The ongoing storyline treads water for a volume as we are offered a few short stories. The longest introduces a one-off character who is identical to one of the main characters. Of course they switch roles and the new female becomes yet another member of our hero's harem. Still enjoyable, but has the feeling of some mid-season episodes of a solid, long-running sitcom.
More of a filler book. Chitoge and a foreign princess did a "prince and the pauper" thing for a day. Onodera had Raku come help her at work again, with a bit of a twist. Tsugumi had yet another of Claude's inventions go wrong (I'm getting tired of it). Most notable of all: Ruri is starting to like Shu!! That part made me happy, as I've been shipping them since the beginning. So yay! 4 stars.
In the middle of this volume, we meet a doppelganger of Chitoge. And she’s a princess, who just wants to get away from her guards and have a good time. She’s a very sweet girl, and Raku gets to show her around the sites and experience some of Japan, while Chitoge gets to pretend to be a princess. It’s quite fun for everyone.
Aside from that, there are of course a bunch of fun chapters. We get to see what Yui’s one flaw is, Tsugumi finds another experimental drug, Marika tries to get along with the animals that Raku loves. There’s also a moment of truth with Ruri, as she observes Shu when another girl wants to confess to him. And lastly the potential of something more happening between Raku and Onodera, though I don’t think anything is ever going to happen there, even if it feels like everyone but them knows.
This series is always fun to read. The art is so pretty, and the characters are so fun.
A review copy was provided by the publisher, VIZ Media, for an honest review. Thank you so, so much!
This volume felt like it was meant mostly to be "filler", what with its' storyline about a princess visiting Japan that looked like Chitoge, but it was still very enjoyable.
Also, the *Sleeping Beauty*-esque story of Tsugumi and the perfume was entertaining as well.
A lookalike princess for Kirisaki? Once again we're playing the "Prince and the Pauper" trope with two girls switching places - and finding out they have more in common than one would think. Why does every girl fall in love with Ichijo? He's so freaking clueless?
I'm definitely getting impatient with the story by now. Are we, or are we not going to ever figure out who make the promise with Ichijo? Or are we just going to hit every harem trope in existence instead. Why...WHY am I still reading?
This series continues to be a fun but trope filled read. I read it on the Shonen Jump app so my experience with it is in little chunks when I have a few minutes to kill. We meet a princess from another country that just so happens to look exactly like another character. These chapters didn't really serve a purpose but there were some good moments with Onedara towards the end that made up for it.
Mostly filler again, with a doupleganger and switching identies plot as well. Tsugumi gets into trouble with some chemical/drug from the beehive again and Yui can't carry a tune in a bucket. Somewhat amusing, but I want some PLOT please! Marika with the animals was an ok chapter at least.
fun! I was really feeling the storyline with the princess, especially when they switched clothes. the amusement park part was great and reminded me of myself 😊

How all the girls fall for Raku? I mean he isn't that cool well anyways another volume no so interesting but at least we see a little of side story characters development. And for me the most interesting chapter of this volume is when Chitoge Doppelgänger appears.
A hilarious addition to the series, this one takes us on a lot of twists and turns I didn't expect, and introduces an awesome new character I hope that we can see again! Definitely a highlight of the series!
