They say love makes you reckless. They never warn you what it can cost.
Six years. That’s all Reagan can remember. Everything before that has vanished.
Reagan lives a normal life in Oridas, but restlessness claws at her, an aching sense that she was meant for more. When a Fae male named Malakin claims she possesses syphon powers, a gift she’s never heard of, Reagan feels the first spark of truth she’s had in years.
He offers to help her uncover her power if she helps break the curse binding him but trusting Malakin may be the riskiest part of the bargain.
As Reagan is drawn deeper into a world of Fae politics, deadly creatures, and ancient rivalries, each choice carries consequences she can’t yet see.
As attraction sparks and trust deepens, Reagan learns that love can be as dangerous as power and choosing the wrong person may cost her more than she’s prepared to lose.
I read Forgotten Reign as an ARC and honestly… this was a 5-star read for me. From the start I was pulled into Reagan’s story. I related to her so much, and the way she constantly thinks about Elias and what he taught her added so much emotional depth to the story. The forest setting, the guard training, the faces and Reagan curiosity had me completely hooked. The characters were such a highlight. I absolutely loved Ivy and Ismercha they were so wholesome and I adored every scene with them. Thyra and Hendricks were also favourites of mine, and their dynamic with Reagan was so fun to read. And the banter between Reagan and Malakin? So good… even when I was side-eyeing him the entire time. Speaking of Malakin I was suspicious of him from the moment he put Reagan in the well, and that feeling never went away. Some of his choices (like burning the shack!) had me fully yelling at the book. I just couldn’t decide if he could be trusted. The emotional moments in this book really hit me. Ivy’s death absolutely broke me, and I genuinely had to pause for a moment. And the reveal that Reagan is the Crownbearer of House Tenebrarius? I was OBSESSED. Even my feelings about her uncle changed by the end — I started out frustrated with him, but by the end I understood his decisions more. Overall, I genuinely couldn’t put this book down and flew through the final chapters because I needed to know what was going to happen. The ending left me desperate for more. Please tell me this is a series because I am not ready to leave this world yet!!!

I enjoyed the background of Reagan’s life and felt for her when all her thoughts came back to Ellias and how she felt he abandoned her one day, he had done so much for her and he was the reason she was a strong character
Malakin and Reagan’s banter was unmatched but I wasn’t keen on Malakin from when we met him. I mean, strange guy trapped in a forest? Mmm no thanks
Ivy and Ismercha were such lovely characters and a good part of Reagan’s story on how they befriended her when she was told she couldn’t have friends or socialise by her uncle. The ending of both Ivy and Ismercha absolutely broke my heart, they deserved so much more but it was so beautifully written at the same time
I loved the introduction of Thyra and Hendricks, I am 100% Team Hendricks even if he is grumpy and strict, he does have a kind soul Thyra befriended Reagan straight away and was so kind towards her
Reagan’s uncle made me skeptical about him from the get go but ultimately when his reasons for how he behaved and treated Reagan was explained it all made sense and it did come from a good place but definitely didn’t seem like it at the time
The pure shock of Reagan emerging as the Crownbearer of House Tenebrarius - this was not on my mind at all!!! Hendricks reaction to her has my heart
I highly recommend this book and I do hope it becomes a series✨

