Salvatore Agostino, captain in the Abruzzi crime family is also on his way to see Dane Reynolds. A ruthless businessman, he is fiercely loyal to his family and his men. A chance encounter brings him face to face with Emily.
These two meet and their attraction grows into a love that neither could have anticipated.
Will they be able to overcome the turmoil that awaits them or will their love be destroyed by forces beyond their control?

After her father dies, Emily Reynolds finds anger in her grief. Anger from the years she spent taking care of her alcoholic father after her brother left her. Leaving straight from the hospital she starts her journey to Tourmaline to confront her brother about why she was alone for so many years. But along the way she gets into an accident and needs the help of a good samaritan to get her the rest of the way. It doesn't hurt that he's very good looking either.
Salvatore Agostino is Captain in the Abruzzi crime family and was sent to Tourmaline to also talk to Emily's brother. The Abruzzi family runs guns on the East Coast and now they have problems with the Savage Angels MC who also wants the East territory. When he see's a car smashed against a tree he stops to help the girl and offers to take her the rest of the way. Once he see's Emily, though, he isn't ready to let her go.
I read Savage Stalker when it first came out last year but I didn't like it much and had some problems with it. I knew going into this that the authors writing style wasn't really for me but the damn blurb got my attention and I couldn't not read it. I was hoping that the overall story would be good for me and I could ignore the little things, but no luck.
The premise of Savage Fire is what got my attention but the story disappointed me. Emily was going to confront her brother about why he wasn't around when she was younger and had to deal with her alcoholic father. But once Sal got in the picture that was kind of put on the back burner and by the end of the book it wasn't really solved. It was explained a little more but Emily and Dane's relationship never seemed to get better or even worse.
The stories in this series have a lot of potential and I'm positive a lot of people will like them, and yay for them! But I don't think this author is for me anymore. The writing style just doesn't work for me so it makes it hard to read the books. The dialogue between characters reads as being really formal, like too formal, so it was a tad awkward to read. Most people don't talk that formally so to read a dialogue like that just didn't work for me. Also there are very many POV's used and for me that loses the main characters in all the other drama going on. By the middle of the book it seemed like every important club member or mafia family member was getting a POV but I didn't care about them so I didn't care about their views.
Emily and Sal's story, without all the other bullshit, was pretty okay and I like Sal and how invested he got into Emily. Overall though, the book didn't work for me. Yet again, the next book interests me but I'm not going to be the bitch that reads a book even though I know my review will most likely be negative. Happy reading to everyone else, though!
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN BOTH WORLDS COLLIDE AND CONNECT TO GET THE ONE GIRL THEY BOTH LOVE Emily Reynolds, estranged sister to Dane Reynolds CAN HER MANS LOVE AND SISTERLY LOVE UNITE TO FIGHT EVIL
With glimpses of all the characters from the previous book this Pres of the MC is still very much putty in the hands of Kat
GOTTA LOVE KAT SHES A SASSY BOSSY CHARACTER AND ISNT IN THIS ENOUGH, I MISSED HER, EMILY JUST WASN'T ENOUGH FOR ME I LIKE STRONG CHARACTERS.
EACH CHARACTER GETS THERE OWN POV WHICH IS DIFFERENT AND CAN TAKE SOME GETTING USED TO.
THIS IS A STORY OF NEW LOVE,A REUNION & SISTER/BROTHER LOVE,DANGER,ANGST,DRAMA,BLOODSHED & GREAT PLOT
Given an ARC for an honest review. Savage Fire is a very fast moving story. Fire in the title can explain a lot because these pages were on fire with an explosion waiting to happen. There was mystery, suspense and hot scenes. I enjoyed the banter between some of the side characters. You also get side character POV's which I enjoy. Emily is a young woman that seems to have trouble find her during her journey but she doesn't seem to notice. She is strong, sassy and a survivor. That is right she has the three S's of a female character and she expresses them all. Salvatore is alpha in all sense of the word. Strong, protective and will do what he needs to do to have what he wants. These two find each other in a chance meeting. Misunderstandings can be hard to take but when the dust settles will there be clarity? Savage Fire burns from page to page with a heat that can only be explained as an inferno. If you were stalked by Savage Stalker then you need to get fired up with Savage Fire! Can't wait for more! Kathleen Kelly has out done herself with these characters and I look forward to more of her work!
Do you ever read a book because of how great the previous one was? That’s where I am with this book.
