The Clubhouse or 'House' is private. An elite playground. Its members are the power brokers on the Hill in D.C. The House is owned by seven congressmen...each a commanding Dom with a style all his own.
Every night a different Dom rocks the House, delivering raw elemental satisfaction. D.C. Dirty Dark Secrets is an erotic series with red-hot tales of what happens behind the opulent club doors where anything and everything goes.
Monday's Master: Ex-hockey player turned congressman, Troy Shepard butts heads with CIA operative Alicia Cruz. She's the one woman who defies him incessantly until he turns the tables in a night they'll both remember. As the House Dom and in acquainting Alicia with the art of submission, he's after every last dirty dark secret she possesses. He'll either spank the truth out of her or...bind her to his bed.
Is this author truly male? Because if he is, he sure as hell mimics typical female mannerisms in porn-writing. Oh, and yes, this is cheap contemporary porn. The sort which if forgettable and erotic only to the extremely needy. Maybe, that is.
Why do so many authors believe, that a misogynist arsehole is in any way erotic? Why do they think, that for an enjoyable hour or so I want to read about a man and his wheelings and dealings who I'd like to rather castrate with a rusty spoon instead? Oh and why am I expected to find non-con sexy in a story containing, allegedly, BDSM?
Recently I read the first 2 books in the “Dirty Little Secrets” series by Alex Elliott. I really enjoyed reading the story of Xavia and Bennett. Bennett and 6 of his closest friends/congressmen own an elite kink club. Troy is one of those friends. In the second book we already see some of Troy. The book “Master on the Hill” gives us a small part on the chemistry between Troy Shepard and his administrative hellcat. She’s been working for Troy for 11 months now. The work atmosphere is quite entertaining and now Troy proposes 1 night to Alicia. But will one night be enough? Which secrets will be revealed? We don’t get those answers yet in “Master on the hill”…
I enjoyed this story but unfortunately it’s too short to really get into it. I did love the chemistry between Troy and Alicia.
We’ll get to read more about them in the next book “Affianced To The Veep”.
I picked Master on the Hill up as a Kindle freebie, and it began with a good concept - a US congressman who secretly is a Dom wants to bring a staffer who rebuts his every command into submission. This is a whole lot like Beautiful Bastard only with politicians who like BDSM.
Getting dirty in DC.
However, the writing was abominable. As brief as this book was, you would think it would be better edited. This shortie was filled with clichés and grammatical errors.
Also, there was not much in the way of character development. I have nothing invested in these characters and could care less what happens next in the series.
Great story....The entire story makes you wonder what goes on in our nation's capital! The author developed the characters well, I immediately felt like I knew both of them. This story has everything a great book should have: angst, romance, HOT sex, suspense and twists at every corner. I constantly wondered how the author was going to pull these two together.
My only complaint would be that the book is too short! When it was over I couldn't wait to read it the next book in the series to find out what happens with our couple.
I'm not sure what happened. Right when the story took off, and was getting good, it ended. I want to know more about what's going on with the C.I.A., why, and can Troy help her out of her predicament. The sex scene was actually hot, and it was different to read that a sub actually used her safe word.
I don't want to read about Noah until I get some closure with Alicia and troy's story.

I recently discovered Alex Elliott, and I have become a fan. I started with Seduced by the Senator, and the second book. Master is the companion series, one for each Dom of the House. What I enjoy about Alex's books is the intriguing story, while the sex is hot, the story keeps you trapped, as good as any episode of Scandal.
I understand what a cliffhanger is, but this is not a cliffhanger. It's just an incomplete book. The characters seem interesting enough and the premise of the story is good. It just needs more development, a beginning, middle and an ending.
