Long awaited and well worth it! Xavier and Zach(Slaughter) were sensational. No notes! Their parents were amazing, and it’s no surprise that they are as well.
It was so exciting getting to see the little snippets of them comparing similarities they have with both of their parents, and it really just inspired me to revisit those love stories too. I won’t fangirl too much about them all, but how iconic is it! I especially adored how accepting every one in the MCs/their families were so accepting and supportive of them being MM. It was so heart warming and insane how hard they would ride for this new couple.
The family and everyone else was amazing, but knowing Zach was so far gone since high school and everyone knowing was perfection. It’s giving Butcher in the best way. Xavier did not know what was coming, and how this was going to change his life. The drama against the two was a little too real at times, but hey this actually happen to the lgbt-q in real life so it just made the story that more intense. However I love how LeAnn Ashers always brings is down to earth in these books and ends them with love conquering all. At least until the next book…

I knew that one of butchers kids would grow up to be very intense. I had no doubt it would be his son Zack. Xavier is a kind soul who wanted to help everybody but he has a backbone of steel himself and together what they have is absolute fire. This is probably one of my favorite authors and when I start reading her books rarely can I put them down and tell her finished. I’m excited to see where we go next. Happy reading to everybody!

Oh My God! Slaughter
I am beyond thankful I was selected to read this early! I was so excited to open this book!
I have read every book LeAnn Ashers has out. For those of us that have been here a while, Zach is the son of Butcher and Shaylin. Xavier is the son of Braylin and Ethan. Nephew to Liam and Paisley.
This book was everything I wanted it to be and more!
First off, Zach aka Slaughter is truly his fathers son! He knew X was his and much like his father, decided stalking was the best way to keep him safe. Zach was ready to defend his man at every turn. Xavier was a great doctor with a huge heart but he also was badass! I loved how he accepted all parts of Zach. I enjoyed watching him stand up for himself but also his patients. Xavier was such a feirce protector in his own way.
Secondly, I was so impressed and warmed by the level of love and respect both familes gave these two! The entire MC never blinked twice when Slaughter brought X in. They treated X so well, not that I had any doubts based on other books. It was just heartwarming to see unfolding.
Overall the story was amazing! The there were parts of the story that brought genuine tears to my eyes. I never understood the need to hurt someone simply because they don’t beleive or live the same way you do. X faced so many challenges for who he was. I was so thankful that everyone rallied behind him to keep him safe. I appriciated the way LeAnn Asher’s brought up the topic of desrimination in the work place, not just because of X’s sexualilty but in the differance between men and women as well. (Little Spolier) I was so angry when X was accused to assult. I was ready to fight that woman myself for her lies!
There were more than once when I was in tears reading this book. LeAnn Ashers really brought out all the emotions in this book. I was rooting for them as individuals and as a couple! I always feel so deeply about all the characters in Leann Ashers books But I want to say that this has to be by far one of my top 5! Salughter and X deserved their HEA. I cannot wait to read this all over again and pretend its the first time!
Everyone needs to run to this book! Way to Go LeAnn for another amazing book!

I had been waiting for this book so impatiently, and my expectations were incredibly high. I mean… the son of Butcher and Shaylin getting his story? There was no way I wasn’t counting the days. And honestly? Slaughter delivered everything I hoped for and more.
It’s still relatively rare to see an M/M romance in an MC world, even if it’s becoming a little more common lately, and LeAnn Ashers absolutely nailed it.
Zach “Slaughter” is exactly the man I imagined he would grow up to be. Possessive, protective, fiercely loyal, and just a little bit obsessive when it comes to the people he loves. In other words—very much his father’s son. Once he decides Xavier is his, there is no going back. His need to protect and claim what belongs to him runs deep, and it made their dynamic incredibly intense.
And then there’s Xavier, “X,” who is the complete opposite in many ways. A dedicated ER doctor, he spends his life saving people and caring for others. He’s kind, compassionate, and truly such a gentle soul. Zach and Xavier have known each other since high school, circling around each other for years, and seeing them finally give in to what’s been building between them for so long was incredibly satisfying.
They might seem like total opposites on the surface—one heals while the other destroys—but together they create the perfect balance. Their relationship is intense, emotional, and deeply rooted in loyalty, trust, and family.
And the angst in this book? Through the roof. From beginning to end, there’s danger, violence, suspense, and high emotional stakes surrounding them. The tension never really lets up, and it keeps you completely hooked while Zach and Xavier fight their way toward the happiness they both deserve.

