This was a fun book. I don't necessarily mean it was a funny book, but there were some smile and chuckle moments. I was on vacation in the tropical paradise and this book takes place in a tropical paradise and it was a great romance and suspense, although uneven in places.
Sydney McBride is a writer who is researching a book about plastic surgery. She has had a procedure because the publisher wanted a first-person experience in addition to her interviews and research. She is in a luxury medi-spa in Rio and it has been a great experience for her. This book wasn't her idea but after a misstep after the publication of her first book she needs a solid, verified win of a book to get back in the game. Then, into Sydney's life a drop dead gorgeous, stranger literally drops into her life and her life may never be the same again.
Lucas Fox is in deep trouble. As a member of the Psi section of T-FLAC he is a wizard and now he is experiencing trouble with his powers. Big trouble. Dropping on his head, nude during a transportation is soooo not good. Lucky for him he is scooped up by a beautiful woman and not the bad guys. When Lucus finds he needs Sydney for a "power boost", he has truly hit rock bottom. But he has a mission to complete, and failure is not an option. There are more things going on at this spa that a simple nip and tuck and Lucas needs Sydney in order to get to the bottom of it all.

"Night Secrets" is Cherry Adair's latest sexy, nail-biting, page-turner of a book. It's book two in her 'Night' trilogy about three dark and dangerous T-FLAC/psi ops wizards who find love in the midst of danger and bullets.
Sydney is a writer struggling to make a comeback. She's currently about to finish her latest book on plastic surgery and is in Brazil recovering from the breast implants her publishing company required to make her book more authentic. The clinic is top-notch and Sydney is surrounded by the ultra-rich and famous when the peace is disturbed by helicopters and men in black with serious-looking guns doing a door-to-door search. Sydney's not worried, after all she's here alo...what the heck? Where did Mr. Tall, Dark, and Naked come from?
Lucas is a T-FLAC/psi wizard whose powers are on the fritz. When his invisibility powers fail he transports himself to the nearest cottage. It doesn't matter if it's occupied, he'll just use his handy powers to influence the minds of whoever may be there. He just needs a place to hide til he recovers from both the gunshot and the power drain. Whoa! Did he luck out or what? 'His' cottage is occupied by a gorgeous, brown-haired, stacked chick! Uh, oh...his 'influence' won't work on her, but on the plus side, she can amp his powers up to unbelievable levels!

Better that I expected. Entertaining but that's it. Would not continue the series.
It's a good book if you're in the mood for a light, entertaining read with a considerable amount of sex scenes.

This was another terrific read, with a bit of everything thrown into the mix. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and probably would give it 4.5 stars if we could.
This is the middle book in a trilogy of 3 but in an ongoing series. I definitely think the 3 should be read in order as they make more sense that way. There were a few holes left behind for me which I am really hoping will be resolved in the next book. Like..."Why was Lucas's powers on the blink? Why did touching Sydney give him 'power' surges? etc. etc. Although these were not explained in the book, they did not in any way detract from the story. I only really thought about them after I had finished the book.
Sydney and Lucas were a fantastic h & h. They both connected with me and I esp. enjoyed Sydney's upbeat and sassy personality. She wasn't all she-man too which sometimes puts me off having a strong woman heroine. Cherry Adair got the balance just right, between Sydney's vulnerability and independence. Lucas was yummy and just hit the spot nicely (hahaha). The chemistry between them was fantastic, the sex steamy, the plot great, the characters wonderful and the ending satisfying.
Highly recommended to those who like both PNR and romantic suspense.

Another great book by Cherry Adair. I love her T-FLAC books, this one is another example as to why. She NEVER disappoints with the exciting new places for a good romp either! Sheesh! I didn't think she could beat the camel scene... and I wouldn't say this one necessarily beats it, but it sure comes close!!

