Things are heating up! More and more information is revealed. Tristan is taking up and wielding his mantle of power. His tribe continues to grow. He’s having dreams of a past life and now he’s finding it harder and harder to resist the pull to claim Ushna in all ways. He has to keep fighting his beast refusing to keep Ushna from his Twin Flame, Brian, in the next life. But all is not what it seems and there’s a prophecy to explore.
This series is so good and it just keeps getting better. This one was super emotional too. Moving on to the next...

2.5 Hearts
Objectively speaking (or at least my attempt at objectivity) if you enjoy MPREG, you'll probably enjoy this installment. I, on the other hand, do not enjoy MPREG. I like smut and adventure, both of which are woefully lacking in this installment. THEY DON'T EVEN BANG IN THIS ONE! NOT ONCE! This is precisely why I don't like the pregnancy plot twist in my reads, not even my M/F reads. Once somebody gets knocked up there goes all the smut. Right out the window.
In this installment Tristan is even more of a delicate flower and because he's hormonal he gets treated with kid gloves. By everyone. Oodles of pregnancy talk/woes/bitching permeate book 3, none of which was interesting in the slightest. Tristan's beast keeps trying to unleash and he keeps it leashed for fear of harming the pups, though that doesn't stop "the beast" from rising to the surface every 15 minutes or so, usually snarling or growling or some such thing. Tristan begins having dreams which morph into nightmares involving a triad and the tribe continues to expand. There were a couple of interesting plot twists, though I'm not sure those will be enough to motivate me to continue with this series.
Overall, I'm still not on the Tristan bandwagon and I'm actually thinking his temperament is ill-suited for leadership but he seems to be adjusting well to motherhood/parenting. He'll be that crazy parent in the stands at the peewee games yelling at the other kids for not stepping up like his baby or he'll use "the voice" and have everyone within a 5 mile radius kneeling in supplication.
Like I said previously, had I known in advance MPREG was on the horizon I wouldn't have requested these to review, but here we are nonetheless. Again, this series is not my cuppa but many others will enjoy it.

There’s one aspect of this story that’s driving me crazy. I’m hoping for a certain outcome but don’t know if I’m going to get it. The story is fantastic and the writing is phenomenal.

Just like the two previous books in this series, this third novel is a fantastic blend of old Sumerian legends and lycan lore, freely intermixed with Lexi Ander's more than fertile imagination. The plot, as they say, thickens, and as annoying as it was to end up with more questions than answers, it only made me like the series more. Some of the revelations about Tristan's past made me worry even more about what may be coming, and quite a few of the hints of which other parties are involved in this epic power struggle upgraded the scale of the battle from "huge" to "gigantic" for me.
Tristan is learning to deal with being pregnant, and I loved the scenes where he notices some of the changes and deals with the cravings. His need to still protect everyone gets in the way a few times, but Ushna is right there to help and support. Tristan finally acknowledges that Ushna is his as much as he is Ushna's, and yet, the dreams of "the forgotten", men he half-remembers tell him there is a lot more to what is going on than is visible on the surface.
Ushna is an amazing partner. Protective and loving, he continues to be exactly what Tristan needs. Despite the fact that he lost his Twin Flame, or maybe because of it, he is so close to Tristan, and clearly loves him so much, that I cannot help but wonder how in the world this basic contradiction is going to be solved. Twin Flames seem to be so important, yet Tristan totally betrayed him to the point he separated himself for eternity, and Ushna loves Tristan so much in this life, how can he possibly be asked to take a different lover, his "real" Twin Flame in his next incarnation?
In the end there is an answer to some of the most burning questions, but it is only a partial one. Part of me hated that because I want to know now, but part of me loved it because it makes this whole series of stories better. I've said it before and I have to repeat it: this series keeps amazing me. An intriguing mix of epic fantasy and paranormal drama, it stretches into an inventive, new world with its own rules. Rules that are still emerging! I thoroughly enjoyed this third installment and am looking forward to reading the fourth (which is already waiting for me on my hard drive).
If you like ancient legends, if you enjoy creative tales with a significant level of secrecy, revelations and more questions than you thought were possible, and if you're ready to live alongside the main characters as they try to figure out what is going on and how to keep their family safe, then you need to read this book. I am more enthralled than ever!

His need to still protect everyone gets in the way a few times, but Ushna is right there to help and support. Tristan finally acknowledges that Ushna is his as much as he is Ushna's, and yet, the dreams of "the forgotten", men he half-remembers tell him there is a lot more to what is going on than is visible on the surface.

