--Book 1: RAVAGE--
FIRST PEOPLE GOT SICK. THEN THEY GOT VERY SICK.. Nick Adams is just a normal guy. He loves his family, appreciates his home, and covets his car. But he absolutely hates his job. Which is what makes it so difficult that not a single customer has come by his store today. It seems as though there’s a bug going around, something that has come out of nowhere and is keeping people at home. Still, it’s probably nothing to worry about. People get sick all the time.
And besides, things are finally starting to look up. Nick’s first customer of the day has just stumbled through the door…
HIS DAY IS ABOUT TO GET WORSE.. It won’t be long before Nick’s entire life is turned upside down, sending him on a frantic journey through a ravaged world that will ultimately lead him 500 feet upwards to a hilltop amusement park. Is it the last safe place on Earth, or are the monsters at the top of the hill even worse than the ones below?
WELCOME TO RIPLEY HEIGHTS. WHERE THE FUN NEVER STARTS.
--Book 2: SAVAGE--
SOMETIMES BEING ALONE IS BETTER… The world has crumbled and the dead walk the earth, but all is not lost, yet. A group of survivors seek salvation at an abandoned pier where the dead can’t get them.
But the dead are not the only threat.
The people on the pier are not the only group of survivors. There are others out bigger, nastier groups. And one just turned up right on the doorstep…

I really enjoyed reading this book. Ordinarily, I really don't care for zombie books or movies, but the story had me hooked before I even realized it was about zombies. It's fast paced, loaded with action, danger and susense, twists and turns. The book is part one of a trilogy, but reads like a stand alone book. The story continues, but it really doesn't end on what I would refer to as a cliffhanger. It would be better to read the books in order because of events that take place in a chronological order. Included in the book was a section not always included. It's about how the virus got started and how it spread. It's creepy and realistic, which makes it scary. I think it adds a lot to the story and hope Iain does a revised edition that includes this section. There are a few rditing errors, but they don't take away from the enjoyment of reading this story. It's a terrific book or I wouldn't have continued to read it.
Perfered the first book to the other. Enjoyed the spread of infections stories. The second book for me was just a case of "I'm better than you" and I didnt enjoy it as much some bits I felt were to much especially the sword bit and jumping out the water etc. I know its fiction but nope just too much. He Reminds me of the governor from walking dead which could be why I didn't enjoy the story as I hate the whole I have bigger balls then you altho poppy did break my heart.
