A Comparative Evaluation of Early Spanish and Portuguese Chronicles, The Book of Mormon, Archaeology and Art History. A result of 35 years of research into more than 70 new world chronicles written between 1500 and 1650 but not published until the late 1800's or early 1900's.
Having a firm and undeviating testimony of the authenticity of The Book of Mormon, this book did not have a chore of trying to convince me. It did however, provide such amazing context and clarity on many historical themes as well as ample reasoning for the misconceptions of historians and researchers alike including those who discredit the Book of Mormon on reasons of lack of archeological evidence. It is enlightening to learn the reasons many misconceptions surfaced and interesting to learn the real evidence disputing them. The sheer collection of ancient documents this author has collected and his mastery of languages, is mind boggling, especially because I never have considered that such wide ranging documents and relics might possibly exist. For religious scholars and secular hobbiests, there is a lot to learn here about South America, pre-Columbia and everything one might think of in between. It's fascinating. A long but thorough read!
