He’s an athlete, and a bear, and the only thing he wants to win now is the heart of his mate.

Love hasn't been easy for Ryan Hart, the hottest snowboarder in the world. His brothers have found mates and settled down, but the perfect woman for him is still to be found. Sure, his friend Kylie may make the bear in him yearn for more than just a casual friendship, but he has more important things to do. That is, until a life-threatening injury brings him home to Bearstone Park- the last place he wants to be.

Kylie is a woman used to falling down and getting back up. So even though the last Hart brother has made it clear she’s not the one for him, and she's done being rejected by him, she’s not going to let him wallow in his own self-pity.

But when an innocent snowboard lesson becomes something more, something much hotter, the two will have to decide if they’re willing to put their rocky history behind them and give their hearts to each other before it’s too late.

***** Another Great shifter story in this series. Each can stand alone, but it's fun to read the trilogy and get to know all of the deep thought filled characters. Interesting tale, and hot sexiness. Ryan, an athlete snowboarder, and Kylie the teacher and florist owner. Ryder, Riley and Ryan are "bear" brothers. There is a twist, but I don't want to give it away. I liked the characters right away, fun, sexy, emotional, sweet story. Kylie is in love with Ryan, but his misguided brain thinks he needs someone athletic to keep up with him. Little does he know what Kylie's been through and how strong she is. He gets injured and she is his salvation. Dare he tell her he's a bear? Will she run? This is a full length, no cliffhanger story, yeah !!! ENJOY !!!

I definitely enjoyed this! There were times I was annoyed and wanted more answers but this story had a perfect little bow at the end of it. I quite enjoyed a story like this. So many times we don't get a strong woman in romances and in this one we did. She was strong in more ways than one. I truly enjoyed this shifter story! Even with Ryan being a jerk at times. Made the end that much sweeter.

I can't believe I finally finished the Bearstone Park thrilogy but I DID. So here it goes: The three books are veeeeeery similar. Super hot and rich Hart brother falls for a girl (who's not a normal clumsy girl - they're all chubby and different from each other which was pretty cool) from Bearstone Park. At first, they deny it. There's a bunch of reasons their thing won't work out - maybe because the super rich dude is too rich and famous? Insecurity? Trying to deny their own INNER BEAR? Anyway. None of this matters as soon as they have hot sex and their INNER BEAR claims the woman as her FOREVER MATE.

Honestly, it's amazing. Like, I straight up laughed at some parts and lowkey wanted them together at others. Each main character has their own thing going on, and I loved that Ryan was a super hot snowboarder having to slow down after an accident who finally fell for Kylie as he teaches her how to snowboard in the snowy mountains. I really liked that Kylie herself was pretty fierce .

At the same time, like I said, the three books have the same plot and I already knew what was gonna happen. The dilemmas they have to face are pretty much their own feelings and there isn't really a plot other than they dealing with that - and the super hot sex they have, probably at some cabin in the middle of the snow mountain. Which is... pretty much the reason those books exist?

Anyway I still have trouble with all Hart brothers basically having THE SAME NAME (Ryder, Riley and Ryan?) but that's alright I guess? I like Janna, Leslie and Kylie and their friendship (even though they spend most of the time talking about their dates). We get to see their babies in this one too and that was cute.

2.5

Third and final story with the Hart brothers, this one about Ryan, the youngest, the alpha and the snowboarder. He's had what he considers a stalker in Kylie, the little blond, chubby woman who fell in love with him and follows him around. But he knows they're not meant to be, so he avoids her to keep her from getting more hurt than necessary, but he does desire her. After he has a horrible accident it's Kylie that pulls him out of his self-pity and it's Kylie he ends up in bed with. It's then that he realizes she is the one he wants, but when he tells her Kylie ain't having it. She's too stunned by the sudden turn around in his feelings to buy into it and rejects him. So he has to work overtime trying to win her back.

Kind of the same deal as the second one - these two are enjoyable to read about, but could give you whiplash with how quickly they change their minds about things. I like that at last we get a virgin woman who has experimented with herself and used sex toys...rather than those virgins who don't even realize they have erogenous zones. I liked that Ryan was as patient and caring as he was. Ryan was just overall likeable. I respected his reasons for kindly rejecting Kylie's advances and didn't like that he got made to look like the bad guy for not pouncing on her the whole year he had the chance. And it's not like he really abandoned her when he went to Australia, since they'd never been together. Unreturned affections does not make him an asshole, nor does an opening of the eyes after some really great sex. I can understand Kylie needing some time and space, but not the all out rejection she gave him. And I lost some respect for her when she kind of admitted it was payback for his rejection of her. But I kind of warmed up to her again and I liked Kylie up until the end of the story when she reveals that .

