Slammed: Overcoming Tragedy in the Wave of Grief

Rate this book
Chances are at some point of your journey you've been SLAMMED by one of life's unexpected tidal waves. Divorce, death, betrayal, injury, loss, and a host of other life-altering tragedies are the unanticipated storms that shake us to the core and often leave us drowning in the sea of despair, disillusionment, and devastation. Andrea Maher is very familiar with this scenario as she has been "slammed" several times. Andrea shares her personal journey through pain, loss, and shocking devastation, and she reveals how God has been faithful through it all. Andrea will encourage, inspire, and motivate you to remain calm and fearless as you move forward in your journey, relying solely on God's promises and proven character as you look for a greater purpose in the pain.

Just when you feel like you're doing everything backwards as a mom, you learn of and meet other moms who feel the same. BUT they've over come tough stuff, heartbreak, and even tragedy to rise above and encourage others. I had a chance to talk with Andrea over the phone and this lady is right on! I "slammed" down her book on a plane flight to Alaska in October 2016 and thank goodness I was sitting near the window so I could turn my head and wipe my tears intermittently.
