Lincoln craves Victoria but she believes she is a monster so he'll have to convince her that sometimes light comes from the darkest shadows in this riveting paranormal romance.
Just when I think I have a handle on the happenings in Edenton, new players are added to the series that changes all the rules adding lots of excitement and ensuring that I never know what will happen next. The strong compelling characters of Edenton always demand attention but Lincoln and Victoria speak right to the heart with their heartwarming romance and the sweet and hot sex scenes adds lots of heat to the story while the fast paced and smooth flowing plot keeps anticipations high with lots of suspense, excitement and romance.
Enemies with sick twisted minds and a devious plan have set their sights on Victoria and Lincoln and they'll take as many of the inhabitants of Edenton as they can get just for the heck of it. Expectation and excitement builds throughout the story as the danger escalates while Lincoln tries to convince Victoria that they are right for each other although they both have some issues to work through, adding lots of depth to the story. The well written scenes and details bring the story to vibrant life and along with the well thought out events draw the reader and make them feel as if they are right in the middle of the action and the glimpses of all of Edenton's citizens just makes me fall more in love with the community and ensures that the readers will be back for more.
The author brought these to characters to such vivid life and I have to say that while both characters spoke to my heart, Lincoln completely won it with his sweet endearing personality and it was a true delight following along as he gained the confidence to turn into such a warrior and win his true love's heart. I was completely spellbound by this story from beginning to end and I can't wait to visit Edenton to find out what happens next.

I absolutely LOVE Ms Rivers' Others of Edenton series, and it is always such a treat when a new one is released. I have been wondering whether she has the whole series mapped out, or writes as the muse takes her, because the interplay and time shifting storylines are so brilliantly tied together. I have not read one which hasn't transported me, or made me wish I were in Edenton!
This is a really, really lovely story about two wonderful characters, and I just forewent a night's sleep because I could not stop reading. Magical! I love that old friends have such significant parts in later books, and that individuals grow and develop into their new roles. This story grabbed me in the prologue, and got even better from there.
Lincoln has always be a quiet person, his mother was very religious. She brought him up to always do the right thing. Their only disagreement before she died, was the woman Lincoln wants.
Victoria is a vampire and a Shadow walker. She believes she is far too evil for a pure man like Lincoln. But can't resist watching him in the shower.
When Lincoln finally gets up the nerve to ask her out, someone attacks. That is when he and the rest of Edenton realise he is more than they thought.
There is a group called HARP that have been experimenting on " others" . They have now set their sights on Victoria and Lincoln.
Although this is part of a series, you could read it as a stand alone. But beware if you do, you will find yourself looking for ALL the other books. The series is set in a town where the inhabitants are "others" of just about every type you you can think of.
The main battle in this particular story is really gripping. The creatures that have been created by HARP are just about as scary as you can imagine.
If you are not already addicted to this series, you will be soon.

I've been hooked on this series since I first read one of the books as part of an anthology. I've read all of the Others of Edenton and Seattle books and Fallon has always been my favorite, until now. I loved Lincoln, maybe a little bit of it is because of the affinity I have to his particular species of "Other" or maybe it's because he's just such a sweet, sexy, caring and hot guy.
I wondered when Ms. Rivers was hinting about what Lincoln was how he was going to fit with Victoria, but I knew I wouldn't be disappointed, they compliment each other beautifully and fill the empty places each has inside.
We have another evil group of protagonists out to harm the Others, I can't wait for them to arrive in Edenton so all of our old friends can get together and kick some butt again.
Great series, smokin hot love scenes and sweet tender moments, I laughed, I cried and I can't wait for more.

FINALLY! Lincoln’s story. I have long awaited to see just what or who Lincoln really is and if he will ever man up and go after his girl. Lincoln story starts off with some a very erotica shower scene. And at no point dose Mrs. River disappoint in the sex scenes, don’t like the shyness of Lincoln fool you. On top of these we meet a new big baddie and to me it for sure is one of the worst ones yet. Mrs. Rivers has a way of keeping this world fresh and evolving with a wide variety of characters and creatures. Another great read in this series for sure.

