The Gravesinger #3
The Endless One
Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas, Emma Hamm’s instant USA TODAY bestselling dark romantasy trilogy comes to a heart-stopping conclusion in The Endless One.
Jessamine survived betrayal, death, and the gods themselves—but survival was only the beginning. Her kingdom lies in ruins. Her throne has been stolen. And the man who once murdered her has succeeded in doing the binding himself to a god.
To reclaim her crown, Jessamine must defy ancient powers and betrayals alike—and face the enemy who once slit her throat. But now, she isn’t the innocent bride who fell to her death. She is the Gravesinger.
Captured and forced to confront a fate far worse than dying, Jessamine must decide how much of herself she is willing to sacrifice to end a war. Bound to Elric, the god who loves her, she must choose between the humanity that shaped her—and the power required to tear divinity down at its source.
Because this time, she isn’t just ready to kill a man.
She’s ready to kill a god.

Thanks to the publisher and author for my arc. The opinions are my own..
I love Elric and his utter devotion to Jessamine I wish they had managed to avoid some of the squabbles they had in this book since I felt like by book 3 they should have been an effortless team but overall this was a perfect ending. The story picks up immediately, pacing is great , stakes are high and the ending felt perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed this series.

A perfect conclusion to The Gravesinger Series. It jumped straight into action in the first few pages which stayed consistent throughout the book. This is my favorite book Emma has written, I couldn’t put it down. Thank you to Emma and Gallery books for an ARC copy!

As much as I love Emma Hamm's writing, I found myself having a very similar experience with **The Endless One** as I did with book two. In fact, I ended up switching to the audiobook because I struggled to fully immerse myself in the world through the text alone.
That being said, I was ultimately satisfied with how this trilogy concluded.
The biggest strength of this series has always been its ambitious blend of dark magic, gods, witches, death, rebirth, and epic stakes. Jessamine's journey from an innocent bride to the feared Gravesinger remains one of the most compelling aspects of the story. Watching her continue to challenge fate, gods, and powerful enemies made for some genuinely memorable moments.
However, my main frustration throughout both book two and much of book three was the arrogance of the main characters. Time and time again, they seemed convinced they were untouchable and had everything figured out, despite repeated evidence proving otherwise. Unfortunately, **The Endless One** opens with many of those same patterns repeating themselves. Plans go disastrously wrong, mistakes are made, and while none of it was particularly surprising, it was often frustrating to watch the characters continue making decisions rooted in overconfidence.
For that reason, the first 75% of the book felt slower and more aggravating than exciting for me. I found myself waiting for the characters to finally learn from the lessons that had already been laid out in previous installments.
Thankfully, the final quarter of the book delivered.
Once the story reaches its climax, the pacing picks up considerably, the stakes feel real, and the emotional payoff begins to land. The battles, sacrifices, and final confrontations gave me much of what I'd been hoping for throughout the rest of the novel. Jessamine fully embraces her role as the Gravesinger, and seeing her stand against powers far greater than herself made for a satisfying conclusion.
I also continue to enjoy the romance between Jessamine and Elric. Elric remains the protective, utterly devoted shadow god that readers have loved throughout the series, and his unwavering devotion to Jessamine was one of the highlights of the book for me.
**Tropes & Themes:**
✨ Coven of Witches
✨ Gods & Goddesses
✨ Death & Rebirth
✨ Reclaiming a Kingdom
✨ Divine Wars
✨ Dark Magic
✨ Protective Shadow God MMC
✨ Powerful, Vengeful FMC
✨ High-Stakes Fantasy
Overall, while I struggled with much of the first three-quarters of the story, the ending ultimately redeemed the book enough for me to walk away satisfied with the trilogy as a whole. It wasn't my favorite installment in the series, but it wrapped up Jessamine's journey in a way that felt earned and emotionally impactful.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5