Brilliant

Bearthlete (Bearstone Park Book 3) by Terry Bolryder. Kylie wanted Ryan Hart the minute she saw him. Ryan Hart, bear shifter and good medal snowboarder wants a female bear. It takes a serious snowboarding accident to show Ryan what he is missing with Kylie.

Enjoyable Read

Another great storyline with characters that are entertaining and very likable. A great conclusion to the series. Editing was a little problematic. Definitely a series. I will enjoy rereading in the future.

I think this one was my favorite. Ryan knew his brothers' hearts but refused to recognize the yearnings of his own until he almost lost his love. Can't wait to read more from Terry.

3.50 Stars!!

Just finishing up this series. It is more a novella than a novel but not bad. What I love about shifter novels this one had...a tight community of folks who have each others backs...magical healing powers....love at first sight/inner animal recognizing his/her mate (it is okay, any pet I had knew instantly if he liked someone or not) I buy it. I love the power that these two go at it and the sex is very animalistic.

In this novella, we are not disappointed in this regard. This is the third of three novellas about three brothers. Coming home to their home town, a resort in the mountains after their father has passed away to get his matters all straightened out. He owned the resort by the way. the three brothers spot three local girls who are having a "girls night out" in the lodge and are instantly attacked to each other. One brother is a computer billionaire, One is a movie star and the other a ski board Olympian.

These are tall, handsome, athletic, rich, educated, top-of-the-food-chain shifters here....who are instantly drawn to three ordinary, slightly plump to "chubby" girls who each are very insecure, have problems with family and one even recently dumped by a guy who was cheating on her. But hey, when someone is meant to be your mate....it is meant to be!

Kylie is the owner of a Flower shop...she also does not need to work and is financially well off, we are not sure why until this novel. She is also another, as she describes herself, "chubby" and "fat" girl. She has set her sights for Ryan, the snowboard Olympian. Ryan seems to have his head together the most out of the three men. He sees things for what they are...But when it comes to Kylie, the curvy little blond, he is defiantly not interested. He prefers a more athletic type who can share his life with him on the slopes and who already is a bear and understands their life as shifters. He resists her through the first two books of this series and in this one comes home with a brain injury sustained while competing while at the X-Games.

He is feeling sorry for himself as his whole plan is out of wack and he is home getting his health together. He may never go back to snowboarding at that level again...so everyone says. They don't know he is a shifter and can heal alot faster than a human. Kylie goes over after everyone else tried, to get him out of bed and back to living his life. She knows he is not interested in her....she gave up on that dream a while ago and is there as a friend. she removes her boot and sock to show that she does not have a foot. that it was lost in an accident. She wants to show him that we all come back and can find life after a loss. This accident is the source of her large income. She asks him to teach her how to snowboard and he figures he has time to kill and it might be fun to teach her. Very soon, the real feelings he has had for her start to resurface. He has fought those feelings to obtain the shifter mate he thought he wanted...but the more time he spends with Kylie the more he realizes he wants her as his mate. When he switches from pushing her away to pursuing her, Kylie has a hard time accepting his sudden switch of mind and is insecure that a man who is that hot and famous would want her.

I liked the characters, the village people and story line. It was fun, light and an enjoyable read. In each of these novellas, finding the right time to tell them about their "grisly bear side" was always interesting and worrisome for the men. "Is it too soon? Will she accept me? Will she run?" In this case, Kylie is much more accepting of him than he would have anticipated once she decides to love him and accept him as a mate.

What did bother is me is how the author constantly reminded us how unevenly matched these two were....in fact the entire series is that way. Every other line talks about how overweight she is, how insecure she is and how he could have anyone...why her? I think this is a great story line if that was weaved in and out of the story. I have seen "uneven" couples where you wonder how they found each other and I can see one person feeling a bit inadequate. But this novella went on and on and on about it. I don't think you need to go on about it....we get it. He is a prize no matter what she looks like or how she feels about herself. Say a little bit here and there...deal with it the first time they have sex and move on.