This book was definitely worth the wait. Ever since Zach (Slaughter) was mentioned before, I was excited for his story, and it didn’t disappoint.
Zach has secretly loved Xavier for years, always watching out for him but staying in the background because he didn’t feel good enough. Meanwhile, Xavier grows into a successful doctor, unaware of just how much Zach cares. When they finally come face to face during a tense moment with Xavier’s old bullies, everything changes. It pushes them to finally admit their feelings and take a chance on being together.
The story keeps you hooked, with a lot of emotional moments that make your heart race. It was also really nice to see familiar characters from both the original series and the new generation.

Overall, it’s a drama filled and emotional love story about taking risks and believing you deserve happiness. I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for the next book.

Slaughter is the MC sergeant at arms, the muscle guy, the guy who protects at all cost. He has been protection Xavier since high school (without him know of course) 🤭
After years of watching he has decided enough is enough it was about time he claimed the Doc as his. And my god does her ever claim 🫶🔥
The protection not only Slaughter has for X but the way X will Procter Slaughter… it was awing out load while reading.
This book had a lot of action and just when it seemed like they are getting their happily ever after you realized your only 69% in 😲 they are happy what are you gonna do to them LeAnn 😩🤣

Zach has been watching and protected Xavier for a long time from afar. Xavier and Zach have danced around each other for some time, until violence brings them together and when Xavier becomes a target, Zach steps out of the shadows.
This is a well written action packed, easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, tension, danger, suspense, intrigue, secrets, challenges, humour, witty banter, violence, intense chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, dark MC romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This is a sweet splashed with raw story. If you have read Buthcher's story then you know who Zach has known who is since he was a teenager. He has known who he has wanted for just about as long. He is comfortable in his own skin and refuses to let anyone beat him down. The issue is, is he doesn't think he is good enough for Xavier and believes he deserves someone who isn't a biker. The issue is, is that Xavier has had a huge crush on Zach since they were teenagers. When circumstances bring them together we get to see their sweet story come to life. We see how Zach will do anything for those he loves and we see Xavier finally feel comfortable to be who he truly is. The raw moments between these two are filled with sweet tender moments. They both finally get their HEA and live their lived their way.

Zach and Xavier are so perfect together. I loved how we got a glimpse of the other characters from the previous stories too. Anyway if you don't know the is a MM story. Its not my usual style of story I read but I have loved everyone of Ms Ashers books previously and was looking forward to how she would write this story also. Let's just say she doesn't disappoint in the least. I loved the entire storyline and how the main characters interacted with each other. Ms Asher brings so much feeling in her stories and Zach and Xavier are a perfect example of how she shares such an amazing storyline. I absolutely 💯 loved it and will be rereading it many times in the future. A++ all around.

This Book was absolutely amazing. I have read every book, and I always say that the book i just read was absolutely amazing, this book is no exception. I the characters and story line was action packed and the love story was engaging and very well developed. It is always great to revisit characters from previous books the parents of slaughter were my favorite book when it was there turn. I will definitely continue to recommend and continue to read from this author. Great Job Leann and please keep up the amazing work.

One sitting!! I could not put this one down. As soon as it was announced I was so excited and as soon as it dropped on my kindle I dove right in. Xavier and Zach had me in a chockhold from chapter 1. Zach is definitely up for nomination on top book boyfriends of 2026. The way he is with Xavier is just down right swoon worthy, but also touch him and ☠️. I love seeing the characters young and old in these series and the storyline was kept me going. The ending had me in tears. Can't wait for how is next!!