This year has been great for readers! There are sooo many books coming out that are the next or final installment in bestselling series. I'm in the middle of a few series (27 isn't that many, right?!), and I couldn't wait to bring that number down.
If you've been thinking about finishing The Gravesinger Series by Emma Hamm, this is your sign!
This book doesn't hold back; it opens with a high-action scene, and the pace doesn't let up until the final page. I'm continuously impressed with the author's ability to pack a full story into 300 pages. I think it can be difficult to write a well-developed fantasy world, intricate plot, and character growth with limited pages, but Emma Hamm pulls it off!
I also like how this series continues to embrace female rage. It's refreshing to read about a strong female character who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to take it. I also like how much the main character, Jessamine, has grown throughout the series. Jessamine has always tried to do what she thinks is best for her people, but it isn't until this book that she gains the confidence in herself and her allies to be the figurehead her kingdom needs.
Next, I have to talk about the romance. I don't mind spicy scenes in books (Phantasma and A Court of Silver Flames cured me of that), but this book brings the heat. Unfortunately, some of the scenes made me squirm, and I thought their timing was less than ideal. That said, I still like Jessamine and Elric together, and I'm happy that this book wraps up their relationship arc in a satisfactory way.
My only other complaint is that there are at least two scenes where the main characters could have stopped the villain but chose to wait or let him go. Jessamine and Elric claim it's because they want the villain to fear looking over his shoulder, but I personally don't agree with that rationale. It allows the villain to continue torturing and killing innocent people, which is everything Jessamine and Elric stand against.
While I didn't like this book quite as much as the first two in the series, I still think it is a good way to finish Jessamine and Elric's story. I like how The Endless One embraces female rage, positive character growth, and tells a fast-paced plot in around 300 pages. Overall, I'm rating this book 3.25 stars.
I received an ARC of The Endless One courtesy of the author's team; all opinions are my own.

Actual rating: 4.5/5 stars.
This book was almost perfect for me. It fit in great with the rest of the trilogy and was full of that divine feminine rage I have loved so much in the first two volumes. It had quotes that hit like a truck, men taking a backseat for the incredibly strong women in their lives, vindicated revenge, and so much more. I actually had finished the second book just last week, realized I could get an advance copy in exchange for a fair review, and ate it up. I am obsessed with this story from the first book and was confident I'd be a fan throughout the trilogy. I'm glad to say that Hamm did not disappoint in her final volume. This book brought me to tears at some points and had me cheering for our heroes at others. It had me engrossed the entire way through.
Now, the reason for the .5 deduction: The ending feels quite rushed. The majority of the book is spent with the main characters preparing themselves for the final fight - and justly so - but unfortunately, when that final fight happens, the enemies no longer felt like a threat. Additionally, bad guys just appeared to be fought that unfortunately did not have enough buildup or impact in their appearance. I also would love to see more character development for the bad guys - they certainly don't need to become good at the end, but if more time was spent with them so that we could understand why they are the way that they are, it could have been a much more fulfilling experience. This book continues the perspective shift every chapter found in the first two volumes, between Jessamine and Elric, but I honestly feel this one in particular could have benefited greatly if other perspectives were added to the mix, too. I also have to say that I did find the ultimate ending predictable, although how we got there was the main pleasure of the journey in reading the book, and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. This series was my first experience with Hamm as an author and it absolutely is encouraging me to go give some of her other books a try. The Gravesinger series stayed strong until the end and is one I will be recommending and rereading for years to come.

Okay, The Endless One really had me in my feelings. 🥲🖤 There’s something about stepping back into The Gravesinger world that makes it very easy to get completely swept up in the story.
I loved the darker atmosphere of this one. There’s this constant feeling that something bigger is happening beneath everything, and I really enjoyed the mystery surrounding it. The story has that lovely combination of magic, danger, emotion and characters who seem to be carrying far more than they're willing to say.
The character moments were definitely a highlight for me. I found myself getting attached to the relationships and the emotional tension, especially when things became more complicated. There were definitely moments where I wanted to reach through the page and tell everyone to please just communicate for five minutes. 😂🖤
I also really enjoyed the themes of fate, death and the choices characters make when they're faced with things that feel bigger than themselves. It gave the story a heavier emotional edge without taking away from the fantasy adventure.
There were a few places where I felt certain parts could have been explored a little more, particularly some of the character and story development. For me, that kept it from reaching five stars, but I still found myself invested in the overall journey and curious about where everything was heading.
By the end, I was sitting there with that very specific reader feeling of:
“Well… I have several emotions now and absolutely no idea what to do with them.” 😂🖤
Overall, The Endless One was an atmospheric and emotional addition to The Gravesinger series. If you enjoy darker fantasy, supernatural elements, complicated relationships, mystery and a healthy dose of emotional suffering, this one definitely has plenty to offer.

