******* THEY SAY WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW CAN’T HURT YOU, BUT THEY WERE WRONG...
My name is Grace. But I don’t know that. I don’t know who I am. I don’t know where I came from. The only thing I do know is that I woke up in the bed of an irresistible, leather-clad man with wild, savage eyes and a body that shakes me to my very core. Not only did he save my life, but he makes me feel like I’ve known him forever. Maybe remembering isn’t so important after all.
I should have known there’d be trouble when I saw that fucking owl again. But what was I supposed to do? Leave Grace there to die? And besides, I knew Doc would take good care of her. What I didn’t know was that she would threaten to shatter the foundation of chaos I had worked so hard to build. What I didn’t know was that she would cost me the one thing I had vowed to keep locked down - my heart. What I didn’t know could really hurt me.
This story has great potential to be better. I enjoyed it yet- it lacked something for me. It just needed to be expanded more.
When the characters talked they seemed unsure of themselves and not assertive. The only time it wasn't super awkward was when they were passionate about what they were saying. Even the other MC men talked like they were uncertain. Too many: "ummm's", "oh, okay's", "right, right", "yeah okay's" "sure, sure..." for me. Also, I could have used more character dialogue and more depth and we never really learn much about Ryder's life story.
Overall- I liked the idea behind the story. I liked how a lot of it played out. But, I didn't like how no one really had much to say and when they did, it was just so unsure or awkward. Also, I didn't like how the book ended at 78%. Where's the rest of the story? I paid for a full book, not a partial one.
This is the first book I've read by this author and I've already downloaded the next one 'Solid Ground' Grace wakes up in a strange bed in a strange room with no idea how she got there or even who she is, she can't remember anything at all. Ryder is the president of the Gods of Chaos MC he rescued Grace from her attacker but thought once she woke up she'd explain what happened and return to her life, he never imagined she'd have no memories and therefore be stuck at the club. During the time they spend together Grace and Ryder grow closer as each fills a need within the other but will it all come tumbling down around them once she regains her memories. I really enjoyed this book it's on the softer side for an MC book but it worked for me, I liked both Grace and Ryder I did struggle to picture Ryder as forty but that could just be me. Like I said at the beginning I've already downloaded the next book.
I had this book on my tbr list for a few now and finally got a chance to read it. Had I known this story was going to grab me like this, I would have read it the day it came out! Shame on me!
I love MC books, this is my favorite type to read in the romance genre. I have read to many to count. However, this book , even though it was a quick read, was just amazing. The writing was great, the characters loveable and easy to connect with, the flow was great and the story in and of itself was so good!
Grace aka Sam, (or vice versa) was a character I found myself really pulled too. I don't normally connect with the female lead, but I really did with Grace. My Heart went out to her. After everything she overcame and then to have to battle the things she did, I was amazed at her strength. I know you don't know what I'm talking about, but you will when you read this book lol ;)
Ryder, oh sweet Ryder. Even though he was the president of the MC, he truly was a gentle heart. I loved how he could make you All hot and bothered one minute and then swoon over his heart the next. He really was the perfect guy.
This story was a great read. It not only gets your pulse racing like a good MC romance should but it also grabs your heart and caresses it until you are a puddle of goo.
I'm not giving any spoilers here. Read the book!! You won't be disappointed. I wasn't ;)
This was a good book but I just felt like something was missing. I would of loved to seen more sex scenes in the story as well. Though the book was about the President of the MC I just did not feel Ryder played that role very well. He just was not tough enough and bad enough, nor did it give the image of him having the leadership skills that a president would have.
All in all I did like Ryder. He did have a good heart and was willing to step in when Grace needed him even though he did not know her. He truly wanted to help her get her memory back.
Grace had a heart breaking past. As her past is revealed you will real start to feel sorry for what she went though. There are somethings about Grace that will be shocking not only for you as a reader but for the Ryder as well. It is what she does for a leaving.
Oh, I did not like Cherry in the story. You could tell she was going to be trouble for Grace. But she is what I could expect for a club girl. That was something I would of loved to seen if more of the club girls brought into the story.
Blurb: THEY SAY WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW CAN’T HURT YOU, BUT THEY WERE WRONG...
GRACE: My name is Grace.
RYDER: I should have known there’d be trouble when I saw that fucking owl again.
