The Redneck Debutante Series
A love story that's a little bit classy, a whole lot sassy.

Book 3 in the series. I would recommend you start at the beginning however I think this one is my favourite so far. 5 out of 5 stars with a Teen Rating.

Rachael is now a senior in high school and her relationship with Travis is progressing in the right direction. They are becoming closer and assessing what they want out of their relationship. Rachael is a devoted catholic and is trying to stay in line with the plans she sees for herself. She wants to go to college and experience life and seeing the drama unfolding around her is helping her stay on the right path.
I look forward to reading the next instalment.

I have been waiting for a while for the third book to come out in the Redneck Debutante series and I wasn't disappointed! Another great book by Jenny Hammerle. I am really hoping there will be another book in the series to at least tie up loose ends with all the characters!

This is a young adult clean novel with lots of lessons in it for this older teenager group.
There are of course lots of discussions about purity and purity pledges and just when is it right to have sex with your boyfriend and at what age is it right to get married.
It is clearly written from the viewpoint of the Christian right wing and strong belief in the church and god. But I don’t think that this necessarily takes away from the story. Personally I am not sure it helps the discussion of sex before marriage but the strong hormones that rampage about at this age are mentioned. I did like the idea of asking younger siblings to be chaperones. I doubt that this would actually work very well in practice though.
Teenage pregnancy and drug taking are also included in the story as examples of how bad things can happen when hanging out with the wrong crowd etc. And it was a shame that the pregnancy and a discussion of whether or not there should have been an abortion did not come up but I suppose form the Christian right this would never have even been considered as a way forward. But it would have been nice to see a rationale other than’ all life is holy’ given against abortion. It after all is the choice of many teenagers in that situation.
This book was set in the redneck areas of Florida – which are still ranching country and still also set in many old-fashioned ways according to the city smart kids – who are not considered in this book and thus it may have limited appeal to them.
It will appeal of course to those who a: love cowboys and b: love horses as there are lots of both in the story.
When it came to cowboys, one thing that did surprise me was the point made that ‘real’ cowboys don’t wear underwear as it chafes under their very tight jeans. Now it seems to me that the opposite would be true.. denim being rather rough cloth after all and that being a rather delicate part of a man’s body..
So being the curious person that I am I Googled the question and the answer seemed to be: 1. Wear wranglers as the thick seam down the leg is on the outside and thus doesn’t chafe. 2. If you don’t wear underwear, your attributes are very easy to spot! Which may or may not be a good thing.. depending on what you are trying to achieve, but not a good thing for this book’s audience. So, soft, well fitting seemed to be the answer. Briefs or jersey boxers.

REVIEW

Settting: Manatee County, Florida

Two seniors in high school, in love? waiting for their wedding day but both of them not sure they will ever see that day. Will Rachael and Travis be wed?

Rachael has been planning her future and as all young adults and teenagers, they think they have it all figured out. But do they ever really? She believes she loves Travis but it seems like everyone and even her hopes and dreams are standing in the way of her and Travis. Is this the right path for Rachael to take?

Travis is struggling with keeping his own passion in check. Rachael feels pressured to take a very important step that she's not sure she wants to take. She is torn between Travis and her heart. She wants what should be forever, but do you ever know if love will last forever? Does anything last forever?

The author did a wonderful job of putting the reader at the scenes. You feel like you're right there with Rachael and Travis. It is so realistic because I'm sure any reader could relate to their plight or know some high schooler who is there.

I would advise to read book One and Two first to get the entire feel of the series.

I was given a complimentary copy of COWGIRL STRONG-REDNECK DEBUTANTE, Book 3 from the author Jenny Hammerle for my unbiased view of the book.

Thanks to the author, who was very nice and gave me all three books.I'm going to review all the trilogy. This books were sweet and it was a nice change from all those with relationships where all that matters is having chemistry and sex. The downside is that they spend most of it talking about who is having "it" and who isn't and why they should or shouldn't be having it.
The good thing is that the first book is like an introduction, how they came to be. The second is good too. The thing is that in the first two ones it doesn't happen nearly anything (and I was fine with that) and I felt like this one was too rushed, too many things with not much depth to them.
The characters were all good, just they weren't developed enough for my taste.(Except the two main ones).
In conclusion, the first ones are good and sweet, with some funny scenes, but not much more. The final one was the one I liked the least, but it was exciting enough.

MY REVIEW
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
Two teenagers in love ….. all the ups and downs, the hardships and pressures.
A must read for all teenagers and their mums and Grans. I enjoyed reading this, taking me way back to when I was young with all the important decisions that one has to made about your adult life.
I read this book as a stand-alone, it works well, with scenes being described making you feel you watch a movie. Having read this one I would love to read the other two as well, completing the series.
Jenny is one of those authors who gets you hooked on her characters pretty easily, with a story line that is universal, (teenagers all over the world struggle with the same things) and a style that is fun to read. It makes you want to read all her books. I can highly recommend any book of Jenny Hammerle and are looking forward to her next book.

The third book in this series continues to keep us entertained with this pure, yet realistic love story. Rachael and Travis have to make decisions that will affect their future and the bigest question they have to answer for themselves is "how do you know you made the right choice?".
I read this book in one sesion, because it was just that good and can't wait for the next book in the series.

Loved it! Even better than the first and second books in the series. Without adding any spoilers, I just want to say that you will really enjoy this story whether you have read the series or are reading this as a stand-alone novel.