He’s far better than you. I’ve never felt the need to hit him with a lamp.
~
You are a blessing and a curse because I would give up everything I am just to spend our last day together in the light.
~
You’ll find someone who looks at you like that. And if he doesn’t? Leave him. He’s not good enough for you.
~
Emma truly gave Jessamine and Elric and the coven the perfect ending. Make no mistake, it was not an easy journey and I was crying and I was angry and my heart was pounding throughout most of this book in the best way, but we got there. And these quotes? I tabbed SO many but these made me laugh and/or really hit home, something Emma is so damn good at. I found myself so absorbed in the story itself and the further I got into it, the less I wanted to give you any inkling of a spoiler because you need to enjoy this one going in blind (but there are some hints in the other books!), so you get me rambling and emotional instead. And by emotional I mean I had the biggest smile on my face as I read the last lines and also stared vacantly for a few moments because I can’t believe the Gravesinger series is over. I adored all the new mythology and information about the gods and original covens in this book, and was so inspired by Jessa’s sheer will and determination to fight for those she loves. Her and Elric truly go through it but I will never not smile at those two, because he truly looks her at like she hung the stars and it is conveyed in every moment we get inside his head. And have I mentioned how much I love Sybil before? Because I really, really do. Her and all the other witches, and I loved getting to learn even more about them as we made our journey to the final battle. Another masterpiece by Emma, truly!

★★★★☆
A really satisfying conclusion to the trilogy.
Unlike the previous book, this one wastes almost no time getting into the action. The stakes finally feel as big as they were always supposed to be, and I loved watching Jessamine fully become the Gravesinger we have been building toward since book one.
Her character arc is easily one of my favorite things about this series. She has come such a long way from the sheltered princess we first met, and this book really embraces her anger, power, and willingness to fight for what she wants. The feminine rage throughout this trilogy reaches its peak here, and it was incredibly satisfying.
I also loved Elric and Jessamine together. Their relationship is intense and probably a little dangerously codependent, but at this point that is part of their charm. His absolute devotion to her combined with everything we learn about his family and the gods gave his character much more emotional depth.
The coven and the larger mythology were great as well, although I honestly would have loved even more time with some of the side characters.
My biggest issue was the ending. After so much preparation and buildup, I expected the final confrontation to feel a little longer and more difficult. Some conflicts were resolved faster than I expected, and a few of the characters' mistakes felt frustratingly familiar after book two.
Still, emotionally, the ending worked for me. It gave Jessamine and Elric a conclusion that felt deserved and brought the themes of love, death, sacrifice, and power together nicely.
Not a perfect trilogy, but definitely its strongest ending.

The Gravesinger #3
One phrase: she’s ready to kill a god 🖤⚔️
This was such a satisfying conclusion to The Gravesinger trilogy.
Jessamine has survived betrayal, death, and the gods, but now she has to reclaim her throne, stop a tyrant, and face the man who once murdered her.
Only this time, she is not the innocent bride who fell.
She is the Gravesinger.
I had so much fun with this series. Is it the most polished fantasy ever? No. Did I enjoy every bit of watching Jessamine become an absolute force while Elric, her devoted deathless shadow daddy, stood beside her? Absolutely.
The ending felt earned, the HEA was satisfying, and I loved the themes of life, death, power, sacrifice, and duality woven through the series.