I have to say this would have been a much higher rating if the author had not dwelled on her being "chubby", "curvy", "luscious" and having a figure to hold on to. That kinda took alot of the romance out of it as I was thinking the Author is uncomfortable with this and is trying to convince herself that these two belong together. Something is wrong if every page has to reinforce the reason as to why...he...is...with...she.

ps. .25 stars off for the name.....Bearthlete?

In the battle for her heart, he was taking home the gold. 5 GOLD BEAR PAWS

I want to be your hero, Kylie. You’re hot, Ry, but you aren’t everything. Damn, she was beautiful. WHOA!! Talk about an opening chapter! I couldn't put the book down even if I wanted to! Which I didn't and neither will you! WOW!!! What a FURTASTIC story!! I love how it all played out and am so thrilled that Ryan & Kylie got one helluva happy ending! I was so shocked & surprised at some of the events or things we learnt about Ryan and Kylie! I totally didn’t seen some of them coming at all! Of course, that is yet one more reason why this book (and all of Terry’s) are so BEARY FURRIFIC! From what I knew of Kylie from the other two books (Bearllionaire & Bearlebrity) I was expecting a different kind of story, but trust me! In no way, shape or form was I disappointed! In fact, quite the opposite!! I came to LOVE Kylie, loved her personality & fortitude and was so proud of her for…ACK! I can’t tell you why! Just like Bearlebrity, this one had a darker part to it, but it made everything more intense, more captivating and made the Happily Ever After part that much more meaningful. I loved the appearances & updates on the other couples as well, especially since this book took place about a year after the other two. I want to say so much more about Ryan and Kylie's story but I can't! At least not without giving spoilers which I refuse to do! Suffice it to say that this has all of the parts & pieces that I love about Terry's books. Like humor, friendship, romance, happy tears, sad tears (although thankfully not the hysterical sobbing like in Bearlebrity!), smoking-hot, snow-melting, adventurous "mating" that definitely had its own share of surprises & twists to it. I was so deeply submerged into the story that I felt like I was right there with Ryan & Kylie, heck that I WAS Kylie, experiencing it all with them, on the mountains, loving the snow, seeing the beauty, their friendship all the way through to their own HEA, and everything in between! (I think I was even sore from trying to snowboard as Kylie! LOL) Of course with Terry's phenomenal talent, it is all PAWFECTLY interwoven with one heck of a storyline that had me reading this all in one go, then going back and re-reading it! At the risk of being repetitive, Terry has outdone herself with this one!! I know I say that after almost every book, but IT IS SO BEARY TRUE! It truly does take an exceptionally gifted author to be able to write so many books and be able to keep them all fresh, exciting and unique. I have read quite a few of Terry's books but I have yet to find one book of hers that reminds me of, or is similar to the plot of another one of her books.

Terry Bolryder saved the best for last. Three brothers, three friends, four bears. The first two brothers gave in to their bear's claim of a mate but Ryan was more stubborn. He was determined that he would mate with another bear shifter as one of his brothers had. He ignored his bear and the hot, tiny woman who pursued him, a friend of his now sisters in law.

Ryan is a world famous snow boarder, until his has a terrible accident and injury that brings him back home. And the feisty woman he tried to ignore won't let him wallow while he recovers. He's off the circuit for a time and not happy. Kylie gives him a reason to come out and play and teach her basic snowboarding. Forcing them together to play in the snow temps them for more intimate play.

Kylie is stronger than than Ryan realized, she may not be a bear but she is an amazing woman who makes him fight for her. She chased him and he left her now she offers a challenge.

I loved the strength of character, the family ties and how their relationships grew. Hard to chose but this is my favorite of the three and I couldn't wait for any of them. Keep them coming Terry.

I was provided an ARC for an honest review.

Good points first: not boring, good pace, grammar and spelling perfect. Story is sweet as well.

However. This was my first book in this genre and I really didn't like it. The characters were just so one-dimensional. And as an overweight woman myself, I really resent this idea that fate/destiny/my scent makes a guy love me. Not my personality, not my spark, not my character. It's just an easy way out and so escapist, that it broke through my reading cocoon. I just couldn't follow the premise that no guy ever looked at this gorgeous woman until a shifter came along.

The sex scenes were okay - personally I like them a little steamier, although kudos to any author who writes them. I get way to embarrassed in my own writing :)

To conclude: I finished the book, the writing is good enough to have kept me engaged for most of the story, but the characterisation wasn't great. I probably won't read anymore of this author, sorry.