I enjoyed the first half of Night Secrets, (#14 in the T-FLAC series) but had some problems with the second half and the ending. There was a lot of potential. I could have been on the edge of my seat, but...
Set almost entirely in Rio de Janerio, Brazil, 2008/2009 at a medical-spa for the rich and famous. Lucas Fox is the T-FLAC/PSI operator that was supposed to have some awesome wizard powers, but (once again) his powers were not functioning. Sydney McBride was a nonfiction author at the medical-spa writing about plastic surgery. She was "forced" to get breast enhancements from her publisher....(eyes rolling)
**Every one of these T-FLAC/PSI stories has a wizard with "great powers" that aren't working. Can we please move past that theme?**
The story was interrupted too many times with useless data/descriptions/thought patterns. For instance, when going to steal a car to make a fast getaway I don't need the detailed descriptions of the cars they could have stolen. Filler. Some dialogue got so burdened down with random thoughts, I lost the flow of the conversation or I forgot what they were even talking about.
I was very frustrated by the lack of urgency in finding....people who came to help (no plot spoilers). Hello! Already KNEW the urgency in the "alternative." I was surprised the bad person was dealt with so quickly and not much of an explanation around some of the goings on. (hard to describe without spoilers).
The ending. What the heck happened? All of a sudden a couple of major plot shifts occurred and weren't really resolved. The H/h were resolved, but that was done so oddly that left me cold and not liking the book even less than I thought.

This story is about Lucas Fox, Psi Operative for the T-FLAC. He is tracing some terrorist that are Half Wizards who are involved in some very nasty business. Lucas, has teleportation power that give him very special skills.
Sydney McBride she is a journalist that is trying to get her career back on tract. So to do that she decide to go to a private spa where she will be able to give her personal account of plastic surgery proceeded. Sydney, publisher has her writing a book on destination spas, and also being pushed by her publisher to get her breasts enhanced to make the book more realistic. Something that she really doesn’t want or need.
Than Sydney, and Lucas meet in a very usually way. He falls out of nowhere, I mean literally. There is something going on, the island. Lucas, decide to find out just what is going on with his powers, and it has something to do with the island.
There is so much adventure that you will want to read this book. So if you enjoy suspense, and romance than you need to pick this book up.

This was worse than the first in the series. There was a decent mystery for the agent to be involved in but instead the author ignored it all & just had the main characters have lots of sex - even at extremely bad times. Sydney is supposed to be some great journalist/author & yet her big story is a plastic surgery resort in Brazil - seriously?? Lucas as a "super-agent" comes across all kinds of suspicious activities and instead of following through on any of it or calling in his team, he instead just has lots of sex with Sydney which gets old really fast. Even when Sydney is almost cut open for her organs, do they call in reinforcements or teleport somewhere safe? No, they go close by to have sex. The author is so bad in this book that readers barely get a wrap up of any of the decent storylines and a lot is left hanging. Terrible book and ending.

Great action adventure
Her hero is a wizard. You just can't go wrong from there, right? The story is fast paced and funny. The characters are multidimensional and entertaining. But it is the lovely way the author spoon feeds readers the pieces of the overall series arc as you go from book to book that takes this series to the next level.