I read it because I liked Savage Stalker so much and this book just went kinda blah for me. There was plenty going on and God love Emily’s heart, she definitely got put through the ringer with her father’s drinking, illness and death. She swings back and forth from being extremely capable and then turns into a ditz such as driving for 4 days straight to “hurt” Dane with the news of their father’s death.
Unfortunately, Salvatore didn’t have the same magnetism like Dane did in my opinion so it just didn’t suck me in like Savage Stalker. I just read these two books a couple days ago and I’m struggling to remember the storyline of this book vs. the very real connection I felt to the other book and characters. I hate that. I wanted to love Savage Fire. I feel like I need to apologize for not liking it more. *sigh*
I did like the addition of the Abruzzi “Family” thrown in to the MC mix. It definitely gave it a Sons of Anarchy feel with gun running and edging onto the mob’s turf kind of drama. I hope the next book is better than this one and this definitely keeps the story alive while including most of the characters of the previous book which works out well. I’m going to give this one a 3.5 stars.
This book could very well work great for someone else. Maybe I was being a grouchy butt when I read it. who knows?
It's an okay book. There's something missing....a feeling or better yet not feeling but just reading words without feeling. I like to feel like I am getting to know the people and feel like I'm either watching the story or feel like I'm part of it and it's just not there. I'm wondering if this was originally written in another language because there's a lot of missing little words. Example:. The man asked did she get a bus and leave town. Was he asking if she got a bus ticket or what? This happens through the whole past two book. I think the story is there but needs a good polishing.
At this time I don't plan to continue with the series.
Savage Fire is book 2 in the Savage Angel’s MC series and it picked up right where we were left off in the first. Savage Fire is a shorter read than the first book and is filled with danger, kidnapping, dirty talking bikers, a really dirty and hot Italian Mafia captain and a sweet young woman trying to come to terms with her life. Dane, Kat and the MC are moving on and coming to terms with the betrayal and stalking of Kat.
The author tells this story in several POV’s and I love being able to hear from different characters. However, for me at times I found it confusing because there are quite a few we hear from. This may appeal to others but for me all I really was interested in was hearing from the two main characters. I did appreciate the POV’s from the bad guys and getting to know their thoughts and plans. It definitely added more suspense to the story, I just would have liked less of them and more of main characters.
In this book we meet Emily, Dane’s young sister, the one that he has not seen since he left home at 15 years of age. Emily is a character that many can relate to. She has been abused by her father for years, her mother died years ago and a brother who left and has never looked back. After her father’s death, Emily has reached her breaking point. She decides to travel to Tourmaline to the Savage Angel’s compound to confront her brother. She is angry that he just left and never came back for her and left her there by herself to take care of her their father. Emily’s is not thinking straight, she is running on very little sleep and along the way trouble finds her. Luckily for her she is saved twice by a gorgeous man.
Salvatore Agostino, god I love him. He is the captain of a large crime family and is headed to the Savage Angels MC to find out how and why they lost out on money. So here is thing, Sal is a tough guy, he does not hide his true nature and something about the sweet, innocent and wide eye Emily has him feeling all kinds of protectiveness. Something has never felt before. Once in Tourmaline, things are not as clear cut as it seems for Sal and the MC.
Dane is both shocked and happy to see his sister Emily, but he is also concerned with how she reacts to Sal. He is trying to figure out why Emily is in town and most of all why she is with Sal. One thing that shocks and scares Dane is Emily’s anger and hostility towards him. He never wanted to leave her behind all those years ago but learning everything she has gone through leaves him feeling both guilty and angry. With the help of Sal and the MC they slowly discover they have been betrayed and everyone is in danger.
The author did an amazing job with the plot in this story. It is fast paced and full of action. I loved that we got two very alpha possessive men who are not willing to let anything happen to their women. It was great watching not only Sal but Dane possessiveness towards Emily. Neither wanted her out of their sight. The connection and chemistry between Emily and Sal was written so well, it felt so natural. Both Sal and Emily have not had people around that they could trust. Sal lived a hard life and there was always someone out to take him down. Emily never had anyone that took care of her or wanted her until now. The author did an amazing job showing how Emily came out of her shell. She becomes stronger, tougher and more determined not to be a victim again. We get to see how Dane and Kat are doing in their relationship and if you read the first book then you know Kat is a feisty and strong woman. Can Sal and Dane, keep Emily and the MC safe? Will the danger and threat take away the only thing Emily has ever wanted in life, Sal? The Savage Angels MC and Sal will be betrayed, there will be death and retribution, but who will be left standing in the end?
