone capable of seeing the real him. Bronwyn does exactly that, and she turns out to be precisely what Gio needs. Their connection feels natural, their chemistry is undeniable, and together they make a wonderful match.
The story follows Bronwyn as she finds herself being targeted by an unknown individual, with the suspicious activity potentially tied to her father’s lifestyle. While the mystery serves as the backdrop for the story, the real heart of the book is the relationship between Gio and Bronwyn. I found myself far more invested in their dynamic and watching their connection develop than in uncovering who was behind the threats.
Overall, Dangerous Games was an enjoyable read with memorable characters, strong chemistry, and a couple I couldn’t help but root for. Gio was easily one of the highlights for me, and I loved getting to see him take center stage in this story.

Dangerous Games is book 2 of The Adduci Crime Family. So please let's welcome Giovanni Adduci to the chat. Gio is meticulously styled, devastatingly sexy, and completely unhinged. But when Bronwyn walks into his family's pizzeria one night, he is done for the second he locks his eyes with her baby blues. Bronwyn is smart, sassy, and handles her business on her own; she's also drop-dead gorgeous. Little did she know, just wanting a slice of pizza was going to flip her world upside down. I literally couldn't put this book down. I devoured it like my favorite slice of pizza. The story is fast-paced and nonstop, and oh so good. When Bronwyn walks in on something she shouldn't have, it all pops off from there. Gio storms into her life, and there's no going back now, but little did he know he was going to fall fast and hard for this ball of sass and stubbornness that is Bronwyn. Gio knows what he wants, and Gio always gets what he wants. The back and forth between these two was fantastic. I was giggling like a little school girl, and the spice was sizzling between these two - oh my god, so hot! The video game scene will have you drooling; you have been warned. When events put Bronwyn in danger, you best believe Gio will stop at nothing to protect his girl, with a whole lot of touch her and bye! This story is filled with all the mafia drama and possessive men we love, and all the steaminess we crave. I can't recommend Gio and Bronwyn enough. Go grab your copies and find out for yourself just how good these two are together.

If you like mafia romances with some spice and suspense, this is a must read!!!! Grab your pizza and drink with an umbrella and settle in. It's a fast paced story that's a quick read. . .and opens right up with a mafia event.
The plot was great! LOL at some point, it dawned on me that things were going too well for the main characters . . . and sure enough, the plot thickened and things were shaken! I loved the personalities of, well of all the characters, but especially Gio and Bronwyn. . .aka Cara. The best way I know to describe this book is to say it's the perfect mix of the movie Pretty Woman and the TV series The Sopranos.

Gio was one of my most anticipated characters in the Adduci Crime Family series, and I went into Dangerous Games carrying months of excitement, theories, and probably a wildly unhinged version of this man that I had created in my own head.
What I got was something different than I expected—but not in a bad way.
Instead of constant chaos and destruction, D. Vessa gave us a story that allowed Gio and Bronwyn’s relationship to breathe. The banter is bantering, the chemistry is chemistrying, and the character development was everything I hoped for.
Gio is possessive, protective, completely obsessed, and every bit the “she’s mine” man I wanted him to be. And Bronwyn? She’s the perfect match for him. She refuses to back down and calls him on his nonsense, but somehow still becomes his safe place, his home, and the one person capable of calming the storm inside him.
And then that final stretch…

With all the sweet only for her and touch her and 💀 vibes. Gio and Bronwyn absolutely tick all these boxes. Who doesn’t love a MMC who does a food shop for the FMC without her knowing and makes her pizza from scratch:
I totally consumed Dangerous Games - I picked it up and just read and read and read. It’s fast paced, it’s an easy read and I was invested. With the plot of the relationship between Gio and Bronwyn, as well as family tensions, organised crime drama and Bronwyn’s family history I was desperate to know how it all played out.
I loved all of Gio’s possessive and obsessive vibes and totally rooted for Bronwyn to get the ending that she deserved. At times I was so sad and raging for her and was desperate for karma to strike for her.
Got to love the overlap with the Dirty Devils MC club too - as I have loved that series as well.

