There’s a killer on my doorstep, and she brought mini muffins.

I’m a cop.
She’s a killer.
…and she’s living in my house.

I should arrest her, make her pay for every life she’s taken … instead I’m fantasizing about her.

Wanting her.

Craving her.

And I don’t know how much longer I can resist.

But the bodies are stacking up. The lies are, too.

And the spark that drew me in might become a fire that destroys us both.

Loving Guy is a novella that follows Saving Ella (book 1 must be read first to avoid spoilers and confusion). It is not a typical romance, and discusses heavy, sometimes distressing themes. Readers are strongly advised to read the trigger warnings at the start of the book. The novella has a HEA.

святі канапочки, яка вибухова пара: шеф поліції та наймана вбивця 🔥
гай - просто втілення daddy's home home for me.

It was great to be back in this universe. I love that the story takes place three years after the first book. We get to see what's happening in the book with Gabe and Ella.
But the heart of this book is Monty.
I have a soft spot for psychopathic women, especially those with a good sense of humor. I'm a junkie for that kind of humor, the dialogue, and the smut scenes. It's 100% yummy and I didn't even like age gap.

Thank you so much to Everafter PR and Kayla Kyng for sending me this ARC. I had a lot of fun reading this book and completely fell in love with Guy 🥵. The story was entertaining from start to finish, and the plot kept me hooked. While I enjoyed the overall experience, I did feel the pacing was a little rushed at times. I would’ve liked a bit more character development. I also would’ve loved to learn more about Monty’s past… she’s def a baddie! This was still a really fun and spicy good time and I could definitely see it working well as a movie 3.5 ⭐️

ARC review!

I loved this! Kayla Kyng is quite a new author for me, and I am devouring her books. 😍

This is an age-gap romance between an assassin and a police chief. 🔥 I’ve read 'Saving Ella', the book before this one, and the little snippets of Monty and Guy in that book had me eagerly awaiting their story, which I devoured! 🙂‍↕️

Guy is Monty’s friend’s father. You already know by now I will enjoy a hot, grumpy daddy with a filthy mouth, and this isn’t an exception. 🫦 He tells himself it’s forbidden to fall for an assassin but can’t resist. He’s secretly enjoying how much she is riling him up. 😏

I haven’t read about a fmc like this one before, and I love her! Monty is hilarious for no apparent reason. She’s confident and a badass. ❤️‍🔥 Monty crashes into Guy’s place even though she shouldn’t because of their professions, and the story goes from there. The forced proximity was delicious. Their chemistry and banter were fantastic. 🤩 The fact that she tells everyone he’s her boyfriend and how it infuriates him (he loves it). 🤭 She is the epitome of a 'touch him and die' trope.

I loved watching their relationship unfold—from the way they fell in love, to her opening up about her past, and him gradually letting his guard down for her. ❤️‍🩹 I loved how Guy loved her even with her darker parts and how she trusted him. 🥺

This was a perfect short, spicy dark romance with some suspense and emotional moments. It’s going on my favourites list and I definitely recommend it. 🫶

Loving Guy is book 2 in the Flynn Brothers series and it follows Guy Gibson and Monty Reid. We were first introduced to Guy and Monty in book 1, Saving Ella. Guy is Ella’s overprotective and loving father and Monty is Ella and Gable’s friend. The story takes place a few years after Saving Ella, and it begins with Monty showing up at Guy’s doorstep (with muffins) needing a place to stay. Right away the physical attraction and chemistry between Guy and Monty is present. However, with Guy being the police chief and Monty being a paid assassin, Guy puts his walls up and tries his hardest to stay away from Monty. But the more time they spend together, the more Guy can’t resist his attraction to Monty.

Monty is such a baddie. She confident and hilarious and unapologetic. She’s the type of FMC who knows what she wants and isn’t ashamed to go after it. I especially loved how she loved to antagonized Guy. Those early scenes where she was telling everyone that would listen that he was her boyfriend and Guy acting like he hates it… hilarious. Guy is such a daddy with a dirty mouth. Those spicy scenes were 🥵

Guy and Monty shouldn’t work, but somehow someway they do. Proving that opposites attract. I mean Guy is the police chief and Monty is a paid assassin. I don’t think you can get any more opposite than that. Guy and Monty’s relationship development felt real and genuine. As they got closer, they began to open up to each other. Sharing things about themselves they haven’t admitted or shared with anyone else. The way those two were so protective of one another, the touch her/him and die vibes were through the roof. And when Guy finally lowered his walls to love Monty despite her dark past, that was everything.