~*~ Obsessed by books copy given in exchange for an honest review ~*~
"When he left us all those years ago, he walked out on me too. He left me with an abusive father and a mother who always made excuses for him... Dane has a lot to answer for."
Emily, after sitting for four days by her Father's death bed, decides to punish her estranged brother by confronting with his failures. Alone and drowning in the pain of her reality she has one goal in mind, to hurt her brother the way she is hurting. After a childhood of fear, pain and regret Emily is one feisty young woman, barreling head first into one situation after another. Her epic and unplanned road trip to track down her brother crosses her path with a dashingly handsome stranger, Salvatore.
He is a Captain in The Abruzzi Family, renown for his no nonsense approach he has risen through the ranks quickly. He has been sent to deal with a business issue, quickly and profitably, to resolve the issue permanently if required. On his road trip he intervenes when a beautiful yet vulnerable looking stranger finds herself in a bad spot. Their paths cross once more when he finds her by the road side after her car tangles with tree and looses. Quickly establishing Emily is heading in the same direction and needs a protector to save her from herself Sal takes her to where she needs to be. The attraction between instant and unsettling for both them as they are preoccupied with their own missions. Once they arrive in town they are startled to realise that they are both after the same man; Dane, President of the Savage Angels MC.
Following on from Savage Stalker the first in the Savage Angels MC series, Dane is on the mend after recent events. Settling down into his new life with his old lady Kat, part the rock band The Grinders. Trying to keep his club on the straight and narrow his world turns upside down once again when his sister turns up in town with a member of a ruthless crime family. Stepping up to uncover the truth of the past, Dane knows the key is discovering who Kat's mum really was as it's painfully clear she was no sweet old woman as Dane believed. Calling the one man who may know, Dane's request for information brings Dave and Truth to visit Kat.
Again this book has it all; bikers, rockers and the mafia. The plot is fast paced and filled with passion intrigue and drama: the best and worse of human nature, pride and greed, plotting to gain it all and become more successful, the drive to be the most powerful means someone will be trampled on to reach the top. Can Sal piece it together before it's too late? Can Dane figure out the part he has played and which Brother has betrayed him? Is Emily destined always to be a victim in a selfish man's world?
The book is high emotive and sensitively written when dealing with heart breaking issues such as addiction, domestic violence and rape. It contains a wealth of characters that are all begging to tell their stories. The plot, though a little confusing at times due to the many POV's, is captivating. The relationship between Emily and her brother Dane is not yet completely patched up but I have a feeling their issues will be addressed in a further book. As will her adjustment to being part of the MC and an organised crime family, having begun the novel alone and feeling lost she has gained so much. The flow and structure of the story is much smoother and I feel this is a series that will continue to improve with each release. I devoured this story and look forward to the next.
**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**
I am still really enjoying this series. I liked the addition of Dane's sister Emily, the new conflict with the Abruzzi Crime Family, the truth coming out about Ms. Saunders and I love the fact that Truth was back. His reasoning for showing up was never really explained but glad to see he was in this one. I am so excited to see the Grinders are getting their own series. I have to admit I am a little intrigued with the members of the Grinders and can't wait for their stories.
My only negative about Savage Fire if I had to have one, was that some of the dialogue was really boring and I felt unnecessary. It pulled me away from the story instead of adding to it. Other than that I am enjoying this series. I love that this isn't the same old cookie cutter motorcycle club series. There is so much more going on than just the club and it's members. I can't wait to see what's next. Highly recommended for any motorcycle club readers.
*I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.
I LOVE the Savage Angels MC! This is the second book in this series and it is better than the first! Kathleen Kelly knows how to change up the story and make the book a page turner. It took me one day to read this book because I could not put it down.
Picking up right where the last book ended, Dane's sister, Emily, shows up unannounced. While he's thrilled and excited, she is only there to find out why he deserted her and left her to deal with their abusive father alone. Along the way to see Dane, Emily meets Salvatore, an Italian enforcer for a mob family.
Where her last book was Rock Star and MC President, this one gives us MC Princess and Mob Enforcer. What a combo!
The part that I love about Kathleen Kelly's books and her writing style is that you are given several main characters' view points. And she does it correctly. Her style not only expands on each character, but it allows for the opportunity for this series to evolve and grow. I'm giving Savage Fire 5 stars!!!!
