Gracie is a professional disaster. When she drunkenly crashes a lavish wedding to save her best friend from a bad match, she trips, bites the groom on the neck, and passes out.
Oops.
In werewolf law, a bite is a Claim.
The groom is Nikos, the Alpha Prime of Europe. He was dreading this arranged marriage, and Gracie’s teeth just gave him the perfect out. He declares the chaotic, hungover human his "True Mate" to escape pack politics.
Now Gracie is whisked away to a private Greek island with a man who looks like a pirate and growls like an engine.
The deal? Play the doting mate for a month. The reality? Nikos is possessive, touch-starved, and determined to make the fake claim real.
Between sun-drenched beaches and moonlit chases, Gracie realizes that being bitten back is actually the best part.
One teensy little misunderstanding has Gracie showing up at her friend's wedding to stop her from making a mistake. A little drunk, a lot awkward, and one bite later she's told her friend isn't the one getting married. At what point she passes out. As one does.
Waking up on a private island in a gorgeous villa with the sexy man she accidentally bit telling her he's a werewolf and she just have him the excuse he needed to stop his arranged marriage is a lot to take in. But Gracie manages to wrap her head around it. And then she takes Nikos up on his proposal to be his fake True Mate for a month.
Excccccept, maybe it's not as fake as Gracie thought it would be. She likes Nikos and his world. Her chaos brings a little spice to his life. It isn't long before these two are tangling the sheets (among other things) and learning one another on every level.
Some political maneuvering, one Alpha wolf who is knows a good lady when she bites him, and a lady filled with chaos and light who is exactly what the big wolf needs. *thumbs up*
The story starts with Gracie crashing a wedding she thinks is her BEST friend’s wedding to a man she met a month ago. She arrives and has a couple of drinks for liquid courage and becomes drunk. She stumbles into Willa talking to the groom and trips into his arms where she bites his neck before passing out. She effectively stops the wedding but her friend was only a bridesmaid. When she comes to she finds out biting the groom was a claiming bite which is very important to werewolves. She agrees to spend a month with Nikos as his fake mate which of course becomes real within a month. His sister Cassandra doesn’t approve and the former bride Katarina’s father wants the marriage to still happen . You need to read the rest of the story to find out the rest. My only disappointment is Willa was Gracie’s best friend and is never heard from again. No checking in with her to ask if she is okay or doing the right thing. Just thought that was a strange thing but otherwise a great book.
If you want to read about werewolf romance about drool worthy characters and kick your feet in laughter, then you need to read this book. Not only this book but the entire series. I have my favorites and this is one of them, but every single short and sweet story is swoon worthy.
One drunken bite started it all. I liked the storyline here. A drunken mishap to stop her friends marriage, accidentally biting the groom and finding out it wasn't her friends wedding after all. Then finding out he's a werewolf and eventually coming to the conclusion they are fated mates. This was such a feel good book to read as they got their HEA.
This was a short and easy read to decompress with after a long week. Accidental mate bond, a couple weeks later a happily ever after. This was a little cheesy but entertaining!
Well. Chaos agent seems like a good description of Gracie; even when she doesn't want to be. But controlling reckless impulses, at least somewhat, can help create good outcomes.
Enjoyed the human female's humor and point of view one everything. Enjoyed the werewolf male's acceptance and enjoyment of the human female's personality.
This was a low angst fun little romp in the werewolf shifter genre with a sassy human heroine and an in control alpha who is kind of hot :). A good quick read.
