Seducing the Billionaire #1

Seducing the Billionaire's Wife

Rate this book
Andrew Montgomery has everything money can afford him, except time. His father is ready to give up the helm of Montgomery Industry-something Andrew has been groomed for since birth. Only, his father won't allow him to take control until he satisfies one demand. Andrew must marry and stay married for five years, or the company will be sold off for charity, one share at a time.

Resort hotel maid, Hannah Miller never dreamed that the boy she spent every summer with until she was seventeen would grow up to become ruthless billionaire Andrew Montgomery. Or that he would call in the silly IOU she'd given him for saving her from a dangerous riptide when she was thirteen years old.

But nothing can prepare Hannah for what Drew demands as repayment. The sexy man not only intends to marry her, but to share their marriage bed as well. In every sense of the word.

This was my first time reading a book by Marquita Valentine and I must say Seducing the Billionaire's Wife was one sweet and fun read. This book was a quick fast read that will bring a smile to any reader's face. It's definitely your feel good kind of book. A love so simple and charming.

At 13, Hannah made a promise and an IOU to Drew Montgomery after he saved her from drowning. In her IOU, she stated that she will do anything for her childhood crush, Drew. So fast forward to several years later, Drew decides it's time for him to cash in his IOU since his father demanded that he has 48 hours to get married and stay married for 5 years. Well, the only woman who popped into his mind his childhood friend, Hannah. Once they were married, it is now Drew's job to finally claim her and make her his woman for good. So will this billionaire be able to seduce his wife?

Seducing the Billionaire's Wife was a light, fun, sexy, sweet read. It's just one of those reads that had you smiling. What woman wouldn't want a billionaire seducing them? After a stressful week, this book was a fun read to get lost in. I can't wait to read the next installment. Looking forward to Ella and Blake's story.

This is the typical "I have to get married if I want to inherit my company" romance. There's a bit of hate in the beginning, that I really liked.
But... there were a lot of mistakes regarding writing. My native language is not english, meaning the mistakes were pretty obvious, for me to notice them.
Also, the "change of heart" of the main characters was too sudden for my liking.

This is exactly what I needed this weekend-short,sexy,light read.
The characters are really interesting, both main and supporting ones(I love Blake!),the story is fun and sweet and the ending is satisfying, although I wish that it was a bit longer because I really enjoyed reading about Hannah and Andrew!

Favourite quotes:

William’s quite serious?”
“Oh no. I shared that with you because my dad is full of shits and giggles.”

“What am I supposed to say? Hey, Hannah. It’s me, Drew. I don’t know you if you remember me, but I think it would be swell if we were to marry.”
That’s the most beautiful proposal I’ve ever heard.” Blake mimed wiping away tears. “Perfectly lovely.”

“I have something important to discuss with you, and I didn’t think it would be appropriate to do so over the phone.”
“But you thought it was super okay to buy an entire resort in order to call a staff meeting of one to talk to me?”
That dimple of his appeared again. “Touché.”
“That’s just a little over the top, Drew.”
He shrugged. “It’s a good investment, and I have fond memories of this place. You.”

Why do i even bother with these billionaire romance books? They are all pretty much as predictable and unrealistic as the next.
It’s like these authors go through a checklist

1. Billionaire playboy hero ✅
2. Meek virgin heroin ✅
3. one or both of the mane characters come from a poor family / wrong side of town ✅
4. hero is about to inherit or make a deal of a lifetime✅
5. hero is 6’+ heroin is 5’2” or shorter ✅
6. hero has always slept arround and heroin always looks past it or his “walls” 🤮

honestly , i just , i cant . zero creativity is shown by most of these type of authors . sad really .

Too bad there is not a zero star rating

Childish, poorly edited, nasty hero, ugliness, all characteristics I do not associate with romance. Can't figure out the good reviews. Another example of KU weird ratings on bad books

“Perhaps you have more in me that I thought”

That is an actual quote from the book and it’s full of nonsense like that. It’s incredibly difficult to read.

There are spelling mistakes, sentences with words missing, sentences with extra words thrown into them, grammatical errors, incorrectly used and incorrectly quoted sayings.

The person who wrote this (we won’t call her an author or even a writer) appears to have a very poor grasp of the English language and the writing is terrible too.

Don’t read this, it will rot your brain

This was a cute little novella length book! I adored both Andrew and Hannah; their story was captivating. Marquita Valentine is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine, as this one was another win!