I start by saying this was a pre release review. I truly enjoyed reading this book it is book 6 in the series so be sure you grab the rest first. This is Lincoln & Victoria's story. The Once Shy Boy steps into his Manhood in so many ways within these pages. There is plenty of romance & action from cover to cover. I highly recommend this book to everyone with a passion for paranormal romance. I do not want to give to much away But i will say a family reunion will happen with in these pages that will touch your heart and warm your soul. I found this series to be well written and the characters truly pull you into their world page by page. I look forward to reading many more stories from this author in the future..

*sighs* Lincoln was so dreamy, "when he made eye contact he said, “I’m glad I didn’t disappoint." He could be such a gentlemen, "go, before I decide I can’t let you walk away without having you again." No matter how much he needed her Lincoln always made sure to put Victoria's comfort and safety and needs first, "he wet his lips, his chest heaving. “I need hard. Promise you’ll tell me if I hurt you." Compared to the other guys in this series Lincoln is more down to earth and softer but he doesnt hesitate to go bada** when needed

This is the sixth book in the Others of Edenton series. I loved it!
Lincoln is a wonderful character. I liked him a lot. He has been in the periphery of the storyline for the most part as a secondary character since the first book, so I was glad this story gave me a chance to get to know him better. He has been attracted to Victoria for a while, but due to his sheltered upbringing, he has an innocence about him and he is rather shy. However, since the death of his mother, he has come out of his shell a lot more and gained confidence. He knows it'll be hard to win Victoria's heart, but as danger threatens and brings them closer together, can he show her that she's not the monster she thinks she is?
Victoria is also a wonderful character. I liked her a lot too. She is a vampire - a shadowstalker to be precise - who has fought hard to not feed on Other blood for several years. She is also attracted to Lincoln, but is determined not to give in to the temptation he represents. When she finds herself the target of an organisation that hunts Others, she must decide whether to embrace her inner darkness or entrust her heart to Lincoln.
This is a hard review to write because I don't want to give any spoilers. I will say that I thought this book has been the best of the series so far. I love the way Lincoln and Victoria's relationship unfolded. Lincoln is so determined that Victoria be his, he keeps chipping away at the wall she's placed around herself that she's got only one choice, and that's to surrender.
There are several twists and turns in this story, along with a few surprises, which kept me hooked. As secrets are revealed, Lincoln comes into his own. I enjoyed watching him gain even more confidence and see how his character grew. Victoria grew as a character too. There is a definite story arc developing as an organisation called HARP is introduced. This organisation seems to be playing with both human and Other fears and pitting them against each other. What their end game is, I'm not sure. One thing I am sure of is that this book has a lot of action. I enjoyed meeting the residents of Edenton again, even though they always seem to be under siege from someone's enemy. However, there are several new characters introduced, though some were introduced in prior books but only had minor roles. Declan, Fallon and Devlin's father, is now sharing a house with Victoria as she is his sponsor since being turned into a vampire. We also get to meet Hadraniel and Jophiel, who are both angels. Byron is a young man bent on revenge, Monty is his brother (and a vampire) and they are both in HARP. Then there is Mena and Jones, who are the leaders of HARP. They are not exactly human and feed off of pain and fear of their victims.
The story is a mix of romance, magic and danger, and takes the reader on an emotional roller coaster ride from start to finish. It felt like I'd only just started reading and then it finished! But, having said that, I raced through the pages as I was completely gripped by the story. Though this book does not finish on a cliffhanger, it left me looking forward to continuing the series with Blissful Agony to find out what happens next.
Brandy L. Rivers has written an entertaining paranormal romance series. I love her fast paced writing style, and the flow is wonderful. Her characters are lifelike and likable. With her ability to write in both the paranormal and contemporary romance genres, she is one of my go to authors when I'm in the mood for a sexy read.
Due to explicit scenes of a sexual nature, as well as use of bad language, I do not recommend this book to readers under the age of 18. However, I do recommend this book if you love hot erotic paranormal romances full of sexy men and determined women. - Lynn Worton