I’d like to start by thanking the Hannah Snutch for providing me with an ARC of Forgotten Reign in exchange for an honest review.
This story immediately caught my attention — the plot is intriguing right from the very beginning and pulled me into the world with ease. I was curious from page one and definitely wanted to see where everything would go.
That said, I did struggle a little at first. The FMC came across as somewhat naive at times, which made it harder for me to fully connect with her early on. Additionally, the first love interest just wasn’t my cup of tea, so it took me a bit longer to really get invested in the story.
However, once I reached the midpoint, everything changed. I ended up reading the rest in one sitting. I was completely hooked and absolutely loved it.
And then there’s Hendricks… he completely won me over from the moment he appeared. The dynamic between him and the Reagan gave me strong Feyre & Rhys vibes, which I adored. Their chemistry and interactions were definitely a highlight for me.
I also have to mention Ivy and Ismercha — they were such wonderful side characters and truly deserved better. They added so much heart to the story, and I found myself deeply invested in them as well.
And that ending… I desperately need book two after that cliffhanger!
Overall, this was a very enjoyable read that really grew on me. While it had a slightly slower start for me personally, the second half more than made up for it.
I went into this book hoping it would pull me out of a long reading slump—and it absolutely delivered. From the very first chapters, I was completely immersed and ended up flying through it.
The author’s writing style is vivid and engaging, making it effortless to picture the setting and feel connected to the story. Reagan quickly became a standout character for me; her journey felt emotional and genuine, and I found myself invested in her almost immediately. The supporting cast was just as compelling, each adding depth and personality to the story.
One of my favorite parts was how the plot kept me guessing. I loved trying to piece together what might happen next—sometimes I was right, which was satisfying, but there were also plenty of unexpected twists that genuinely surprised me.
The worldbuilding and magic system were thoughtfully done—detailed enough to feel rich, but still easy to follow without becoming overwhelming. Everything felt well-balanced and purposeful.
Overall, this was an incredibly enjoyable read, and I’m already looking forward to seeing where the story goes next.
I was very lucky to be an ARC reader for this book and I am so happy I was!
Reagan was an incredibly relatable main character, with her curiosity and vulnerability being almost touching. There were a few detailed characters, such as her uncle, who added a lot more to the plot than expected; I have a feeling Hendricks will be the same.
Malakin was such an interesting character because I felt so unsettled by him almost straight away but I couldn’t put my finger on why. The foreshadowing surrounding him is insane! No matter what I guessed was off about him, it all turned out to be wrong in the end.
Ivy’s death broke me at the end, I felt so bad for Reagan and I was looking forward to seeing more of her (hopefully down the line). Again, same applies for Hendricks - I can’t wait to uncover more of him and find out his full story.
The writing is descriptive, allowing a clear world to be built and for you to fall in love with the characters. I HOPE this becomes a series because I would love to know what the future has in store for Reagan! <3

really loved this book and already need a sequel! The world-building and setting were immersive, and the writing style was easy to read while still keeping me completely hooked— I didn't want to put it down. I had a feeling early on about malakin being another Tamlin situation and the raven reveal, which made it really satisfying when it happened. Ivy's storyline was heartbreaking—l sensed what was coming but still hoped I'd be wrong. It gave me the same feeling as losing a beloved side character like Liam: tragic, but meaningful. Reagan did frustrate me at times, especially how curious yet not very suspicious she was in the beginning, particularly with Malakin. She came across as a bit too trusting-but it also made sense, as her isolation clearly made her more vulnerable. The twist with her uncle being a guard genuinely surprised me, and I need book two to give us Hendricks and Reagan as endgame. Also see Reagan take revenge on the raven and embody her royal role and newly reinstated fae body. Overall, a brilliant read that I'd highly recommend! I can't wait for book 2!

I am extremely honoured to be given the opportunity to read the ARC of Forgotten Reign. This book captivated me from the start! The whole storyline was enchanting, paced well and kept me hooked throughout - I could hardly put it down!!
There was a strong sense of friendship and found family as well as fighting fears and overcoming the past. For me the FMC’s urge to find her purpose and seeking more from her life shone through and spoke to me on a deeper level.
The writing was beautifully descriptive and made me feel like I was part of the Fae world. The world building itself was extremely clever and information was injected throughout the book to add context when needed - this really helped the storyline to flow and not feel too heavy.
I truly love everything about this book - the search for purpose, the story of betrayal, friendship and overcoming fears! I cannot recommend this book enough!
Firstly thank you so much to Hannah for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review!!
I really enjoyed this book and the storyline, it’s world building and magic system is so easy to understand and makes the book extremely bingeable, I love that we have shorter chapters and we go straight into the story!!
This book had me feeling a lot of different emotions, I did struggle with our fmc, Reagan, at times purely because she is very naive and trusting, I understand she hasn’t had much contact with others so it does make sense but I was shouting at my kindle at times because the way she doesn’t question anything… worrying😅
I felt the plot/story was quite predictable and I kind of guessed everything minus one or two small details however I do think the ending was delivered well and I think we have a lot of promise for book two, I hope we see a big development in Reagan because I want to root for her but I need the naivety to leave the chat.
I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader. (No this isn't a biased review) And I absolutely adored it. After having been in a reading slump for most of 2026, I picked up this book and read it in one sitting!
The writing of this book was incredible, I was able to picture the world perfectly based on the writing, and the way it made me immediately adore Reagan and feel for her. She was in my heart before I even realised it.
But the side characters as well!
The book made me keep creating theories about what would happen in it, and some were correct(in the best way possible) and some left me gasping in surprise!
The world and magic system were amazing as well and not hard to grasp at all.
I can't wait to see what will happen in book 2 and how their story will continue on!
I read this as an ARC and I really loved this book!! From the start the world & character building was captivating, the syphon & house magic was also a really cool concept✨
Reagan is our FMC, and I really felt sorry for her! Sometimes I wish I could’ve spoke to her to make her realise what was really happening, as Malakin was giving me bad vibes from very early on! But she followed her heart and we can’t knock her for her loyalty! 🫶🏻
Ivy and Ismercha bless them, what lovely characters- but a not so happy ending for them🥺 As soon as Hendricks arrived I was like woohoo here we go, here’s our MMC😍 cannot wait to see their relationship develop!
Also what an ending!! Our girl Reagan’s a Queen…👑😆 I eagerly await book 2, this is just the beginning of a really amazing series😆