The characters are really what made me love this one - not only are the main characters fantastic, but all the secondary characters are just as awesome as well.

I do wish it had been a bit longer. This one was just a touch too short to fully get a grasp on the story I felt, and I really wanted to spend more time with Hannah and Andrew.

I cannot wait for the next book in the series! I have a feeling it's going to be quite a good one.

Seducing the Billionaire's Wife is the perfect start to Marquita Valentine's Seducing the Billionaire series. Groomed since birth to
take over the family business, Andrew has always received whatever he's wanted. Now as an adult he is on the verge of losing it all, due to stipulations that his father has made. But an old blast from the past may change in all. Hannah owes Andrew a favor that he is calling in. Can a marriage of convenience lead to love? Or is this couple just too different to make it work? A fun read full of seduction and heart. I loved it and would definitely recommend this book. Received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

What a wonderfully sweet story this was. Drew & Hannah were childhood friends who lost touch when Drew was 19 & Hannah just 17. Drew was Hannah’s first love & the yardstick by which she measured all men in her life (even if she didn’t realize it). When Hannah was just 13 Drew saved her from drowning & as a Thank You gave him an open-ended IOU.

Years later Drew finds himself in need of a wife ASAP. With no other suitable candidates, & remembering how Hannah had always treated him like a friend, Drew decides to call in that old IOU.

This is the short, sweet, hot, & sometimes angst-ridden story of Drew & Hannah. It is a stand-alone with an HEA.

If you're a grammar geek or proofreader at heart don't read this book. I'm an avid reader, reading 2 or 3 books a week & I've never read a book with so many typos. Missed words, wrong words, such as wear instead of where. It about drove me crazy. I was shocked to see the long list of books that she's written, considering the poor, unprofessional proof reading. As for the quality of the writing & plot, I wasn't impressed & seriously doubt I'll ever read another of her books.

Sweet, fun, Sexy.

Seducing The Billionaires Wife
Marquita Valentine
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sweet, fun, sexy, humorous and hot, this book basically had it all. Best friends Drew and Hannah spent summers together but from different worlds, she would never live up to the Montgomery name or fit in with their lifestyle. But an uncanny IOU from Hannah offering to help Drew out in the future comes to fruition, but it’s not all happiness.

If Drew wants to take over his fathers company, Montgomery Industries he must marry. Sadly Drew is a woman’s man, and marriage is not his thing, but running MI is everything, after numerous women who could hold up to the Montgomery Family, Drew is left with nothing. Enter his IOU! Things haven’t been good between Hannah and Drew for years so when he arrives at her workplace with a deal, that will work for both parties, he didn’t expect the hatred Hannah harbours toward him.

Marrying for convenience is one thing, hiding the truth from his father is another, but pure hatred will ruin everything before it begins. Then in a humerus run, Hannah and Drew take on new lives, ones that will bring the, together in ways neither expected. With a test like no other these enemies will become partners , then lovers in the hope of happy ever after…

I was easily hooked in this sweet story, and loved all of it.

Typical Billionaire Pretend Marriage Romance

This book is so similar to interracial billionaire books, I wonder if this author writes interracial books. There's nothing different about this book. Drew is the billionaire whose father insists that he marry and stay married for five years or he'll give the business to charity. Hannah has known and loved Drew for years. After none of the women he knew make the cut to be his pretend wife, he honed in on Hannah. Of course Hannah had to have blackmailed to be his pretend wife. They each had stipulations but you knew all along that neither would stick to them.

Drew was not the sexy alpha nor was Hannah a sassy heroine. The book was not the fast read that most books of this genre usually are. It kind of went downhill from the beginning. There are short sketches of back stories for them both. Not enough to explain why he was so cold hearted when it came to women or why she was so rude and bitter. The characters were not fully developed and the plot was thin.

Romances of this type have been done better. This is an okay read if you have nothing else to do.

At the yound age of 13, Hannah wrote an IOU to Drew Montgomery after he saved her from almost drowning. Now, years later and Drew is wanting to finally cash in his IOU; he needs a wife and he needs one now. In order to inherit his company, Drew must get married in the next 48 hours and stay married for at least 5 years, and what better a person to marry than Hannah. Living up to a promise she made years ago, she agrees.

Once they finally get married, Drew realizes he doesn't want to let her go. How does he show his wife that he wants a forever with her? Simple, he seduces her.

