I just have one question: K.C. Carmine do you have cameras that explore my brain and tell you my every fantasy I wanna read about in a book? Cause it sure seemed like it!
Did Not Finish
March 13, 2026That... was a lot of talk about past rape and child sexual assault, not to mention the scary alphas, with their hotel room full of sharp implements, that Sol is nearly caught by in the present.
The trigger warnings include "mentions of past physical and mental abuse," but I wasn't expecting the long list of things that had been done to him since long before he turned 14. I did not expect his parents to be the ones selling him off to marry his abuser, either, or them having sold his services to other alphas for years.
Darker themes are not unusual in omegaverse stories, but this is much too much for me.

Significantly better than book one, in my opinion. I loved this. The only reason I docked half a star is because I felt the ending was a bit rushed. Like I wanted more punishment for his family? I don't know how to explain it. But the romance itself was adorable and it was cool seeing the characters from book one again for a cameo.

Cute and quick read
I love when an author changes things up from time to time. Sol and Rhys were the perfect pair to demonstrate this twist.
The way these two interacted and how Rhys let Sol become the omega he was always meant to be was lovely. I just wish their story had been longer.

✨️🐴 But first... what a beautiful ending. It brought so much light into such a dark, twisted story.

🤌 This may be short, but WOW… it’s intense from the very first moment. Power, control, survival… this world is brutal and doesn’t soften the edges.
For a short read, the plot felt complete and well-developed. Nothing felt missing, even though everything happens fast, it was handled really well. 👏
💞 Sol and Rhys? Pure chaos… messy, unhinged! Somehow perfect!!
What one needs, the other aches to give… and the way they just fall into sync? Yeah… I was gone.
🔥 VERY kink-heavy, very fast, very consuming 😏…
💥 Full of intense, steamy scenes with high heat!
But beneath all that spice and dominance? There’s something deeper… an unexpected balance.
A push and pull that somehow fits them perfectly.
💔 Sol’s past especially adds a layer of emotional weight that you feel the entire time.
It’s dark. It’s heavy. It hurts… 😭 I was genuinely moved by their struggles.
But watching them find each other in the middle of all that chaos? 🫠 That was everything.

Okay first...read the warnings, as there are some very dark themes and trauma in this, so take that into account (I've seen reviews from people who didn't, it's worth doing so!). Still up for it? Excellent. The Bound Alpha flips the usual omegaverse dynamic on its head a bit, with a big strong alpha with a serious kink for degradation, not to mention a love of bottoming. Enter Sol, a feisty omega with a horrific past wrapped in the trappings of family and luxury, who's willing to risk anything to avoid the future his parents have in mind for him, and if that means taking the lead in the bedroom? He's so up for the challenge. It's spice-tastic and very kinky right from the off, but the characters really shine through and take up root in your heart even in the space of a short book.

This was such an engaging and surprisingly heartfelt read for a shorter storyline. I was immediately drawn in to the dynamic between Sol and Rhys. Sol’s desperation to escape his future and the risks he’s willing to take gave the story a real sense of urgency, while Rhys brought an unexpected vulnerability that balanced things beautifully.
What I enjoyed most was how quickly their connection evolved once they were thrown together. There’s a definite intensity to their interactions, especially during the hunt, but it never felt one-dimensional. Instead, it added depth to both characters and made their journey feel more meaningful.
The stakes felt genuinely high throughout, particularly with the looming threat of Sol’s past and the expectations placed on him. Watching things unfold in the woods and beyond kept me hooked, and I appreciated how the story blended darker themes with moments of hope and new beginnings.

Sweet and very steamy
An omega running away and an alpha who wants to submit. Throw in a night when the Hunt lets alphas chase omegas and all bets are off. If you're an unlucky omega, think 'The Purge'. If you're Sol, think you're the luckiest omega on the planet.
Sol and Rhys' book is a lot of sex with some story attached, and I loved it. K.C. is always good at the kink she fills her books with, and this is no exception. Sol learns that he can be the one calling the shots and, oh boy, did he get into that role so quickly. Rhys wants to be dominated, Sol wants to earn money to flee from his life as a sex slave, but in each other they find so much more than either of them could ever have hoped for.
I loved the added bonus of cameos from Eldin and Ole (The Bound Omega), now neighbours of Rhys and Sol, and seeing how happy they were, and what a difference the four of them were making in a world that was habitually awful for omegas.

I liked it, but there was nothing except sex. sex was fun and I could clearly see both characters enjoyed it. but good lord it was sex after sex after sex.
I thought there is going to be some sort of plot but no. only quick "conflict" with Sol's parents in last chapter and in epilogue recap of their life together for 2 years.
in the end I didn't feel like they were equal in relationship. they didn't sacrifice equally. alpha sacrificed his career, reputation and income to be with omega. omega sacrificed nothing, he only gained things and control and opportunities.
maybe I expected too much? it's clearly simply porn. great porn, but that's all it is.

what a wonderful read. the wonderful way Sol just took charge fast after he found out he enjoys what he does to Rhys. the way he looked at Dryden and demanded Rhys "go to town on him" and give him a baby is priceless he not only got out of that abomination of a deal but gained a whole new life and family. i defiantly would reread both/all books when they come out/already out again. keep up the wonderful work and cant wait for more.