Brandy L Rivers is one of the few authors that I completely trust when writing books. Anything she publishes, I will buy. Anything. Her writing style is just so…captivating, intriguing, AMAZING. I can’t help but get lost in her stories!!! It truly is wonderful. She can write some SEXY scenes like no other and at the same time, she can give you some action-packed scenes that make you feel like you are not turning the pages fast enough!! Gah!! It really feels like an escape from reality when I’m reading one of her books. Light in Darkness was no different.
That prologue!! Gosh! It made my heart MELT and then ACHE. *Sigh!* Suffice it to say, right off the bat, I was hooked. I did not want to put down my book. Nope. I wanted to sit in bed all day and read Lincoln and Victoria’s story.
“He’s pure light and I’m shadows and evil.”
It was SO refreshing to read a book where the hero was the good guy and the heroine, the “broken” one…sort of. Victoria considered herself to be evil and all kinds of BAD. Her internal battles were very much present. She was extremely hard on herself because of her past, but Lincoln didn’t care about any of that. He was this very sexy gentleman that WANTED Victoria. He loved her for her. He saw past everything. He saw her.
Loving someone was a new feeling for Victoria and loving Lincoln was kind of tearing her up inside. She knew he was different. He was SPECIAL and she did not want to “ruin” him. She would not allow herself to be that selfish. Thing is, she was NOT a bad person…at all. She just didn’t give herself any credit. Victoria was actually VERY nice and selfless.
“You don’t want to know my darkest secrets, Lincoln. I don’t want you to hate me as much as I hate myself.”
“Then you don’t know me very well. I can’t imagine hating you.”
*Sigh…* When it comes to romance, Brandy L Rivers can sure make her readers swoon…and squirm. ;) But when it comes to drama, action, and suspense, she nails it very well too! In this installment, we saw the Others of Edenton face a new enemy – HARP. Talk about feeling like I was at the edge of my seat!!!!!! Boy oh boy!
This series honestly, keeps getting better and better. Just when I thought the last book I read was the best, Ms. Rivers publishes another masterpiece. If you haven’t yet, one-click this SERIES. While I’ve read them out of order and that has NOT diminished the AMAZINGNESS of each book, I would recommend reading them accordingly. It will make the experience even better. Every book in this series is a MUST read!!! FIVE WONDERFUL STARS.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
Brandy L. Rivers is one of my favorite and go to paranormal writers. I love that she can write a great love scene and then turn around and write a kick ass fight scene that not only the males in the story are a part of but the females too. Her females are tough and can fight alongside their men but also love their men. Once you pick up one of her books you cannot put it down.
This is Lincoln and Victoria story. Lincoln is the quite shy one that everyone in town has watched grow up. Victoria is a shadowstalker who Lincoln has had his eye on for a while. Victoria is interested in Lincoln but is convinced that she is dark and evil and Lincoln is pure and light. She does not want her darkness to put out his light. Lincoln is determined to show Victoria that she is his and there is no way she is evil nor will her darkness put out his light.
When Lincoln finally gets up the nerve to ask Victoria to spend time with him someone from HARP an Others Hunters group try to take Victoria out. In the process they realize Lincoln is more than what everyone thought he was when he tries to protect her. Now not only is Victoria on HARP’s radar but so is Lincoln. Will this be the thing that pushes these two apart before things get started or will it be the thing that brings them together?
I loved how Lincoln was not all Alpha male like most of the other males in this series. He was kind, sweet, and loving but don’t get me wrong he was not one to let someone walk over him and he knew how to take the lead when needed when it came to him and Victoria. Victoria was understanding and would show Lincoln things and would let him take over when he was comfortable. I loved the training scenes with Lincoln and Clint. As always Brandy had me turning pages and sitting on the edge of my seat the suspense and action was wonderful. If you have read the other books in this series hurry and go One-click this!

I really loved this novel. With it being book 6 I hope you are already as hooked on this series as I am. This one is another heart warming and fun read. Sometimes I see a pair coming, and other times like with Dacia and Preston, I don't. This was another one that I didn't see coming. Lincoln and Victoria.
I love a good story that can do that to me. Throw a curve ball. It keeps you engaged and really has you evaluating the characters. With Lincoln and Victoria it was a fun ride. They are quite opposites to me, but still in the end fit perfectly. I don't know how brandy does it. She knows exactly who is meant for who and it is always a perfect fit. I suppose that would be because ti is her world in the end.
Lincoln knows what he wants and weather Victoria is ready for it or not, love is coming her way.
A story of a woman who has a past she must come to terms with and a man who is finally coming into himself. These are characters we have dealt with before, but they are finally being brought to the front of our minds for this read. I love it.
Throw in the evil twits with this novel and not only was it a beautiful love story, but it was a story that kept you on the edge.