Setting: Novos Comecos Medi-Spa, Brazil – her beach bungalow, the medical center – especially the 3rd floor where they were doing organ harvesting -
Theme:
Love; attraction; fighting evil; dealing with weakness; dealing with consequences of behavior.
Characters:
Sydney McBride: youngest of 9 – the other 8 brothers, and her twin a brother; well loved; one brother bi-polar, and she wrote a book, in first person, with some embellishments that brought her fame and recognition, until she was ‘called out’ on a talk show that there is no Michaela (and she would not expose her brother); family upset with her, but come through for her; one publisher contracts a book on plastic surgery, sending her to 5 resorts to investigate and interview, and finally that she have something done for the personal perspective (she has breast implants – that she plans to have removed); at the last location a naked man teleports into her bungalow when there are a bunch of soldiers and helicopters looking for him…
Lucas Fox: T-FLAC psi member; he can track teleport but his powers have been inconsistent and when tracking a Half (part magical), his magic stops and he falls 40 feet onto the beach, and manages to teleport to Sydney..
Nia Ledgister – powerful, cruel wizard – she has a terrorist bioweapon up for sale, and is orchestrating escalating deliveries of the toxin/explosions world-wide… and she financed the creation and manufacturing of the weapon by harvesting organs from healthy individuals and selling them for millions, including harvesting sperm & birthing infants for small organs… and when she harvests the organs, the individual is given a drug to paralyze, but is conscious and can feel the pain of the incisions… cruel!!!
Summary:
The plot – at the resort, not only are they doing expensive, resort setting plastic surgeries, but a powerful magician is at work…
Sydney and Lucas bumble their way through attraction, sex, and investigating what’s going on… and like any good macho man story, Lucas has growing feelings, and he does the right things with Sydney, without acknowledging those feelings… he has every intention of wiping her memories of him and never seeing her after they solve the mysteries. But Sydney is a surprise… she’s honest with him, accepts responsibility, and responds to him in totally… until he realizes he loves her… and Sydney, knowing their time together is short is determined to enjoy him… and uses her heart and inquisitive nature to help him defeat the bad guys… When on their way to the airport (where is Lucas’s support?), Nia commandeers their car, dragging them back to the center… and Sydney, whom Nia does not perceive as a threat, gets her hands on the gun Nick gave her and shoots her (dead?) just as Lucas’ power returns and he teleports them to Montana. Ahhh
And Nick meets a twin sister at the Montana center… they were separated when their parents died, and their memories have been altered… they have different names of their parents, they did not remember one another (until she was pregnant and was having visions of the past and of him), they do not remember much of the same – but dna proves they are siblings… more to come here I believe. And his mentor (and elderly, magical, chemical scientist) who watched over him and 2 other boys who lost their parents in questionable ways is called into question – he seemed to be pushing Nick into some sort of trap in Brazil… what is up with him? Is he culpable from the time of Nick etal’s youth?

Making love while flying/floating through the clouds and over the surface of the ocean… When pinned down by 13 warriors, and being told to run, she hunkers down next to him and shoots her share of the bad guys.

Ah. We have another T-FLAC Series book, and this one continues with the paranormal wizard stuff. Honestly, it isn't much different than the rest of the wizard books. It's like, if you read one, you've read them all. This one was sort of interesting because of the topic, but otherwise it was very generic, cut and paste romantic suspense...very predictable. Sigh.
Sydney McBride went to a plastic surgery spa getaway vacay to get a boob job and then write about it for a book. Then, out of nowhere a naked Lucas Fox appears. He's trouble with a capital T. He's a wizard with his powers going wonky, and Sydney seems to be a conduit for him. Lucas is there to search for a bad half-wizard, and he makes Sydney investigate with him. If you've read any of the other T-FLAC Psy books, it's the same formula, over and over again. Same cocky guy. Same type of woman. Just a different environment and a different problem--but a problem that's fairly predictable. They are okay books if you've got nothing else, but there's so much more out there. *shrugs* I'd rather go with the good stuff than stay with this series, but I told myself I WAS GOING TO FINISH TO THE END because...reasons.

PSI Operative Lucas Fox finds himself stranded at a plastic surgery spa with wonky powers and has to rely on spa guest and journalist on a story Sydney McBride to help save his life. Sydney knows that her next book or two has to put her back on top if she's gonna save her career as a credible writer and get out of hot water with the public, her publisher and her family. As Lucas & Sydney flirt around their attraction for each other a sinister plot by rogue wizards come to light. When the sparks literally fly between them Lucas finds he not only wants to stay around the delectable Sydney, he has to.
I liked Sydney being a truly strong female without trading one iota of her inner girly-girl. She was sassy, smart, and sexy but she was also manipulative and self-involved, just like a real person. I also liked her moment of self awareness, it didn't break her it made her strong. Lucas who'd been a secondary character in previous installments comes off quite smooth and sex in his star turn. As a couple they had fairly good chemistry and worked together well. Some of the actions seemed illogical but worked to dramatic effect and some questions remained but maybe they will be answered in the next installment.