I liked this installment of the series. I was so gratified to see how the author is handling the mpreg no idealistic, rosy picture of pregnancy, and I appreciated that. I liked that Tristan is not having an easy go of it, and chafes under the constant protection and scrutiny of Ushna and his people. I liked Tristan's reaction to his former partner's children, and how he takes them into his heart no matter how he felt about their father. I also liked how the conflict between one of the children and a couple of older boys was handled. It had a maturity to it that made it clear that Tristan was trying to be a good, and fair leader. I liked how hard he tried to listen to, and understand other people, and he didn't just make rash decisions based on hurt feelings and quick judgments. I think it shows growth in this series, and made it my favorite book in the series so far. It's so refreshing to see adults trying to act like adults and not children. Tristan is far from perfect, but he's trying, and that makes all the difference. The subplot between the Griffin and Tristan's horse never fails to make me smile.

I am a HUGE fan of Tristan and Ushna's and it was lovely to see them back in Dreams of the Forgotten. A lot of development here in this third installment of the Sumeria's Sons series. It’s only been a couple months since all hell broke loose in Tristan Janick’s life. Now he’s the lost prince of the Lycan race, married to his best friend even though they’re not Twin Flames, responsible for hundreds of Lycans where his pack used to only consist of he and Ushna, his magic is growing, the current political structure of the Lycan race is crumbling, and to top it all off, he now has about seven weeks until he delivers the twins. His back hurts, he’s always hungry, his mood changes with the wind, and his beast is forced to the forefront more often than usual. But strangest of all are the dreams.
The dreams of Twin Flames, Nakita and Angelo, and of Seth and his deceitful Twin Flame hit closer to home than Tristan would have expected. In his dreams, he is Seth and Nakita and Angelo are trying to convince him to claim them, that they belong together. But when he wakes, Tristan is only able to remember bits and pieces of the dreams. He feels the dreams are significant in some way, but he keeps what he does remember and his urgent feelings about he dreams from Ushna in hopes that they are simply dreams.
In the meantime, Jory and Stan, two of Tristan, Ushna, and Gregori’s best friends, show up on the ranch only to reveal an hidden animosity that may tear the five apart before they can even be reunited. With so many people coming to the ranch and joining the pack, Tristan has to keep a close inner circle that he trusts. He wants to add Jory and Stan to the group, but maybe too much time has passed to pick up where they left off.
A trip to Georgia, the hub of the Lycan world, is being planned before the babies are born to take care of Tristan’s ex’s estate, which was left in his control, and to address the Lycan Council, to reveal his rightful place as future king. Before they can leave, security measures have to be set in place. The longer it takes to keep them safe, the more activity floods the ranch. Missing lycans, Theo’s children, assassins, a new legion of warriors, mysterious magical rings, new enemies, and a group of new Magi all add to a growing list that Tristan must take care of with Ushna’s help.
Protecting his family and his pack is his priority, but his destiny is calling and if he doesn’t listen he may end up losing it all.
Yay! I love this series. I’m so excited to dive back into Tristan’s world and his mind. Dreams of the Forgotten is the third book in Lexi Ander’s Sumeria’s Sons series. And this entire series has kept me on the edge of my seat since the beginning, and by the end of each book I just want more.
Like the previous two books in this series, Dreams of the Forgotten is fast paced, full of intensity, and full of information. A lot happens in this book, some things are resolved within these pages and others are certain to be resolved in future installments. More questions have been added, secrets I never saw coming are revealed, new enemies are discovered, and new allies are welcomed. It’s an exciting ride from beginning to end.
I still love Tristan. He’s stronger than ever, more determined to protect his family. He’s far from selfish. He’s caring and open. He leads with a strong hand, but is compassionate. He’s always willing to listen to those he loves and trusts for their opinion. His love and desire for Ushna have not swayed. Ushna is still Tristan’s rock. He’s still the quiet strength behind the ruler. He’s got the patience of a saint and the biggest heart of all. We see a lot of Ushna in this story and I really like that. We finally get his take on his lost Twin Flame and how it relates to his relationship with Tristan. I’m loving the development of both characters as well as their relationship.
As with every installment in this series, the world that Ander has created continues to grow and expand by leaps and bounds. It’s an interesting world with new races and factions added to the works. Magic continues to grow and make its mark in this story. New and strange magic is discovered and tested. And make no mistake; everything that is revealed within this story and the previous ones has meaning – hidden or otherwise.
My only complaint, without giving too much away, is the one thing I’ve wanted to happen from book one has finally shown promise, but it still hasn’t come to pass. If you’ve been reading the series, you probably know what I’m talking about, and if you don’t, you will when you read it. I have hope that it finally happen in the next installment.
Dreams of the Forgotten has proved to be a wonderful addition to an already exciting and entertaining series. If you’ll recall, Ander’s Sumeria’s Sons series was one of my series of 2012 and, with this book, it continues to remain one of my favorites. This story is jam-packed full of fun and excitement. I look forward to continuing the adventure that this story has proven to be. I highly recommend Dreams of the Forgotten by Lexi Ander.