All the girl wanted was a slice of pizza! 😂🍕 This meet-cute was absolutely priceless, and I devoured this book in no time. Seriously could not put it down. It was fast paced, packed with family drama, a ton of organized crime drama and spice that I was totally addicted!
Something that stood out to me was Gio's instant "mine" energy. The man saw Bronwyn and never looked back, and honestly, there's just something so hot about a man who falls hard and knows exactly what he wants. I loved all of his possessive, protective, obsessed-with-his-girl vibes.
And our girl Bronwyn finally getting someone to be in her corner, willing to take care of her simply made my heart happy, and I loved how she brought Gio a sense of peace too. They were such a perfect match.
And ummmmm can we take a minute to appreciate that live gaming scene with Wiz? I mean not only was it a treat getting some WIZ face time, Dirty Devils MC forever, but Gio getting jealous and basically claiming Bronwyn for everyone to hear? AMAZING. 🔥🫠🥵

Oh my Gio ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 I absolutely LOVE This man y'all seriously and Tony Brettman ( The Cover Model ) is the absolute perfect person to be Gio simply put PERFECTION IN COVER MODEL TO CHARACTER CHOICE... Gio is your typical bad@ss mafia Enforcer takes no crap from anyone and is a FRICKEN sexy beast while doing what needs to be done and then imagine those boy cartoon characters when a pretty girl character walks by and their jaws literally fall to the floor thats how I imagined the scene played out when Brownyn walked into the pizzeria and Gio seen her for the 1st time hehehe... I absolutely LOVED how their whole relationship played out stalkery and maybe alittle forced yes but totally adorable and sooooo worth it in the end

She's a gamer girl, fiercely independent, and somehow manages to witness Gio holding a severed arm and later carrying a dead body... and still sticks around. 😭💀 My kind of FMC.

I came for the mafia world, the danger, the family dynamics, and the action but I definitely stayed for Gio and Bronwyn.
Gio is the kind of character you can’t help but respect. He’s loyal, protective, confident, and absolutely relentless when it comes to the people he loves. He isn’t perfect, and that’s exactly what makes him feel real. Every decision he makes carries weight, and every scene he’s in commands attention.
Bronwyn is equally impressive. She’s strong without being, intelligent, and more than capable of holding her own against a man like Gio. Their chemistry feels natural, their banter is sharp, and their relationship develops in a way that kept me invested from beginning to end.
What stood out most was that the romance never overshadowed the story. The tension, family dynamics, danger, and emotional moments all worked together to create a book that felt bigger than just a love story.
The action kept me turning pages, the humor caught me off guard more than once, and the emotional moments landed harder than I expected.

I loved this book, and the dynamics between Gio and his family, as well as Gio and Bronwyn, made the story even better. Bronwyn does not like having to depend on other people because she was raised without support. When Gio inserts himself into her life after she stumbles upon him in some precarious situations, she has to battle her own demons and learn how to trust someone else.
Gio proves over and over again that he would burn the world down for her until she finally believes it. He initially has to fight his own family to have a relationship with Bronwyn, but ultimately, everyone comes together for the same cause.

Bronwyn is everything you want in a fierce FMC. She has always taken care of herself. When she is with Gio she is able to rest and let go. She’s deserves this kind of love. He stopped at nothing to protect her and it was so good to see someone make her a priority.
This is kind and of an insta-love with a well developed plot and D’s ability to develop the characters is amazing.
I love the crossover with The Dirty Devils MC. I have read everything by this author and will continue to read everything she publishes. She is great…

“My problem is that you said you would pick me up,… but when someone says they’re going to do something they should do it or at least let the other person know it isn’t happening….” Gosh Bronwyn, hit me in the feels would you? Damn D. why you gotta have me going “oh shit, that’s my mentality” in the middle of a book? But at the same time, bravo. That was perfectly said.
Y’all I have been fighting for my life to catch up on ARC’s. So when I picked up this ARC and literally flew through the first 80% of the book, I knew I would be ok! I was absolutely obsessed with how easy this read was. D. Vessa is just that author for me. Anytime I pick up one of her books, I end up flying through a massive chunk of the book and then piddle around with the last half because I don’t want to be finished with the book just yet. It’s like a sad moment to realize the first time reading this book is about to be over and I just don’t want that. D. Vessa can have my attention always!!

4/5...This was such an enjoyable read. Gio completely stole the show for me—he’s intense, possessive, protective, and has that perfect blend of danger and charm that makes a morally gray hero impossible to resist. Beneath all the tough exterior, there’s a surprisingly vulnerable side to him that added a lot of depth to his character. Bronwyn was easy to root for, and I appreciated her strength and determination to build a life on her own terms. The chemistry between these two was immediate and undeniable, creating plenty of tension, heat, and emotional moments throughout the story. I especially loved the family dynamics and seeing more of the close-knit relationships surrounding the main couple. The balance of romance, suspense, and humor kept the pages turning, and the emotional connection felt genuine.I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book focuses on the lovable and slightly unhinged but loyal Gio. Bronwyn allows him to be who he is without reserve or judgement. Their connection develops naturally (although initially rocky when she first meets him holding a severed arm), and an undeniable chemistry their story is unmatched by any other. And their spicy scenes had me fanning myself
Bronwyns father is a lowlife POS who ends up putting her in harms way resulting in the “unhinged” Gio serving as her protector and unaliving a couple people who dare try to take her from him. And while the main plot of the story line is Bronwyn being at the center of this mysterious plot to kidnap her thanks to her fathers less than “fatherly” activities, their relationship truly carries the story and what I found myself focused on the most.