Fucking A. I think by the time I got to this book I have Stockholm Syndrome for these characters. This book had the drawbacks of the others - horrible spelling/editing, underdeveloped plot, things that made no sense, lots of facepalming. It might have been the most predictable though, after the first chapter I had an outline in my head of exactly what it would take for them to get to their HEA. I was hoping that we'd find out she was a badass shifter of some other variety and then disappointingly she just ended up being a plain ole human but at least we didn't have to deal with the competition/possessiveness component the 2 previous books had. I liked Ryan and Kylie though and their relationship seemed the most realistic and adorable of the bunch. The snowboarding was rather adorable and I thought she seemed very rational in her responses to him - the complete opposite of Janna (eh maybe she can be forgiven since her bear knew he was her fated mate or whatever).

Kiley has been chasing after Ryan Hart to get a chance with him since the brothers first came to Bearstone Park. But he won't give her the time a day, acts uncomfortable when she's around, or just flat out runs in the other direction. But when he returns after being injured training, she won't let him sit in his room and wallow in self-pity.

Ryan Hart is a professional athlete. He knows what he wants when he finds his mate, and it's not the sweet, curvy, HUMAN female who is stalking him. When he's injured and has to keep up appearances as still being injured he doesn't know what he's suppose to do with himself. But the human who he can't get out of his head is the last he expected to save him from wallowing. Kiley shows him a strength and adventure he never expected.

Will Ryan continue on with his hopes of waiting for a female bear mate or will he finally give in and realize what's been in front of his face for almost a year?

This is the final of three books of brother bear shifters and their BBW. Ryan is a Olympic snowboarder. He and his brothers inherit a lodge from their father. While there he meets human Kylie. She basicly chases him in the other books. He feels an attraction with her but its not enough for him to do anything but run. While in Australia he crashes and is injured. Now he is back and is a grouchy bear (pun intended). His family have Kylie corner him to pull him out of his funk. This story is different in that he has a dark side in the bed room. He is a dom needing a sub. But will Kylie accept all of him, bear and restraints and all. Liked this one more than the other two stories by Terry Bolryder.

Loved the bear shifters loved the previous books. But this one was by far the funniest. Ryan a snow boarding legend wants a bear shifter for a mate so he ignores his bear. Nothing good ever comes from ignoring your inner animal from his mate. So his bear decided to make him crash during the pipes tourmant to teach him a lesson. Talk about going to the extreme. Kylie is a strong and curyey women who has her sight set on ryan.

When Kylie wants ryan he dont want her back. But soon the tides change and Ryan is the one chasing after Kylie. Just brillaint. Must read for the Dets

A little hard to finish......

This is not a bad book. However it is not as strong as the first one. This one seems to have a bit too much narrative and not as much interaction between the two main characters. It seemed to "drag along" at times. The primary female character came across as not very mature and maybe it was just her inexperience coming through that made her seem a little adolescent. It was a challenge for me to finish it because it wasn't as interesting as the others.

Snow Love

Ryan and Kylie's store went full circle for me. In all of the other books in the series she was the pursuers and Ryan did not want to have anything to do with her, breaking her heart because she fell in love with him at first sight.

Ryan had in his mind he,was to have as a mate a tall, beautiful strong bear for his mate. He convinced himself he would settle for nothing less.

Fate has other plans in this snowboarder's story.

Very good.

So happy I found this series

These three bear brothers are sexy, strong, stubborn and alpha all the way! If you haven't read Ryder and Rylie's books you definitely need to! Today!
Ryan and Kylie are perfect together. Especially after they both see what has been right there all along. I can't wait to see where Mrs Bolryder will take us next.

Ryan, Ryan, Ryan!!!

I really enjoyed this last book in the series. I was not expecting to because the other two stories, while good, were almost the same. This one was very different. Ryan had been denying his feelings for Kylie all along. Now that he realizes she is his mate...can he convince her? I would recommend this to anyone

Take one hot snowboarder and a pint sized stalker, and you have the makings for a HOT and sizzling time. I know these 3 books are listed as stand alone, but I enjoyed them as a series. I also loved that they were no cliff hangers. I can't wait to read another one from this author. I recommend these 3 books to anyone loving shifters.

Ryan had some crazy ideas of what he wanted and denied his bear Kylie for a year. Now he realizes that she is everything he wants, but is it too late?
This was a great story and nice conclusion to the series. Ryan was kind of a jerk to Kylie, but when he works on 'wooing' Kylie, he is quite sweet.
Just a fun read
