3.5 stars

This story is touted as one for those who love Hallmark movies but want more spice…and that’s exactly what it delivered!

I really love the idea of this book. I like that the main characters are in their 30’s, they are regular people, and dealing with some serious stuff. I even enjoyed the side characters, a lot! It’s a good light read that will pull on your heartstrings.

I felt connected to the characters and the story felt fairly immersive. But, that said, it was a lot of inner monologue that was very repetitive in relation to what they liked about the other’s body, or just paragraphs within one page saying almost the same thing. That was a big frustration for me because it read like it really needed another editing pass-through. It felt like every other time we had the male POV, he thought about her legs. You could start a drinking game! Then there were a few instances when a character told us details that sounded like we already knew them, but we definitely didn’t. Basically, a little too much of some details, and not enough of others.

The relationship felt fairly surface-level, but again, that’s what I expect with a Hallmark-type movie, so I feel like this does a good job of giving us a tad bit more of context, but just doesn’t get that deep into the relationship. Connections between times (when a week or so passes) could be a bit jarring because it felt like we should’ve been there for specific moments that are referenced, but were glossed over.

Basically, I love the story and it has amazing potential to be great! And I would actually love to see this as a Hallmark or Netflix movie.

What can you expect?
- instant attraction
- family-owned winery (New Jersey rep)
- he is down bad
- miscommunication / not letting a person explain something (which is a big frustration for me)
- small but might cast of loveable characters
- cozy vibes
- a bit spicy
- single dad with teenage daughter (epilepsy rep)
- dual POV in the 1st person
- supportive bestie
- pregnant sister

Heart on the Vine by Brittany Gossin was such a sweet, emotional, and genuinely heartwarming read. From my home state the beautiful Cape May setting to the emotional journey of healing and second chances, this story completely pulled me in and left me smiling by the end.

Hannah was such a relatable character. My heart broke for her in the beginning because you could really feel the hurt and disappointment she was carrying after her breakup. Watching her take a chance on herself and step into a completely unexpected new chapter was inspiring and honestly refreshing. She felt real, vulnerable, and easy to connect with.

And Marco... this man had my whole heart. Sexy, hardworking, protective, and such an amazing father. The way he loved and cared for his daughter absolutely melted me. His struggles balancing life, parenting, and running the winery made him feel authentic and grounded. The chemistry between him and Hannah was instant, but what I loved most was how naturally their emotional connection grew over time.

The winery setting was beautiful and added such a cozy, romantic atmosphere to the story. I could practically picture the summer festival, the vineyard, and the small town charm while reading. It made me want to pack a bag and head straight to Cape May.

What really stood out to me was the emotional depth woven throughout the romance. This was not just a love story. It was about healing after heartbreak, learning to trust again, navigating complicated family dynamics, and finding love when you least expect it. Marco’s daughter added so much heart to the story, and the moments surrounding her epilepsy were handled with care and emotion.

Brittany Gossin created such a beautiful balance of steam, heart, and emotional growth. I laughed, swooned, got emotional, and fully rooted for Hannah and Marco the entire time. If you love small town romance, sexy single dads, second chance at love vibes, and stories filled with warmth and heart, this is definitely one to add to your TBR. Easily a 5 star read for me.

⭐️⭐️⭐️️⭐️/ ️🌶️🌶️🌶️

Having only read fantasy books by Brittany Gossin, I was excited for a contemporary romance featuring later in live MCs. Heart on the Vine is book 1 in her new series, Sips and Sparks. Perfectly named, as this book has plenty of wine culture along with major sparks flying between our MCs. This novel is sweet, genuine, and romantic. I adore stories that have characters finding love later in life, as romance doesn’t stop in your 30s.

Hannah is easy to relate to almost immediately. Brittany does a spectacular job writing the hurt Hannah is carrying from her recent breakup. When she decides to do something for her and her only, we are whisked away on this wonderful journey with Hannah. What was supposed to be a romantic trip for her and ex becomes a trip of rediscovering herself. Cape May, NJ ends up holding possibilities that Hannah never saw coming.