The story was engaging and entertaining from beginning to end, it was such a wild ride, I was so anxious reading those last few chapters! I enjoyed getting to know more about the mysterious Monty. We learned about her past and how she became to be, which had my heart aching. I loved having a morally gray FMC, it was refreshing and we really don’t get too many FMCs like her.

I will add that you should definitely read Loving Guy immediately after reading Saving Ella, trust me you won’t be disappointed. So far, I am loving the every book in the Flynn Brothers series, every read has been a 5 star read for me. I cannot wait to see what is up next in the Flynn Brothers Series!

Oh my gosh! This book brought me out of a book slump, made me so excited, had me on the edge of my seat, ripped my heart out and put it back together. In one sitting! I haven’t finished a book in a day in a really long time. I read the Arc and it was so worth it.

I was a little scared off by the trigger warnings but heard great things about this author. This book did not disappoint from the first page! I didn’t read the previous book in the series, and I wasn’t lost. This story could be a stand alone. I absolutely loved the characters. They weren’t flat, and I really felt like I knew them. The pacing and writing style is what really hooked me. If you can hold me from the first few pages, you’ve got me.

I was obsessed with the dynamic between Guy and Monty from the beginning. It’s quick and whitty and I was begging for them to kiss. The story felt natural and I was just rooting for everyone. I was on the edge of my seat and couldn’t stop reading.

I’m a sucker for a good love story and don’t you worry, the book is spicy.

I cannot wait to read other books by this author.

Oh my word! What a read!! If I wasn't already obsessed with this series, I definitely would be now! Loving Guy is book 2 of the Flynn Brothers series and part of The Luxe Universe.

I absolutely loved the story of Guy and Monty! She is such a bad ass FMC! Strong, unapologetic, witty and antagonistic ( well mainly to Guy 🤣) The dynamic between Guy and Monty was ful of wit, banter, spice 🥵 and emotional!

Loving Guy is such an gripping read and again Kayla Kyng has you hooked with the first few pages! And just as you are flying through the story Kayla throws in a twist that was unexpected and so emotional 😢

I loved seeing Ella and Gable return and see how there relationship has developed and grown, but also seeing how Guy has dealt with everything from book 1!

I so can't wait to see what happens next in The Luxe Universe! Make sure you check out the Trigger Warnings before reading! But grab your copy of Loving Guy Now!!

I thought I couldn’t love Monty more than I already did but this girl is a BADDIE ! 👏🏼 😍 She’s fiesty , sassy , funny and HOT ! Monty isn’t afraid to be who she is and she embraces it and I love that Guy is able to ground her but at the same time can match her energy. In true Kayla Kyng fashion we get romance 🥰 , alittle humor🤭 , spice🥵 and of course EMOTIONALLY damaged during some of those chapters 😭! I absolutely loved this novella and I’m excited to see what else she comes up with.

Note that you need to read Saving Ella first before going into this book since that’s where you first meet Monty and Guy. There are some things that are mentioned in Loving Guy that will be confusing if you didn’t read it first.

I LOVE Kayla Kyng! I Luuuuv Guy and Monty. They are absolutely perfect together. They are so bad but so so good for each other. These being the side characters from Saving Ella, you really did need them to have a spotlight. And this was perfect. Kayla’s writing is edgy and it flows so fucking well. Loving Guy by Kayla Kyng

“She’s so beautiful. But the deadliest things always are.”

Cannot express the gratitude I have for gaining the second book in The Luxe Universe. I finished this in less than a day because I simply could not sit it down. Okay, now onto the good stuff!

This book is exactly what you need after the ending of the first book! Although yes, still an emotional rollercoaster (yet still so beautiful), I still could not put this down at all! The development between these characters then the MMC and FMC on their own was just amazing and done so well by the author.

But, let’s talk about the ending. Aka the dinner. BECAUSE WHAT. I couldn’t turn the page fast enough. I love the fact that this book was in a way (TO ME) a dark rom com. I legit loved Monty and everything she brought to the table because she brought the wild side out of Guy and Guy was able to “tame” Monty. It was beautiful in every way. By the way, if you want some spicy NSFW art & a spicy amazing bonus scene head over to Kayla Kyng’s instagram & sign up for her newsletter in her bio!

