Well that was different. Not entirely what I expected but a hell of a fun ride nonetheless.
This story contains a good balance of plot, suspense, and sexy time. If the characters seeking help had simply been able to talk to one another then 'The Therapist' would have been out of a job. But sadly it seems some married couples lose that art of communication so its good to know there are other avenues to explore before throwing in the D-card. (Divorce not Dom, lol)
The main character, is a self-professed top, but other than helping others we are told that, not shown. By the end of the book, she agrees to submit, for the right guy of course. So essentially she's a switch.
Contains: maledom, femdom, anal play, a hot pegging scene. I personally don't find those things taboo in BDSM erotica, but realise others might, hence the series being named taboo.

Right guys this is a totally honest review with no spoilers well I will try not to and i needed more stars 5 is not enough : Everyone was ranting about 50 shades of Grey when it hit the stores well, You know the expression blow it out of the water, well this book just totally bombed it right out the pool,, seriously it is totally hot and steamy from the onset, with such descriptive scenes your there watching it all with the DR. The story of an incredibly strong woman who has just become a very different type of marriage counsellor\Therapist setting up her business, security is of the upmost importance for her business, unknowing to her it becomes her future in more ways than one, bringing her the one man that might just be able to make her submit, but also her saving her life!
This book has and amazing plot that unravels throughout, bringing you a depth that is lacking from many erotica books, it’s complex fast moving and totally rocks your world, word of warning do not read in public lol hope you all enjoy this book as much as I did. Melissa Bell we need this as a series!!

firstly I received this for my honest review. To start with we have all heard of Fifty Shades of Grey, maybe read it and even watched the film, I know I have and absolutely loved it. Well this is absolutely on a higher scale with a plot so different, intense, steamy, thrilling and with the most amazing descriptive scenes, you will be totally blown away, I know I was. This is about Deni who has been studying to become a therapist and run her own marriage counselling with a difference, by being hands on and actually the clients confidentiality and security is a the top of the list. She brings in a security firm to aid her and this is where Glenn Stone comes in and he actually gains more than they both bargained for. When the security is breached on her first night Glenn takes his alpha role to a whole new level, this story will grip and pull you in so much so you won't want to leave, with the intensity, the twists and the suspense you really won't want it to end. Melissa Bell you have done an amazing job on this book and I can't wait for the next one..........if I could give more than 5 stars this would get so many more.

Deni is a former mistress of a house of sin starting a new venture as a therapist, using her unique skills to help repair falling marrages. However with some security concerns for the clients it's Glenn 's job to keep his camera's and alarm working to protect the good doctor, although that's not all he wants!
This book is about sexual therapy, dom, relationships and a creepy stalker providing a good mystery to solve.
I just LOVED this book start to finish! With such deep characters that have a bad history the author has really created faciniting leading characters and great dynamics.
Different from the authors previous work but as always very well written, non repetitive, gripping, thrilling and a good mystery to solve.
Most importantly this book has a plot to go with the steamy scenes which so many other authors seem to forget!

I was not sure what to expect from this author as this is the first time I have read any of her work. Wow, she blew me away. Loved this book!
The main characters are Deni and Glen, and the chemistry is steaming. This story is an intriguing plot, with plenty of suspense, action, romance, and overall sexy. I was enthralled with this book from start to finish.
Will definitely be reading more of Melissa’s work in the future! Awesome job Melissa.

I thought this was a great book.
I felt like a voyeur experiencing the inner desires of others. Call me crazy, but I thought their realization of what they needed was beautiful. Marriage and sex therapy are, "green couch" settings. The author, in my opinion, makes it taboo by having the Doctor create scenes for her clients.

I was given this book as a gift. The first word that comes to mind is a big fat WOW!!!!! What a sensational read. It was hot without being overwritten. Fabulous storyline that took you in directions that kept you intrigued until the very end. It had the hotness, suspense and a bit of sass to make this book one hell of a read. Do yourself a favour, invest in Melissa Bell

The Therapist is yet another outstanding read from Melissa Bell, however this is something totally new from this author and I hope we get more of this style from her.
The Therapist is a hot steamy read with a stalker twist that will leave you guessing throughout the whole book.
I loved the main story about Dr Deni Mathews the strong female lead who has worked her way through University and paid by working in the house of sin and now opened her own Marriage counselling practice with hands on treatment, we learn her own fears, hopes and dreams.
The Therapist contains mini erotic stories based on the 4 couples each with different sexual needs. They were all hot chapters which held meaning and shown an end result. I loved all the couples and many people will relate to these situations.
Glenn Stone is a hot alpha male who runs the security system set up at Dr Mathews practice and gets a whole lot more than checking out the cameras.
The Therapist is a must read if you enjoy a book with a great twist, one that will make you laugh and contains very hot sexual scenes.

I am normally a PNR girl. But was given a copy of this to read for an honest review.
I have read 50 shades of grey and hated it ( like i said a PNR girl). But Melissa Bells The Therapist is hot and steamy in ALL the right places and has action and intrigue and romance in ALL the right places. Centered around Dr Deni Mathews are her clients, her past, her present and possibly her future. Can she fight her past to save her future?.. more to the point does she want to?. Loved this side of Melissa writing and look forward to reading more. The only issue i had was I didnt get to find out more with the backstory for Villainsand the why of their reasons ....She left me hanging!!!!!. Great book cant wait for me

I received this book free for an honest review. Wow. I was curious from the first page, drawn into the scene unaware. My heart racing as the pages turn and the story unfolds before me. Glen Stone is a security expert. His job is to keep Dr. Deni alive and unharmed. When he rescues her from a saferoom in the middle of the night, everything changes. This is no longer a job. He wants her heart and her complete surrender. Mystery, danger and passion surround Dr. Deni but Glen is the biggest threat to her heart. After all she doesn't have relationships, she fixes them.

I absolutely loved the direction this book went. It was such a change from the norm that is out there today, and was refreshing to read. I do wish we got more of a buold between her, and Glenn. Their relationship was a little to quick for me made it almost unrealistic, but it wasn't too bad. Also, the discovery of who her stalker was a little anticlimactic for me. Could have been a little more suspenseful. Overall a great read.