Marco is trying to balance fatherhood, work, and life in general. It was evident from their first meeting that Marco is instantly attracted to Hannah. Even though there may be an expiration date on her being in Cape May, he is not giving up easily. The way this man showed up for Hannah is amazing. And his portrayal as a father, swoon city! His daughter is beyond adorable. The representation in this book is definitely for parents with epilepsy and Brittany definitely makes the feel seen!

The beautiful backdrop of wine country this book provides is breath taking. The rolling hills of grape vines, the sweet sent of salt air mixing with oak barrels and fermenting grapes, and the entire vibe the town offers is spectacular. Brittany truly gives all your senses a treat with this book. Brittany takes our characters on a journey, both together and as individuals. I am excited for more of this series and more of Brittany’s contemporary romance era!

As always, review any author notes before reading.

What to Expect:

🚨 SPOILER ALERT: READ AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I am giving Heart on the Vine by Brittany Gossin a 4-star review. ⭐⭐⭐⭐
I absolutely loved this book! It is an incredibly charming, cozy, and sun-drenched contemporary romance that completely transports you to a gorgeous vineyard by the coast.
ARC Disclosure: A big thank you to the author for providing this eARC. All opinions expressed are entirely my own.

The story follows Hannah, who finds herself at a beautiful coastal crossroads, and Marco, the protective and hardworking local who captures her attention from the moment they cross paths. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of a thriving vineyard right near the ocean, their journey is about new beginnings, learning to trust your heart, and finding where you truly belong. It perfectly balances small-town warmth with undeniable, slow-burning romantic chemistry.
The Good
So the dedication says "For the girlies who love hallmark movies, wine, the beach, and sexy bearded men."—and I’ve never seen a more accurate dedication than this one! This was a great read filled with hallmark movie vibes, and you just can't help but to fall for Marco and Hannah. Well done!
Hannah is a wonderful, relatable heroine whose journey feels deeply personal, and Marco is the ultimate swoon-worthy hero. The seaside atmosphere combined with the vineyard setting makes the entire book feel like a warm embrace. The community dynamics and secondary characters add so much richness to the plot, making you want to pack your bags and move to the coast immediately.
The Not So Good
Because the book leans so beautifully into those comforting, low-angst Hallmark movie vibes, the pacing can feel very deliberate and slow in the middle chapters. Readers who prefer high-stakes external drama or fast-moving plot twists might find the gentle, slice-of-life progression a little too quiet, though the emotional payoff at the end makes the journey entirely worth it.

Thank you to Happily Booked PR & Brittany Gossin for my ARC of Heart on the Vine. I have a small blurb & then my review at the end.

Hannah is down on her luck after her boyfriend of 1 year says they need to break up. She’s distraught because it’s the same week as what was supposed to be their getaway week at a Vineyard. After much convincing, she decides to take the vacation and go solo. What she doesn’t expect is to meet divorced dad Marco.

Marco is a divorced father to a 14 year old daughter & runs a successful vineyard with his two cousins. He’s still getting over the heartache of his divorce being final and his main goal this summer is to be there for his work & kid. Then Hannah enters the picture, and he cannot get her out of his head. Will they be able to make it work with so much heartache from their past?

I want to start with that I believe the idea of a vineyard in New Jersey sounds beautiful. I think the author paints a beautiful background for our book. I love Sky(the daughter) she is so sweet & I wanted to be her friend. I liked that the MC’s were in mid 30’s & early 40s. I wish we had more books in romance with different age ranges besides 18-25. I will also ALWAYS love a yearning man.

There are certain things in the book that I just didn’t mesh with. I’m not a fan of miscommunication tropes(especially in older main characters), and I’m not big on a third act breakup. I have a hard time with people being crass just to be crass, and I felt this book had a lot of that from most people in the book.

All in all, the book is a quick read & does have sweet and funny moments. I love the thought of falling in love in a New Jersey vineyard and the over all message that sometimes the hurt you have faced in the past, does not have define your relationships in the future.

This review is in my own words.

I was a beta reader for 'Heart on the Vine'. This is a contemporary romance written by Brittany Gossin.

