Franklin Smith was the perfect fiancé. He was at the top of our class at Stanford and had been recently accepted to Harvard Law. But Spring Break our senior year of college changed everything. He went back home to New Jersey and never returned. At his funeral I discovered a guy I never knew. His secret past. And a twin brother, Fisher, I didn’t know existed.

Chloe's fiancé Franklin has returned home to visit his family, she's anxiously awaiting his return. When there's no word from him she calls his mobile phone, a woman answers who claims to be his mother, but she has no idea who Chloe is. But the really bad news is that Franklin has died as a result of a car crash. Chloe immediately packs a bag to go to Franklins family. What she discovers is a massive shock. It seems that nothing Franklin had ever told her was the truth, she even finds that Franklin has a twin brother Fisher.
I was originally going to give this story three stars mostly due to the fact I didn't like Chloe very much. She was a spoilt brat, who was a bit like Mary Poppins practically perfect in every way. At least that's how everyone viewed her. But it was Fisher that gained that extra star, he was adorable.

My 4 star review for Finding Fisher by Dakota Madison
Deceit: the action or practice of deceiving someone by concealing or misrepresenting the truth
What would you do if you found out that the one person you were planning on spending the rest of your life with ends up being someone you never really knew at all?
Chloe Woodford’s fiancé, Franklin Smith was her perfect match in every way. He was top of his class at Stanford and recently got accepted into Harvard Law. While on spring break, Franklin makes a trip back home to New Jersey but never returns.
Chloe calls his cell phone and when a woman answers the call, Chloe is left confused. Putting her schooling on hold, she takes a trip to New Jersey to get some answers. Trying to piece everything together, Chloe soon discovers that her fiancé is someone she never really knew at all. The last thing Chloe ever expected is a guy named Fisher Smith, her deceased fiancé twin brother.
Honest: free of deceit and untruthfulness; sincere
Being in the small town that Franklin grew up in, it becomes crystal clear that Franklin was the golden boy and could do no wrong. Franklin’s mother has completely shut her out but Fisher does all he can to help her out. Chloe finds herself doing things she never thought she’d do. She also realizes that things don’t always need to be perfect, that it is okay to color outside the lines once in a while. Fisher helped bring out a side of herself she never knew existed.
They say things happen for a reason and while she picks up the pieces of the lies Franklin left behind, she finds herself on a path of self-discovery, strength and true happiness with the one person she least expected.

Chloe’s character is really sheltered. Her parents are well off. She grew up with a silver spoon and her parents raised her to be nothing but the best academically. They have planned out her whole life for her. Her colleges, her career and what type of man she was expected to marry. In their eyes, this is much more important than her happiness.
Fisher, he is everything that Franklin isn’t. He didn’t get the brains but he did get talent working with his hands. He loves life and is content with how it is going. He has his own business and he does well with it. He is smart, caring and kind. He is selfless.
You know that saying, opposites attract? Well, let’s just say it is a bumpy road for Chloe. Fisher because he is such an amazing man, helps Chloe every single step of the way. The chemistry between them is amazing. I felt every emotion. The hurt, the embarrassment, the longing, the fear, the happiness and of course the love.
This story is about self-discovery, finding strength you didn’t think you had and learning to follow your heart.

One of my favourite authors I love is Dakota Madison , all her books are amazing and I find myself as soon as I open the first page engrossed in them and I cannot put them down. The other thing I quite like is that she crossovers her series with the books she has written under different pen-names ( Savannah Young). In Finding Fisher, we meet Chloe who is engaged to her boyfriend Franklin whom she met while they were both studying at Stanford. After a week's holiday, Franklin hasn't arrived back and Chloe is worried as she hasn't heard from him - so she rings his cell and what she will learn will shock her to the core. Turns out that over the weekend Franklin was killed in a car crash along with a female named Olivia. As Chloe heads to Old Town to discover what happened to Franklin, she will be in for a major shock as she discovers that he lied about everything and that Olivia was his "other woman" and they had a son named Jackson together. Also Franklin who was supposedly an only child , has a identical Twin brother called Fisher. As Chloe spends more time in Old Town, we see sparks fly between her and Fisher and we wonder if this was fate's way of telling her that he had a different brother in mind. What I loved about this book was that we were reunited with some of our favourite characters from the Olde Town Series like Jake, Harley and Tuck as well as the Tawnee Mountain Resort. If you love Contemporary Romances with a bit of suspense and New Adult novels, then Dakota Madison is the author for you and Finding Fisher is the book that should be at the top of your TBR Pile.

