Right away, it annoyed me that this was just far enough in the past to make the technology a stumbling block for me. Making a video on VHS, really? How quaint. And then there's the whole issue of my skepticism about any politician deciding to rat out his coconspirators and not considering that they would have him whacked! And how about the best assassin in the world who keeps getting beat by an old man in a wheelchair and a suicidal accountant. Oh, and the accountant just happens to spot his long lost daughter at one of the busiest airports in the world and she is the fiancé of the assassin. The shame is that I like the opening chapter and then it just went downhill and I couldn't stop reading it but I couldn't wait to finish.

A tale of a Government run amok. Corruption, murders, cover ups. Just like today, I could see this happening for real.

This wasn't a bad book - but it was a very predictable read. It's a case of your classic political/murder thriller - only not done very well. I wouldn't waste your time . . . there's a lot better books in the genre.

Potential, but fell way short. Some of characters were laughable. I mean a mean ol killer getting jumped by a middle-aged travelling salesmen then gets taken out rather easy? Yeah - so, 2 stars is for the effort and the potential.