With Ella and Gable safely hidden in Canada, Police Chief Guy finds himself alone in San Francisco… until Monty, a lethal assassin and friend of Ella, shows up at his door with mini-muffins. What starts as a reluctant stay quickly turns into a high-stakes game of survival and undeniable attraction when shadows from Monty's past catch up to them.

4/5⭐️ — 4/5 🌶️ (4 chapters/26)

🤎 Age gap
🔪 Assassin x Chief of Police
⚡️ Forced proximity
🩸 Vengeance
💘 He falls first
💗 Found family

I absolutely loved this second volume! After the wild ride of Saving Ella, getting Guy’s story was exactly what I needed. If you’re looking for a romance that balances intense spice with a gripping plot, this is it. The tension between Guy and Monty is electric from the moment she steps into his house. It’s a "dark rom-com" vibe that keeps you laughing one minute and holding your breath the next. The internal conflict, the banter, and the high-octane action made this a page-turner that lived up to all my expectations.

⚠️ Spoilers ahead

🌍The Universe & Worldbuilding
The story picks up in San Francisco, providing a gritty, urban backdrop where the lines between the law and the underworld blur even further. Guy is the ultimate man of the law, but his world is turned upside down when two hitmen storm his home just two days after Monty's arrival. The "found family" aspect remains a core pillar of the series, showing how these characters, despite being on opposite sides of the law, are forced to create their own rules to protect those they love.

🧔🏻‍♂️👩🏼 The Characters
Guy:
He is the ultimate "grounded" hero. He’s all about following the rules, until his family’s safety is on the line. I adored watching him fall first for Monty, even as he fought his feelings with everything he had. The age gap, the fact that she's Ella’s friend, and their clashing morals created a delicious internal struggle for him.

Monty: Total "THAT girl" energy! She is fearless, charismatic, and has the best comeback for every situation. I loved her audacity. However, seeing her allow herself to be vulnerable with Guy was the highlight for me. Her internal conflict between her thirst for vengeance and her personal desires made her a deeply relatable character despite her profession.

❤️ The Romance & Relations
The chemistry in this book is off the charts. Watching a Chief of Police fall for a professional assassin is the ultimate forbidden fruit dynamic. I loved how their cohabitation forced them to confront their attraction, leading to a "spice" level that was even higher than the first book. The way Guy tries to resist her, only to succumb to his feelings, is so satisfying. Their relationship proves that even when your morals are miles apart, the heart doesn't care about the badge or the blade.

Recap & Recommendations
What I liked:

-Guy’s protective nature and his "he falls first" energy.
-Monty’s incredible wit and charisma, she’s a top-tier FMC.
-The perfect balance of humor, high-stakes danger, and heavy spice.
-The tension created by the age gap and the "forced proximity" trope.

What I liked less:
-Guy’s initial hesitation (though it made the payoff worth it, I wanted to shake him sometimes!).
-The feeling of wanting even more chapters because I wasn't ready to leave these characters behind.

I recommend this book if: You love an older, responsible hero who loses his cool for a younger, badass heroine. It's perfect for fans of forbidden romance with a dark, humorous edge.
I do not recommend this book if: You prefer a "slow burn", or if you strictly want a romance where the protagonists share the same moral compass.

Thank you so much Kayla for sending me this book !

Loving Guy is the second book in the Flynn Brothers series and focuses on Guy and Monty’s story. I would recommend reading Saving Ella beforehand as you won’t get the full picture otherwise.

The story opens with Monty (an assassin for hire) arriving at Guy’s (her friends’s dad who is also Chief of police) house days before Christmas, looking for a place to crash for a short time. Guy is reluctant to host Monty but eventually gives in and the pair spend a couple of weeks together during which their pre-existing attraction becomes too much to ignore and they decide to act on it. What starts out as a physical relationship turns into something deeper as Monty reveals more of her well guarded past and they both decide to make some big changes and give their relationship a real chance. This all comes to an abrupt end when a ghost from Monty’s past makes an appearance and their plans get ruined. Things then take some dangerous turns and it wouldn’t be a true Kayla Kyng book without a traumatising and devastating death. This story does have a HEA (maybe not for everyone though).