This cover by Lee Tiffin is my favorite of the covers so far. First of all, Tristan is more beautiful on this cover than he has been on the previous covers (maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones), and Ushna is so sexy with less of a scowl. I won’t give away the secret of the third person on the cover, but all of it together makes for a mysterious, beautiful cover.

Twin Flames seem to be so important, yet Tristan's totally betrayed him to the point he separated himself for eternity, and Ushna loves Tristan so much in this life, how can he possibly be asked to take a different lover, his "real" Twin Flame in his next incarnation?
In the end there is an answer to some of the most burning questions, but it is only a partial one. Part of me hated that because I want to know now, but part of me loved it because it makes this whole series of stories better. I've said it before and I have to repeat it: this series keeps amazing me. An intriguing mix of epic fantasy and paranormal drama, it stretches into an inventive, new world with its own rules. Rules that are still emerging! I thoroughly enjoyed this third installment and am looking forward to reading the fourth (which is already waiting for me on my hard drive).
If you like ancient legends, if you enjoy creative tales with a significant level of secrecy, revelations and more questions than you thought were possible, and if you're ready to live alongside the main characters as they try to figure out what is going on and how to keep their family safe, then you need to read this book. I am more enthralled than ever!

In this third installment of the Sons of Sumeria series, Tristan is getting ever more pregnant and is now suffering (?) from dreams that seem so real. There is something he needs to do, or needs to know, or needs to remember but he just can’t get his head wrapped around it all. To make it more complicated, there are still threats to the pack and issues with Theo’s children and their father, Daniel.
Tristan pregnant is funny. He is crabby, bitchy, grumpy and hungry. Made me laugh. He does remain cloaked from the rest of the world, only a trusted members of the tribe knowing that he is pregnant. The illusion works unless he is touched. But within his inner circle, he is achy and aching for coffee. Poor man.
There is the arrival of Jory and Stan, friends from the past who show up unannounced, cause a little ruckus (go Ushna, damn!) and then turn out to be not as friendly as first appearance would think. Danger seems to be in every corner, from every angle. Theo’s children, neglected and abused, are taken in by Tristan and Ushna and another angle of the story is begun. Ira also, you want to just hug him.
Add in yet more and Neesie is caught making out on the porch. With Lonnie-Fucking-Fowler, no less, a no good from back home. Tristan can’t figure out what to do about him. “I’d gladly eat him but I doubt Neesie would forgive me.”. So much trouble for the pregnant Xenres.
My favorite character throughout this series has been Ushna. At one point Ushna is remembering his Twin Flame, Brian, who died when they were all children. He is missing Brian fiercely and when he says, “I want to know if I made him happy.” Oh Ushna, you break my heart. There is a point when Ushna’s “he said yes!” made me want to celebrate with him. This is a man who has been loyal and faithful and loves Tristan unconditionally. He’s also just the best and I want him happy. Get to it, Tristan.
This is a series that definitely needs to be read in order and not all questions are answered by the end of it. There are nine days left to the birth of the heirs to the Seat of Zeev, the Wolf Throne. Can’t wait to meet them.

I have mixed feelings about this book. The setting and world-building is awesome and well thought out.
But it's like reading a book in the Anita Blake series. It hashes out the minute details and completely disregards the more important ones by jumping several days ahead and focussing on an ever bigger baddy.
With all the guards you'd think they have things under control, but every bad guy seems to be able to walk right up to the front door...
Then there is the m-preg. Still hate that and it makes no sense to me at all that Tristan is the one pregnant, but okay. People treat him like he's made of glass. He's pregnant not terminally ill.
Despite the above rant, I did enjoy this story. Loved the previous life angle of the plot. Even if it was woefully underdeveloped in the whole of the story.
I'm hoping the author will not loose track of where the story is going by introducing many different angles and veering constantly of track. Otherwise this series is going to take many many many books to get anywhere.