“I swear my girl is going to get herself killed one of these days in a car or on a bike; she has two speeds, flat out and stop. She’s like that in life too.”
“Surprisingly, Dane does as he’s told by this fiery little dynamo. It’s interesting to see such a big man being bossed around by such a small woman.”
“…we all come with baggage. If she’s the right fit for you, you find room to unpack that baggage or better yet leave it behind.”
My Review:
I am enjoying this series. Savage Fire is an active and adventurous tale involving betrayal, double-crossing, mafia hit men, organized crime, abduction, sweet and sexy romance, and ongoing family drama. Whew, I could barely catch my breath. We find out the MC President has been working toward cleaning up their image, but not all the members have been following that same path. The sensual scenes sizzle and the sweet and endearing love connections continue to strengthen as well as provide entertaining levity and banter.
This is an interesting read. First off, it fairly stands alone. You won't know all the players, but don't feel like you are missing a whole lot. (i have not read book one) The book is written from several points of view. Most fit in and make the story very complete. A few scenes/pov don't add to the story and are more of a confusing page filler (truth). The dark romance brings together a crime family and a motorcycle gang with the common thread being the president's Sister who was saved by the crime family member. With several plot twist it does well at keeping your attention. The main H is not clear for quite awhile. The ending is a bit rushed for my taste and i would have enjoyed more of a conclusion to the "romance" I found this to be an enjoyable fantasy read touching on subjects that are 100% opposite of my own life.
Sal could be a pitball if he thinks his woman was hurt, "did they touch you, Amare ?” he growls at me, his eyes blazing with anger." He's a typical man he gets sidetracked at times, "I have much I need to discuss with you, much I need to know. My first question is… do you always wear no underwear?" He likes to make sure his woman is well informed on where to hit a man, "I smile at her and say, “Next time, aim for the jaw or his crotch, but his chest? No, Amare, that probably didn’t hurt him at all." I liked Sal although he could be overbearing and that was totally okay with me. I'm hoping Jonas or Tony or even Bear is next on the docket for this series.
We have a mafia captain meets MC president younger sister going on in this one. Emily gets caught in the middle of these two dangerous worlds with out known it. She’s the estranged sister of Dane Reynolds the President of the Savage Angels MC and in her flight to see him she meets Salvatore Agostino, captain in the Abruzzi crime family....they fall in love. Can the two worlds get along, or will the “business” that brought them together tear them apart?
Some tense moments happening in this exciting addition. Lots of help from previous characters, and Dane and Kat’s hot relationship hasn’t cooled down any. Emily is a gentle, young women, but you get a feeling of fire as she did shoot off, determined to give Dane a piece of her mind. Salvatore was a charismatic character but scary too, but Emily only ever felt protected with him.
Loved this addition. I can’t wait to read more from this excellent series!
This second book in the Savage Angels not only gives us the grit of an MC but entwines a mafia aspect to it as well. The Prez’s estranged sister Emily comes in search of her brother wanting to hurt him the way she thinks he deserves. Along the way she encounters bad luck and trouble and each and every time is rescued by a handsome Italian stranger. Sal has come to confront the Savage Angels MC after learning they are taking the family’s business but what he doesn’t realize is the beauty he keeps rescuing is connected to the club. As trouble comes looking for both the club and Sal it will take combining their forces to save them all. Emily and Sal feel a connection that cannot be explained but can she overlook his world to find her true love. Steamy, action packed, angsty and there is always some entertaining encounters between Dane and Kat to put a smile on your face.
This is the 2nd book in the series abc should be read in order.
Danes sister comes for a surprise visit and some vie gets mixed up with club business and the Mafia. Prepare yourself for a fast paced story with action that doesn’t stop.
Emily is grieving the death of her father. Then grief turns into anger. Anger towards her brother who hasn't been around since she was younger. The weight on her shoulders is too much to bear therefore, she takes off to find Dane, prez of Savage Angels MC.
Salvatore, Captain of the Abruzzi crime family, is sent to find put why the Grinders Transport is interfering with his business. The new owners are the Savage Angels MC.
Emily ends up in an accident due to exhaustion and lack of sleep. Sal is there to rescue her. A strong chemistry floats between them. Little do they know they both need to visit the Savage Angels MC.
When Emily's life is put on the line the MC and the mafia must work together not only to save her but to deal with the betrayal of family members.