I am a really big fan of Kayla’s books and have adored the Denver Trilogy and The Flynn Brother series so far. I really liked Monty and Guy but I wish we had some more depth added to their characters, especially Guy as we barely explored anything about his background or his life. I had some issues with the pacing being inconsistent, some scenes having felt rushed and others dragged out but nothing major. To me this felt somewhere between a novella and a full length novel - on one hand this could have been shorter and snappier and cured me of the need for more depth and background but also I wish we had more time and meaningful moments with the characters and buildup of that emotional connection. With this being a dual POV I also expected to notice a difference between the narrators but it felt like it was pretty similar.

Kayla is very good at creating that emotional connection between her main characters and this was no exception. I enjoyed seeing Monty and Guy allowing themselves to open up towards one another and making concessions so that they can find a life that worked for both of them. I thought that they had a great bond and I wish we went deeper and spent more time exploring it. I think basically I am a bit confused whether to treat this as a novella and just enjoy the vibes or wish for it to have been full length and have time to explore Monty and Guy together, them opening up or showing up for each other in different ways 🥹.

The spice was perfectly tailored to the characters although I felt like one of the scenes had just come out of nowhere a bit. Maybe it’s just that I wanted more of a build up to that moment but I still enjoyed it nonetheless 🥵. Their dynamic during the spicy scenes was really good and suited to their personalities. I was also happy to see Ella and Gable and their little ones pop up and was glad they’re doing good ! ❤️ Some side character appearances also made me curious whose books we’re going to get next ! 🧐

Overall, an enjoyable read with good tension, spice, loveable characters, plot twists and emotional devastation and a HEA!

Loving Guy is an interconnected standalone sort of. You really should read Saving Ella first, to be able to appreciate this whole story.

This story follows Guy Gibson, the chief of police and also the father of Ella Gibson(from Saving Ella). Monty Reid, the angel faced and beautiful assassin turns up at Guy Gibson’s door with mini muffins and looking for a place to stay.

I loved Monty in Saving Ella and I was so excited she got her own book! She is a badass! She portrays herself one way to people but really underneath she’s loving, thoughtful, caring and tough as nails. She had her own past, her own strength, and her own mess to work through. Her backstory is incredibly sad. Explained a lot about why she was the way she was and why she was a contract killer. I love the way she just pushed her way into Guys life, even when he was adamant that wasn’t what he wanted haha!

And Guy. I mean, his name really does fit the book because I was VERY much loving Guy. Kind, guarded, built like a beast, hot, and boy does he have that “daddy” energy we all love!

Their chemistry was so good. The age gap, the forbidden element, the fact that Monty is connected to his daughter, and then the whole assassin/chief of police mix was fire! You automatically think that it’s going to be a terrible mix! Spoiler alert, it was in fact NOT a terrible mix!

I loved that it had spice and tension, but also it had a lot of emotion. It was not just them wanting each other. There was care there, healing, family complications, and two people who probably should have been all wrong for each other somehow making complete sense.
I also really enjoyed the balance between the romance, plot and the emotional side of the story. It had enough action and suspense to keep things moving, but the relationship still felt like the main focus, which is what I loved!
There is also fantastic banter and exceptionally funny internal monologue, which Kayla is great at!
At the 80% mark it gets hectic VERY quickly and it really took a turn I wasn’t ready for!

Overall, I really enjoyed Loving Guy. Monty and Guy were messy, forbidden, spicy and emotional, and I loved watching them fall into each other’s lives. If you like age gap romance, daughter’s friend, morally grey characters, assassins, protective MMCs and a romance that has spice but still gives you actual feelings, you need to add this one to your TBR.

ARC Review

Such a fun short assassin x police chief romance!

Jumping in time from the first book where these characters met, our girl is looking for a place to crash over the holidays and her first thought is to drop in on the police chief, knowing he wouldn’t turn her away. Her flirty banter pushes his buttons in all the right ways and the tension between them builds during her stay. They slowly start to open up to each other, sharing the shadows that haunt them, promises are made and broken. Make sure to check your triggers as we hit on some sensitive topics as character pasts are revealed.

I adore these MCs so much, the FMC is bada** and so strong, as you learn more about her past and understand the demons she fights it becomes even more apparent. Our MMC is a wonderful grumpy gentleman that is all about her, even if he doesn’t see it initially. They have this great dynamic pushing each other out of their comfort zones, but as with all growth there are setbacks and it was so great watching them navigate those.

Their relationship was such a slow burn, until a significant truth was revealed and a tumultuous conversation pulled them back and forth ending with some delicious spice. From there we get to enjoy what the tension between the two of them wrought and they can’t get enough of each other, so yummy!

