Alliance Commanders Brandt Carver and Hawke Summers have a new mission. Take command of Space Station: Alpha X2, get it running smoothly again, and find out how the last station commander wound up murdered in the middle of a Krytos sanctuary. The two Elites are experienced trouble-shooters, specializing in fixing problems and putting out fires all over the galaxy, but this assignment is going to be the greatest challenge of their careers.
T’karra Ryvern runs the Black Hole bar, the Krytos sanctuary on X2. The bar is the only home she’s ever known and a safe haven for the Krytos who lost their planet to alien invaders more than a century ago. A proud warrior and pack leader, she offers protection to those who need it, but now someone has targeted T’karra and her family. With everything she loves in danger, she’ll do whatever it takes to end the threat. Even if it means working with two men she has no reason to trust.
The Commanders will do whatever it takes to protect T’karra, while convincing her that the three of them belong together. Will they uncover the truth in time to stop the attacks, or will they lose their chance at love when one of them becomes the enemy’s final target?
Susan lives out on the Canadian west coast surrounded by open water, dear family and good friends. She’s jumped out of perfectly good airplanes on purpose and accidentally swum with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef. If the world ends, she plans to survive as the spunky, comedic sidekick to the heroes of the new world, because she’s too damned short and out of shape to make it on her own for long.
Writing is her joy, her escape from reality and the only way she knows of to quiet the nagging harridan of a muse the universe assigned to her.

Amazing... I love the fact that I can add this to my favorites list. The series just keeps getting better and better. Targeted was right up there with my fav Sci-Fi reads and glad that it was part of this awesome series. Its an easy read that flows well and its just about the right length. Not too much detail to bog you down, but enough that keeps the reader interested. The characters are awesome, I loved T’karra’s brothers. Hawke a alliance commander was “undercover” for a very short time..when he and his partner arrived on their new station. Hawke is more verbal and quick to react, where as Brandt is more the thinker of the two. But they both come together in agreement when they spend just a little time in T’karra’s presence. T’karra is a Krytos female and leader of her pack, you may remember her from book 4 Stowaway. She kicks but and takes names and will never justify her actions to anyone. At her age she should be mated but she isn’t to the consternation of her brothers. For T’karra she has more than earned her freedom and right to lead and isn’t about to give that up to be mated. I cant find anything negative to say about this book, Ms.Hayes nailed it...with her talent to weave a spell the word play, the bit of mystery and danger and more than sizzling scenes that make you want to fan your face. I am glad that I was able to read this and do recommend it to anyone that has a love for Science Fiction. Enjoy
I've been a fan of the 3013 series since its beginning, and with each book this series just keeps getting better and better. Author Susan Hayes has written a wonderfully crafted story, which centers around one of the peripheral characters in the previous book of the series. The heroine T'Karra is a pack leader of a group of Krytos, a warrior race whose home was destroyed by the same bad aliens who attacked Earth. She's written as a very feisty, independent woman, who is trying to find out who betrayed her pack in the last book. The two commanders, Hawke and Brandt who come to the X-2 station to find out what is happening and to straighten out the station were written as great alpha individuals, but with a bit of humor as the two of them snark at each other a lot. The three of them fall for each other, while trying to solve the crime, and our heroes want to keep the independent woman as their chosen. If you want to find out more, buy this book! It's amazing and very entertaining.
I have just fallen in love this series. It was a great addition. This series is just a treat to read. I love each new installment. This one was not a disappointment. IF you are looking for a great alien ménage read then look no further.
I have decided to reread the series because of the several new additions to the series I wanted to re-experience the 3013 world. I am so glad I did I get to revisit all my favorite characters and I am so in love with this series.
WOW If you enjoy reading futuristic sci-fi romance and menage then you will love this book and the series. Although this can be read as a standalone it is a much more enjoyable read if read in order. Well written and enjoyable to read. I can`t wait to read the next installment of this wonderful story.
