The NonbelieverHer views are dumb, her dad hates me, and my brother loves her. She's untouchable. But when she tells me that's exactly what she wants, of course I crave what I shouldn't. She thinks God can save her, but eventually, I need saving. Now our worlds are crumbling with each sinful touch, and everyone stands to pay a price upon our reckoning.
The Preacher's DaughterGod has a plan, but it doesn't include an atheist I can't stop wanting. He erodes my strength, making me ache for his touch. If only I could convert him. Now our time is running out. Secrets are being exposed. Our lives are imploding. On judgement day, it's more than love on the line — it's blood, family, and salvation.
Bad Preacher's Daughter is a romance exploring forbidden desire, religious tension, power imbalances, and a possessive, sometimes verbally cruel MMC. The story contains consensual but morally and spiritually challenging dynamics and an earned HEA.
Morgan and Jack are like oil and water, except way more interesting. Morgan's got a super strict religious background, and Jack's all about that atheist life. She's not supposed to be with him, but when Morgan decides to break free, things get real spicy, real fast. I'm not gonna lie, I liked this book - it was like a trainwreck I couldn't look away from, and the writing was on point. I do have a major pet peeve with religious books that get all controlling, but this one was the exception.
Thanks to Book Sirens for sending me an advanced copy to read and review.
Holy shit. I'm going to be so real with you guys, I wasn't 100% I was going to be into this book, just because of how deeply religious the book is. Morgan is the prodigal priests daughter, next in line to run the church, yet she wants to rebel, she wants to venture into dangerous territory. And Jack is the perfect man for her. And once we finally get his whole story at the end, it really helps piece everything together, and his trauma. I couldn't think of a better match for Morgan than Jack.
Jack and Morgan are forbidden to be together and Morgan’s family will go to extreme lengths to keep them apart. I enjoyed this read. The shocking revelations in the last few chapters, i was not expecting. I loved how Jack protected Morgan in many ways including not revealing her dads secrets in the beginning. I loved character development and growth from Jack, Morgan and even Nolan throughout the story.

I needed a break from gay hockey romances (lol, just kidding, can’t get enough), and I picked up a religiously themed dark romance to try something new. At first, I was very invested and swallowed the majority of the book in just a few short days (and long nights).
I thought it had soooo many good ideas and features that interested me. First of all, it is set in a southern religious environment, which I knew nothing about, so that world was brand new to me. I think the author could have done more to paint a picture of such a way of life and what a mega church is, because I was very confused about what was normal and what was extraordinary and detrimental to the book. It would have added to my understanding of the FMC relationships and worldview.
But I realise that a completely secular Scandinavian was probably not the main audience of this read, so I won’t subtract this from the rating of the book – in a sense it was very well executed because it made me curious.
Other things I liked:
* The part Jack’s younger brother played – that was super interesting, and I would have liked to see more of that. In general, what sets Jack apart from your everyday book-boyfriend is his brothers, so I think a bigger focus on that would be lovely.
* The fact that both MCs are mean. That they are equally good at terrorising and manipulating each other. Freaking loved that! It truly made Morgan the ‘bad preacher’s daughter’.
* The author nailed the dual POV. It really felt like being inside the head of two different characters and not just the same person, but with broader shoulders in Jack’s POV.
As you can see at the top of this review, I didn’t give the full 5 stars, and that is largely due to the ending. It was a little rushed, and the worst thing is that it didn’t need to be. I understand that it is a book with a happy ending, but it irritates me to no end that -everything- should be wrapped in little neat bows at the end; that they all become so damn accepting of their situation, some ‘love conquers all’-bullshit.
It can still be a happy ending even though everything isn’t fine. It actually makes the love story more beautiful. If Jack & Morgan didn’t just have to overcome a tough start, but rather continue to struggle and still chose each other, it would literally bring tears to my eyes.
This ending just made me roll my eyes.
But, overall, an interesting book. And if the authors publish another book in the series, I might consider reading it, but I don’t think I’ll reread this, though.