Great addition to the series

This series gets better with every book.
As previously mentioned, I enjoyed the fact that Ushna and Tristan are not twin flames. They choose to be together which is a refreshing take on shifter life. I also like Tristan’s moral compass. He really fights with himself about claiming Ushna believing that it will affect him finding his twin flame in his next life. The looking into their past lives and the fact that they have been destined to choose each other is a plus.
The characters are well flesh out and have distinct personalities. Finding out who Randy actually is was great and I enjoyed the whole Randy and Justus storyline. Looking forward to seeing where the story will lead

This is book 3 in the Sumeria's Sons series and picks up a few days after the last book ends. I was hoping to have all of the questions I had from the previous two books answered. Instead I got even more intrigue and new characters added to the mix.
This book is longer than the first two and goes into even more Lycan lore and Sumerian mythology. The world building continues to be amazing, but I have to admit I got a little lost at times because so much was going on and I couldn't see how everything fit with the main plot in this book which was Tristan's dreams.
Tristan is about a month away from giving birth to his heirs and he's being bombarded with dreams about three mysterious men from the past. Who are these men and what impact will they have on Tristan and Ushna? Even though we find out who these men might be, I was still confused as to why that information helped Tristan make a decision about his future relationship with Ushna.
I don't want to give anything away so I'll just say that Tristan wanted to form a bond with Ushna, but stopped from doing it because Brian was Ushna's Twin Flame and Tristan didn't want to cause problems for Ushna when Brian and him met in another life.
But somehow, this isn't as much of a concern because of what everyone learns about Tristan's dreams. That's what's so confusing. We kept hearing about the consequences of binding himself with Ushna throughout books 1 & 2 and for most of this book. But somehow those consequences seem to change in the middle of this book. That was one of the inconsistencies that kept me from giving this book 5 stars.
The other reasons were due to the ongoing grammar and editing problems, and new developments concerning Justus. Justus is Theo's son and Tristan is his and his two sisters guardian. A disturbing set of events results in Tristan bringing the three pups to live with him at the ranch.
In book 2 Justus is eight years old, but in this book he's seven years old. That's not a major issue, but it still points to poor editing. The biggest issue I had concerned new information that was creepy and inappropriate IMO.
We learn that Justus is someone's Twin Flame. When I learned whose Twin Flame he was I immediately felt very uncomfortable. By the end of the book I was still uncomfortable even though the author tried to lessen the impact with IMO a weak explanation. The explanation was not enough to erase how creepy the pairing was IMO.
Other than those issues I really enjoyed this book. This book held my attention and I continue to love Tristan and Ushna's relationship together and with the people in their inner circle. Yes it ends like the other books with a cliffhanger and even more questions to answer. But hopefully everything will be resolved in book 4. I highly recommend this series.

As more factions come out of the woodwork, his ex-Twin Flames mate causing problems and the impending birth of his children, Tristan has to remember his dreams for him to find peace.
This is another exciting instalment of Sumeria’s Sons where more danger emerges, secrets are revealed and hopes are about to come true. Tristan and Ushna have a rapidly expanding tribe, their two childhood friends Stan and Jory are coming to the ranch and Tristan discovers his ex-Twin Flames children are being neglected. Ushna and Tristan have to pull together when the truth about Tristan’s dreams come out and Randy has a secret that shocks Tristan, more dangers come to light and Tristan has to face going back to Bahbelle to settle things with the council.
I found this to be an excellent addition to the series and it has answered some questions, but boy does it leave you with even more questions. Tristan and Ushna are a great couple and with us finally discovering, to a certain extent, the reasons behind Tristan’s dreams, it helps us understand the way the storyline has been crafted, although it also leaves us with more questions as well. When Stan and Jory arrive we discover that the plotting of other factions is more deeply woven than anyone realised, and as the story progresses hidden factions come to light which shocks the wolves. This is a wonderfully written story and each books flows into the next and although we do get a brief recount of sections of the previous book, I would recommend each book being read in order so this epic fantasy can be enjoyed in full without confusion.
I recommend this book to those that love fantasy, in-depth storylines, great characters, some sweet loving, twists, secrets, betrayal, danger and an ending that leaves you grinning.