One thing I’ve learned from the Savage Angels Motorcycle Club is that you DO NOT fuck with them, and you ABSOLUTELY do not mess with any one of their family members because they will make you pay with mayhem and bloodshed. Readers were privy to that understanding in Savage Stalker and that idea continues to hold true in Savage Fire. This time around, though, the scope of danger has expanded and all the players involved have something to lose – whether it be territory, honor, or their lives.
“Men like him will break you or fill the void within.”
No truer words have been spoken about a man like Salvatore Agostino. In some ways, he’s untouchable because he’s been around dangerous men all of his life, and he knows how to play the game and watch his back. But Emily Reynolds, estranged sister to Savage Angels President, Dane Reynolds, doesn’t know that side of Salvatore. She sees him as her savior – the man responsible for helping her when she felt hopeless, and even though she’s a bit naïve when it comes to the opposite sex and she doesn’t really know who Sal is, she’s drawn to him just as much as he is to her.
But there’s bigger things at play than Emily and Sal’s burgeoning relationship, which puts their feelings for each other on the back burner and thrusts them and the Savage Angels in a deadly game against dangerous men who will do anything to get what they want.
Savage Fire is a great follow up to Savage Stalker, and readers will definitely see the growth in Kathleen Kelly’s writing. The storyline flows fairly smoothly throughout even with the varying perspectives. Sometimes I find myself getting lost when the point of view changes too many times, but in Savage Fire, it adds to the buildup of the storyline and allows readers to see what’s occurring on both sides of the chaos. I would have liked to see a bit more of Emily and Salvatore getting to know each other better and understanding their respective backgrounds and the choices they’ve made, but I’m sure readers will get that insight as the series progresses because Kat and Dane’s relationship, the main characters in book 1, is explored some in this book, which gives a fuller picture to the readers. Most of the storylines are wrapped up at the end of Savage Fire, so there’s not a cliffhanger per say, but there’s still revealed secrets that need to be dealt with and developing relationships that need to be expanded on, so I’m sure the next book in the series, even though it will undoubtedly focus on new main characters, will shed further light on all loose ends.

The MC world meets the Mob world in this awesome book by Kathleen Kelly!
Emily Reynolds and Salvatore Agostino meet when he saves her twice. They are both traveling to meet Dane Reynolds, but neither of them know that. Their connection is immediate. When someone uses Emily as a bargain chip, Dane and Salvatore must work together to save her.
Loved Savage Fire! It is an amazing book with an awesome story. It hooked me from the very first page and I couldn't put my Kindle down. It has lots of action, drama, sweet scenes and steamy scenes. It answered a lot of questions left unanswered in Savage Stalker (we finally find out what Kat's mom really did for a living!).The book is mainly from Emily's and Sal's POV, but, like the first book in the series, it has a few chapters from other characters's POV.
Savage Fire character's are great! Emily was raised by an abusive and alcoholic father and a mother that chose her drunk and violent husband over the safety of her children. Despite that, Emily grew up a strong woman, knowing what she wants, although she can be a little naive. She doesn't understand how Dane was capable of leaving the family and after their father dies she decides to confront Dane and try to hurt him. Salvatore is a captain of the Abruzzi family. Like Emily, he has a rough childhood, but he took matters in his own hands and escaped. He doesn't see himself as a man good enough for Emily because of the things he has done for the Abruzzi family. He is very loyal to his man and with Emily he is very sweet, gentle, and kind, but also very protective and possessive. I loved to see all the characters we met in Savage Stalker! Dane is still very swoon worthy and Kat is a ball of energy that made me laugh.
Once again, Kathleen Kelly wrote an amazing book, flawlessly written, with an awesome story and great characters. Can't wait to read the rest of the Savage Angels MC series and more about Jonas and Truth!
What happens when the President of the largest MC in the country comes up against one of the most powerful crime families in the country? Read Kathleen Kelly’s second book in the Savage Angels MC and find out! This is the unlikely love story of Emily Reynolds and Salvatore Agostino and not one you will want to miss!
Salvatore Agostino is Captain for the Abruzzi crime family and he has never been accused of being a nice man. His rise was fast and resented by some of the older members. Sal had fought his way to the top and even though he was considered young for his position, he was loyal to his family. So when he was told to do something by the head of the family, he did not hesitate. On the way to take care of business, he rescues an innocent young woman, not once but twice. This woman touches Sal’s heart in a way that no one ever has before. She needs a keeper, someone to protect her. He maybe a member of a crime family, but he does not harm women!