I didn’t know what to expect going into this book but boy was I excited. I love me a good forbidden romance. Morgan is the daughter of a pastor and pastor in her own right, Jack is a man that is doing the best he can for him and his family and a non believer.Their paths cross on day( Jack has a center for special needs individuals) and he seeds this as an opportunity to help his center. so he kind of backed our girl into a corner in more ways than one. 🤭 He gets donation out of the good church girl. This chance encounter leads to a whole lotta whole lotta. A very unpleasant event brings the two of them together again. And then they kinda fall into a situationship. They start texting and flirting all the things. Y’all their face-to-face encounters are the best, shoot their text message encounters are funny. When I tell you, this girl, she may be a Christian, but she manipulates the mess out of Jack. Now Jack knows she’s doing it but he doesn’t care. He allows it. Morgan is a stage five clinger and Jacks nose is so wide open for this girl. And don’t get it twisted she was sprung as well. This girl followed this man to the beach where he was doing community service and just showed up to where he is staying and made herself at home. She uses all her feminine wilds on him. When she followed him she got butt nakey in his room and he was trying to resist. Do you want to know how she got him to let her stay in his room? She told him “If you open the door everyone will see me naked.” Girlie knew he was jealous. It worked, door stayed shut and nosies were made. They have toxic relationship and a lot of back and forth. I love the toxicity(in the books). Now her daddy, big papa pastor I didn’t trust him from the moment I met him. I knew he was low down and down low( wink wink). Due to Morgan’s faith their relationship takes a lot of hits and Jack’s behavior/actions cause it as well. Now let me tell you about this little freaky girl. She gets turned on by bible, Jack says a little scripture and her panties are drenched. When I tell you I cackled this book so hard, especially the end of it. These two went through a lot to be together and end the end love won!!! Morgan and Jack were destined to meet.

Bad Preacher’s Daughter: A Forbidden Romance by Nora Jane Tyler follows Morgan Leigh Montgomery and Jack Killborne. She’s a carefully groomed, social media–savvy daughter of a powerful megachurch pastor. He’s an atheist who runs the Center for Special Hearts, a small, underfunded program serving adults with Down syndrome. Morgan’s polished world of staged worship, livestreams, and strict expectations collides with Jack’s rough, overworked life when she visits his center through his brother, Noel. While there, she leads a Bible study that livestreams to her followers. Their first meeting is tense and confrontational, marked by clashing values, and he quickly puts her on the spot, pressuring her to publicly support the center. As she spends more time there, she begins to see Jack’s reality and the weight of his responsibilities, and she grows to admire him for it. They both wrestle with faith, desire, and loyalty. Will her feelings be returned, or does he only see her as a preacher’s daughter?
Bad Preacher’s Daughter: A Forbidden Romance by Nora Jane Tyler pulled me in with how raw and personal the story feels. I appreciated the alternating perspectives, which gave a deeper look into both Morgan’s and Jack’s struggles. The contrast between their two worlds made their connection feel even more intense. The writing is direct and conversational, with sharp, honest dialogue and interior thoughts that don’t shy away from religious guilt, anger, or desire. There are also twists that many readers won’t see coming. Fans of forbidden, high-angst romance with a possessive, morally gray hero will enjoy this complicated but very readable story. "Bad Preacher's Daughter" by Nora Jane Tyler is a high-stakes, forbidden romance that masterfully balances raw emotional depth with intense, brooding chemistry. Set against the backdrop of a strict religious community, the story follows the journey of a young woman caught between her father’s suffocating expectations and a desire for a life of her own making. The Heart of the Story The protagonist, the titular "preacher's daughter," is a complex character whose external compliance masks a fierce, internal rebellion. Her world is upended when she encounters a man who represents everything her father has warned her against—someone who challenges her faith, her loyalty, and her understanding of love. The tension is palpable as they navigate a relationship that could cost them both everything. Why You Should Read It Irresistible Forbidden Tropes: Tyler excels at the "forbidden" aspect of the romance, making every stolen glance and secret meeting feel both dangerous and deeply earned. Strong Character Growth: This isn't just a romance; it's a coming-of-age story about finding one's voice in an environment designed to silence it. Atmospheric Writing: The author creates a vivid sense of place, contrasting the somber, rigid atmosphere of the church with the electric, untamed nature of the central romance. High Emotional Stakes: The conflict goes beyond simple attraction, delving into themes of religious trauma, family loyalty, and the courage it takes to break free from a predetermined path. Final Verdict "Bad Preacher's Daughter" is a must-read for fans of dark, forbidden romance who enjoy stories with strong character arcs and high-tension plots. Nora Jane Tyler has crafted a narrative that is as thought-provoking as it is steamy, proving that sometimes, the most "rebellious" thing one can do is choose their own heart.
ARC review Oh boy where do I start... First off 5 🌟 🌶🌶🌶🌶 absolutely! Ok about the book: You have Morgan, a 19 year old,she is pure, naive, a people pleaser and... she's the town's preacher's daughter. Her image is everything. Everything to her to her father to the community. But now there are certain feelings that she's discovering. Feelings she cant fall into because its against her God, against everything she preaches. Well until she meets bad boy Jack. She needs to stay away. Her future is already set in stone. Who she will marry,When she will have kids, her job. EVERYTHING!! But Jack makes her feel alive, even though Jack is a non believer, she still wants him. Jack is torn between wanting her and hating her family and everything she believes in. Secrets, manipulation, hidden sexuality, lots of preaching in and out of church. This book has it all!
My personal take on this book:
This is my second book by Nora Jane Tyler and Im sure it won't be the last 2 I read. she has a way of drawing you in to the characters that makes you feel for them, makes you hate them (I messaged her telling her I hated Gabe. you will read why) But about the MMC and the MFC you will love and hate them and feel for them and want them together even though they are complete opposites. The FMC is 19 and has been manipulated for as many years about what and how she should live her life. And thats something you need to keep in mind. If you are a very religious person and would take offense to Bible quotes and using said quotes during bedroom scenes. Well take the warning signs. This book is good. really good. I read it in a day. could not put it down.
⭐ Rating: 4/5 An emotional, intense story with compelling themes, though slightly predictable at times.

