Rachel thought she could make a name for herself in the medical field working with the hybrids of Luna Lodge. She never expected to be trapped between the deadly plans of the Horatius Group and the paranoia of the Luna Lodge hybrids. Even though they now distrust her and want her gone, she can’t leave while her closest friend is at death’s door.

Marius is tired of the disrespect of the other hybrids and the distracting Rachel. While he can’t deny his strong attraction to the doctor, her sharp personality makes her hard to deal with. Though he knows she wants to help the hybrids, he isn’t sure if the emotional armor she wears makes her a good fit. At the same time, he doesn’t want her to leave and to miss his one chance at a true mate.

When hybrids start falling ill under mysterious circumstances, Rachel and Marius will be forced to work together and face both their own passions and a deadly new threat to Luna Lodge.

Madison currently lives with her husband and two children in the Valley of the Sun. Phoenix, Arizona. After leaving the frozen tundra of the north, Madison was more surprised than anyone with how much she has enjoyed living in the desert. Seeing as she had stated on more than one occasion how much she hated the heat, it was an odd move. But it seemed her hatred for sub-zero temps and ice, or really the things that ice could do, won out in the end.
When she’s not writing, she’s enjoying time with her family. Madison and her family frequent festivals in the area, as well as local cultural events, and spend time with family in the area. In the summer she is most likely to be found in the pool with the family and in the winter by the fireplace. Since both her children are autistic, days can be a little chaotic but with her husband beside her, there’s nothing she can’t handle. Luckily he is also an author and able to share in all the activities (and chores) special needs kids require.
Madison has a full schedule of releases planned for 2014 listed and updated on her blog:

Great twists

I love all the Luna books and this one introduced some great new characters. this book was well written and definitely worth the wait. The trials the characters went through and forces that tried to keep the mains from getting together kept me on edge. I love it when a books can keep me interested the whole time, and this author hasn't let me down yet.

What’s up doc

You better have a box of tissues ready when you read this book. So many ups and downs and tears were falling as our courageous doctor struggled against opinion to save her friend. And connect with her man, they might even manage to find their HEA. The author brought so many different opinions and people together as the hybrids struggle for their very survival. I love how this story played out and I can’t wait to read what happens next.

Another winner

The Luna Lodge is my absolutely favorite series Me. Stevens write. I am always looking forward when she has a new book coming out from this series. Love Susan Bliler, Laurann Dohner, Lora Leigh, and now, Madison Steven breed/hybrid books. I hope this series goes on forever. lol. Looking forward to Apollo, Jenna, Rem and Paige's HE A. If you have read the first three Luna books then you know Rachel is an independent strong willed, really stubborn Herione and dedicated doctor who feels she only has one friend. She will do anything to save that friend even put up with distrust. Markus is a true alpha male who loves/hates Rachel, and also feels that his brothers look down on him. I enjoyed seeing him show them that he is a warrior too not just a computer guru. I also loved seeing him realize what Rachel meant to him. Think Rem maybe a bit of a matchmaker. The hybrids have more than one enemy and the storyline is intriguing to say the least. I know it's unrealistic to want another book immediately but what can I say they are just that good. Keep them coming Me. Stevens and I. Will keep buying.

Well worth the wait! Storyline was definitely a winner even if it did seem like everybody was against Rachel for the majority of the book. Loved that Marius stood by his woman despite circumstantial evidence. Loved Rachel and Marius as a couple. They were sweet, emotional and steamy romantic despite all the conflict going on around them. They both prove their worthiness not only in their eyes but in everyone else's also. Would recommend. So can't wait for more in this series.

This is the fourth book in the series and I really enjoyed it. It was a really emotional story for me because poor Rachel had to put up with a lot and she took it like a trooper but I would have loved to have seen more fight in her, where she perhaps left and they went to look for her with their tails between their legs including Marius. However I did actually love their story and I will most definitely lately continue reading future books in the 'Luna Lodge' series!

Great Story

I've gotta say this was not my favorite in the series. I hated how they were treating Rachel and how she was treated like a traitor so quickly especially after that was the plan in the last book to try to catch the traitors. However I did love it and am going to start the next one now. :)

Marius is good with numbers that the other hybrids forget that he was trained to fight just like they were. Rachel is resident dr. but it seems the whole group is against her thinking she is a traitor. Marius and Rachel getting together is hard work but they make it .

