This part two was great. It was written to where you thought the right people were with the right people for a chance at love after failed or bad relationships. Imagine you survive being shot, for a second time in your life, only to uncover more than one person is after you and yours but when it’s all said and done, the enemy was closer than you thought, and was jealous of how you moved, which was obviously better than they could. So they’ve been harboring jealous for years. Then to find out the truth of your mother’s death, which you and your twin witnessed and were victims as well. Raised y a no nonsense Aunt, who revealed info she finally felt that you could handle. She wasn’t exempt from the enemies jealousy and wrath either. To see who was running the entire chess game to eliminate all the remaining McCarters will surprise you and those who thought they were calling shots were actually pawns themselves. It’s a twister of who dunnit and very good.
Book 2 was all that I thought it would be. I must say Egypt you dirty crazy woman you, how could you risk your life playing around with fire? in the end, you play with fire, you get burned, and that is what happened to Egypt.
What had me in an uproar is dear old gangsta Auntie Kim. WOW!!! I did not see that coming. I cried when her scene came up. She was really all that the boys knew and she kept them on their toes.
This book/series is highly recommended and favored. This book/series was jammed packed with action, drama. twists and plots that would blow your mind.
I wish we got to see more of Easton and Kyson interact , since there was so many side characters getting their own chapter. I love the series though, very good plot and it kept me entertained. I usually don’t like reading books where the side characters have their own chapters, but I honestly enjoyed this. The ending was pretty abrupt, it felt like there was gonna be a need for a third book up until the last page where it was just suddenly happily ever after. Overall I finished the book satisfied, entertained, and emotionally invested. The way the author wrote in the characters grief , really moved me. It is worth the read for sure!
The get back was real! The heffa Egypt, smh…I just knew she was on some other stuff. Easton’s bestie knew that Kyson was good for her and she was always with the shenanigans to make sure Kyson had access to his woman 😂 this was a great follow up to book 1.