"Get back at him by becoming wildly successful on his dime. Hell, make him the villain in your story."

I've read three other books written by Gossin, but this is her first for this genre and I'm happily surprised about it. It really is such a lovely story to read and it's put together very well, making a story that's definitely worth reading.

"Great, I've either nearly killed the guy or ignored his property lines every time we've crossed paths. He's probably going to file a restraining order or something."

This story is about Hannah, Marco and their friends and family. Hannah is a teacher with a broken heart and Marco a broody father that owns a winery. Both have problems and baggage that don't help their first meeting go smoothly. The question is if everything will work out for them.

"Real men get their hands dirty."

This story is about how your past defines you, what a broken heart can do to you and how your character determines how much it will change your life. It's about being scared and worried, but still finding the strength to be there and care for others.

"Who am I kidding? She is the storm, crashing into me and leaving chaos in her wake."

I love how this story is light for a part, but how that light gets mixed with medical problems, baggage and responsibilities. Creating a strong story that when you start, you will want to finish in a single breath. Especially because of how much I've felt with Marco and Hannah. I give this story four stars.

I received this as an ARC and am leaving an honest review.

Before Hannah and her boyfriend broke up, they planned on a getaway to a winery. After the breakup, Hannah goes alone to the winery (because why not, right?) where she runs into the hot owner of the winery, Marco. The two sense a connection and decide to pursue it. Hannah also pursues a summer job.

Everything is going great until Marco’s ex shows up and decides she wants him back. Hannah and Marco, who were developing heart eyes for each other, stop speaking for three weeks. This miscommunication lasted about as long as their relationship prior to the miscommunication, which is where things kind of fell apart for me. Up to this point, I felt like the characters had a maturity that did not mix with this level of miscommunication.

One thing I did appreciate about the book is the author’s own experience as a parent of a child with seizures. Seizures can be scary to see, and the author shared the experience with grace.

*tiny PSA* Did you know it is estimated that one in ten people you know will have a seizure at some point in their life? If you ever see someone having a seizure, if you can, help them to the ground so they don’t get a head injury. Stay with them, time the seizure (because blood doesn’t pump effectively during a seizure), and call 911, who will give further instructions. Never put anything in a seizing person’s mouth (they won’t swallow their tongue, I promise!) Let them know what happened afterwards. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

This was a sweet summer read, perfect for fans of grumpy/ sunshine, single dad, loveable side characters, epilepsy rep, small town, and second chances.

This was such a warm, emotional, and steamy small-town romance with major healing energy 😭💛
Hannah’s journey felt really relatable—especially starting over after a painful breakup and choosing to take that trip alone anyway. Watching her slowly rebuild herself in Cape May and find new purpose made her arc super easy to invest in.
The setting was a huge highlight for me too. The coastal winery atmosphere gave it that perfect cozy summer escape vibe 🍷☀️
Marco was such a standout MMC—devoted, hardworking, and incredibly caring, especially as a single dad. His relationship with his daughter added so much emotional weight to the story, especially with her epilepsy being thoughtfully included. It gave the romance real grounding and depth without taking away from the central love story.
The chemistry between Marco and Hannah builds in such a natural way, especially as she becomes more involved with the winery and his family. The found-family dynamic with Marco’s cousins and Hannah’s friendship with Maggie also added so much warmth and charm.
There is some predictable conflict with the ex-wife storyline, but overall the emotional payoff and romance still felt satisfying and heartfelt.
✨ what to expect ✨
🍷 Winery small-town setting
💔 Second-chance energy
👨‍👧 Single dad romance
☀️ Healing journey / fresh start
💋 Slow-burn chemistry
🏡 Found family
💛 Emotional family dynamics
Overall: a cozy, heartfelt romance about healing, connection, and finding love when you least expect it 🤍