Oh my GOD, WOW, I love this series. I laughed, cheered and cried my way though this third book in the Sumeria's Sons series. I swear this series gets better with every reading, don't get me wrong it was great to start with, now however it is wonderful. I can not wait for book 4, who am I kidding I just want Lexi to finish the whole series so I can read it and find out what happens!! I soooo want the bad guys to get what is coming to them and for Tristan and Ushna and everyone else to have their HEA.
I highly, highly, highly recommend this series, read it, you will not be disappointed!

I have to say that I was enthralled at book 3 in this series. The way the author makes unlikely happenings seem so believable is incredible and I found myself staying up late just so that I could read it even though it is difficult to do so on my laptop. I can't wait for book 4 to be released next month!

Oh my God! When is the next one coming out? I'm dying here. This was way more fascinating than the last, as well as heartbreaking. It made me so sad. Beautiful as well, even then. Ugh! Oh Brian. Again, I can't wait for the birth. You go Lexi!

I do not typically do reviews for books I give 4 stars, because +/- 1 star still puts it in "probably worth reading". I am going to list some thoughts on the ENTIRE series for future reference.
1st and foremost, I feel books 1 and 2 should have been combined into 1 book. Nearly all of my issues with book one would have been fixed if they were combined. It made so much more sense after finishing book 2. Plus, I think combined they would not have been longer than books 5 or 6. So... If you were not thrilled with book one, I highly suggest reading book 2 before deciding on giving up on the series. If 2 had not already been out, I might not have continued. I'm really glad to have read this entire series.
2nd, Unless you have a great memory, I highly suggest you read these back to back. The entire series is out. I felt it got mostly stronger as it went along.
(* Even reading back to back, due to the sheer number of characters plus characters with similarly spelled names, I was glad I was reading on my Kindle. It was easy to run a search for a name to be reminded of who they were etc...
3rd,I thought the progressions for the characters and the overall plot moved well. It never felt repetitive except where it should, like when reminding the reader what has happened previously.
4th, I really liked the concept of shifter cowboys.
5th,the world building was extremely strong.
6th, those that do not typically like m/m/m or mpreg, please consider giving this series a chance. It is not the main focus until really late in the series, and it is done really well. FYI, for me personally, I can take or leave either one. Not something I look for neither am I really opposed to it.
7th, I did think the proofing / editing seemed to be not as strong. I noticed my flow being disrupted more often, but never enough to hamper the enjoyment.
8th, I felt the final book wrapped up all major things and most minor things very well. It definitely ended on a HEA for our m/c's and most supporting characters too.
9th, the only thing that gave me pause in the whole series was the brother's storyline, especially in the last book. It wasn't poorly written or necessarily out of character, but I did think his twist could have been better supported or explained. To me, It did feel more conjured for the plot than organic, if that makes sense.
This was a really good series. That definitely should be read in order, and as mentioned earlier probably back to back. The plot never gets stale or meanders inappropriately. All central things are moved along well and tied up by the end. Well worth the read if you like shifters, mythology, royalty, epic adventures etc...

Another episodic ending. This series really reminds me more with each book of a serial drama on tv, in that you could pick it up to start anywhere but to really follow it you need to start on episode/book one and go to the end.
It's amusing to watch Tristan become more and more pregnant. But I'd really hoped the characters would've grown more, though I guess when you consider from book one to now it's been less than half a year so the growth shown is pretty reasonable for the amount of time and everything going on.

action packed, full of revelations, secrets, and drama. Each book leads me to want to read the next, but I almost feel it should have been one or two big books instead of several small ones. That aside, I really enjoyed it though the few errors I found frustrated me. There were more than should be for a good publisher.
There were a few disturbing developments but I went with the flow and I trust it'll be dealt with later.

The ending or the beginning?
I’m such a sucker for good endings and this one was wonderful. If I didn’t know there’s more to come and that it’ll get better I might have been satisfied with this. The cast of characters continues to grow I. This series adding more and more depth to the story. I’m loving it so much, the book hangover when I’m done with all six stories is going to be terrible in the best way.

Not a fan of MPreg (I didn't know there would be any before reading), not a fan of babies and pregnancy in books in general but there is some interesting ideas in these books so I'll keep reading. I miss the wild sex in the previous book though.
Tristan can be slightly annoying and closed-minded sometimes, I hope he'll be better in the next books.

Where to start
You know I’ve put this series on hold for quite awhile but as I’m reading this is why I love book series like this where the story isn’t short but also you get to watch the character you love grow and not just their story but them as individuals.