Wow! This was really great! I couldn't imagine not knowing who I am or anything about my past. Grace has woken up with amnesia and begins the process of trying to find out who she is and what happened before in her past. Along the way she discovers that she loves her enemy. This was different from most MC reads and very refreshing. Loved it!
Great easy read! Loved Ryder uhhhh such a sweet caring mc president. Loved Grace's story. Definitely enjoyed the way it was written....different....refreshing change...didn't see that coming! HEA yes! No cliffhanger yeah! Would definitely recommend.
"You have to remember where you came from to appreciate where you are." This is a perfect moment to explain Book 1 Remember Me- Gods of Chaos MC. I greatly enjoyed this book. It's a bit different than lots of MC reads in that it was more relationship oriented than club oriented. However, you still get a good does of club moments, some violence and some grit.
I really liked this book. I enjoyed it and being its the first of the series only can get better from here. I did find things a little to "INSTA" for me, but the story kept me glued to the pages
I grabbed all 3 of the Gods of Chaos MC books on sale and so far I'm really liking this new series. A beaten woman is found by a biker and he quickly takes care of her and gets rid of her attacker. She is pretty much out for three days and when she comes to...she can't remember who she is or what happened. Of course Grace is being taken care of by Ryder...a tough but deep down loving man who has suffered the loss of his wife many years ago and refuses to fall in love again. Neither one is prepared for what happens when they finally give in to their feelings and what happens when they discover the truth about Grace's past. I really enjoyed this quick and slightly steamy romance...the supporting characters were colorful (not quite as tough as some biker books I have read) and the story pulled me in and kept me reading until the very end. I'm really looking forward to the next two in the series.
**** 4 **** "falling in love with the enemy" stars
Ryder is the president of his outlaw mc. He likes that his life isn't normal he doesn't want normal. Nor does he want another old lady. Then he finds her and safes her. But who is she?
Grace aka Sam hasn't had an easy life. She comes from the worst type of dysfunctional family there is out there. At 18 she is able to get away a year later she changes her life. She is determined to save others from the life she lives. Then something happens she can't remember her life.
Follow along as Grace and Ryder over come their pasts to find their future. This book is amazing. It brings to light crimes that don't often see in the news but happen everyday right under our noses. Again as a mother reading this it broke my heart. No child should deal with what Grace did or fought to help others.
Triggers: H is with two club girls on page before meeting the h. No other women after they meet. It was good, I liked the characters and had a nice twist. I needed more to make it a 4 or 5 star read, just more dialogue, a bit more romance. The parts where time was skipped over, I needed more detail. Good though and I'm moving to the next in the series.
5/16/2023 Ok so I started re-reading and right off the bat I'm not enjoying the on page/descriptive scene of him with 2 club girls one of whom is the sort-of favorite of one of his brothers but hey, he's the Prez so unless she's an old lady, fair game (gag!). On top of that I didn't love book 2 and I DNF's book 3. Dammit I was hoping......
I enjoyed this book. Lead male wasn't as Alpha as I expected but was still good. Leading lady was great.
One thing I don't seem to like is the FREE book at the end of the book. Reading along and really enjoying it, check the time left in book, halfway through, happy that there's still more to happen. No, 3 pages later - The End.
wow-the way you started this book was amazing-the storyline through this book was OMG-awesome-I loved how their romance grew and then when she found out who she was-I love how they didnt give up-GREAT JOB!!!!!
This is a fast easy read. I enjoyed it so much. The relationship between Grace and Ryder was beautiful. The story was good and palpable. The sex was nice. Overall, I recommend reading it. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
This was my first book by Honey Palomino and I really enjoyed it! It had wonderful characters, a great storyline, and was well written - all things that are typically short changed in the shorter reads. Will definitely be reading the next book in the series!