"Hearts on the Vine" by Brittany Gossin would be a good summertime vacation read. Gossin paints a fantastic picture of The Vine Winery, from the lush fields to the peaceful parks to the beauty of the tasting room. The descriptions here are really evocative and wonderful! I enjoyed this book for the most part. Hannah has recently gone through a bad breakup. Her ex paid for them to go to a non-refundable vacation at The Vine Winery for a whole month, so she decides to go by herself. There, she literally runs into Marco, the hardworking, devilishly handsome, recently(ish) divorced owner of the winery. There is an instant attraction between Marco and Hannah, and they get swept up in each other quickly. Marco's young daughter, Skylar, who has epilepsy, has just come to spend the summer with him at the winery. Skylar seems to have a good rapport with Hannah instantly as well. The more time Marco and Hannah spend together, the closer they get, and quite quickly! The two of them have good banter and chemistry with one another despite their insta-lust-y origins. The reason for my rating stems mostly from the third act. When Marco's awful ex-wife, Kristin, did her manipulative thing, I think Hannah had every right to question whether or not he still wanted to be with her... but the miscommunications that stem from this event *killllled* me. Hannah and Marco went three without communicating *at all* after spending almost every waking moment with one another the entire time Hannah was at the winery. I don't know, the writing seems to indicate it has been ~*so long~* since they have been together in each other's orbits, almost like one of them off to war or something, but this all takes place within the span of a month or two?! I guess it felt *a little* dramatic to me? At least they recognized the error of their miscommunications in the end! I don't necessarily feel like they are a HEA couple, perhaps more of an HFN (happy for now) situation. I did love the side characters, including Maggie (Hannah's hilarious, gossip-y best friend), and Gio and Luca (Marco's cousins who also work at the winery). This is a well-paced, quick read, and I think people will eat it up!

Thank you to Brittany Gossin and Happily Booked PR for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

4.25/5...This was such a warm, emotional, and steamy small-town romance with the perfect second-chance-at-love atmosphere. Hannah’s decision to take the trip alone after her breakup felt relatable and empowering, and watching her slowly heal while finding a new purpose in Cape May made her journey easy to invest in. The coastal setting and winery backdrop added so much charm to the story and created the perfect summer escape vibe. Marco was an incredibly lovable hero—devoted, hardworking, and deeply caring, especially when it came to his daughter. His struggles balancing parenthood, business responsibilities, and lingering complications with his ex-wife gave the story emotional depth without overwhelming the romance. One of the strongest parts of the book was the way it handled family dynamics and vulnerability. The inclusion of Marco’s daughter and her epilepsy added another emotional layer that made the story feel more grounded and meaningful. Hannah stepping into their lives never felt forced, and her nurturing personality fit seamlessly into the dynamic. some of the conflict involving the ex-wife felt a bit predictable, but the emotional payoff and satisfying romance made up for it. Overall, this was a comforting, heartfelt read filled with healing, attraction, and the reminder that sometimes the best things come from the plans that fall apart. Heart On the Vine by Brittany Gossin was such a heartfelt ARC read for me, so happy to give my own review.

Hannah, a teacher working on writing her first novel, heads to a winery getaway after her boyfriend Brian unexpectedly dumps her. The trip was supposed to be theirs, but instead she goes alone — and that’s where she meets Marco.

Marco is the steady, dependable type of man who quietly becomes the heart of the story. His relationship with his daughter Sky, who has epilepsy, was especially meaningful to me as a parent of a child with epilepsy myself. The representation felt authentic, emotional, and very well written.

The setting completely pulled me in with the winery atmosphere, beach vibes, summer festival, and boardwalk scenes. “The Vine” almost felt like its own character throughout the story.

I also loved the supporting cast. Maggie, Hannah’s hilarious best friend, added so much humor and energy, while Marco’s cousins Gio and Luca absolutely stole scenes. I can already hope for their stories with Maggie and Riley they would be amazing, and I’m excited if that is coming next.

And of course, Kristen — Marco’s controlling ex-wife who cheated — was impossible not to dislike. She added just the right amount of tension to the story.

Overall, this was an emotional, summery romance filled with heart, family, healing, and found love.

When Hannah got dumped by Brian, she decided to take the consolation prize of the vacation he had booked for them to a winery and really, good for her. Well-deserved for what he put her through to be honest.

At The Vine Winery. Hannah gets some perspective and meets Marco and his family and it's just the cutest.

