There’s a new mystery to solve, and another bad guy to catch, which means another chance to earn some redemption points. My name is Izzy Cooper, and I’m a fallen angel, though I’d really like to drop the fallen part off my title. That’s why I joined the Monster Squad. The timing couldn’t have been worse. I had him exactly where I wanted him. He was ready to fall to his knees and beg my forgiveness. Just as he got to the point that he couldn’t take it anymore, I planned to hit him with a massive dose of revenge, but then the call came in. The nude and mutilated body of a young witch is discovered in a dingy alley. Trouble was back, and it was back with a vengeance.
Kendra loves theme parks, tropical islands, and the sea. When she isn’t busy writing her next adventure, she likes going to the drive-in movies with her kids, camping, long road trips, and watching The Walking Dead. You might run into Kendra at Disneyland, or possibly New Orleans, especially around Halloween. She’ll probably be listening to Guns -n- Roses, and eating Gumbo. Slash is the best!
A good book in a promising series, but I'm getting leary of these incomplete ends. It's only a minor complaint. It's kind of like Lost...there are more questions than answers. It's really only an issue for me because I'm just getting to know the authors tone, which I think is important when delving into an open ended series. And the commonly used historical figure that entered into this part of the story disappointed me. But that's more of a personal irritation, not really criticism of the story itself.
I loved book one and her boyfriend from high school. He just disappeared in book two. I'm very disappointed as his character is why I read book 2. Then the "cliffhanger" at the end. Oh please, I'm sick of that affectation. I just don't want to read book 3 unless the werewolf is brought back. What's wrong with the heroine! She must be a complete dolt. Anyway I'm angry enough now to just delete these two books and go to a different author.
Way better editing than book 1. This series has gotten soooo good with the addition o Zane and the reappearance of Jasper (gag). Izzy sure has her hands full dealing with these men. I never saw the twist in this one coming. It left me with my jaw on the floor. I'm eager to see what Izzy gets herself into next and where Kendra takes us. She can definitely count me among her potential fans. On to book 3!!
I feel the first book was better. Don't get me wrong I like this book but it just seemed to have an abrupt ending. With the way the book was going I was sure it would have been longer. I love the story line and will continue to read this series. I just hope the next book goes into the ending better than this one did.
I don't think I've ever suffered thru a more poorly written book in my life!!! Punctuation was ridiculous along with mixing "wasn't" when it should have been "was". I spent so much time trying to figure out what a sentence should have said versus what it did that the story was ruined for me.
Wow!!! Izzy sure ends up in some weird situations. She should also probably learn to not be so trusting. With the way things are going the cliffhanger ending fits this book.