I was asked to read this, by the author in exchange for a review, and I thank Ms Madison for that.

Franklin went home for Spring Break, and never came back. When Chloe goes in search of answers, she finds Franklin was leading a double life. He didn't tell the truth for just about anything, especially that of being an only child. For Franklin was a twin, an identical twin. He and Fisher are nothing alike, and Chole struggles against the chemistry she feels for Fisher that she never felt for Franklin.

I have one incy wincy issue about this book. Its written entirely from Chloe's POV *insert sing song voice* and ya'll know how I feel about them!

I felt for Chloe, I really did. She goes in search of answers and finds more lies than a person can process. Franklin said alot of things that poor Chloe had to process, on Franklin's turf, at loggerheads with everyone around her. Except Fisher. Fisher does, at first push Chloe away, but neither can deny what the other is feeling.

I liked that Chloe stood up to her parents, while still doing what she wanted. I didn't much like them, and they was they had bought up Chloe, I mean, who walks on the beach with shoes on!

A lovely way to spend an afternoon curled up on the sofa, wrapped up in a quilt. Its only short, 148 pages, took me just over an hour, but I really did enjoy, and if we had heard from Fisher, I'm sure it would have been a five star rating. But we didnt so...

4.5 stars

Dakota Madison once again takes what appears to be a straight forward love story and gives it a twist that keeps you thoroughly engaged and turning the pages.

I really enjoyed watching Chloe find herself as she begins to piece together the truth about her now deceased fiancé. As she learns more and more about the life Franklin left behind, she also uncovers strengths in herself as she begins to realize that her pursuit of the “perfect life” that she has mapped out may not be where she finds happiness.

Fisher was just an honest to goodness good guy who was so much more than Chloe gave him credit for. It was fun watching him take Chloe by surprise as she watches him at work, sees him take care of his nephew, and witnesses the respect that he receives from his friends. I really loved watching him be there for Chloe, even when everyone seemed to blame her for what happened to Franklin. Fisher always seemed to know just what to say and do to comfort her, while also pushing her to step out of her comfort zone. He was smart, sweet, and was exactly what Chloe needed.

“It’s going to be okay. I promise.”
“How do you know?”
“Because it has to be.”

This book had everything I've come to expect from Dakota Madison – a nice love story with a sweet hero that also had a bit of angst and a few twists…but guaranteed to leave you smiling at the end.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

I loved the idea of this story. What if the man you loved, who was your fiance- wasn’t who you thought he was at all? On paper, all the elements for an amazing story where there- Lies, betrayal, tragedy and a unique love story that takes centre stage in Dakota Madison’s book. Unfortunately something went AWOL in the execution of the story. It lacked a certain warmth to it, I never really felt a connection to Chloe the heroine of the piece. She is the quintessential good little rich girl, perfect looks, perfect grades, perfect in every single way as every other character takes pleasure in pointing out to her throughout the book. I felt a certain disconnect with her simply because the man she has been with for nearly four years and is engaged to dies tragically and in curious circumstances but she never really feels anything. Devastation, depression, anger, betrayal these are all things she should have been experiencing instead she travels back to her fiance’s hometown to get to the bottom of it all and complains about the smell of cooked ham every five seconds, how grubby things are and rundown, small inconsequential things when her life has been turned on its axis. It’s during this time she meets her fiance’s twin brother Fisher, another fact she was clueless about as she tries to make sense of the labyrinth of lies her fiance had told over the years. What saved the story for me was Fisher, blue-collar working mechanic, selfless, sweet and sexy who helps Chloe find her true self. He shows her there’s more to life than avoiding germs and staying clean and maintaining her ‘perfect’ charade, along the way showing her what love should truly be like.