This is a short and sweet book that is a delightful summer read. Perfect for kicking back pool side with a nice glass of wine and kicking your feet.

The love story is delightful - Marco is a ten with his banging body, hands that are good in the bedroom, out tending grapes, and fixing machinery around the resort. He's also emotionally open, communicative, AND a good father? Come on, I can only swoon so hard!

Hannah is a school-teacher, writer, good friend, sister, and is willing to pitch in and help anyone she meets. Literally, the best human on the planet.

This is Hallmark level adorableness.

The sub plot related to Marcos's daughter Sky was so well done and heart wrenching - the trigger warnings were there for a reason so take them seriously. Even when you hit those moments, they are serious but resolve quickly. No need for too much worry! It's still light enough to be a good beachy read!

Loved this so much and I hope to see more like this from Gossin!

HEART ON THE VINE BY BRITTANY GOSSIN
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The story centers Hannah who had a painful breakup with Brian, decides to spend her summer in Cape May, to forget about her ex and enjoy her vacation after her friend Maggie motivates her to get over her past. Upon her arriving she almost had an accident with Marco, a charming, responsible man who also happens to be the owner of the Vine winery.🩷

Hannah explores the vine and soon grew close to Marco and his cousins Gio and Luca whereas Hannah also develops a strong bond with Marco’s daughter Skylar who suffers from epilepsy.

☀️Everything was going great but the chemistry and connection grow stronger between Marco and Hannah when Hannah offers to stay and help for the festival creating tension and twists.

Her dreams shatter when Marco’s Ex-wife decides to return in their life, once again leaving Hannah heartbroken but fate had different plans for her. 💔

A warm, cozy and emotional story about a single dad and heartbroken woman that becomes instantly my favorite. The gentle and direct style hooked me from the first page.🎀

The banter between Marco, Gio and Luca portrays family bonding and the best part was the friendship between Hannah and Maggie, just being there for each other from the start.

I really enjoyed the book and would definitely recommend it.🥂

Grateful for the opportunity!

4.5/5 This story is so sweet! I love so many things about this book. Marco and his cousins Gio and Luca inherit a winery from their grandfather and live on the property and run the winery. Hannah and her ex boyfriend had a romantic getaway planned for the winery and after a break up Hannah decides to go herself because it’s paid for. Hannah runs into Marco and they instantly have a connection. Marco has a teenage daughter, Skylar. Skylar has epilepsy and her Mom, Kristin is super manipulative and tries to insert herself once she sees Marco and Hannah are involved. I love that Sky is not the typical grouchy unsupportive of a parent dating teenager, it’s sweet to see how she is with Hannah and a refreshing change from what a lot of stories show. The confusion and misunderstandings that are caused had me all in my feelings she cheering for Hannah & I absolutely love her sassy spunky bff, Maggie that comes to visit. This fun, fast read is filled with likable easy to relate to characters, the perfect amount of “spice” & leaves the reader wanting to see what’s next for the people at the winery.
Thank you so much to Happily Booked PR & Brittany Gossin for the Advanced copy. I throughly enjoyed this story and look forward to more. While I did receive an advanced copy, these opinions are my own.

This is a cute summer read about two heartbroken people who find comfort in each other on a vineyard. Marco has been throwing himself into working his vineyard after his wife left him a year ago. With his daughter coming to stay for the summer, he has even more on his mind with worrying about her epilepsy. When Hannah runs into him on her first day at the Vineyard, now Marco has someone else he is focused on. Hannah is on summer break from teaching, taking the vacation her ex-boyfriend booked for them. She is hoping for a reset following her breakup and time to write her novel. What she finds is Marco, his daughter, and a connection that is undeniable.

The side characters in this book are the perfect balance! Marco's family and Hannah's best friend, Maggie, almost steal the show! Marco and Hannah have a lot of obstacles to face, but until the third act conflict seem to handle it all with ease and positivity. The only reason I didn't give this novel a 5 star rating was the unnecessarily long third act conflict and lack of communication during it.

Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and publisher for the advanced read of Heart on the Vine. I recommend this quick heartfelt summer read!

