Cobbler Cove #4
A Family for Cooper
She’s scrambling to hold her chaotic family together. He’s spent his whole life looking for a peaceful home.
Rose Henderson has already survived the worst thing that could happen to her—losing her husband in the fire that devastated Cobbler Cove four years ago. Now she runs the diner in town, raises her increasingly sullen fifteen-year-old son alone, and keeps her dreams tucked away where they can’t hurt her. She doesn’t have time for complications. Especially not the kind that come in the form of a quiet, steady cowboy who shows up the day after Christmas to find her diner broken into and her world falling apart.
Cooper Lawton knows a crime scene when he sees one—and this one is wrong. Eight years as a military police investigator taught him to read the evidence others miss. He came to Cobbler Cove to figure out his next chapter after a bull-riding injury ended his rodeo career. He didn’t expect to take on a beautiful widow, her angry teenage son, and a small-town mystery that’s bigger than anyone realizes. Someone is hiding dark secrets about the fire that killed Rose’s husband.
As Cooper digs deeper into the diner break-in, he finds himself drawn into something far more dangerous—and far more personal. Someone is threatening Rose’s son. And somewhere between flipping pancakes and teaching her boy to trust again, Cooper starts to wonder if the home he’s been searching for was right here all along.
But Rose has learned the hard way that the people you love can disappear without warning. And Cooper has never stayed anywhere long enough to put down roots. When the truth about the fire threatens to destroy everything Rose has rebuilt, they’ll both have to is love worth the risk of losing again?
A clean, heartwarming cowboy romance with an ex-military protector hero, a strong single-mom heroine, her troubled teen, a small-town mystery, and all the found-family warmth your heart can hold.

Review of advance copy received from Author
I am so in love with this series! Cooper and Rose’s story brought tears to my eyes on more than one occasion. The heartfelt emotions that the widows of Cobbler Cove experienced after their firefighter husbands and brother perished in a barn fire would have devastated even the strongest of women. Reading about how they banded together and helped each other was a testament to the fierce loyalty and love that existed in this small town. As a reader, you can’t help but to fall in love with them and hope for them all to find happiness again. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for Tucker next!
I received an ARC directly from the author and am excited to leave my honest review.

Deserves five stars, but…
This excellent story grips the reader with suspense, vivid characters, and an exciting finish. The only thing it lacks is a good proofreader. The grammatical errors occur on almost every page—run-on sentences, sentence fragments, etc. With its grammar cleaned up, this story would certainly rate five stars.

Good
Engaging read.
Can't wait to read next in series.
Only grouse is that the character sketches of the lead characters in all books in the series are too similar. Reading the series back to back actually ends up being a bit boring.
the fire incident holds my attention .. which sort of makes me gobon to the next🙂