‘“What do you like about me?” His brow furrows. “What’s not to like, Buttercup? You’re bright and beautiful. It’s a deadly combination. For me anyway.”
“And here I thought I wasn’t your type,” I tease.
“I’m the one who’s not your type,” he corrects. “I’m not going to kid myself. I know I’m not in your league. But I’ll be here for you while you need me.” My heart sinks with his confession. I want to tell him he’s wrong, but the words won’t come out of my mouth. Maybe because I know he’s right.’

The timeline of events seemed a little hurried from Chloe and Fisher’s initial meeting to falling in love with a few obstacles and familial interferences blocking their way to a happy-ever-after, so if you don’t mind a rushed romance Finding Fisher is a rather good read, the plot is intriguing with the characters showing maturation and heart. Towards the end I did warm up more to Chloe’s character as she became more independent and down-to-earth. The romance was a bit fast but it was certainly sweet and a lovely way to pass an afternoon reading. There’s definite potential here for sure.

What an awesome story! I was gifted this book for an honest review.
I wanted to read this story because of the fact it was dedicated to a young man who's life was taken to soon. It pulled me in on that fact alone. I thought, how could an author write a book and dedicate to someone else in that way!
Dakota Madison did just that!! This book makes you feel all the way through it. It's heartbreaking, gut wrenching and even funny at times! I loved it!
Chloe is considered the ultimate catch...the human Barbie Doll. Beautiful, blonde and never worked a day in her life. Her life has been being perfect, everything in it's place, and getting the best grades to get accepted to the best schools and become a lawyer like her father. In steps Franklin...they meet in college. They have the same dreams..to become a lawyer. Both from money..they are perfect. They are engaged to be married and it all falls apart! Nothing is at it seems.
After tragedy strikes and shatters her perfect world. Chloe goes on a quest. A quest to seek out the truth and learning that Franklin and his life are nothing as he painted. Franklin was everything she dreamed for in a man but who was he?? This book will take you on her emotional journey into Franklin's world! She also finds Fisher. A man that isn't her type...he isn't someone who could be in her world and he's also Franklin's twin. Fisher opens her eyes and teaches Chloe a lot about life and herself. She learns its ok to want what and need. It's ok to show emotion and have feelings but more importantly it's ok to be you and to love who you chose!
I don't want to give away the story but everyone needs to read this book! It is still with me and for that I thank the author!
Thank you for writing such a touching story! I absolutely loved it!!

Finding Fisher By Dakota Madison
Independent reviewer for Paranormal Romance and Authors That Rock.
I was lucky enough to get a free copy of this book for an honest Review.
Franklin and Chloe have been together for 4 years and are now engaged and in Stanford School and looking forward to going to law school together and getting married. Chloe is the perfect girl rich parents and good looking. She also thinks that Franklin comes from a rich family but does he?? After a weekend away from her and when Franklin fails to phone her she gets worried and rings his phone and a woman answers but who is she? Well it's his mum and she tells Chloe that is he is dead and doesn't believe her that she is his fiancée, as he has a secret life. He has a girlfriend and a child. So Chloe decide to go and see for herself and go to the funeral but what she see and finds out it not the Franklin she knows. She meets Fisher Franklins twin and he helps her and they hit it off. Loads changes for her and she doesn't know what is right anymore.
Well what can I say I loved this book it only taken me a night to read it as I couldn't put it down. I was so in to this book that I was feeling for Chloe and Fisher and keeping my fingers crossed that they will make it. They are perfect for each other. I loved Dakota's writing style and I hope that they may be more from the two of them. Would love to know if her parents and his mother ever forgave them . And as it was dedicated to the cover model, Joshua Scott Nicholson (August 30, 1990 - December 12, 2014) I think that she couldn't have written a better book for him. I am giving it 5 stars as that is the most I can give.

received in exchange for a honest review.

First I want to say what the author is doing for the memory of the model on the cover Joshua Scott is wonderful. Thank you for that thoughtfulness and kindness to his family, his memory and such a good cause.