Thank you so much to Happily Booked PR and Brittany Gossin for allowing me to ARC read this in exchange for my honest opinion. I’m always grateful for the opportunity to read early, and this one ended up being such an enjoyable and heartfelt read.

This was a really great story that blended revenge, heartbreak, healing, and romance in a way that kept me invested from beginning to end. I always enjoy contemporary romances that bring emotional depth alongside the romance, and this one definitely delivered that. It wasn’t just about two people falling in love—it was about working through pain, navigating complicated emotions, and finding healing in unexpected places.

I really liked Marco and Hannah together. Their journey had a lot of emotional layers, and I enjoyed watching their relationship unfold. They both brought depth to the story, and their individual struggles made their connection feel more meaningful. Watching them navigate everything happening around them while also figuring out their own emotions made the romance feel earned and genuine.

Overall, this was such a warm, heartfelt contemporary read with characters who had real depth, emotional journeys that kept me invested, and a romance that was sweet and meaningful. Definitely a book I’m glad I had the chance to

I think this is the book I will be recommending to my friends as a perfect little beach read. It has perfect vibes for it, something light to read and dream of being somewhere beautiful because I would love to be in a vineyard cabin!

Hannah has just had her heart broken by Brian, he had a whole romantic trip booked but then cheated on her. Instead of letting it go to waste she decides to go on it to find herself again and get some writing done.

What she doesnt count on is getting an accident with the owner, who is grumpy (but not too grumpy). He has his daughter staying over and she has Epilepsy so if he isn't working, he is monitoring her as as a teenager he worries she wont take meds etc on time.

Hannah has a best friend Maggie who tries to lead her away from being boring and getting stuck in her feelings and the Banter between them had me laughing so much. Mixed with the banter of Marcos Cousins and shall we say swoonworthy Italians I was completely hooked.

If you like insta love, but at the wrong time, mixed in with a teensy bit of miscommunication... you cant go wrong with this series and im excited to see how the cousins fare in the next book

Thank you to the author and happily booked pr for the advanced copy. These are my genuine thoughts and feelings

This book was such a fun time! I'm actually from the area in this book - so it was really fun to actually know the towns, places, and references mentioned in the book.

One of my favorite parts of this book was the family and friendship vibes between Marco and the guys. I thought all of their interactions were written in way that demonstrates how an actual friend group or family members would talk to each other. There was cussing, ribbing, teasing, and just straight honesty between the characters that was just nice to read.

I also loved that both characters were reeling from a heartbreak, but this never felt like a rebound story. They were both heavily cautious about getting involved with each other. Speaking of their exes were TERRIBLE - but I'm glad there wasn't too much focus on them. His daughter was written well too, and I liked the realness of the co-parenting and the feelings that go along with it. It was refreshing to read a single dad story and the kid in the story was older - it just adds a different dynamic which I really liked. The disability rep was also well done, the fear a parent has of a child with a seizure disorder. All of that was done really well.

I can't wait to read what comes next.

Thank you, Brittany Gossin for the opportunity to read such a heartfelt eARC of Heart On the Vine.

Hannah, a teacher working on her first novel, escapes to a winery retreat after her boyfriend Brian suddenly ends their relationship. The trip was meant for the two of them, but going alone leads her to an unexpected connection with Marco.

Marco is the kind, reliable man who naturally becomes the heart of the story. His bond with his daughter Sky, who has epilepsy, really resonated with me as a parent of a child with epilepsy. The representation felt genuine, emotional, and beautifully written.

Being from the area, the scenes at the Oar House then onto the beachy vibes, winery setting and boardwalk scenes completely pulled me in.

I just a hilarious best friend. Maggie, added so much humor and energy, while Marco’s cousins Gio and Luca absolutely stole scenes. I hope there is more to come for Maggie and Riley. Their story could be amazing, and I’m excited for what could be coming next.

Overall, this was an emotional, Hallmark-style romance full of heart, family, healing, and unexpected love. It’s the perfect summer read, and I’d definitely recommend adding it to your summer TBR.

