THE PRICE OF SAVING A LIFE

At age sixteen, Sarah’s parents died in a tragic accident. Hurt and lonely, Sarah’s grandmother sent her away from their small town Kentucky horse farm to work as a groom for the summer on a large estate. But when Sarah returned, the horses were gone, and she was left with something unexpected.

THE COST OF YESTERDAY’S SORROWS

Six years later, Sarah starts the Silver Wind Equine Rescue, determined to fill her family’s stable with horses once more. When a rescued horse brings Michael Wolfe back into her life, Sarah fears losing the only piece of family she has left—her son.

Even though she’s not sixteen anymore, the memories of that summer on Michael’s family estate flood her heart. Careless as a teenager, Michael is now a veterinarian, and her new next door neighbor. There’s only one thing lingering between them, Sarah’s secret. Can she bring herself to confess the truth about that summer? She may have no choice in the matter. Both her heart and her best friend, Jenny, would never let her escape Michael a second time.

It is missing something

A good book and very nearly perfect but there are so many unanswered questions in my head. Especially how he got mad at her when he found out, but his Mom see was the one who caused the problem. if she would have told him the girl was there. But she didn't. That part made me so mad. And he was so sanctimonious when he admitted he'd chased girls in college and was a bad boy until he found God. Well treating her like that at the end was not something somebody who believed in God would do. You forgive. She forgave him for crying out loud when he never came to find her. And why was that? If he loved her he would have gone to see why she disappeared. The heroine did annoy me too by not telling him the truth. She let it go on too long. I better stop writing this review because I am getting so upset I am ready to take another star away. I just didn't believe the HEA at all. It was too rushed and he had been a total jerk. And who put the letter on the seat? And who locked her in the stall that night? And why did that girl Andrea kiss him if she was engaged and all he'd ever been was his friend. She sure acted like they were more. And Josh is doing something illegal in am sure. Too many holes. Just want all the answers.

I really enjoyed this book. I was caught up in the lives of the characters from the first pages. It is a wonderful story of forgiveness and second chances. The setting for the story which is a rescue ranch for horses also adds a lot to the story. This author is certainly knowledgeable about the care of horses and running a ranch and that comes through in the story. This is the first I have read by this author and I certainly look forward to reading more by her and will be looking forward to the next book in this series. I was gifted with an e-book copy of this book in return for an honest review, and it is one that I can definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys a good Christian romance and loves stories about horses and ranching.

What a great story about forgiveness and trust. I found myself experiencing lots of emotions while reading this book. Pain, tears, happiness and love for the characters. The idea of having a rescue rance for horses is a wonderful medium for this story. Highly recommend this for all ages. I was given a copy of this book for a fair review.

A good clean Christian romance. This book contains forgiveness, trust issues, teen pregnancy and so much more. Being an animal lover I enjoyed the idea of a horse rescue farm, so many animals are abused. My first book by this author but I look forward to the next book in the series.

Sarah's parents were killed when she was a teenager. Grif striking she was sent to live with a grandmother. Her grandmother sent her away from the family horse ranch to work at a well known horse ranch. Because she was fired she was sent back to her grandmother, who never let her forget how she had dishonored her family. When sh came back home grandma had sold all the horses, including Sarah's own harse and closed up the barn. Again her heart was broken.

Six years later after she had buried her grandmother, she inherited the family ranch. She aimed to turn it into a rehabilitation ranch for abused horses. Two of her friends came to help her, but she was always short of money and hanging on by a shoestring. She wasn't concerned for herself, but only for her five year old son.

Meanwhile trouble came when Michael Wolfe, her old heart throb and father of her child, bought the ranch next door. He was now a vet, and was setting up a fancy place to care for horses. Sarah didn't want anything to do with him, but he was the vet for her abused horses. She didn't want him to know that he had a son.

Read the story and see how complicated life can get when you are keeping secrets. This is a very well written story. One that you don't wish to put down .

Forgotten Reins was a complicated take with a lot misunderstanding.

Sarah had undergone a lot of loss and disappointments. She and Michael were from different social standing and his mother did all she could to keep them apart. Her grandmother made bad decisions when Sarah's parents were killed. Therefore her son became her main focus. Now she was determined to establish a rescue center for neglected horses, with the help of Jenny and Josh. When Michael shows up to work with the retiring veterina rian, she is taken by surprise. A lot of complications ke cropping up. I have it 4 stars as I felt things were a little to compolicated

The power of forgiveness

Teenage Sarah and Michael were separated by his manipulative mother. One night of messing around led to teenage pregnancy. She ended up a single mother with no one left but her son. Her grandmother and Michael’s mother convinced her he won’t want them. She raised the kid hard all on her own. As fate would have it, Michael bought property right next to her horse rescue farm. She battled to tell him the truth about their son Ethan. Michael was naturally very angry and felt betrayed when he discovers the truth. As God would have it, forgiveness reigns and get to have their chance in love.

Sarah too young to experience the tragic loses in her life.To be sent away from the home that was a stable place, and then to return and everything had changed. She had secrets, and goals, to bring rescue horse back to this horse ranch. The past comes in with the vet. Time for healing and forgiveness. Beautiful story .

Second chance stories are my favorite

We make trusting God into a harder thing that it should be. This is a beautiful story of young adults turning to Faith, forgiveness, and acceptance of each other.

Sarah needed to learn to trust God with her life choices.

I enjoyed this book ,wasn't so sure if Sarah was ever going to tell Michael about Ethan. If wasn't for Michael's mother interfering things would've turned much sooner.

This is a great book it really shows how the past can happen but God can take care of everything.

Having close friends will help you think that the plan you have made with them is going real good but the past can come back and then you need to let God help you with it.

Clean romance

Rather long winded but a wholesome romance. It was an interesting attempt at Christian fiction although you got the feeling that this was a bit of an afterthought.

Awesome read....didn't want to put it down! Sarah is a teenage and finds herself in love and pregnant...complications due to her age, her family status compared to his family status, not to mention a recent loss of her parents in an accident with her grandmother as her guardian prevents her from telling the father of the baby. Fast forward and the baby is five and she's raising him alone with the help of some friends and trying to start a horse rescue. Will she ever tell the father of her son? Will she fully trust that The Lord will give her peace to let go of the fear of losing all those that she's ever loved? Awesome read!!!

Good Story But...

This was a good story, but the multitudinous commas, repeated pieces of information, and sometimes confusing past-to-present switches made it more difficult for me to make it to the end of the story. I persevered and was rewarded with a satisfying ending and with seeing a lot of growth take place in the MCs. There were times I cried and worried with the characters. The faith element was also very strong and I liked how the author wrote those portions.
If you enjoy a faith-filled contemporary romance and don't mind the things that bothered me, you should check this book out.

The characters are so engaging and I found myself really fighting for the main character of Sarah. I truly wanted her to just assert herself and get over her past fears. A terrific love story of forgiveness and moving forward. Can't wait for the sequel!