Emily has lived her entire life in an abusive home where her father abused and beat her mother. Her only protection had been her brother Dane and when their father kicked him out she was left alone. Now years later, Emily decides it is time to find Dane and let him know how she feels. Taking off from the hospital, where she had nursed their father until the end, she doesn’t think about what she is doing. On the way she is accosted at a rest room and is rescued by another man. Then she runs off the road and hits a tree! Once again the same man that saved her saves her again. Is this a coincidence? The feelings that her rescuer evokes are like none she has ever experienced before.
When Emily and Sal find out more about each other, is there a chance for them? Will their backgrounds destroy them or will they come out on the other side together? Kathleen Kelly has done it again with this intricately woven tale of love going against all odds and winning!
I'm thinking I read a different book from everyone else because for the life of me, I cannot fathom why this book has so many four and five star reviews? So either I read a different book or I needed a few glasses of wine to get to the four and five star portions of the book like everyone else did! Book one had massive potential, yeah it had a few drawbacks but I did enjoy it quite a bit, so much so that I purchased the next two books in this series. This book, while also edging along the lines of massive potential fell so flat, I'm just not sure what the fuck happened! It's like the entire book was so fucking rushed and nothing was explained!
Keeping within the same parameters as book one, the relationship between Sal and Emily moves at a pretty fast pace, with the exception of sex, that doesn't occur until the end and even that shit was a fucking rush job, it was disappointing as hell. I still don't understand what the fuck was the point in Emily driving four days to supposedly chew her brother's ass out only to get caught up in a clusterfuck of a mess that albeit had nothing to do with her but at the end of everything the relationship between her and Dane is still up in the air! Did they make up? Did she forgive him? Understand him? WTF happened?
The mess that Fith and Kat's mum left the club in is finally cleared up a bit and that's what gives this book a bit of juice and life because even the multiple POVs that I usually love, were as before totally unnecessary and unessential to the story so basically a waste of time. Also, is there a Truce between The Family and the MC? What's the angle there? Will Dane follow Fith's clue or did he go in vane? Sighs...
The ending was so fucking abrupt, I was left thinking that there was an error on my damn tablet! I couldn't believe that was it, I felt fucking cheated because to many things were left unanswered, as proof from above! I already purchased the third book because it was decently priced and I wasn't expecting book two to be so low on my rating scale, therefore I have no choice but to read it and hope and pray I get something much more decent than this! Sorry but Ms. Kelly dropped the ball on this one...
Ms. Kelly has done it again. I absolutely adored Savage Stalker ( Savage Angels book 1). The cast that she introduced us to in that book has become one of my favorite groups of characters. In fact if I could bring to life one world from a book and live in it it would be the world that Kathleen has created in her books.
Book 2 picks up immediately after the end of book 1 with the arrival of Dane Reynolds, President of the Savage Angels MC, sister Emily. After the death of their father, Emily decides to track down her brother to confront him about abandoning her to an abusive alcoholic father. On her way to Tourmaline she gets herself into trouble a couple of times and is rescued both times by the handsome Salvator. The final time Emily wrecks her car and Sal takes her the rest of the way into Tourmaline.
However Sal is headed to Tourmaline to deal with the Savage Angels in his own way as Captain of the Abruzzi crime family. He does not know Emily is Dane's sister. As events play out in Tourmaline and Emily finds herself in danger yet again; Dane and Salvator work together to save her from their enemies.
I absolutely love Emily, she appears to be mousy and weak, but the woman has endured a lifetime of abuse and come out stronger for it. She posses an inner strength that I don't think even she is aware of until she is tested. Salvator, although he is cold blooded and ruthless, he shows such patience and gentleness towards Emily. The way he treats her is so endearing...swoon worthy in fact.
As always with Kathleen's book, the story is well written and the action is fast paced. Once you start reading you can't put it down. We get to see all our favorite bikers from book one and a couple of Kat's bandmates arrive in town as well. Guitarist Truth, who is this readers favorite, shows up to steam things up a bit!!! I dearly loved Savage Fire and I am looking forward to many, many more books in this series.
I've been looking forward to reading Savage Fire since the moment I finished Savage Stalker.
Again though, like with Book One, Savage Fire didn't really have much to do with the MC exactly. It was because of one member of the MC that this story even happened, but other than that it was mainly the story of Emily Reynolds; MC President Dane's sister, and Salvatore Agostino, a mob style man, high up in the Abruzzi crime family, sent to meet with the Savage Angels, and how they ended up becoming part of each others lives.