First off I need to say I am giddy I was able to beta this book! This is my favorite paranormal series. I am a huge fan of Brandy Rivers. NOW that that is out of the way, Lol, I need to tell you how excited I am about Lincoln and Victoria's book! I am a voracious reader and books always have some kind of effect on me but very few can draw out a myriad of emotions like this one did. I laughed at certain parts, I hurt like hell for Lincoln at certain parts, and yes I even cried at one part.
This installment is by far my favorite of the series and that is saying something since I adore the entire series.
Lincoln is the shy youngster that everyone kindof looks after. He has had a crush on Victoria for a long time. Victoria has been watching him but doesn't think she is good enough for him. She views herself as a monster because of her past. A past she was forced into and had to make impossible choices.
When these two finally connect, can a group of Hunter's seperate them? Lincoln finally reveals his Other side to protect the love of his life. Putting him and her in more danger.
We get to meet Jophiel, Lincoln's father, and coincidentally, I believe the love of my life! Ha! (Just kidding....kindof!) And Lincoln's beautiful mother who did everything she could to protect her son and hear their heart wrenching back story.
My favorite line from the whole book is 'I'm the darkness and he's the light. I can't be the one to snuff out his fire' (This very well could be my next tattoo)
If you are a paranormal lover, this is a must read series. Plenty of spicy sex, and amazing characters!

Light In Darkness is the sixth installment of the, Others of Edenton series, by Brandy L Rivers. This book is about Lincoln and Victoria. Lincoln is a nephilim, a child born to a human mother and angel father. Victoria is a vampire who has a dark past, but has managed to turn her life around. Lincoln has been sheltered by his mother and is naïve when it comes to life experiences. But now that his mother has passed away, Lincoln wants the world to see him as a man; specifically he wants Victoria to see him as a man. Victoria feels she is not worthy of his attentions or his love, because of her disturbing past. Slowly but surely Lincoln, manages to convince Victoria that there is still good in her and that he loves her. However, their happiness is threatened by evil that is set on destroying not only them but also the Others of live in Edenton.
To be honest, I was not sure how Lincoln’s story was going to play out. In the previous books he seemed too sheltered and afraid of those around him. Victoria almost seemed too damaged as well. Yes, she has turned her life around but she did not love herself enough to forgive herself. I was pleasantly surprised with how the author told their story. It was sweet, hopeful, and it had a certain amount of innocence that you could not help but love in combination with their share of passion. I do hope that we get to see more Lincoln and Victoria in the upcoming books.

I have to confess. I was afraid that without reading the first 5 books I will be lost. But no such thing. The story is flawless and the reader will not have any problems with following the action. And the story? The story was perfect. I loved every word, letter, comma in it.
The story is well written and all characters are well developed. You just get sucked in their world and you never want to come back. Brandy has an amazing style of writing. It's captivating, mesmerizing. I fell in love with it straight away.
The book is amazing and sexy from the beginning. The prologue made my heart soar, break at the same time. And this was only a beginning. When we meet the main characters, Victoria and Lincoln, you can feel their connection straight away. And it's not only lust and passion. There is SO MUCH MORE.
What I loved the most about the book is the fact that the girl was the bad one, the broken one, the tainted one. Not the guy. And it was her that wanted to protect him from her ugliness. She knew that he was pure, innocent and special, and because of that she wanted to protect him. But he wasn't having that. He wanted to prove her that he is not a kid, but a grown up man.
This story is so seriously HOT. Amazing. Made me go and buy all previous parts :)