Gio becomes downright obsessed with Bronwyn as soon as he sees her standing in his pizza shop looking for a late night slice of pizza. What she walks into starts a series of interactions that are unhinged, obsessive and in Gio fashion loveably psychotic. He is just a big squishy bear when it comes to her and his family but to the world and especially those who want to hurt his family he is the unhinged killer we fell in love with in Mateo and Wren book.
Bronwyn has been knocked down in life and has huge walls around her heart. It takes Gio's special brand of humor and ways of showing he cares for her to break her down. She is betrayed and sold out by her father and then we really get to see Gio's true monster come out, because he will burn the city to ash for his girl.

Dangerous Games was WOW! A fast-paced, intoxicating mafia romance that completely pulled me in. Honestly, I just need more of the Audacci brothers because I’m not ready to leave this family behind!
The Audacci family embodies the ultimate ride-or-die mentality, and I loved every second of it. Their loyalty to each other is unmatched.

First I want to say thank you to the amazing D. Vessa this book had me in all my feels. How this book started off how Bronwyn and Gio meet is not the standard way always but it was one that I was truly here for. She literally is grabbing pizza which is my all time favorite because who is gonna just walk in ask for pizza and be frozen as she see this man literally unaliving someone lol ! That is what drew me into the book!
Bronwyn embodied a strong woman and a sense of self awareness after things she has been through and the be able to get through it but still stand her ground and be a woman who didn’t mind speaking her mind said a lot . She was a baddie who loved and knew video games and it made her who she is.
Gio was what we love in a mafia over protective man he was someone who made others laugh but he always made sure that what is his is always protected. He claimed her and made sure that whether she liked it or not she was his and that’s everything .

Just when you think you know the Adduci family you get wrapped up in Dangerous Games. And that is exactly what this book is. You get wrapped up in the world of Gio and Bronwyn. Two people who just happened to stumble into each other's lives because one wanted a slice of pizza and in return, she got a severed hand and an obsessive man.
Gio our unstable Italian man who absolutely needs to make killing interesting. Especially when he needs to send a piece of the killing to someone. Everything about Gio is a dangerous game and still it doesn't scare Bronwyn away. If anything, it brings her closer to him. This book makes our FMC an independent and absolutely remarkable individual. Someone who longs to have someone close, while at the same time keeping to herself in the online world.
I loved this story and the chemistry the characters had with one another was something you can only dream about. I cannot wait to see what the Adduci family will bring us next.

Dangerous Games by D. Vesa had me completely hooked in the most chaotic, addictive way. This book pulled me in with its intensity and had me constantly torn between wanting to scream at the characters and needing to know what would happen next. I loved the tension, the mind games, and the feeling that every interaction carried so much weight. The emotions felt messy and raw, which made the story even more impossible to put down because I was fully invested in every twist and turn. There’s something so satisfying about a book that keeps you on edge while still making you care so deeply about the characters and their choices. It was dark, dramatic, and completely consuming—the kind of read where you lose track of time because you’re too caught up in the story. If you love intense romances with high stakes, complicated feelings, and characters who keep you guessing, Dangerous Games is definitely one that will pull you in.

Gio is an obsessed psycho but the kind that you want on your side. The bickering between them was great - Bronwyn didn’t give in easily on things and I admired her for that.
Such a great read. This book can be read as a standalone but I’d advise reading in order as things make more sense.

The Adduci men are ruthless and Gio is certifiable. This crazy mafia man who will mail body parts in a box but demands a little umbrella in all of his drinks. He was the fun kind of crazy in Mateo’s book so I expected nothing less when it was his turn. Like who is crazy enough to want to be with this man, enter Bronwyn. A quiet gamer just casual living above the mafia front business just trying to get a slice of pizza when life hands her Gio (IYKYK). Much like all of D. Vessa’s book expect a spicy, fast paced book with a possessive morally gray man who’s ready to fall on his knees for his lady. I love a dark romance and I definitely enjoy this series. There’s just something about the mafia men. I can’t wait for more from the Aducci’s and the Dirty Devils.