What's up doc?

Rachel had a hard time of it, as all the Vestals seem to do, but she never lost her smarts. Marius was frustratingly frustrated, but I think his timing wasn't too bad.

Marius: #4

I would almost think Apollo is a traitor if not r the fact that he is also a hybrid. I guess each new challenge or obstacle makes them a little more prepared to ensure safety. I knew Marius was attracted to Rachel and she wanted him just as much.

"Why did the job she loved have to hate her so much?"

Rachel is a research Doctor who finds herself surrounded by patients needing hands on care. Marius has a way with computers and numbers, but he's just as much a warrior as the rest of the hybrids.

This story is filled with trust issues and questions as both Marius and Rachel struggle with the job they are doing, and excelling at vs. what they trained to do, compounded by how they are certain others see them.

This is a done in one story, but it builds on things from previous stories, and is moving the overarching arc forward, so I'm glad I've been reading the stories in order.

It was a good book but Rachel annoyed sometimes with the attitude "I'm right and I know whats best" , like true or not she doesn't have to rub it in their faces and do everything her way. I also understood where she was coming from, the men were mean and nasty to her and that takes a tool in anyone. Marius, I liked him, he tried to fight what he felt for her but in the end it didn't work

2.5

I was not a fan of either of these characters in the previous books and this didn't really change that opinion.

In the previous book they mentioned more than once that she was being used as bait for the religious group who was targeting them.
Now all of a sudden, they are actually suspicious and there is no mention of that plan? I'm so confused...

Marius

Markus is 4 stars because poor Rachel was badgered and maligned to almost the end . Markus did stand up for her but it did take awhile for him to really accept & act on the fact that she was his mate.

I'll be honest this wasn't really like all the other books. This to be honest was a bit of a let down. There were moments I dug it and others made me wonder WTH. I really liked Rachel...her methods are a bit weird but she is a doctor and a scientist so thats to be expected. What I didnt count on was the animosity towards her from everyone. When the heck did that happen? I know things were a bit off in book 3 but to make her hated? Not cool! Her friends even abandoned her. Who does that? I mean the only friend she really had was Hannah and she was basically laid out fighting for her life and Lucien trusted her to save Hannah. I didnt see one other friend supporting Rachel and that pissed me off! Ram was good to her but he was kinda in the same boat a prisoner so to speak. Justus was ok but he really never talked to anyone and he was a prisoner too. Marius was bunking with her to "watch" her. So...prisoner. I didnt really feel any romance between these two. Lust yes but romance? Um no. He had the same feelings basically that the guys had. He didnt fully trust her either or understand her. He took up for her a few times but then in essence abandoned her sorta until he got his rocks off with her. I also think its hard for anyone to have any kinds of feelings well genuine ones when she is hated wherever she goes. I think this book was very rushed. Not sure why but it was. Lots of things made no sense compared to how the other books flowed. I dont hate the series because of it but I am disappointed with this book. I was expecting a lot out of it. :( I hope the other books are done better. I mean Lucius was excellent and then its like Marius got the short end of the stick or something. I have high hopes for the next book so hopefully I am not disappointed like I was here.

Terrible editing misspelled words misspelled names in one instance on one line the nurses name was spelled Paige the next line was spelled Page. This is throughout the whole book. Plot in this hard to follow, the love scenes terrible, abrupt ending whole book felt rushed. I would recommend this writer get beta readers to read through and recommend corrections as well as a real editor and not depend on spell check. Out of the four books in the series I think this one is the worse.

Obnoxious woman!

I enjoyed the first 3 of these books however this one fell short for me, Rachel the lead woman in this book was obnoxious and just not likeable it was a chore to read because of her character, I will continue to read the other books in this series as I've enjoyed this author's books before, might have been just me but she rubbed me up the wrong way from her character appearing.

So many things didn't make sense

The plot to this book was good, but the execution had a lot to be desired. The chemistry was off and on. The accusations and paranoia was not looked at as unusual until the end and I still don't understand why Rachel had to meet with the Reverend to save everyone. Ok read.

These books are relatively short (about 150 pages) but the author packs the story in without it being overwhelming! Can't wait to read the rest of them!