📝 ARC Review: This is the final book in the Gravesinger Trilogy. I loved book 1, but book 2 was very disappointing for me and I was hoping book 3 would be a glorious comeback.
While I was quite pleased with how this book ended and enjoyed the final 25% of the story, the first 75% left me just as disappointed as book 2 did. My main issue was the arrogance of the MC's, which came out in book 2, thinking they were above anything or anyone being able to stop them, even though that obviously wasn't true. And so we start book 3 off with them once again thinking they've got everything figured out and are unstoppable, but their plans go horribly awry because of their arrogance. It really wasn't shocking, just aggravating to see more of the same mistakes they made in book 2 resurfacing in this conclusion. But like I said, the very end of the book was pretty great!

I started this series literally last week on a whim because I kept seeing the author's TikTok videos. Is this the most well-written series known to man? No. But I genuinely had so much fun with it, enough that I'm definitely buying the whole trilogy as physical copies.
If you've made it this far, I won't rehash the whole series, but this book picks up with a time skip from the last book. The Coven is hunting down the main villain of the series from the start, and chaos (in the worst way) ensues. Nothing in this book (for me) surprised me. I'd called the twist from the very first book with some of the plot stuff that had been going on, but it was so satisfying to see my theory turn out right, especially when it felt like it had been steadily built up with lots of good context clues throughout to point to this direction. I loved the ending. It wasn't super sad, and there weren't any insane characters deaths or plot twists, but it was satisfying and nice to see the "happily ever after" of it all.
If you're into a soft fantasy with romance, cool characters who stay pretty true to their selves, and just wanna watch a gal beat the shit out of someone who is awful while her hot BF watches, I'd recommend it.

Honestly this was probably always going to be a 5 star review for me. I had the book preordered before I got the ARC-but thank you to NetGalley and for allowing me to read this early I am deeply grateful . This is likely my favorite Romantacy series of the year if not one of my favorites in general.
From the start both Elrick and Jessamine have had reasons to not trust other people, especially each other. Yet thankfully for us they do choose to trust each other and work with each other over and over. I like a book boyfriend (sorry male main character) who can take charge protect and care for the female/other lead character. But for me there is something near intoxicating to have main characters that need each other and know they need to work together to reach their goal. I won’t lie the fact that Elric worships Jessamine as his goddess is really all I need to make me happy.
If you have read the first two then you absolutely should read the last one it is completely worth it and for me it was a pretty quick read. If you haven’t read them go read or listen to the audiobooks right now. There is a partnership, romance, good secondary characters (love Sybil and Agnes and a revenge plot for good measure. I do think the cover is my least favorite of the three but the ending makes up for that. A Great Series, I will always highly recommend it to anyone who will listen, except my work book club, it is definitely NSFW!

Unfortunately, this one just did not work for me.
I actually really enjoyed The Heartless One, especially the second half. It gave that completely obsessed, devoted, I will get on my knees and beg for your forgiveness if it means you’ll allow me to breathe the same air as you kind of energy.
My favorite. 😂
So I really thought I was going into the final book ready to be invested.
Instead, I struggled to get through it.
Some of that could absolutely have been me in a slump.. I never reached the point where the story pulled me back in. And I think a huge part of that for me was the third-person POV.
Technically we’re following both main characters, but I never felt like their perspectives had distinct enough voices. Their internal dialogue started to feel almost interchangeable. Both were constantly questioning themselves, tearing themselves down, deciding they didn’t deserve something…and then immediately talking themselves back around into actually, yes, maybe I do deserve this.
Over and over.
Instead of making me feel more connected to both characters, it had the opposite effect. Neither POV felt uniquely theirs, and eventually they almost started to feel like the same character to me.
By the end I was so disconnected that I couldn’t even tell you half of what happened.