This book was a step away from the others that take place in Old Town for her. Franklin was trying to be something he wasn’t and lied so much who really knew him is my question. And Jackson that poor little guy got the short staff of the lottery pool of parents but Fisher was awesome with him.

When I began the book I couldn’t stand Chloe. She thought what her parents wanted her to believe that she like them was superior to others and she acted it. She was snotty and pretentious. It wasn’t until Fisher that you begin to see her change. he brought out the good in her. His brother definitely didn’t in fact he strived to be like her and yet he had a whole world she didn’t know about.

When Chloe finds out about the real Franklin she is hurt and lost. Fisher comes to her aid. His kindness and patience was sweet. He was a great guy even when she thought he was beneath her. As she saw beyond the outside and what he was inside she fell for him. She was what kept her going and when she fought for him that was a turning point in going from not liking her to seeing good in her and giving her a chance.

this is the sweet and at times sad story of a girl who overcomes her upbringing, sadness and betrayal to find not only herself but a really great guy who likes her no loves her flaws and all. Dakota Madison does a great job showing us that love is precious and kind and with support we can blossom and change into someone better.

I was given a copy of this book for an honest review for DRC'S REVIEW TEAM. This is the 1st book I've read from Dakota Madison. Chloe met Franklin at Stanford, they dated for 4 years, now engaged and preparing to go to Harvard Law school together, until he is killed in a car accident with Olivia while visiting family over a holiday break in New Jersey. When Chloe goes to New Jersey for the memorial service, she finds out that her entire life with Franklin was a LIE. What do you do when everything you believe to be true isn't, and you find out your perfect fiance also had a child and a baby mama on the side, and you're not wanted at his memorial service because you're the other woman??? His mother hates and blames you for the accident that killed her son and her grandchild's mother and he has an identical twin brother, Fisher(Franklin said he was a only child) who is your only friend. The emotions in this book are like riding a roller coaster "OMG", this book has happy, sad and humor!!Chloe grows and learns about life, love and how to not judge people based on their education or profession/job thanks to Fisher taking her out of her comfort zone and challenging her to be herself, not her parent's wind-up toy daughter. THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This book is dedicated to the cover model, Joshua Scott Nicholson and a portion of the profits from the sale of the book are being donated to JOINING HEARTS,INC. in his memory.

I’ve read Be Good by Dakota and really enjoyed that story. I received a copy of this story for a review and knew it was a short story.

Chloe was engaged to Franklin and thought he was her perfect match. They were both selected to attend Harvard Law and were making plans for a future together. Franklin went home on spring break and never returned so Chloe decided to travel to his home to find out what has happened. She ends up finding out that everything Franklin told her was a lie – he didn’t have wealthy parents, he wasn’t an only child, etc. She meets Fisher, Franklin’s twin brother and has the impression that everyone in town holds her responsible for what has happened.

I really enjoyed the mystery and finding out the various pieces of Franklin’s real life and how Chloe handles the details.

I loved that Fisher was so different from Chloe and what her family expected from her. He is a mechanic and doing well. He is smart and caring and they had a wonderful chemistry. I loved that the more time they spend together, the closer they become. It’s wonderful to see how something so unexpected turns out to be the best thing for each of them.

I am impressed with the writing and plot of the story and even knowing it was a short story upfront, I really wanted more about the two main characters. The ending is so special and I loved how things worked out.

I highly recommend Ms. Madison’s work and hope to read more of her stories.

I wasn't sure if I would enjoy a story where the main character falls in love with her dead fiancé's twin brother. It felt a bit... indecent or improper. But as soon as I started reading Finding Fisher, I was captivated by Fisher and Chloe. Their story was entertaining, sweet and highly enticing.

As a reader, you almost know as much about Franklin as Chloe does. I think it is why the plot's premise works so well. You're not invested in her past love - in fact you feel betrayed and hurt for Chloe because Franklin was a liar and a cheat. It's easier this way to get caught up in the new romance brewing.

I quickly started admiring Chloe and Fisher. She's quirky and funny - I completely enjoyed her character. She won me over and I desperately wanted her to find happiness. Fisher balances out Chloe and he is incredibly likeable. He's confident and sexy. Their banter is filled with sharp, wit and is at times laugh out loud funny and their passion for one another leaps off the page.

