Keep it casual, keep it fun, and most importantly, no strings attached. These are the rules I’ve lived by when it comes to hooking up, and let’s just say straight boys are my specialty. If I’m nothing more than an experiment, then there’s no chance I’ll get hurt.
The next curious boy to fall into my bed is none other than Spencer Hayes, finance bro and my best friend’s roommate. There’s no denying our chemistry is off the charts, and the constant flirting has felt like a year-long edging. It was seriously overdue. But one time isn’t enough, so we make an arrangement. Follow my rules this summer, and nothing is off-limits as long as we both consent.
If things get too intense and emotions become involved, I’m ready to jump ship because no one’s breaking through the walls surrounding my heart. I don’t do serious. Ever.
Spencer
My path in life has been paved for me, with no room for detours. Go to college, get a degree in finance, and follow in my dad’s footsteps with a boring office job, wife, and kids. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy crunching numbers, but I’ve always had bigger plans for myself than the family accounting firm. And I’ve always been curious about what it’s like to be with a man. I’ve just never taken it that far. Until Tate Sinclair. With his blond curls, painted nails, and that sexy, smart mouth.
Tension has been building between us for months, and when we finally give in and go back to my place after a wild party, it’s truly explosive.
I knew hooking up with Tate would be risky, but I didn’t know it would flip my world upside down and leave me craving more than just a physical connection. The more nonchalant he acts, the deeper the wound in my chest becomes, until I have no choice but to tell him how I feel. I’ve completely fallen for him, and I want more than some shallow arrangement. I want his heart and soul.
The Bro Arrangement is book three in the Best Bros Forever series, a collection of standalone contemporary gay romances. You can expect friends-with-benefits, bi-awakening, a size difference, and found family. This novel is intended for 18+ readers.
Charli Meadows is an obsessive reader, avid bookstagrammer turned PA, and now an author herself. Lover of all romance, she plans to write a little bit of everything, but make it sweet and spicy.
Living in North Carolina with her husband and young daughter, you can usually find Charli working her boring corporate job or at home playing video games, if she’s not reading, writing or daydreaming about books.
This is a best friend’s roommate to more romance, featuring Tate Sinclair and Spencer Hayes, and is book three in the Best Bros Forever series.
Tate keeps things casual to avoid getting hurt, but his summer fling with Spencer starts to mean more than he planned. As Spencer falls for him, Tate has to decide if he’s willing to risk his heart.
This was a fun, steamy read with lots of tension and building feelings. Spencer is so easy to love, while Tate’s emotional walls add just the right amount of angst. I loved the mix of playful banter, emotional vulnerability, and that push-pull dynamic as Spencer wanted more while Tate tried to hold back.
Things to expect in this book are: Book 3 in series MM college romance Best friend’s roommate Size difference Summer fling Friends with benefits Hurt / Comfort MC in lingerie Spin the bottle Not-date dates Mechanical bull & chaps Spicy times & dirty talk Biting & breeding S*x toys & spanking Food play: ice cream Feminization Hand cuffs & blindfold Role playing & Outdoor s*x Calls him Princess Admit feelings HEA
Tate and quite frankly his friend Daija too are just the most annoying ppl i’ve ever read about. They seem kinda heartless towards others and just seem so careless about everything and everyone and it’s not cute
Spencer idk just kinda flat for me
The “I got my heart broke by my first partner and now all I want to do is f around no strings” is such a tired trope i’m so sick of it
THE BRO ARRANGEMENT is the third book in the Best Bros Forever series. It can be read as a standalone.
What to expect: 🍑MM Romance 💚Friends-with-Benefits 🍑Bi-Awakening 💚Opposites Attract 🍑Fast-Burn 💚Found Family
Tate and Spencer are friends since their friends have started dating. Spencer is straight. Tate is gay and not looking for anything serious. He was in a relationship once and got used and his heart broken. He never wants feelings involved again. His favorite type to hook up with is a curious straight boy, so when he notices Spencer staring a little more than he was before he makes a move. Spencer is more than willing to take Tate up on his offer. They make a bro arrangement that for the summer they can explore what's between them as long as they both agree that is just for sex, and that no feelings will come between them.
The longer Tate and Spencer are spending time together it becomes obvious to everyone around them that their relationship is getting deeper than just sex. Tate wants to distance himself from Spencer he's hoping space between them will stop the want for Spencer but unfortunately it doesn't. Spencer wants Tate on a level he never expected but he's willing to do what Tate needs until the ex shows up and gets violent.