📝 Review Bad Preacher’s Daughter follows Morgan, a preacher’s daughter raised in a strict religious environment shaped by rules, expectations, and clear boundaries. But this seemingly solid foundation begins to crack when she realizes her feelings don’t align with the beliefs she’s been taught. Her internal struggle between faith and self-discovery grows stronger, especially when she meets Jack, who represents everything she’s supposed to avoid. He lives freely, without religious constraints, and doesn’t fit into her world at all, which makes him even more irresistible. While she opens up to him completely, he keeps his distance, adding even more tension to their dynamic. What stood out to me was the critical look at modern religion, especially the portrayal of an “online church” that feels more like a brand. It felt unsettlingly realistic and added a whole new layer of depth to the story. In the end, this book is about so much more than love. It’s about identity, doubt, and the courage to find your own path. Emotional, honest, and definitely a story that stays with you.
🚨 Tropes Alert 🚨 ❤️ Forbidden Love 🔥 Opposites Attract ⛪ Religious Conflict 💔 Inner Struggle ✨ Self-Discovery
🎯 Perfect for you if … you love emotional stories with depth and are drawn to themes of faith, identity, and forbidden love.
⚠️ Not for you if … you’re looking for a light romance without heavier themes or feel uncomfortable with criticism of religion.
“I couldn’t stop staring when he installed a door. My ovaries were exploding.”
“For once, I feel human. Not chosen for something greater than myself. I'm wanted for just being myself.”
“I used to think hope was dangerous. Then, I realized, I wasn’t afraid of hope. I was afraid of love.”
ARC review. No spoilers.
This was a really fun and enjoyable read! At first, I was a bit concerned that the religious theme might overshadow everything, but it didn’t take long to realize that it was exactly what made it work so well.
FMC Morgan and MMC Jack are total opposites… in some ways. Preacher’s daughter and atheist. But what chemistry and spark! Both of them are hiding from their own beliefs and real emotions and when they collide, everything that’s been buried starts to surface, revealing who they truly are.
Morgan’s world turns upside down and Jack… such a sweetie who just can’t stay away. His past and everyday life really touched me. I loved this couple!
And I really liked the balance between the religious elements and what we expect from a dark romance. It made the whole story feel fresh, fun and add!ctive.
Maybe a bit predictable here and there, but the HEA was absolutely well deserved.

I started this book in the afternoon and finished it in the early hours of the morning. I couldn’t put it down for later; I needed to know how it ended. This story had my heart racing, and at times it felt tight in my chest. I wanted to cry and hug the protagonists. They’re so beautiful and so broken that you just want to keep them in a bubble so no one can hurt them. Their chemistry is undeniable, and from their very first encounter you can feel the tension. The heroine is sensitive yet strong, torn between her faith and her desires. The hero is intense and protective, carrying wounds from his past. The book touches on several themes that might feel delicate for some readers, such as religion, social pressure, identity, and personal freedom, something the author makes clear from the very beginning. I truly loved the way it ends. The author shows how their bond finds stability through communication, maturity, and honesty.

Jack and Morgan stole my heart. Nora's writing in this piece highlighted what it's like for people who live with manipulative parents who hold high positions in the church, and this is part of why I enjoyed this book so much.
The exposures in the end with Morgan's dad were nowhere near what I expected, and the fact that Jack knew but let her see it herself speaks volumes about who he really is.
I enjoyed the growth of all characters as well as the happy ending, which was not perfect but good enough for both Jack and Morgan, and their dedication to not being pressured by others.
I would read this book again.