I really enjoyed our 2 main characters. She was so curious, had a great internal strength and had a big family which is great. He is that broken home bad boy that I just love and sexy as hell to boot. The story was interesting and intriguing throughout the whole book. The romance was fun to watch either interaction with each other and they had great chemistry. The book pushed some crazy lines, that made me a bit shocked that Cherry when there (I won't say when, but man was it sad and insane), but good for her for pushing limits. The part that lost some stars for me was the ending, I really didn't like it. It felt hasty and incompletely. I'm use to Cherry's book having a nice fairly tided up ending, but this one left a lot of questions for me, even though it is part of a series. The first one did leave a question, but not as much as this one. I sure hope in the next book it is all explained.

The plot is complicated by bio-terrorism, multiple murders to supply illegal organ transplants, and a mysterious something else alluded to but not resolved in this book.
You could probably read 2 before 1 if you had to - but the story arc is moving to completion in 3 so that should definitely be read last.

As part of her contract she had to get plastic surgery. Only now she has landed in the middle of a black market operation.

Sydney McBride has consented to having plastic surgery in order to write about her experience and save her career. While recuperating at a spa in Rio she uncovers more going on than celebrities getting enhancements to themselves. She meets T-FLAC agent Lucas Fox when he appears in her room seeking refuge from security. He just happens to be naked at the time and talks her into telling the guards that he’s her boyfriend who dropped in to surprise her. From there, they work together to uncover and stop the wizards who are wreaking havoc. Night Secrets is definitely a must read as are any of Cherry Adair’s books!

The last T-FLAC book I read was not PN so I was somewhat surprised when this one ventured into that genre. It was a good story, though I found some things that weren't SUPPOSED to be PN very hard to believe. (Eight brothers, all with Hispanic names, and she's named Sydney?!) As for the PN , at times they were just a little TOO convenient to get our couple out of trouble. And, finally, the ending, after all that build-up, was over in seconds.
But the lady can write an entertaining story and fashion wonderful heroes while the heroines are not TSTL, so it's a winner.

This story was okay, not really very riviting though.
Sydney McBride is an author who has been paid to write a story on plastic surgery as part of her story she had her breasts enlarged at a spa in Brazil. Unexpectedly Lucas Fox, who has paranormal powers and is a gorgeous T-FLAC operative drops by and she quickly finds he has an ever better story. His powers have not been working very well recently but he finds that when he is around Sydney she seems to boost them.
To me the story was a bit corny and the relationship between Sydney and Lucas just did not quite do it for me.

Awesome book. T-Flac agaent Lucas Fox follows a half wizard to Novos Comecos Medi-Spa in Rio De Janeiro where he has kidnapped two people. He has been injured and he hides in a bungelow while troops are looking for him. He is screwed because the woman who is in the bungelow thinks he is a escaped mental patient. He must convince her he will not hurt her and he is one of the good guys.
This is one Awesome book. This spa ends up being one gruesome place.

Very good book. Lots of action, suspense, and sex! Love the T-FLAC series, I would definitely recommend this book. It is okay as a standalone novel but better if you read the series. This book had a lot more twists and turns than some of the others which made for page turning suspense. Cherry Adair is an excellent author and writes from both male and female points of view well. I will keep reading her books!

The second of the Night series books by Cherry Adair and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think what I like about the books that I have read so far is that she makes the characters believable. I can totally understand why they make some of the decisions that they do and some of their internal thinking is fascinating but I can relate to it. I might not always would do what the characters does but I can understand why they do it.
It's a great read - fun & enjoyable with great characters.

Really 2.5 stars. This book had all the elements of a great fantasy/romance, but it ran hot and cold. I agree with another reader that the resolution was handled too briefly. It was as if the writer suddenly ran out of energy or ideas or interest, and finished it off as quickly as she could.
I might pick up a book of hers from time to time from the library, but if this is an example, they aren't worth owning.

the book was pretty good till we got to the end. i am not sure if it is because i started this series with #13 or if this is just the style, but the ending seemed amazingly rushed. once we got this hurried tidy up of loose ends, the book just stopped. we moved along so quickly then it didn't seem to bother to finish with some closure.

An author at a destination, surgical/spa, gets dragged into a spys mission by pretending to be his girlfriend when a few soldiers come by with machine guns looking for him. The sexy wizard spy needs her because she boosts his powers an d while dragging her along they uncover a Blake market organ transfer op.