🌟✨ The Endless One is a fierce and mesmerizing tale of resilience, love, and divine rebellion. Jessamine's story is one of survival against all odds, she's survived betrayal, death, and even gods themselves! 💔🔥 Her kingdom may be in ruins, and her throne stolen, but her spirit remains unbreakable. 👑💪
I was completely captivated by Jessamine’s transformation from an innocent bride to the formidable Gravesinger. Her courage to face ancient powers and betrayals kept me turning pages late into the night! 🌙💖 The romance with Elric, the god who loves her, adds such a tender yet powerful layer to her journey, it's a love that’s both divine and dangerous. 💘⚡
The story's blend of myth, magic, and fierce determination is utterly enchanting. Jessamine’s choice to confront gods and decide how much of herself she’s willing to sacrifice is truly inspiring. 🌺🔥 This book is perfect for anyone who loves strong heroines, epic battles, and a touch of divine rebellion.
Prepare to be swept away, because Jessamine is not just ready to kill a man... she's ready to kill a god. And I couldn’t be more here for it! 🌟

My main issue was the arrogance of the MC’s, which came out in book 2, thinking they were above anything or anyone being able to stop them, even though that obviously wasn’t true. And so we start book 3 off with them once again thinking they’ve got everything figured out and are unstoppable, but their plans go horribly awry because of their arrogance. It really wasn’t shocking, just aggravating to see more of the same mistakes they made in book 2 resurfacing in this conclusion. But like I said, the very end of the book was pretty great!

This is the epic conclusion to the Gravesinger trilogy. These books should not be read out of order.
Gravesinger/witch Jessamine and the deathless god Elric, with the help of the coven they’ve created, are trying to stop a tyrant from summoning the God King.
I liked this book. It hits a lot of the big romantasy tropes, with a devoted shadow daddy MMC and an FMC who is a force of nature. Both MC had huge growth arcs over the series transforming greatly from book one to three. Plot-wise, it was kind of a wild ride. A lot happened, with complicated magic and plot lines, but once I was about 30% in, I was pretty wrapped up in the story and remembered what had happened in the previous books. Beyond the romance and magic, I loved how much this series played with themes of duality, especially life and death. There were a lot of themes I personally connected with.
Overall, this was a satisfying conclusion to a pretty eventful trilogy.

One of my most anticipated books is here, and it was glorious! The Endless One was beautifully brutal. I was on the edge of my seat from the first page. Jessamine and Elric are perfect together. Yes, they were dangerously codependent, but who doesn't love that obsessive, all-consuming type of love? He supported her every step of the way, and she protected him with her every breath. Yesss! I loved it.
I devoured this book. There was a nod to one of my favorite Greek myths, which was unexpected but more than welcome. The magic was epic. Spells, elemental powers, different realms—it was very witchy. And the gods... There was way more of Elric's family, and the more I learned, the more my heart went out to him. This was a revenge plot for not just Jessamine but for him too. The plot kept me on my toes, and at one point I even shed tears I was totally unprepared for. What I was ready for was Jess and her vengeance. Those final scenes were everything.
This series was epic! The Endless One was a perfect ending to Jessamine and Elric's story. I give it a ten out of ten.

“So what kind of god do you want to be now, Elric? What kind of god do you want your people to see?” “One worthy of her.”
Revenge. That was my first takeaway diving into this. Granted, this is the third and final book, and I missed the first two. I felt like I picked up in the heat of it all. It was intense and fast paced. But it turned into so much more than revenge. I watch two people become who they were always destined to be. And it was beautiful. I can’t say what I really want because it will definitely be a spoiler, just know that the Jessamine arc warmed my soul. I felt like I had enough information without reading the first two books to understand the depth and scale of the evolution that takes place. However, I do want to go back for the first two. This is so well written and I love emotional books so I have a feeling I’ll just get more of that with the backstory.
If you’re into dark romantasy, feminine rage, witches, gods, betrayal, death, and retribution, I’d say pick this up!
Thank you to Gallery Books and Emma for the gifted paperback ARC!