I loved the story between Tate and Spencer. Spencer wants to offer Tate the world but knew enough to wait on Tate to let his walls down enough to let Spencer in. Tate had so much trauma from his past that he couldn't let go to except a love in his future but he knew letting Spencer go would be a huge mistake.
I can't wait to see what's next from this author!
I was given a free copy of this book to read and review by the author.
I went into this expecting a fun, messy, friends-with-benefits situation. A bro arrangement, if you will 🫢
What I got? Two idiots catching feelings while pretending they absolutely were not.
Tate…oh my god. How he frustrated me (and I get it, but still). This guy really said "no feelings, ever again" and then spent the entire book fighting for his life trying not to feel anything. And I loved him for it. He's confident, bratty, chaotic, and very much in control…until he's not.
And Spencer?? Sir. Be serious. You do not go from "just curious" to that level of gone without me judging you just a little. But also…I get it. Because Tate? I'd fold too 🫠
The chemistry between them is actually insane. Like…the kind where every interaction feels like it's building toward something explosive. And when it finally happens? Damn. It delivers.
And listen…this book is not shy. At allll. It's spicy, it's filthy, and it's a little unhinged. But what made it hit for me wasn't just that - it was the emotional undercurrent. Because underneath all the teasing and hookups, this is really about fear. Fear about putting yourself out there again. About not wanting to get hurt again. About wanting something more and absolutely refusing to admit it.
And watching that push and pull? The tension? The denial?
I ate it up.
Also, the found family vibes?? Still everything. I love this group so much, and it made all the chaos feel a little softer around the edges.
Overall, this was messy, hot, a little emotionally frustrating (affectionately), and exactly the kind of story where you just sit there like "you two are so dumb…please don't ever stop."
Tate never wants to go through the heartbreak he experienced the first time he thought he fell in love. Being used and tossed aside is the last thing he ever wants to feel again. So he has a rule. No relationships. Hook ups only and no feelings whatsoever. But then he meets Spencer. And Tate knows he is in trouble. The chemistry between them is insane. And Spencer treats Tate like the princess he very much is. But can he truly overcome his fears? Spencer knows Tate has the power to change everything for him. Questioning if he was truly bisexual becomes answered the moment he lays eyes on Tate. And the first time they kiss? Spencer’s a goner. He agrees to Tate’s rules but he knows deep down that sticking to them is going to be the hardest thing. Not when the more time he spends with Tate the more he wants to be the man to give Tate everything he deserves. But will Tate give him a chance to prove it? Another great story in this series! These two had no chance of not falling for one another. They had great chemistry and a great friendship and if they are brave enough it could be so much more. I loved that Spencer was so patient with Tate and wasn’t afraid of his feelings. And Tate definitely deserved a man who treated him right after what he had gone through! Great story!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Tattttteeeeee! Damn he frustrated me. I mean, I understood where his hesitance came from when it came to dating. He'd had a bad experience that really threw him for a loop. Hook-ups were safer. No emotional entanglements. No breaking hearts. But by the time he decided that things were moving too far in that direction poor Spencer was already head over heels in love. And so was Tate for that matter. I wanted to bonk him on the head, while also hugging him and telling him it was okay to let his walls fall when it came to Spencer. He deserved to know what a real relationship was supposed to be like.
"𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚋𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚋𝚎𝚜𝚝 𝚒𝚗 𝚖𝚎."
"𝙰𝚗𝚍 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚋𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚏𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚔 𝚒𝚗 𝚖𝚎."
This book was H-O-T!! Remember, these two are in a friends with bennies situation so hooking up was par for the course. And they hooked up A LOT. You also won't hear me complaining one bit because woo-weee those two could burn up the sheets. 🔥🔥
There were also some super sweet moments. Like Spencer bringing Tate flowers or when one of them would be emotionally vulnerable with the other. I felt like Tate needed to grow a bit and once he did he was able to truly accept what a gift he had in a man like Spencer. I also loved how everything wrapped up in the end. It was great seeing Tate and Spencer, along with their best friends thrive. It made for one heck of a happy ending.
The Bro Arrangement was a really enjoyable friends-to-lovers romance with a bi-awakening element that added an extra layer to the story.
Tate and Spencer’s connection builds naturally, especially since they’re already in each other’s orbit through their best friends. What starts as curiosity and tension quickly develops into something more.