If you're looking for you next summer read look no further! Heart on the Vine is just what you'll want to read this summer when you're on the beach or simply sitting in your yard soaking up the sun! This book is perfectly paced, and reads like a Hallmark movie! If Hallmark movies are your jam, this book is for you. It's giving Hallmark with spice, and I'm here for it. I could not put this book down! I devoured it in hours. I don't think I've ever read a book that quickly! I was giddy the entire time I read this book. All of the characters in the book are so likeable and I wanna be friends with all of them. Special shoutout to Hannah's bestie, Maggie! Everyone needs a Maggie in their life. She's no nonsense, and Hannah's biggest hype girl This book shows off how versatile Gossin is in her writing. She writes fantasy, but you would never know it with this book. This book is simply lovely and I can't wait to read more of this series! I need book two like yesterday!!!!!

Add Heart on the Vine to your TBR now! As always, check for trigger warning before reading.

Thank you Brittany Gossin for this ARC!

🍷 Heart on the Vine 🌿

First—thank you for the opportunity to read this ARC! 🍇

After a breakup, Hannah takes the solo trip to Cape May that she originally planned with her ex, hoping for a peaceful reset. Instead, she finds herself drawn into life at The Vine Winery, where she meets Marco—a single dad and winery owner juggling both business and his daughter’s epilepsy diagnosis. When he unexpectedly hires Hannah to step in as a summer event planner, their connection quickly deepens from professional to personal.

I really enjoyed Hannah’s decision to still take the trip alone and how she slowly finds her footing again. Her bond with Marco’s daughter was also one of the sweetest parts of the story and felt very natural.

That said, I struggled with the emotional pacing between Hannah and Marco. Their chemistry often felt surface-level rather than fully developed, and the shift from strangers to a “family-like” unit over a short span of time didn’t feel fully earned. The conflicts also felt a bit too light and resolved too quickly to carry much weight.

Overall, this felt like a cozy, Hallmark-style vineyard romance—easy to read and comforting—but it didn’t fully leave a lasting impression for me.

Tropes:
🍷 Second Chance
🌿 Grumpy x Sunshine
🍷 Single Dad
🌿 Love After Divorce
🍷 Epilepsy Rep
🌿 Small Town Vineyard Romance

Heart on the Vine by Brittany Gossin

Awe, this was so cute!! I had the opportunity to be a beta reader for this and then got the chance to reread once the arc was released and it was just as cute the second time around.

Thank you Brittany for the eARC of this book!

What a lovely summer romance! I loved Hannah and Marco. They were both so easy to love and their story kept me so engaged. Watching Hannah grow was so wonderful and heartfelt. Their romance felt so natural and their tension was so palpable! This book really had a lot of laughs but also a lot of heart.

Maggie (Hannah’s best friend) had me cackling so much! She was so blunt but hilarious about it. Practically saying everything that popped into her head and I absolutely adored her. I hope she gets her own book! *hint hint Brittany*.

This was definitely a one sitting read for me and perfect for that summer contemporary romance vibe with found family, banter, and tension!

Eeeeeekkkk this story was absolutely adorable! I’m such a sucker for dual POV stories, and getting to experience everything from both characters’ perspectives made me fall even harder for Marco and Hanaha. The author did such an amazing job building their backstories and making them feel real, layered, and easy to connect with.

From the very beginning, the story kept me completely entertained and emotionally invested. Every chapter pulled me in deeper, and I found myself constantly thinking about the storyline even when I wasn’t reading. Honestly, I was sitting at work wishing I could magically leave “sick” just so I could hurry home and finish the book because I needed to know what happened next.

The chemistry, the emotions, the character growth—everything flowed so well together and made this such a fun and memorable read. This is definitely one of those stories that sticks with you long after you put the book down.

Who else has ever secretly wished for Hallmark movies to have a bit more spice? Just me? Anyone? Bueller?

What’s it about? After an unexpected breakup, Hannah goes on vacation to a vineyard on Cape May, NJ (which her ex-boyfriend had booked!). While there, she meets one of the vineyard’s owners, Marco. And romance ensues!

