I lived with Nadeem for over 13 years. I have read the book now after not wanting to since I found out he had written it.
When we were together he told me on loads of occasions about what had happened to him when he was growing up, and his brothers too.
I can tell you that everything in this book is true. He has even downplayed certain things for whatever reason. I am disgusted at comments from people on here who are trying to blacken his name now he is no longer here.
His family know it’s true. They lived through it. His brother went to the police about his father. He made a statement along with Nadeem. His brother Tariq went to Nadeems house in Speke and confronted his father about their abuse. Total lies Natalie? It’s you who want to hang your head in shame girl

This is not the best book ice read and I feel that this guy really did go from one bad thing to another even though he tried to help people In his life after he had such a bad start. Yes he was wrong to let his niece tough him I'd never agree with that but that he was accused of so much after what he had been through himself I'm not surprised he found that the 'nail on the head' to end his life. The legal system should have more knowledge that to convict someone on no proof.
Over all I liked that this person got to tell his side of the story. It's not very often people do.

Hello my name is roy i am anthonys brother. We worked together with nad on a construction site. I am also maddies cousin. We got to know nad very well we worked together an became good friends. I only just found out what happened to nad in this detail by downloading his book. All i can say that nad was good man warm hearted and caring. He toled us of his many experiences in his life, and i can asure u that everything is true he is saying. I would put my hand in the fire for that. I cant believe the scum that put him through this they should be ashamed of themselves and burn in hell.

I would also like commit this post to nadeem and brother who passed away

I got 19% into this book then deleted. It just sounds like a made up story to me so not believable at all. I have read quite a few child abuse stories more famously A Child called it and for some reason this book just feels made up. Some of the descriptions are just made to try and make you go omg that’s disgusting. Also there is a lot of oh I found out why later. I can only assume it was written that way so you will keep reading so you find out why. Unfortunately I just couldn’t keep reading to find out why I didn’t care enough

I found this book interesting in the beginning and about to the halfway point. Once the chapter began about his job, I found it completely pointless and boring. There were quite a few relationships that were iffy. The book did not really focus on what his parents felt once he was grown. The end of the book was about him being arrested and going through court, although there was not a lot of court room detail, and it always was a bit about his prison life. The charges that were against him were never clearly stated. The charges were not clearly lined out, which I found a little confusing and a quite important part of the story.