I really liked how the dynamic played out—Tate initially keeping things casual to protect himself, while Spencer becomes more certain and persistent as his feelings grow.
The shift from a summer fling to something deeper felt natural, and the emotional tension came through in the moments where Tate tried to pull away while Spencer continued to show up.
Overall, this was a fun, engaging read with a strong dynamic, emotional growth, and a satisfying progression from casual to something more meaningful.
Tate and Spencer had chemistry from the very beginning, and this book made that tension work so well. What starts as a casual arrangement quickly turns into something with a lot more heart, and that shift was what really sold me on them.
Tate’s fear of getting hurt adds a lot of weight to the story, and it made him easy to understand even when he was pushing back against something good. Spencer was such a strong match for him because he’s patient, steady, and never made his feelings feel like something to hide from. I really loved the contrast between them and how naturally their connection deepened over time.
This one had the spice, the banter, and the emotional payoff. It’s a friends-with-benefits story, but it’s also about vulnerability, trust, and finally letting someone in when you’ve convinced yourself that’s the one thing you can’t do.
This is a standalone in the Best Bros Forever series and it’s a total WOW for me. Great characters, lots of fun and steamy behind closed doors (ok steamy outside of closed doors too but in a total foreplay kinda way). Tate is gay and proud. He’s fun, flamboyant, and doesn't do relationships. He’s been there and been hurt so for him it's fun one night stands and usually with straight guys looking to experiment (No way to get hurt that way). But there is something about Spencer, his best friend's roommate. Same for Spencer. He's always been curious about being with a guy, but never acted on it until Tate. Their chemistry is off the charts. So Tate suggests a summer fling, with no strings and not attachments. But what happens when that isn’t enough?
Outstanding Bi-Awaking, flirty, fun read that this reader thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend it.
This narrative follows the journey from friends to friends with benefits, ultimately evolving into a lovers trope. I appreciate how Spencer is open to fulfilling all of Tate's wants and needs, and how he remains persistent in expressing his feelings for Tate.
Tate experienced a challenging relationship during his freshman year, which ended poorly. Since then, he has opted for casual hookups, vowing never to enter another relationship, no matter how jealous he may feel.
On the other hand, Spencer has had some experience with guys, but he genuinely enjoys flirting with Tate and hopes their connection can deepen. When Tate proposed a "Bro Arrangement" between them, Spencer sensed that it was likely to develop into something more significant.
Tate was a little frustrating for me to read. He had been burned badly in the past and didn't want to repeat his past mistake with Spencer. Instead, he thinks he can just hookup with Spencer and not get any emotions involved and defintely no relationship.
Despite what Tate wants, he and Spencer spend a lot of quality time togehter. Spencer wants Tate to know he's not just another straight guy playing around. He likes Tate and wants to be with him. He just has to get Tate to realize that they'd be great together.
After getting over wanting to shake Tate, this was a fun book that brought in all of the characters I have enjoyed in the previous books in the series. As always, I love found family and an overarching plotline. :)
The Bro Arrangement is book three of the Best Bros Forever Series.
Things between Tate and Spencer certainly heat up. Tate is a flirt that protects his heart. Spencer is curious about being with a man and finds his interest peaked even more with Tate. Tate tries very hard to keep his feelings in check as he doesn't want to be hurt again and we see him struggle with everything going on with his heart and his growing feelings for Spencer. I loved the aspect of them being friends and just having fun, and then both getting invested, but trying to hide it from the other for their own reasons. Spencer was a great person to get Tate out of his head and to accept what was happening with his heart. They were super cute together and I appreciated Spencer's patience and understanding with Tate.
What starts as a simple, mutually beneficial arrangement between Tate and Spencer quickly spirals into something way more complicated and real.
Tate is determined to keep things casual, guarding his heart after being hurt before, but Spencer slowly chips away at those walls. Their chemistry is intense, but it’s the emotional connection and growing vulnerability that I really liked. Watching Tate go from no feelings, no strings to catching real emotions was so great.
There’s humor, tension, and just the right amount of angst as feelings sneak in where they definitely weren’t supposed to. When it all finally clicks, it sooooo good.
If you’re looking for a light and swoony read then this is for you!