This is definitely a romance book first and foremost, the age gap is a nice sprinkle on top, but it’s not overly emphasized to the point of annoyance. The assassin x police chief angle also gives it another fun forbidden dynamic. The demons that the MCs are fighting are quite dark and show up when needed to play a role in the progression of their relationship. I was left with some questions on aspects revolving around off page events that were mentioned, but in the end they didn’t need to be delved into to further the romance plot.

I felt this was a pretty fast paced book with time constraints that the characters were under for whatever their reasons, but also with the sudden changes in circumstances as new information was revealed. It was the opposite with their character growth, which I really enjoyed. They grew as characters slowly, their preconceived notions and distrust holding onto them tightly, they moved forward and had set backs, but then ultimately were in the right place to accept what was apparent.

I had such a good time reading this book, it made me laugh and it made me cry. I can’t get over how good this author is at making me love her characters and then pulling my heartstrings!

I’ll happily be jumping back into this universe whenever we get the next book, and I really hope we get to see how all the past MCs are doing as we did in this book!

There’s a killer on my doorstep, a she bought mini muffins.
I’m a cop.
She’s a killer.
…and she’s living in my house.

Wow… this book was soo good! I loved Saving Ella so I was so excited to jump back in and this one did not disappoint.

I finished this book in like 3 hours. I sat and binged the whole thing. I could have read another 300 pages of these characters.

Our FMC Monty is a contract killer, I loved her character. We met her in Saving Ella and I liked her then but getting a whole book about her was amazing.
We got to learn about background and how that shaped her into who she is now.
She is hilarious, sassy, strong, stubborn and WILD! 😜 She is a woman who knows what she wants!
She has no filter and says whatever she wants.

“I’ll probably just seduce him, then suffocate him with a pillow and say it was a sex act gone wrong. Should we get wine?”

“A good looking man like yourself can’t cuff me and rub up on me and expect me not to finish what you started.” 😂

Our MMC Guy is the Chief of Police. He is also Ella’s dad. So that’s not awkward at all.
I already liked Guy from the first book so I knew it was going to be good.
This man 🔥🔥🔥 wow the way the author describes this man. WOW. And he has a dirty mouth!
He tries really hard to not carry out any of his fantasies about Monty but it eventually gets the better of him.
I love the size difference between the two. Like when he stands in front of her she has to look up at him. 👏🏽

The chemistry between these two is through the roof and I was here for it! 🤌🏽 Loved their relationship.

“I love you and I can’t lose you to revenge. I’ll call in every favour I have. Have every man I can on this. I won’t give up. But please, please don’t do this. Don’t leave me to do this.”

I loved having Ella, Gable and their kids in this book. Seeing the interaction between the whole family was so good. And Ella she never disappoints on making me laugh.

“Oh my god Gable, you’ve slept with your mother in law. You’re a literal motherf@cker.” 🤣

Chapter 21 had me stressed I was on the edge of my seat.

Chapter 23 had me ugly crying! 😭

This book took me through all the emotions, from laughing at Monty in the beginning to ugly crying and then to get the ending we got made it all worth it.

Cannot recommend this book enough!!

Thank you so much Kayla and Everafter PR so sending me a copy of this book. 😊

Title: Loving Guy (The Flynn Brothers: Book 2) - ARC
Author: Kayla Kyng

Review: This is the second book in The Flynn Brothers series from the Luxe Universe.
We met Guy and Monty in ‘Saving Ella’, now Monty has shown up on the Chiefs door looking for somewhere to stay, but at least she brought mini muffins!

I couldn’t get enough of Monty and her hilarious ‘gives no sh!t’ attitude. She says whatever’s on her mind and gives zero fks if it hurts anyones feelings or makes them uncomfortable. She is the definition of a badass b!tch and has all the sass to go with it. Monty is one of my all time favourite FMC's to date.

And what’s not to love about Daddy Guy. He oozes sex appeal with his authoritative nature, one look and Monty is obsessed, and she makes damn sure everyone around knows it.

It’s been a few years since Ella and Gable went into hiding to live their lives together with their growing family. That leaves Police Chief Guy by himself over the holidays with nothing but time to waste… until he gets a knock on his door by a sexy as sin assassin, Monty Reid.

Guy reluctantly lets Monty stay, but they quickly realise that someone is after her when intruders break into Guys home to get to her. Guy being the law abiding cop can’t let that slide and he will do everything in his power to keep her safe. Even though she is a wanted person, she is still Ella's friend.