The author took this difficult topic about religion and really took it to another level.
This book is something i have never read before. A preacher’s daughter and an atheist? 🤯
How this is gonna work? I had no idea.
But omg she served.
The protagonist was so strong and sweet and giving but she was real, she had her beliefs, her regrets but she knew what she wanted and she was not afraid to fight and break out of the boxes her relegion forced on her. She showed us that it is ok to doubt some times and take chances and actually love.
He , the protagonist was so amazing. He had to brothers he had to take care of, his little brother had Down syndrome and the writer portrayed it so nice and gave us an idea of the reality to live with a person like that. He also run a small business charity about that cause something i found really interesting and caring❤️
Their chemistry was out of this world. The dilemma made this book so relatable and authentic.❤️
I liked also that it showed us the behind the doors of a church and what might actually happen behind closed without us knowing a thing!
'Note: Bad Preacher’s Daughter is a romance exploring forbidden desire, religious tension, power imbalances, and a possessive, sometimes verbally cruel MMC. The story contains consensual but morally and spiritually challenging dynamics and an earned HEA.'
The characters were very complex and compelling and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Holy mother of toxic relationships! I just couldn't stop reading this and the whole time it felt like watching a train wreck in slo-mo. I absolutely loveed the whole concept, the toxicity, the manipulation and the overall suppression of human nature. This would have been absolutely one of my top arcs ever but the ending was "too sweet" and felt lightly rushed. Still a five star read for us who love complex characters, high emotions and angst!
This was my first book from Nora but it definitely won't be my last!

I loved this book!!!! First off I am a huge fan of sacrilegious books. So that was a huge plus. The storyline was good as well. Being suffocated by the church, the standards you have to live by etc… this book follows a young woman and her struggle with her love for God & her love for an atheist. The only thing I felt that could have been better was the ending. The last chapter or two. It felt a little rushed. But wasn’t rushed enough for me to hate it. Overall I really liked this read. And as always , please check your triggers & warnings.
While I don’t generally dive into books about religion as it’s a sensitive topic to me, this book was done really well. I love both main characters in the book. I love how Morgan is selfless and how Jack cares so much about her even though he doesn’t want to. I love love love the ending so much and was not expecting that slight plot twist. I loved that the chapters were not too long and not too short! This overall was a 4.5/5 star read for me!

Forbidden romance is my weakness, and Bad Preacher's Daughter gave me everything I wanted. Morgan's fight between duty and desire, paired with Jack's intensity, makes their connection feel dangerous and irresistible.
The clash of faith, rebellion, and secrets kept me glued to the page, and the writing carried all that tension with ease. It's messy, dramatic, and addictive I devoured every bit of it.

I received this book as an ARC, so first I want to say thank you to the author for trusting me with it.
I really wanted to love and connect with this book(because the tropes, cover and the title of this book are right up my alley), but it just didn't fully work for me like I was expecting. It wasn't bad, but some chapters felt a bit rushed and a little over the place.
Jack and Morgan were a total taboo, but in the best way. Devout and Atheist…while it can happen, I see how difficult it was for Morgan. Especially being Preachers daughter. Her religion teaches her one thing, but her heart is telling her another. This was such an amazing read. Dark and steamy, enemies to lovers. I was on the edge of my seat devouring this one. This was freaking beautifully naughty and I loved every minute of it.
This book was really well written like the books the author writes under her other pen name Endley Tyler. The plot was simple but the scenes and the pacing were excellent. I liked the character arc development of both the mmc and fmc. It was perfect. I hope the author writes good stories like this. I was upset with the writing with one of her other books under this pen name but this book reminded me why I loved her books in the first place <3
More like 3.5 stars. I personally misunderstood what the book was about and I was expecting something darker, nevertheless the story was good. The spice was spicing, characters were likeable. As an ex catholic who does not believe in God per say, I think the book carried more than just love triumphing between forbidden love but an overall positive message about faith and love in general.

I did enjoy this love story, the constant questioning of religion and morals and how that looks to the outside world. I have always struggled to understand why religion plays such a fake role in perception and why it is hard for some to live authentically, as long as we arent harming others why care what happens in people's bedrooms and this book tells that story.
I was a little skeptical just because of the religious part but I'm glad I jumped! This was too good! The forbidden yet longing love did it for me because my girl knew what she wanted! Add this to your tbr!!!!

I enjoy reading a hot forbidden love affair and this one good. What happens when the preacher’s daughter falls for a bad boy non believer? I definitely recommend reading this one! It’s very good and kept my attention.
I liked this book so much more than I thought i would. This book had me feeling all the emotions! It wasn't predictable and had me in a chokehold! I read this in less than a day.