I really enjoyed this fast paced read, it was sexy, sweet and a good laugh to the end of a shitty day. This was the first book I've ever read by this author and I am looking forward to reading more.

4 Stars!

Fun premise between billionaire Andrew Montgomery and Hannah Miller, resort hotel maid. Andrew has to get married before his father will let him take control of the business, even though he has been groomed since a young age for doing so. After Andrew’s friend, Blake, attempts to find a suitable match among the many women Andrew has been with, he remembers Hannah. Under the guise of a long ago IOU she’d written him in return for saving her life, Andrew makes Hannah an offer...

Without giving the storyline away, this is a fun story, watching their fake courtship and ensuing time together. Andrew is definitely a workaholic and Hannah is just trying to deal with all of the changes and her feelings for Andrew.

Good story to read on a cold winter day!

The whole forced marriage in a contemporary is a bit ridiculous and improbable but if you can swallow it down the tired trope the story itself is nicely done. Hannah crushed on Drew (his family owned the property where her grandparents worked) since she was a child and Drew always kept her at arms length and firmly in the friend zone. They are now grown ups who haven't been in contact when Drew needs a wife for inheritance reasons *sigh* (no originality here), He pressures Hannah into agreeing for a 3 year period. It's a pretty ridiculous premise and only their interaction saves any of the story. There were numerous edit issues in my particular story that pulled you out of the story and should be fixed. Readable but not particularly memorable.

Seducing the Billionaires Wife was a steamy sweet romance. It was a quick read. The romance was sizzling hot. This book made me laugh and cry.
I loved how Drew and Hannah's story was a fairytale romance. Drew and Hannah had to learn how to trust each other. Once the walls came tumbling down only for Hannah to put them back up. In Scotland, Drew tells Hannah the true story about the tiara she wore during they wedding. The story was sad and appalling. Hannah preferred him to make up a story. The fairytale he tells of them is sweet and heartwarming. Hannah finishes the story perfectly. Top bad the story makes a wicked left hand turn.
I would loved reading Drew and Hannah's story. It's a must read. I'm impatient and ready to read Connors book and then London's.

I couldn't stop

Reading this book was amazing with all its details and all the different characters. I loved how all the characters interacted with each other throughout the story. Drew and Hannah are incredible. I couldn't believe how he kept her IOU for 10 years. When Drew first talked to Hannah after a decade I was shocked to see that he was used to getting his way. Hannah didn't want anything to do with him and she couldn't believe she was really considering his proposal. As time went on they couldn't seem to stand each other and seemed to bring out the worst in each other. The only thing is that Hannah runs away once Drew is ready to confess his feelings. What will Drew do to get Hannah back?

This was a good book, a second chance meets friends to enemies to lovers book. The characters were complex, interesting and grabbed you by the heartstrings...or made you want to slap the stupid out of them. Both are good, it evokes emotion, which makes an excellent book. The only thing that made me rate this a 4/5 is because of the editorial errors. There were sentences that had the same 2 words repeated a few times, words that were obviously in the wrong place in the sentence, or he instead of she and vice versa. Other than those mistakes, which were frequent enough to note, it was a good read.

The only thing that asbestos book is the story line. My frustration with the book is that it
Is an insult to grammar. I highlighted at least 20 or more errors in the less than 200 pages. To her credit none were spelling errors.
I am offended that she, her proof reader and editor could let so many errors pass. I have seen better work in Freshman college papers! I don't recall what Amazon charged for this but it should be free. That is the only way I would waste any more of my time. I would not recommend this book to any serious reader.

This was a freebie on Amazon. It was a quick and easy read. It was enjoyable yet forgettable at the same time. Drew is given an ultimatum by his father---get married or be cut out of the family business. When he runs out of fake fiancee options, he turns to his childhood friend, Hannah. Hannah isn't happy at Drew's return. He left her broken hearted a decade before. But now he's back with a deal she can't refuse---he'll pay off her debts and set her grandparents up for life if she'll agree to his marriage of convenience.

Seducing the Billionaire's Wife

I would have given this story four stars but the editing was really bad. The story revolves around two people who have known each other for years. His family owned the resort her grandparents worked at. Once he saved her from drowning she gave him an IOU. Now years later he needs a wife so that his father would sign over the company to him. She was the only woman who he thought of. But will she willing to with the plan? What about all the other women in his past? This was a fun read except for the editing.