This book has it all… It’s fast, action packed with high-stakes angst and sexy scenes that will have you panting for more. The sexual chemistry between these two is electric and they have both met their match.

Ella, Gable and the kids make an appearance in this book and I want MORE! Gable is hilarious, especially giving it back to Guy.

Kayla, you really had me going there in the last few chapters. I was like…. Oh hell no, this can’t be happening!!

“You’re a murderer.”
Monty rests her hands on either side of my head, her hair curtaining us.
“Only on weekdays. I have a strict policy about working weekends.”
Despite myself, I huff a laugh. “Funny.”

⭐️ He Brought Handcuffs, She Brought Mini Muffins… I Brought Emotional Instability ⭐️

I went into Loving Guy thinking I was prepared…
As part of Kayla’s Small & Mighty crew and having had the absolute privilege of beta reading this story, I thought I knew what was coming.

I did not.

Kayla’s writing is completely enthralling. She pulls you in from the very first page with witty banter, immersive prose, and characters that feel painfully real. She slowly reveals each layer so perfectly that before you realise it, you’re emotionally invested, sweating over the tension, and fully consumed by the chaos.

And then? She destroys you.

One minute I was laughing and giggling at the banter, the next my heart was in pieces. Kayla has this incredible ability to make you feel safe in the story before ripping the floor out from under you emotionally. It’s addictive.

Monty was EVERYTHING. Strong, confident, sassy, fearless — an absolute badass female main character with so much depth and heartbreak beneath the surface. I loved her in Saving Ella, but getting more of her story here made me adore her even more.

And Guy Gibson… whew.
This man is the definition of dark, protective, emotionally wrecked “Daddy” cop energy. The yearning, the obsession, the way he absolutely adores Monty? I folded instantly. He’s intense, possessive, dangerous, soft when it matters, and honestly one of the hottest book men I’ve read in a long time.

The chemistry between Guy and Monty was electric. The spice wasn’t just there for shock value — it felt emotional, consuming, and completely tied to their connection. Every scene between them had purpose and tension that practically vibrated off the page.

I also loved that we got mature characters with a believable age gap. It felt refreshing to step away from younger romance dynamics and read about characters with emotional depth, life experience, and real baggage.

This book perfectly balances plot, emotion, suspense, heartbreak, humour, and spice. Nothing felt wasted. Every moment mattered.

✨ 5 stars
✨ Addictive, emotional, and impossible to put down
✨ I devoured this book and I’m still recovering emotionally

If you’re planning to read this series, absolutely read Saving Ella first because the character connections and emotional payoff make this story hit even harder.

Kayla didn’t just write a romance — she orchestrated emotional chaos, made me thank her for it, and I will happily come back for more

While relatively well-known in the murder for hire world, Monty has always been a mystery to those around her. A chameleon, able to change identities the way people change their clothes, she rarely allows anyone close. When she runs into trouble in California, she turns to the one man she shouldn’t to help her, her friend’s father, who happens to be the local police chief. She just forgets to mention why she’s there. As she gets up to her usual brand of chaos over the holidays, their connection grows, and she finds herself wanting to confide in him in a way she hasn’t with anyone else in a long time, and when they finally give in to temptation, she knows he has the power to break her.

Guy has spent his entire life working towards his goal of becoming police chief, but now that it’s happened, it feels empty. After his daughter left three years ago, he has had to play the role of grieving father, only seeing her and her family on rare occasions, so as not to arise suspicion. When his daughter’s friend, a notorious contract killer shows up on his doorstep right before Christmas, he doesn’t trust her motives, but agrees to let her stay, if only to combat the loneliness he’s feeling. While he knows that she is the last person he should ever think of getting involved with, she somehow breaks down his defences, and for the first time in a long time, he sees his future.

I received an early copy of this book from Ever After PR and read it the same day. After devouring the rest of the Luxe Universe books in a weekend, I couldn’t wait for Monty and Guy’s story, and it was even better than I had hoped. While they make an unlikely pair, their innate philosophies are the same and they somehow fit together perfectly. Unlike the other books in the series, this one didn’t have me sobbing uncontrollably, but that’s not to say it doesn’t have its emotional moments. It had my heart racing one minute, and laughing out loud the next. The author’s ability to tell these characters’ stories is uncanny, and I loved seeing some of my favourites (and not so favourites) from previous books making an appearance.