i will first say that i found Honey ...because she was contacting bloggers and other readers to read or re-read her books ...she is having new book covers ...and changing up some tidbits within the books ... 17 i think she did say ...holy heck that is a lot of books ... considering she is new to me ...and i don't have KU ... (maybe you do, considering they changed it up to $11.99 a month, i think that is ridiculous, AMAZON is getting even more money hungry ...so am i ... so i have to watch even more what i am spending. nuts i tell ya!! food ain't getting any cheaper, life items are not getting cheaper ...wondering why and how they think that is okay??! i say like always watch what you are doing on Amazon, watch them like a HAWK. watch it. i see often where the books is plaining FREE but they charge me a price ... i mean WATCH IT!! you can often find items more cheaper elsewhere. i am watching it all. eyes and ears open! now i heard that PRIME is changing next year. nuts!! they still have yet to give me back my REVIEWING rights. stupid there. what a joke.) to Honey's books ... what i appreciate about her books ... now when i say this ... i don't wanna dumb down or make other writers (authors) look whatever you wanna say ..not the point ...but when you read thinking about Honey's book and what are different ...the MC part of the story is or was different to me ... i tend to jump over and just skim over and not really care about it ... i prefer the LOVE story ...how they got together ...what pulled them together ... instant love, a steam immediately or what ... takes a bit for some steam or such and such??! u know. for Honey's books ...the MC part of the book ... it is interesting and you wonder about the characters. they have a cool side. i will read more ...but i am not sure how i will read them ... i have to decide what i wanna do ... all 17 are not in their own collection. i think there are like 4 books with those like that ... so like 1-4, and 5-8, and so on ...but not all 17 books. i did see some other books series that she does have. i will say that this book for me was almost a 5 read ...but i wanna save that true five star for another book ... just in case. what is to come. (like i know totally off the point ...have you seen "AFTER EVERYTHING" are you familiar with that movie series ...finally it is over and done. gosh i am having or drawing a blank on the authors' name ... but i read those YA books. so good. check them out if you have not seen them on Amazon, shocker. LOL!) read Honey ...she rocks. new to me ... no clue how i missed them. but i see she has a had a life change or moment and is getting about into writing and switching it up a bit ... go give her some love .. we book folks can and should stay together. the love of reading is real. all genres. all fun. light and entertaining. i know some of her books are more heavy ... heavier subjects materials ... etc. but we are adults here and we know that if we cannot handle them ... move on ... no need for dislike or mean comments. keep it real, clean and nice. i don't think we need to be hateful. i think authors would respect a bad book in your opinion by giving an honest thought and opinions no need for meanness. u know what i mean?? i would sure hope so.
3.9 This story is n overall good read. There could have been more character interaction moved a little fast would have liked more build up. I did have a problem that the characters didn't think about protection, neither for that matter, Ryder was sleeping around a lot and just days before he was with Grace/Sam (I like Sam better :) ) he was with two different women at the same time with no protection, women who sleep around with all the other men in the club for sure. He didn't use protection then nor with Sam and she had no idea if she was even on birth control (and if it was pills they no longer would work as she had missed so many up to this point) or what kind of sex life she had before Ryder. Just irresponsible. That just takes away from the story for me. But Ryder was a sweet man and I have no ide how he was single for so long but he and Sam made a good couple from what little we got to see of it.
First book in the Gods Of Chaos MC books. Grace wakes up not remembering who she is or what happened to her. Ryder is the one who rescued her and saved her from her attacker. Ryder and the MC help Grace heel and try to figure out who she is and where she came from. While doing so Grace and Ryder fall for each other. Remember me is a fast paced easy read. The ending was a little too rushed after all the build up though. You instantly fall in love with tough guy Ryder and want him and Grace to be together. You feel for Grace as she tries to remember who she is. You see Ryder and Grace fight what they feel for each other until they can’t anymore.
Going into this book the only problem I have is that in the beggining of book there is not like summary about status in club what means some of stuff because peopel who is this first MC can be confussin. Thankfully this is not first book so I know few thinks. The other think I didn't like is how they become so connected. She trusted him instantly and even got with him instantly. She lost her memories but she was like yeah i trust this man here and I am falling in love with he. I am not telling I didn't enjoy book. I did. They were okey together just too quick. He memories came to me too quick. Her first part of her memories were she visit her family and quick after that her life after that. Let say she didn't have good childhood memories. We hate her family. So please look for trigger warning or this book.
Wow,what a read! This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved it! Ryder finds 'Sam' at the side of the road, beaten and unconscious. When she wakes in his clubhouse, she can not remember a thing. Ryder makes it his business to protect her and help her get her memory back. The connection between the two of them is sweet and hot. Ryder appears tongue tied at times around Grace and that I found super sweet, especially as he is the President of his MC. Can't wait to read more from this author.
This was my first book by this author. I started the book and it's funny how you know right away if it's going to be good or not, if it will keep your interest or not. This one did that right away, I couldn't put it down. I believe it's the writing style that draws you in. And this author does a fantastic job. Sam and Ryder are perfect for each other in this book. Then there were some areas of the book that I held my breath until the scene was done. Very good, highly recommend!