Lincoln has grown up in Edenton but until recently he was shy and led a very sheltered life. After his mother passes he decides it’s time to grow up and go after what he wants, and what he wants is Victoria, the vampire who has haunted his dreams for years. Victoria has been secretly watching Lincoln from afar. Though she craves him like an alcoholic craves liquor she keeps her distance for fear of tainting him because of her past. When Lincoln approaches her she simply can’t refuse him and so begins what has the potential to be a great romance. Unbeknownst to them someone is out to get Victoria. When their date ends with shots being fired no one knows what to think at first. Once they gain a lead and learn who is behind not only wanting to wipe Victoria out but also any super naturals that get in their way everyone in Edenton bands together to fight off this invading evil force. With the new threat on the horizon Lincoln discovers things about himself and with these new revelations shocks everyone around him. People he never thought he would encounter enter his life at just the right moment to help him and the residents of Edenton. Will the residents of Edenton prevail? Will the changes that Lincoln go through convince Victoria that he is perfect for her or cause her to have more doubts? A great addition to the Others Of Edenton Series!

I love the Others of Edenton series after reading the first book of the series I was hooked and cannot wait until the next one is released. Lincoln, half angel and Victoria, a Shadow Walker vampire, have been circling each other for a long time. Lincoln watched her from afar for years and Victoria just started seeing Lincoln as a man and became interested. Everything changes when he invites her over for dinner. Something happens that night forcing him to protect her and his wings appear. Through it all he figures out he will do anything to protect her and he finally gets to meet his father. A group out to kidnap and experiment on Others to create a hybrid army called HARP set their sights on Victoria at first but once they learned about Lincoln he became a target as well.
I love how characters from all the other books are always in the midst of things helping each other and protecting loved ones. While other characters have found their mates we are able to see them continue to grow and I love that about this series. They do not become shelved characters. In earlier books Lincoln always seemed so sheltered and innocent it was nice seeing him come out of his shell and become a great man. Between his innocence and her troubled past they are perfect for each other and that comes out on page.

This was another long awaited book in the Others of Edenton series, I’m amazed by this author’s ability to get readers gripped on a character that we actually know very little about and then when they get their own book all expectations we could ever have about that character is blown right out of the water. In short I thought this book was fantastic!
The main characters are Lincoln and Victoria, these are both characters that have persevered through 5 + other books before they could live out their own story. I have been waiting for Victoria’s book since meeting this character in the first book and it by no means disappointed. The two characters have their own very unique backstory that is fantastically written in this book. The characters come together in this book, a long awaited coupling, and makes the audience fall in love with them all over again.
As always in this series there are many secondary characters however I am not going to review them because they will either have already been reviewed from a previous book or might be reviewed later on in a book of their own.
The pacing and storyline as always are brilliantly original and add something new to Edenton. These are the types of books that I will never get tired of, and I cannot wait to read the next one, whenever that may be.

Lincoln is viewed as a boy and I guess with all the Others he lives around he could be considered the baby of the group. He has dreams of Victoria and even tries to lure her in but is not successful.
Victoria is a century old vampire who sees herself as darkness. She lives on the premise that no matter how much she gives back to her community and helps others, she cannot atone for the past mistakes she makes. Therein she does not feel that love should be wasted on her.
When darkness and light collide, lives are forever changed. This was such a sweet romantic tale set amid the chaos that seems to always be lurking around Edenton. The Others want to live a peaceful life but someone always wants to take that away from them. I love that while these two are linking together the story involves so many supporting cast members and continues to tie everyone together. Brandy manages to keep us interacting with all the characters we have fallen for in previous books, but then we fall in love with new ones. The only question I am left with is how do I find room in my heart for them all? I cannot pick one I love more than another, kind of like my kids. You love them all for different reasons.

Victoria sees him, but she doesn't want to corrupt the pure goodness that he is. Can he convince her they are meant to be? Will the past that constantly haunts her come back at her just when she is ready to let it all go?
Lincoln is such a sweetie, he cares for everyone and is only just coming out of his shell. He is the kind of person you want to be there with you helping talk you off the ledge when you think everything is going wrong in your life.

