After seeing the name floating around the internet for a while, I was curious to track this book down, then rather surprised by its shocking brevity. However, I soon found this brief tutorial to be fairly good. I couldn't tell if the author was promoting a ghost tour business or giving serious instruction, or both, but either way it's probably a perfect way to introduce someone to the Ouija board if you yourself have a hard time doing so without using Hollywood scares. If Cumerlato had instead used the term "spirit," or even "energy" rather than "ghost," I think its value as a collector's item might go up a notch. But the ghost thing, I just feel it turns the user's expectations into a Halloween movie; some of the dos-and-donts are a little like the Ten Commandments in their black-and-white presentation, but I guess much like the Ten Commandments, the basic idea is that you should probably refrain from committing physical acts that will turn out to harm others or bum out the party. That's a good tenet in life as well as the Ouija board, so, I'd have to say it's worth it if you have a general interest in Ouija boards. Do you?
This was a fabulous quick read and will help me on my journey of talking to spirits. One thing I disliked was that he called the dead ghosts which I found kinda annoying and unprofessional. But overall this is a very informative quick read that a highly recommend for anyone who is interested in the ouija board. Thank you for writing such an amazing awesome book. I do have some questions that didn't get answered but still overall great book. - Ariah Spotofora