I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for this book and it was honestly such a great read. The characters were all so well written and some of the twists at the end I wasn’t entirely expecting. I felt like it took a while for me to get into this but when I did I was hooked to the story.
Reagan was an incredible fmc I loved her story and was invested in her backstory throughout the book and was surprised when we found all this out towards the end. I loved Hendricks and after his character was introduced (as well as some of the other characters) I didn’t want to put the book down. There was so much to this book and I definitely recommend it and this author and I hope to read more from them in the future.
I received this book as an ARC directly from the author and WOW.
The world building throughout, and Reagan as the FMC was just gorgeous. I had a sneaky suspicion about Malakin and his purpose right from the minute he popped up, and felt frustrated at times with his approach to the plot. This is fast paced, a world you can visually see in your mind as you’re reading, and full of beautiful characters just like Ivy! The death of Imeracha made me a little sad though!
Verase is the new Velaris!
The ending omggggg I NEED BOOK NUMBER 2 now!!!!!!!! Can’t wait to see how this storyline plays out in the future!
Fantasy, romance, fighting, plot twists and much much more! Fantastic read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From the very beginning I was hooked. The story pulled me in quickly, and I loved the way the author described the world. The setting felt vivid and immersive, which made it easy to picture everything and really get lost in the story.
One thing I maybe would have liked a little more of was the actual fae world. I found that part really interesting and would have loved to explore it a bit deeper. But who knows, maybe we’ll get to see more of it in a future book? 🤭
Overall, it was a really fun and engaging read, and I’m glad I had the chance to read it early! 🫶🏼
Wow, this book is amazing! The writing is absolutely beautiful, it’s so easy to get into and I fell in love with the characters instantly. The last few chapters were such a rollercoaster; I was on the edge of my seat (romantasy lovers know exactly what I mean 🤭).
I especially loved Reagan and the side characters were all so well developed. The sense of found family was everything 🥹
I truly can’t recommend this book enough, and I’m praying to House Tenebrarius for more books in the series 🫶
I received this book as an ARC and I can’t thank Hannah enough for introducing me to this amazing world🫶
If you like fantasy, the fae and human dynamics, small village life, mystery and action, not to mention women empowerment. Then I highly recommend this book. It was a massively enjoyable read. It gives the vibes of far and humans living separately and on separate sides of the land. I will say, it’s a slow starter. Lots of setup for the world you are about to dive into, but I’m not mad about it. The ending is phenomenal if you like ending on an enticing cliffhanger. This is a great book for fantasy readers.
This is one of the most outstanding books I’ve ever read, the twists and turns that you just don’t see coming keep you on the edge of your seat.
Once I started reading, I couldn't stop. The story was incredibly captivating from start to finish, with in-depth character backstories. I was blown away by the level of writing in this book.
Could not recommend this book anymore. You must buy!
I'm new to the fantasy romance genre, when I read this book I had no expectations....by the end I was very happily surprised. It had everything I'm looking for really, fantasy, world building, character development, murder, mystery and magic.
I'm new to fantasy romance and to this author...I recommend both.
dnf at 20%. I wanted to love this book (because omg same name as the main character!!) but I was a bit annoyed at Reagan constantly doing everything for Malakin and saying that he is her comfort. Like babe you just met?! Maybe it got better but I couldn’t get myself to keep going. and I very rarely dnf :-(

Forgotten Reign is a beautifully written & thought-provoking novel that sets the standard for modern fantasies to date. This is a perfect read for anyone who enjoys classic fantasy with meaningful themes and elegant storytelling.
Wow! I finished this book in 2 days! Loved it! It gripped me from the start but about 200 pages from the end….GAMECHANGER I could not put the book down
It’s so nice to read a book with found family, new powers and a strong female lead!
This is a 4.5 stars for me ! I loved this book. I think this is the perfect romantasy book if you’re new to the genre and the way the second half of the book had my jaw on the floor is unmatched. I can’t wait to see what happens in book too 🤭