I liked Emily from the start. Understandably, after where life had led her, she was a little broken and awkward and just plain hurt. Her brother had appeared to abandon her when she was a child, her father was an arse who, despite his attitude, she felt the need to care for. After her father dies she ends up taking a journey of misadventure to find her brother Dane.
Following a few unfortunate run ins, all of which Salvatore witnessed in some way or another; seriously, this girl needed to be wrapped in bubble wrap or something she had such bad luck! Sal ends up being the hero of the hour after Emily finds herself in yet another scrape, and gives her a ride to Tourmaline, home of the Savage Angels MC.
I don't want to say much else, for fear of spoilers, so I'll just sum up. I enjoyed the story, I liked the characters; it was nice seeing the members I loved from Book One again, and meeting new characters too. Even though written from many POV's I found it all very easy to follow, but I did however find quite a few editing mistakes. Non of them took away from the story for me at all, but they were quite noticeable. I also found a few sections of the book a little jerky in the writing.
I love Kathleen Kelly though and am looking forward to reading Savage Town when it comes out later this year. Also ARC reviewed on MJ''s Book Blog and Reviews.
I loved this story. I read the first book in this series in and really liked it but this book was even better than the first. I love the mafia story plus the MC element. You have the nail biting mystery without the who done it. Kathleen spells out everything so you are not left behind. Emily is Dane the President of the Savage Angels MC’s sister. She comes to town because of the death of their father. Sal comes into the picture coincidently and builds a friendship with Emily but soon becomes much more involved. The build up between the two is sort of instantaneous but no too crazy. It was kind of a nice change of pace. Sal being the fiercely loyal Italian guy he is has a protective streak in him a mile long and poor Emily really needs it. We get to see Dane a lot in this book and that is really nice because I really liked him in the first book. He is still a good guy and he and Sal form a good bond right away in protection of his sister.
Emily is a hot mess emotionally and physically. Thank God she has a bunch of strong characters around her to hold her up. She does come around though and of course when she shouldn't and gets herself into some binds. This book is a little angsty but I loved it because Sal was adorable about it. This book had me laughing, biting my nails, tearing up and cussing like a sailor.
I would really like to have more of Emil and Sal’s story. I felt like this book ended a little abruptly and I was definitely left wanting more. I cannot wait to see if my questions and wants are fulfilled in the next installment of this series. I would highly recommend these books to all that enjoy fast paced books with hot sex, gorgeous MC guys and just an all around different read than you are use to.
My Favorite Quotes
“Darlin’, your killing me. My cock wants to go home. Let me in, let me come home.”
This author really knows how to take it up a notch for a reader's pleasure. She provides excitement that is filled with plenty of action, hot enough heat to scorch where ever you are reading, all the while doing this with characters that will keep you riveted. In this one Emily is on the move after losing her father to a battle with cancer and angry with her brother Dane. On impulse fueled with that anger she takes off to him. On the way though she has a mishap where Salvatore comes to her rescue. The author lays a solid foundation on why he is even on the road which by the time you have come to this point you are not letting go until you see exactly what kind of man he really is. That rescue is only the beginning of their time that will lead them both to the same destination but with different reasons. He is a suave guy who is so charming that he will be irresistible. It also comes at the right time for Emily. Journey with these two as they head into a storm that will be just as the title suggests that will be savage but the fire will be what builds between the two of them. Burning as you go with them through the events that occur that come with the drama that will have front row with them and the Savage Angels. Dane will have his hands full because of what lands at his front door with his sister. Secrets that will be revealed too will lead to getting some of his house in order. Love those take charge kind of guys and you will get that with the men in this novel. When you reach the conclusion of this novel you will have had many a emotion injected through the writing that will also leave you burnt and in need of something tamer if you can not handle the heat. Received a copy for a honest review.
This is the second book in the Savage Angels MC. It's a good read. I do like the characters and the twists in this book. You do need to read Savage Stalker first to get a background on the characters, even though the main characters are different in this one. This book doesn't center around a member of the MC, it is about Dane's estranged sister and A Mafia Captain named Salvatore, or Sal. The MC does play a huge role in the book, and so does Dane though.