The Endless One by Emma Hamm is the perfect final book to The Gravesinger series. I loved that we jumped straight into the action and picked up right where the second book left off. The pacing felt just right for a finale, with a steady build toward the final showdown without feeling rushed.
I absolutely love the side characters—especially the coven. I wish we had gotten even more time with them. They brought so much to the story.
To me, this series leans more romance than fantasy, but I love the romance. Who doesn’t want a god who would do absolutely anything for you?! ❤️🥵 But even with the focus on romance, the world Emma created, with its gods, witches, and magic, is perfect for Romantasy lovers.
If you’ve read the first book or the first two books, you should to pick up this one. It’s a fitting conclusion to the series and one I’m glad I got to read.
Thank you to Gallery Books for providing me with this ARC. All opinions are my own.

I am always conflicted when I come to the end of an Emma Hamm series. I am thrilled to reach their hard won happily ever after. But, in the same breath, i am going to miss Eric and Jessamine. This book is everything I hoped it would be. So worth the read. The world build is amazing. The characters are amazing. The storyline is amazing. Seriously. Good Stuff.

Emma Hamm is an author I’ve been familiar with since reading the first two books in the Gravesinger series, and I’ve appreciated the creativity she brings to the gothic romantasy niche.
That said, as I was reading The Endless One, I realized that this particular story and style didn’t seem to be quite the right fit for me anymore. I found myself struggling to connect in the way I had in the first book, and ultimately, like the second one, this one wasn’t able to pull me in.
What I loved: the unique take on witches, magic, gods, and death. The MMC being devoted and protective of the FMC throughout the series. The conclusion of the series ultimately was a good one.
What I didn’t love: the slow repeat of themes from Book 2.
Thank you for the opportunity to read and review! The opinions expressed here are mine based on an eARC I received!

This book along with the other 2 in the Grave Singer Series are beyond amazing! This book was an excellent conclusion to the story of Jessamine and Elrick. Wonderfully written! The series is spicy but it’s more of a slow burn and a lot of yearning. But once the spice gets going it’s intense!
The character of Jessamine means a lot to my wife. My wife had a near death experience just before reading this the first book. Reading about Jessamine’s death and later resurrection was very meaningful.
I can’t say enough good things about this series. It’s spicy, a little dark, and the plot is excellent! I really felt like I was in the world and that I really understood the characters.
My favorite quote from this book is “it’s ok to break, as long as you don’t stay broken”. Jessamine went through it but she came out the other side every time! Very meaningful and inspiring.

In the final installment of The Gravesinger trilogy, Jessamine, Elric, and their coven look to retake her kingdom and banish the resurrected gods.
This was such a solid conclusion to the series. I adored Jessamine in this. She really comes into her own, finding her powers and her place in the world. As always, Elric is perfect. You do get an amazing shadow daddy scene between the two of them that I was so excited for when it started. The world that Hamm build is one that you get swept away in. There are so many layers to it with the witches and gods. This is a great romantasy series for anyone who wants to read one that's not your typical world.
The audio was fantastic. I adore Kelsey Navarro Foster in this series.

A nice wrap up
This series was a nice surprise. I started reading Deathless One because the Aurora Crate special edition was so pretty, and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. I do find the magic to be confusing, but I really love the dynamic between Elric and his coven, as well as Jessamine's growth over the course of the series.
Elric is not your typical MMC. He was made to feel small and worthless and lesser, and the scars from that linger, even after millenia. His respect and care for his witches was also very unusual. He let them do terrible things to him, and that, too, left their marks, but he did it anyway.
Definitely a unique take on gods and worship and power. Now that it's completed, you'll have a good time reading from start to finish.

"You are allowed to grow and change. You are allowed to see that you had done something wrong, and that you aren't proud of who you once were. [...] So what kind of god do you want to be now, Elric? What kind of god do you want your people to see?"
If I were to describe The Gravesigner Series in 3 phrases it would be: Found family, character development, and humanity. This was an ideal conclusion to this series.
Jessamine being feral as hell and Elric, Sybil, and the rest of the coven cheering her on! I don't want to spoil anything because there are definitely some unpredictable things that happen, but Elric, I love you and you're perfect.
I am not really ready to leave this world that Emma Hamm has created, but I am so happy that I read this series.
