Hello!
Thank you for stopping by.
The short story is I was born in Toronto, Canada. When I was 16, my family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and that is where I met my wife, Bev.
We've been married for 43 years and share our home in Southwest Missouri with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 8 chickens, a herd of goats. We have 3 sons and 12 grandchildren that keep us hopping.
I've been known to ride my motorcycle in nice weather, play golf in nice weather, and tend my garden in nice weather. In bad weather, I prefer to stay inside. :)
Thanks to the support of you, our readers, I've been able to devote full time to my writing. Bev does our cover designs.
We hope you our books are enjoyable and you'll let us know.
Please feel free to contact us at: jdalglish7@gmail.com or on Facebook
God Bless, John & Bev

And the Saga Continues

While intriguing and more great police work from our favorite detectives, this one was much darker than some of the previous ones I've read. Young females going missing in a popular tourist section and then being found buried in a cemetery beneath another burial plot. Pretty gruesome stuff, but these are after all police procedurals and stories of missing and exploited women are all to real. The first victim was found due to a woman wanted the body of her husband exhumed in order to be reburied elsewhere. That's when a very disturbing element occurred. At the bottom of the burial plot bones were discovered that had only been there a short while. Pretty creepy indeed! It will not deter me from reading more books by this author as I find them mostly fascinating and very well written. The interactions between the partners, witty dialogue and glimpses of their personal lives helps with the much darker theme.

A very good 10th Book in the series

If you have read any of the previous Jason Strong, detective stories by John C. Dalglish, you'll find more of the same here. A good cop book without the foul language that seems to predominate the genre. I would recommend it for that alone but it is a fine story as well.

A body is found under an exhumed coffin. Jason and Vanessa must rush to solve it or another girl dies.

Tension mounts as a killer plays games with his victim like a cat playing with a mouse.

Another great book. They seem to get better. I love a good mystery, especially when I don't have to worry about foul language and questionable scenes. There are mentions of sexual crimes committed but no details. I love that.

I look forward to the next book in this series and finding out more about Jason and his partner, Vanessa.

Great book! Detectives Strong and Layne are back with there lasted case, it starts with a body found in a grave, that leads to a missing girl. The books in this series have both elements of a great page turner: mystery and suspense. It is also very light for most mystery thrillers, there is no profanity, sex scenes, and some but very limited violence (for a mystery thriller).

Excellent Book/Series

Jason Strong Series
I have finished the entire series and have nothing but praise for every one of them! It’s wonderful to have an author who doesn’t rely on bad language for “realism” yet peaks interest in both plot and characters. Excellent series; endearing characters; great reads.

Just what you expect, awesome!

I run out of adjectives for this author. You identity with the people easily and quickly, the plots keep you reading later in to the night, whatever more can you ask for.

Another good read!

Another despicable murderer gets caught in the act due to good detective work. Keeps your interest to the end, just the right length, likeable main characters. Looking forward to more from this author.

Let's Play by John Dalglish felt like a screen play for a criminal minds episode. It was entertaining, especially since it was set in San Antonio -- I felt very much at home. Glad I had the chance to read this entertaining, if somewhat creepy, novel. I look forward to encountering detectives Jason Strong and Vanessa Layne again.
Let's Play was a goodreads winner for me. I've already passed it on to a fellow reader who read it quickly. It's now moving on to another goodreads reader!

An interesting and fast-paced short story, more of a Novella than a full length book. Reads easily and keeps one going, but not too in-depth. I read the book on a layover while waiting for a flight at LAX, with a couple trips to the drink machine and rest room. I would read this author's other books for sure as well.

This book was passed to me by someone who received it as a Goodreads giveaway and enjoyed it.

Nothing beats a great mystery. The Jason Strong series is exactly that. The characters are interesting and the series is both thrilling and suspenseful. Inn just a few hours I can breeze through these stories. It's the best way to spend some time. I really enjoyed all of the series so far. You will too! Enjoy!

Good potential

Started out good but lacks plot development. The main protagonist was lacking development. Other details lacking were certain suspects who were not officially cleared but just dropped with no further mention.

Let's Play

I really enjoyed this novel. It held my interest from start to finish.
it's characters were real and the plot lead you back and forth.
The only thing that could have made it better was the shortness of it. I was sorry to reach the so soon.

Games..

When a game is played by a killer, the outcome isn't always what we would want to happen, although with the right balance of people working the case, they can figure it all out!