Emily has been taking care of her drunk father since he was diagnosed with cancer. When he dies, she decides she needs to make Dane hurt, like he hurt her by leaving all those years ago and not taking her with him. So she gets in her car and tries to make the 4 day drive without sleeping at all. She is close to being there, when she's almost attacked at a gas station, but she is saved by this mysterious Italian guy. But then, she crashes her car on a lonely mountain road. Luckily for her, her knight in shining armor is going the same way and stops to help her. They have no idea who each other are. He takes her all the way to the MC compound.
Salvatore was sent to handle business that one of the grunts should be doing, not someone that is with his standing in the Family. He knows something is fishy about this. But, when he saves Emily, not once, but twice in the beginning of the book, he changes, she changes him some.
More about the "real" Ma comes out and there is a traitor in the MC and in the Family. Sal and Dane need to work together to take care of, and fix this huge mess that's going on.
Savage Fire Book Two of the Savage Angel MC Series By Kathleen Kelly
Mobsters, Bikers and Rockers! Its the trifecta of hot Alpa Males! Definite Must Read!
This writer was provided with an ARC of this book in exchange for a honest review. I honestly was anxiously awaiting reading this book, having thoroughly enjoyed book 1 in the Series. Kathleen Kelly has definitely provided a wonderful follow up in a great new series.
Emily has not had an easy life. Not only did she grow up with an abusive father, but following her mother’s death, she was left caring for him as he struggled with illness and addiction. Having to suffer the burden and loss on her own, Emily flees the hospital upon her father’s death to find her brother Dane. Dane who abandoned her to a life with an alcoholic father and a co-dependent mother, and was not there to help her when she most needed him. A brother more concerned with being president of the Savage Angels MC, than being her brother.
Salvatore is a Captain in the Abruzzi Crime Family. He is on a mission to find out who has been undercutting the gun trade of the family and violating a long standing agreement. When Emily is unexpectedly thrust into his life, it is with shock that he finds himself caring for her and protecting her. Can their lover survive once Emily learns that it may be her brother that Salvatore is gunning for?
This book has all the most important features- a great plot, steamy romance, racy sex scenes and a world that you will want to escape into. Highly Recommended!
I devoured the first two books in this series in less than twenty-four hours. I seriously read the last page in Savage Stalker and immediately clicked over to read Savage Fire. Once I started, I couldn't stop. The characters and the chaos of their lives pulled me in. I was addicted to Kathleen Kelly's Savage Angels MC world and could not wait to start Savage Fire.
I was psyched - Savage Fire continued to hold my attention from the very first pages. There is so much drama unfolding - the entire book is intense. Emily and Sal are new to the series but they are completely appealing and alluring. You want to know more about them. They're both moving forward into the unknown but for whatever reason karma seems fated to bring them together. I found myself rooting for them - I wanted them to figure things out and to find their happily ever after.
I truly enjoyed Sal and Emily. I loved how the author wrote Emily - she's awkward and charming. She felt real - from her feelings and passion toward Sal to the emotional scars Dane left on her heart. And Sal completed her perfectly. His strong personality complimented her innocence. Their connection is powerful and highly sensual.
Kathleen Kelly was a new to me author but she is now on my must be stalked for book release information. I LOVE her Savage Angel MC Series - the stories are incredible. Entertaining. The books are filled with clever plots with enticing and engaging characters. I definitely recommend you check Savage Stalker and Savage Fire out.
I'm not sure 5 stars is even enough for this book! I could not put this book down. I love the way Kathleen writes and how she uses multiple POV throughout the entire story. I will say that one downfall was that a few of the POV kind of seemed pointless to me but at the same time got me thinking maybe it has to do with a book that is to come in the future to add on to this series. There are still so many unanswered questions that I want to know the answers to. It is a stand alone but its also one that its best to read the previous book to know more about what exactly they are talking about during certain times. But anyways about the characters and the overall story...
Emily just watched her father take his last breath and shes all alone. She has no one and has not seen her brother Dane in over 12 years since he left home at the age of 15. So after her father passes she jumps in her car and decides to make the 4 day trip to her brother to let him know their father died. Emily has not had an easy life, her father was an alcoholic and abusive. Her mother had passed a few years back and her father became even worse.
She meets Sal on her way to her brothers and its an immediate attraction. Sal is the Captain of a crime family on the east coast. Sal is dark, broody, loyal, alpha and wants Emily as his. There are so many turns you don't see coming in this book. I love the suspense and just kept reading because i wanted to know what was coming next and what else Kathleen was going to throw my way.