The story moves at a fast pace and is a quick romantic book. I read it in one sitting and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Finding Fisher is an excellent read and I definitely would recommend it.

This book was given to me for my honest review

Belief the meaning is confidence in truth or existence. As we come into this world of the unknown we are taught in the belief of truth. That with all people we are created equal even in fault. What happens when we put our total belief in one person and that person totally shatters our beliefs? Do we continue as we are taught and put our belief in the next or do we just forge upon our lives in existence?

Fisher-handsome, sexy and hidden

Chloe-pretty, smart and confused

Haymakers so gotta love this bar

To the author: The emotions in this book were so amazing that writing the normal review was just impossible for me. The sadness, the truth, the holding back, the happiness in the expressions that come from within your pages are just magical. The reservations between Fisher and Chloe were unbelievable but overwhelming when their two hearts give in to the feelings that they kept hidden within themselves till the explosive passion won out. The forging on into a new light that Chloe once thought existed with one but truly existed with another.

To the readers: Prepare yourself for a read of Awe

Happy Reading

quick, easy and somewhat emotional read.

this is my first dakota madison book but it will not be my last. i was really impressed with her writing. i was also surprised that i didn't feel this story was rushed even though what happened with the characters was very fast. this was a fully developed story and i thought the character development was pretty good despite the length.

chloe has been raised to believe she is superior to everyone. she has lead a very sheltered life and has not really lived. she hasn't done many of the things we all take for granted. after franklin dies, she starts to realize that her life isn't everything she thought it was.

fisher, on the contrary, has always been told that he is 2nd best. always living in the shadow of his superior brother. chloe helps fisher see that he is so much more than what he was shown his whole life. they are a great balance for each other - finally showing each other how to live and love.

we are introduced quickly to a couple of characters that i now know are in a series preceding this which i'll have to go back and read.

Love the title, love the simplicity of the cover and I actually loved the story. It’s a quick read that’s easy to navigate with some good writing and has a great little plot even though it isn’t all that original. It’s in the execution. I’m surprised I liked this so much because if I’m being truthful I really didn’t warm to the female lead, Chloe. But then again we are more often than not a product of our up-bringing and this story shows that all too clearly. There are one or two twists in here, but you are on top of them immediately and there’s no hard thinking to figure things out beforehand. I will say however that Fisher has the potential to become a hot contender for book boyfriend of the month for some. He had a little bit of everything without being too over the top. So yes, would definitely recommend this for a lazy Sunday or a day at the beach. It’s not overly emotional and a good story.

Dakota Madison wow! What a great story of a mutual loss bringing two opposites together.

After finding out her fiance died in a fiery crash, Chloe heads to New Jersey to find out what happened. When she arrives she's greeted by a double wide as opposed to the mansion Franklin talked about. Chloe meets Franklin's twin, Fisher. The two brothers could not be more different. She learns of the secrets Franklin kept and of simple country life from his mechanic twin brother.

The characters were personable people, beautifully created. I was hooked from the beginning and the story did not disappoint. It was also a great comparison of different social societies and how we shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.
And always remember 'pie is love' ;)

After reading the synopsis of this book, I was intrigued to read it!! What a wonderful thing the author did, writing this book after hearing about the cover model's passing at such a young age!
It was a quick but very enjoyable read!
The book makes you think that time is short and you should always life life to the fullest!
I rather enjoyed the characters, namely Chloe, Fisher and Chloe's roommate Nicole!
What Chloe finds out about her fiancée when she goes back to his home town will make you wonder who Franklin really was!! As did Chloe, she starts questioning everything!
I loved seeing how Fisher and Chloe got to know one another and how things progressed in both their lives!
The epilogue was amazing!
I love HEA's and seeing the way it ended was very well done!
An amazing read that should be added to your TBR list

It took me awhile to write this review. I was so torn on the story line and I kept going back and forth with my feelings. This story was so wrong that it was so right! At first I hated Chloe , I thought she was stuck up and you could tell she breathed money. She grew on me and I loved seeing her grow. I loved Fisher, hands down. He was everything. As much as I loved them together I couldn’t shake the thought of the other brother. You know the one she was engaged to. I get that Franklin lied, I get that the lies hurt Chloe. My friend kept telling me “oh well, she met the wrong brother” and she’s right! Chloe and Fisher were perfect together!! I did feel everything happened to fast but such is life. I loved this book!! I will totally re read this.