4.5 ⭐️ Thanks Charli for the ARC! This was such a cute, heartwarming and emotional at times story. I loved Tate and Spencer already from The Bro Date and I love them even more now (especially Spencer, he's a gem). Dare I say they are my favourite couple from the series! I'm so thankful they found their (earned) happily ever after together. I would read another 100 books of this series honestly. I'd love to get a novella of their time in NYC *cough cough*.
🩵 FWB to lovers 🩵 Strict roles 🩵 Feminisation/lingerie 🩵 No cheating/no other partners 🩵 Some OM drama with Tate's ex 🩵 Short third act breakup
Book three of the best bros forever follows Spencer and Tate, two very different personalities but what they say is true, opposites do attract. After agreeing to a friends with benefits only situationship they start seeing each other in a different light. Their simmering chemistry bursts off the page throughout the book. Tate is reluctant to take things further as he doesn’t believe good things last and has been hurt in the past but Spencer continues to show him in all his many wonderful ways that he is one of the good ones. Great story, spice amazing! Chemistry is off the charts with these two!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book. This is the 3rd book in the Best Bros Forever series. Each book in this MM series can be read as a standalone. Tate has been the fun, no strings attached, casual guy since freshman year of college when he got his heart broken and stomped on. He knows he shouldn't entertain the idea of a friends with benefits with his best friends roommate. But as long as they both no the rules then what could it hurt. Spencer is working for his dad at his accounting firm. It's not the job he would have taken but it's good experience. Just boring and he wants some excitement in his life. He just wasn't prepared to have his life turned upside down. I am really loving this series and hope we get more from them.
I really enjoyed this story spence and Tate were so hot together! Their chemistry is insane.
Poor Tate had his heart broken so he sets some rules for hooking up with Spence for the summer who agrees to a friend’s with benefits arrangement no strings, and Tate won’t get hurt. As we all know it’s not always so easy not letting feelings get involved.
Spencer is so sweet and so patient with Tate he really is such a green flag!
The story is fast paced funny, full of heart, full of spice and the push and pull gives it just the right amount of tension.
↓↓ Spencer and Tate had an arrangement and of course it couldn't stay a friends with benefits thing for long.
There was this back and forth with Tate for the longest time but seeing them finally come together was the absolute sweetest. Tate has a lot of trauma from his past but when he finally realized what he was doing, I was happy.
Spencer was all in from the beginning and my heart broke for him a little with the way Tate was so whisy washy. I was happy that he got what he wanted in the end.
Super cute read.

I think I'm a masochist, because I read it even though I knew it wouldn't be good......
Honestly. Tate and Daija are the most insufferable characters I've read in a while. Everything in them is stereotyped to the point that it gets weird to read, it almost feels like fetishization.
Spencer is pretty much copy-paste of Shane.
Why does everybody growls and moans all the fucking time?
They're fucking 90% of the chapters and it got so boring I was skipping sex scenes like my life depended on it.
I read it just to finish the series because I don't like to abandon series after I started it. This is the worst of the three.
Spencer and Tate's story goes from a friends with benefits arrangement to boyfriends. Tate overcomes some past issues holding him back from a relationship and Spencer finally confirms that he is Bi after all. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.
I was provided an ARC through Chaotic Creatives and this is my honest review.
The Bro Arrangement is the third book in the Best Bros Forever series and can be read as a standalone. This is a sexual awakening, found family, fwb, steamy read about Tate and Spencer. This was such a great story with wonderful characters, these two are just hot together. I love this series so much.
Dnf.
I absolutely couldn’t put it down. I absolutely loved reading Tate and Spence’s story! There is lots of spice and a great story. If you enjoy friends to lovers with lots of spice I highly recommend checking it out.
My Tate finally got his HEA with Spencer. Yes they had some obstacles but knowing that Spencer fought for him and should him that he can trust him was so special. It’s sad that it took Tate that long to see Spencer’s intentions but I’m glad they are together. Such a cute couple and love this book!
Tate and Spencer spiral into an emotional live that is messy and cute. I loved this third book in this series. I enjoyed reading this book and how I was hooked from the first page
Afraid of being hurt again, Tate has set himself some rules. When he makes his arrangements with Spencer, those rules are threatened. Spencer is patient with him and tears him oh so right. Spencer’s questions about himself gets answered the more time he spends with Tate and he comes to realise that Tate is the one for him. With a lot of patience and care he sets out to change Tates mins]d about what a real relationship can be.
A friend with benefits story that leads to love and so much, ore. There is banter, emotion, spice and a HEA that is very well deserved.
