Sprinkle nutmeg on your lottery tickets. Put some money in the pockets of a new suit before wearing it. Carry a Virginia fairy cross, like Charles "Lucky" Lindbergh. Walk up a flight of stairs backwards. Eat sauerkraut on New Year's Day. And if you accidentally put an article of clothing on wrong side out, wear it that way all day long. Good luck! (back cover)
I got this book as a gift. I enjoyed reading it and keep it on my coffee table to read a page or three occasionally. Easy to read in segments. No plot or story to forget. Consists of many 1 to 2 page items about the history, traditions and lore of luck.
I love it a lot and kept it for years. I think I got it in 2002 or 2003 but I have kept it for a long time until in 2012, a classmate borrowed it and never returned to me and even brought it when she moved abroad. I kind of resent her for that, to be honest. Wish I could have it back.