Cape May is genuinely one of my favorite places in the world. I went there every summer when I was growing up and to see it memorialized in a such a lovely way… honestly makes me choke up.

I fell for Hannah and Marco pretty instantaneously. They are just so darn likeable! The side characters, too! And the element of found family that is growing in the story is incredibly endearing. If there are future books written in this universe, I will 100% be signing up to read them and support the author!

I am grateful for the opportunity to read this book, as an ARC, prior to its publication.

Thank you so much to the author for the opportunity to receive this ARC!

4 stara from me mostly because I personally am not a huge fan of the miscommunication trope! But I thought despite being a shorter read the romance didn't feel rushed. You got the pacing of the wanting to go from a one and done bang to the characters wanting to get to actually know each other. I though Hannah, our FMC, was very relatable and felt realistic. I also enjoyed that she wasn't written as this ditzy women but was intelligent and likeable. Marco I feel like was written with such care to make him not seem no unattainable if that makes sense. Brittany brought out different emotions and care especially when dealing with a character having a child with a serious medical condition. Plus, I thought the other characters were a hoot, including Sky. I see this having potential to build a series revolving around these characters and what their dynamics hold. So I'll look forward to hopefully seeing that!

Heart on a Vine was such a super cute read — and obviously my version of “super cute” still includes a little darkness 😂

I absolutely loved the MMC. He’s a single dad running a winery, and he was just impossible not to fall for. Meanwhile, the FMC has just gone through a breakup and decides to take their planned romantic trip alone instead of canceling it. After their chaotic first run-in, you instantly know this story is going to be good.

The plot was so fun to read, and I really enjoyed watching the characters grow throughout the book. Their development felt natural, and the chemistry between them kept me invested the entire time. It had the perfect balance of emotional moments, romance, humor, and just enough darker elements to keep things interesting. Overall, this was a really enjoyable read and definitely worth picking up if you love romance with heart, healing, and memorable characters.

Heart on the Vine by Brittany Gossin is a a heartfelt small-town romance with second chances and undeniable chemistry that created a cozy yet steamy love story. In this novel, we got to meet our FMC Hannah who travels to Cape May, New Jersey for a quiet getaway from the devastating breakup she had with her now ex-boyfriend. During her stay, she meets our MMC Marco who is a single father in desperate need of a replacement assistant for his party planner. One of the novels greatest strengths I feel is how Gossin was able to portray the relationship between Marco and Hannah in such a way that the romance developed naturally through shared vulnerability and witty banter. Overall, Heart on the Vine is a charming and emotionally rewarding romance that warmed my heart and made me smile!

I received an ARC copy from Happily Booked PR. Thank you so much for giving me a chance to read and voluntarily review this novel!

Sips and Sparks: Marco and Hannah

“She is a summer storm, all right—beautiful, unpredictable, and leaving me absolutely wrecked in her wake.”

Both Marco and Hannah are reeling from their partners' betrayals… His wife just randomly left him, and her boyfriend was cheating on her with a coworker. As we meet the exes, it’s easy to see what a lucky miss each had, but oh my lord…. both of the exes are vile!

This is charming. It’s a little cozy. It had me giggling with their awkwardness. It had a slow-burning, tension-filled ‘friendship’ that was only headed in one direction.
Plenty of banter, found family vibes, I adored the way that Hannah and Sky took to each other.
His cousins had me in stitches with their antics, and Maggie was awesome. Do I spy a Maggie story in the future?

Thanks Brittany, for the advance copy. I found this to be an enjoyable read.

I have never read anything by Brittany Gossin before, OMG this was fantastic; this is part of the Sips and Sparks series! Hannah had thought that the upcoming week long vacation her boyfriend had arranged; he was going to propose! Just before they would leave, she catches him cheating!! Hannah decides to take the trip alone, since it was paid for; to Cape May New Jersey. She expects a quiet get away, it turns into much more!! As she is approaching the resort, Hannah drives her car into a tractor driven by Marco; one of the owners of the resort!! She had been looking at the beautiful surroundings. We have new beginnings, emotional healing, and learning to trust again. Love the plot, great settings, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Britany Gossin!!
