Metal Wonderland: A vast story

Rate this book
Shiloh is a dangerous place, a jungle filled with more than just disease and insects. On the edge of the remote town of Lollec Marshall Robertson seeks to build the influence of his home nation of Obie and improve the lives of the local people through the establishment of some semblance of government. Alas, there are older and more powerful nations that have a use for Shiloh. A contingent of shadowy agents of a foreign power are stirring up trouble in the jungles, pushing the local militias to conflict with the organized occupation undertaken by what they refer to as the Empire of Obie.

Metal Wonderland follows both sides of the conflict occurring around the town of Lollec in the final 48 hours of the military occupation there. On the one side are Marshall Robertson and his marines, on the other sits Hussar Ehud and his unit of dragoons. Both sides are fighting for what they believe is right, both are going to extremes to do so, but only one will remain at the end of the conflict.

This story is my first attempt at writing something shorter and easy to read, and also my first book uploaded to any kind of marketplace. The book is short and fairly violent, but I hope it is worth the effort on the part of any readers.