Happy Reading!!

***I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Dakota Madison!
What happens when your fiancé doesn't come home from spring break and you find out that not only is he dead, but was leading a double life?Chloe is almost neurotic in the planning of her life and her future and when she discovers that her dead fiancé has an identical twin and a son, she's thrown for a loop!
As Chloe struggles with her life changing drastically she also struggles with her instant attraction to her fiancé's identical twin (well, identical in looks anyhow). He couldn't be more different from his brother, and delights in teaching Chloe that life is sometimes supposed to be messy!
The book is fast paced and well written. It was a joy to read this short story.

Finding Fisher was a sweet, if not tragic story.

Chloe’s world has just shattered with the death of her fiancé, but what she soon finds out is that he was living a whole other life.

Going to Old Town, New Jersey, Chloe learns that her whole relationship has been a lie. She doesn’t know how to deal with it, until Fisher helps her.

I liked Finding Fisher, again I wish I knew what the male lead was thinking, but it came together wonderfully. There isn’t a lot I can say with out truly giving the book away, but I can say there is heartache, struggle, strength, and unexpected love. I will say though that I felt Franklin’s family treated Chloe wrong. It wasn’t her fault.

Great read!

I was given an ARC of this book by the author for a honest review.

This was such a sweet and sad story. Sad cause Chloe was dealing with the tragic death of her fiance and the many secrets that he was hiding from her and everyone back at Stanford college. The sweet is when Chloe met the twin brother Fisher that she never know Franklin had. Fisher was such a sweet and funny person. I just loved the back and forth comments and jokes that Chloe and Fisher had. The setting of the town in New Jersey reminded me of the small towns around where I live and I could just picture this whole story all in my mind while I was reading. I was glad how the story ended and I look forward to reading more books by this author.

I stumbled on this book by chance - I'm so glad I did. I loved this story. Chloe was the California Princess, the child of wealth, the perfect girl. Franklin was Chloe's fiance he traveled home to NJ over spring break and never came back. This is not Franklin's story - it's the story of Chloe finding out her entire relationship was a lie. It's the story of finding the truth not only about her life with Franklin but the truth about herself. It's the story of true love but not with the obvious - Chloe and Fisher .... it's a love story you don't want to miss

I started reading Dakota Madison when I reviewed her Fire on Ice series. She is still enjoyable. Her writing is clear and precise. I could see every person and place she described perfectly.
I would love to visit Old Town and meet all these people. I want to go to the deli and get a sandwich.
This is a sweet story to read, it made me cry a few times. I recommend you grab the tissues buy the book and get a glass of wine then settle in and read.
I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Great Book, and goes by very quick as you don't want to put the book down. Chloe goes on a journey to find love again after a huge disaster with her fiancé, when he doesn't return after his trip, so she goes to find answers and what she finds is crazy, but in the midst she falls for another man, and learns about her self along the way. This is a must read. Dakota did a great job writing the book, with the awesome characters, and the plot of the story.

I really enjoyed this book.
It's a heart-warming story of tragedy and love.
I took an instant dis-liking to Chloe, but as the story unfolded I grew to really like her.
I loved Fisher, he was sweet and sexy.
There were a few OMG moments that kept me on the edge of my seat.
Overall a really good read.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review.

To date, I have read every single Dakota Madison book and found all of them to be very enjoyable. Finding Fisher was no exception, I absolutely loved it! Fantastic plot, great characters, and minor tie-in to other books by this author.

Overall, great read and sweet romance. Highly recommend! Definitely a five star read.

Although this was a short book, there was a lot of story packed in. After being deceived, Chloe finds what true love really means. I read it in one sitting and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Finding Fisher is an quick read and I would recommend it.