The Others of Edenton is a great paranormal romance series and I look forward to each new release. This one is Lincoln and Victoria's story which I enjoyed more than the last one, Dacia and Preston's story. The one thing you can count on in these stories is getting more about the previous characters as well since they often make an appearance or are integral in dealing with the latest bad guys.
Lincoln was always quiet and mostly kept to himself in the previous books and watched Victoria from afar. He was very innocent and lacked the confidence to approach her. Well, that certainly changes in this book that is full of action, humour, and some very hot and steamy scenes. Victoria comes across as a very strong and confident character in the previous books but as we get to know her, we realize she's also lacking confidence but for very different reasons than Lincoln. Together, Lincoln becomes the man and other he is meant to be and Victoria is finally able to see that she is deserving of love in spite of her dark past.

Brandy Rivers has done it again. I always love getting to spend time in Edenton. I was so excited when I first saw a post that said Lincoln was the next book. I have loved Lincoln since he appeared in Jess and Slater's story. Lincoln is such a kind and caring individual I knew he would have a great book. It was also nice to get some of the backstory to his parents as well.
I have to admit I have also been curious about Victoria. I knew there was more to her than the cool and aloof front that was shown in the past. I just knew she had to be a very good person to be willing to save Jess. I was crossing my fingers that something good would happen for her as well.
It was also really good to see Preston and Dacia, as well as a little of Slater, Jess, Fallon, Liz, Robert, and Hayden. I always love getting to see characters from prior books and know they are doing good. This book had a good pace, I read most of it in one setting because I had to know what was going to happen for Lincoln and Victoria. I would recommend this book to all my reading friends.

Yay. Another Others of Edenton book.
I salute the author for another well done book especially Lincoln and Victoria. Their chemistry was scorching at the same time I just loved those sweet moments. Don't let Lincoln's [shy] personality fool you, there's more to him than meets the eye (especially when his true nature as Other was revealed).
I liked the new characters and how the world just keeps getting bigger and if there's the good guys, let's just say the bad guys upgraded too but that makes the story interesting, more so with the romance/relationship between H/h.
I understood Victoria's reluctance in wanting a relationship with Lincoln because of her "past" and even though it kind of frustrated me, I'm so happy for Lincoln's perseverance. That's right fight for your true love.
This has a very fast pace plot which I loved and with it's hot romance plus a little something more. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Have to say, I've been a little bit in love with Lincoln since he first stepped on to the pages of the series, as the shy kid who had little to say but a lot under the surface. I was thrilled when Rivers decided to approach his story... and more than a little surprised that Victoria would be the love interest. Victoria is another character who has always been fascinating, but for entirely different reasons. Dangerous, seductive, and you never quite know where she stands on things morally, though she's helped save the day more than once. Though an unlikely pairing at the outset, watching the two of them come to terms with their individual demons turned them into a real power couple of this series. Lincoln's sweet overtures to help her see the best in herself, and Victoria bringing Lincoln further into the man he was always meant to become, is a great love story. If I loved Lincoln before, I love him even more so now.

His light outshines her darkness!
This has been my favorite Others of Edenton book since Slater and Jess!! I remember how shy Lincoln was when we first met him, it was great to see him as a strong man and not just a awkward boy. Plus we got to see more of Victoria's good side. And now a bit about the story...
Now that Lincoln is in his own house and away from his mother's ghost, he has got the courage to ask Victoria out. After a great dinner party, they are about to extend the night in her home theatre when a shot rings out. Lincoln's protective instincts kick in and he sprouts wings, along with a shield and bright white light. Now that he seems to be an angel, what will happen to Victoria's irrational fear of taking his innocence and not being good enough?
Favorite passage: “Sometimes, you have to find your own path, regardless of what people around you think or say.”

I had not read a single word written by Brandy L Rivers that I didn't love. Light in Darkness is no exception! I LOVED this book!
We have seen little pieces of Lincoln though some of the other books and we have been given little hints that he is a great guy, I am glad he got his own book!
VIctoria is a woman who has had a long and painful life, most of which she feels she has caused the pain of others. SHe sees herself as evil and yet she is falling for Lincoln...the epitome of goodness.
What's a girl to do??? Thats right! Stalk him in the shower!!! Don't panic.... he knew... he knew...
You have to read this the whole Others of Edenton Series, you just have to!!!!
