Rate this book
Growing up, Allison never realized her mother was hiding a dark secret. Mother's dying words were, "I will take the secret to my grave." That was just what she did. After exploring Mother's attic, Allison stumbled onto an old chest that had remained locked for many years. Unlocking the chest sent Allison on a search for the truth. She never dreamed that Mother could hold on to a secret for so many years. Would Mother's words destroy the lives of several families or would Allison let the secret stay buried with her mother and herself as well?

This was an interesting and touching read. We all have secrets, for sisters Allison and Dana when their mom passes away a secret from the past will come back to haunt them until they decide they need to find out the truths behind the secret written in a letter to them from their mom. They will have to search through some hard truths as they finally dig up the real truth so they can go on with their lives. The author does a great job telling a story that readers will find heart wrenching and heart touching at the same time. This is the first book I have read by this author, but because I like the reader friendly style of her writing and the way she weaves the tale it won't be the last.

Really good book. Intriguing. A tad too short, should have had a few more plot twists.

Tripe

This was absolutely about the worst piece of trash I've ever read and I am 61 and have been reading since I was 4!

I normally don't comment on bad books, but when it's this awful, you really have to say something.