I'm never afraid to read this authors books as she has never let me down yet. I'm not really into MM romance but as I feel like I know these characters I just had to read. The storyline was really well developed and kept you reading. The characters were as expected, carasmatic, strong and appealing. The relationship was well written and all the subplots around it just worked perfectly. Loved it.

Holy hotness Batman! Zach (Slaughter) is off the charts possessive and protective of Xavier, has been for years. He has watched over the kind doctor while said doctor has carried a torch for Zach. The chemistry between them is scorching. On top of that, the sweetness thrilled me to my soul. This is the reason I adore reading romance, the romantic, emotional connection. The spicy times are just a cherry on top of this amazing sundae of a book. Loved every moment I spent with them!

I did love this one. I wish it would have stated that neither were with others while wanting each other, but nothing was stated, at all. Lots going on.

I absolutely love this book! Zach is definitely a mini Butcher like we all knew he would be. All the different layers that LeAnn added in just showed how amazing her writing is and how she always makes it so you connect with the characters. Can't wait to read it over and over while waiting for the next book!

LeAnn Ashers has done it again with the next book in The Devil's Soul MC: Next Generation. Slaughters' book was everything. I absolutely loved Zach and X together, and the fact that Zach is Butcher and Shaylyn's son, who are my favorite couple, makes it all the better. It's hot, steamy and has enough drama and action to keep you on the edge of your seat. A definite 5-star must-read.

Just when i think this author can’t get any better…she does and nothing has been getting my attention lately yet her books always have me at the edge of my seat. I cried and laughed and rage along the characters.i loved them i can’t wait for what happens next to what feels like family to me since the first book. I pray this author never stops writing

I have been patiently waiting for this book (honestly all LeAnn's books) and of course this book did not disappoint. These two guys are perfect for each other. When trouble comes ,they work together with their families so they can get the life together that they deserve. I highly recommend this book.

it's good. I wish it wasn't so rushed and we could get more of the build up to their relationship and see them really get to know and fall for each other, before the usual drama. its like 70% drama and angst and 30% relationship, which I somewhat expected from Ashers, but I guess I just wanted a little more of them as a couple too.

W0w, that was excellent book. A long romance that smoulders on both sides of the aisle. Can the ER Doc and the enforcer for the club make a go of it or will people and families get in the way, When they come together it was sweet and perfect and smoking hot. So worth the weight for this story. A very nice addition to the series.

I absolutely loved this as usual with this authors books I loved cat hinges up with previous characters. This book is absolutely 100% worth the read. I would absolutely recommend this book and author to anyone who loves an epic love with twists and turns. I hope you love this book as much as I have. Happy Reading ♡

Zach is truly Bucher and Shaylin‘s son. He’s possessive and fiercely loyal of what’s his and handy with a knife. Zach’s loved Xavier since high school and has “fixed” his problems since then also. One thing leads to another and when Zach has to protect Xavier from his high school bullies in the parking lot of a bar, things escalate between the two and lines cross. Now that their feelings are out in the open, will it be smooth sailing?

When I read it in Fury I was like excited and damn I wasn't deceive the story line great as always the love story was cute with how much they pinned for each other but I was hoping they adopted Daphne. I know the gang rivals the reapers gonna appear in the next tome in how they finish it on.

Absolutely freaking loved Slaughter. Xavier and Zach (Slaughter) are awesome. I just love their dynamic and their chemistry is so freaking hot. I love their families and how supportive they are with them. This is the first MM romance by LeAnn Asher’s and I can’t wait for more. Kudos to an another amazing book LeAnn Asher’s!!!!

This book was so good! Through it all these clubs prove family over everything. Even if it’s not your idea of what family looks like. Zach is Butcher on steroids and Xavier is the clam in the storm. I’m always excited to visit these characters and sad when the visit is over.