WOW JUST WHEN YOU THINK IT CAN'T GET ANY BETTER...Each Addition DOES!!! I'm Totally Going To Recommend YOU WANT TO GRAB A Comfortable Spot and Enjoy Every Minute Of Reading!!!!
We join Commanders Hawke Summers and Brandt Carver as they travel to their new assignment. They aren't on the expected ship, they are sneaking in on a small freighter, to do some undercover investigating before they officially start. Their job is to find all the holes in security that allowed for the mercenary attack that occurred in the Krytos sanctuary on X2 and fix it all. Hawke's a bit upset that the target of that attack, Sonja Wilde-Storm and her bonded have already left the station. However, thanks to Deacon Wilde they did have more information than anyone else had found.
Hawke will be visiting the Black Hole, the Krytos Bar/Sanctuary undercover as a mercenary between jobs, while Brandt looks into some of the other aspects of the security breach. In the sanctuary Hawke learns much his first visit and dismisses any suspicion of involvement. He also finds himself unable to resist T’karra Ryvern the pack leader and warrior. He also knows she will not be pleased with his deception and he's not wrong.
We see a lot more of T’karra's family in this book. Including her brothers Danor and Verik.
Carver's first visit with information is very enlightening and also very disturbing for T'karra. Someone within her pack is betraying them.
There is intrigue, suspense, betrayal, action, romance and plenty of sizzle in this book. I couldn't put it down.
The characters were well written, and I liked the heroine. Some typos, medium spice, RH dystopian/alien romance, no M/M. I will give the next book a chance.
I was disappointed in this book, the principal female character was introduced in an earlier book in the series. I thought the characters lacked depth and dimension. Further the story itself lacked authenticity! Therefore I rated the story 3.4 and assigned it a 3.4 sexy rating. I hope that this trend does not continue since I have already bought the next three books!
3013:Targeted by Susan Hayes is a great addition to the 3013:The Series books. I love how she brings strong characters and great story telling together to make an unforgettable read. Hawke Summers isn’t very diplomatic, he isn’t a fan of small spaces and been known to play mercenary between jobs. He has the flair for the dramatic. Maverick personality. Brandt is Hawke’s brother of the heart. They are very close friends. He wants to settle down, have a family. He is organized the administrative type. The perfect foil to Hawke’s more impulsive personality. He wants something for them, not just a pay check but a life. T’Karra she owns her own bar, aptly named The Black Hole. She has a great rep for great food and service. She is a tough as nails girl who does not take crap from anyone. I really liked T’Karra a lot she is strong yet vulnerable. She really needs the two men in her life as much as they will turn out needing her too. I liked that balance of power in the book. Made all three essential characters. Over all this has a lot of story inside this book as well as a hot hot hot romance that will keep you turning the pages. This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone without too much trouble. If you like ménage, romance, and great space stories this series is the one to pick up. You will find someone to fall in love with for sure, I know I did.
The Krytos who run sanctuaries on space stations are finally getting a book. T'Karra is the leader of her pack. Krytos are the space version of werewolves. Hawke and Brandt are to troubleshooter for the alliance elite sent to investigate the murder if the last commander at Sonja's wedding. T'Karra is a great heroine, stronger than her men and able to defend what she values. Thought it was a bit of a cop out the ending.
I never know what to expect when I open the next book in this series, but know I'm in for a great ride! Targeted has strong characters and a nice twist of suspense, but never drops the focus from the developing relationship between T'Karra, Brandt, and Hawke. Sexy, funny, and fast-paced, this story was a lot of fun!
I have read several books in this series and I have Loved them all. Even though they are written by different authors, they all flow wonderfully together. This book is no exception. They ending was very fulfilling.
Targeted by Susan Hayes was one of the best of the 3013 series! I loved it first page to last. There was some violence, mystery, definitely growing love along with mutual respect of T'Kara and her mates: Hawke and Brandt. Fantastic finish to the story. 5 STARS!
