I've recently revisited this book and have chosen to downgrade it by one star. There was a time when I really liked Tanya Burr and I still think she is very sweet, but I feel her type of activity and promotion is more geared towards a younger audience.
This book is certainly all encompassing, taking in some bio bits, information and tips on skincare, makeup, hair, nails and fashion. It also provides insight from Tanya on love and dating, living life, travelling, confidence, happiness, friendship, food and fitness. If that wasn't enough, it also branches into baking. I feel like Tanya has spread herself a little too thinly here. In trying to touch on so many different topics in one book, Tanya's tips result in being very general and unoriginal. A lot of this is common sense, or at least aimed at young teenagers who don't have a clue about where to start in these areas. However, if the intention is to aim it towards a younger audience, Tanya makes the mistake in recommending a number of expensive products that would be completely out of reach for many.
The other thing about being a YouTuber and recommending products is that your opinion never stays the same for long. New products are constantly coming on the market and Tanya will endorse different things, so this information has gone out of date slightly, I feel.
An overly nice and safe> book that will look good on a shelf or a coffee table, but ultimately an overly inclusive collection of information that is in no way groundbreaking.
