Aiden and Finn have been friends since they were teenagers. Not even nine thousand miles could separate them for too long. When the coach for The Bath Centurions selects them as the team’s new co-captains, they must figure out a way to merge their opposing playing styles and form a cohesive leadership or lose their newly appointed roles. But between playing rugby and hooking up in secret, how will they find the time to work on their differences? Worth a Try is the third book in the Try for Love series. A collection of British rugby MM interconnected standalones. Expect friends to lovers, found family, lots of banter, and a little bit of rugby.

4.75⭐️ Aiden (Pi) and Finn (Eggo) are so chaotic, but so freeeeking likeable.
I’d you had told me to read a book about TWO idiots that cheat on their girls friends, I would be like, nah. Not for me. But JEMMA DOES IT AGAIN and somehow these two are the most likeable dolts!! And the way it’s done is so good. The girls are treated with respect and they’re not painted as villains.
Yet again, Jemma Croft’s masterful writing made book three of the series funny, entertaining, and full of so much love. I thought I was going to get through this one without crying, but I shed some happy tears. 🥲
This book has: -teammates that hookup and have a complicated relationship (and cheat on their girlfriends because they’re fools) -secret relationship -super organized x super chaotic (but super compatible) -hilarious and awesome kid (how does Jemma write kids that don’t annoy me! Idk but bravo) -ridiculous shenanigans that will make you laugh -perfect tie-ins with the previous two books
Honestly this series is top-notch. Jemma’s writing is masterful, hilarious, and really gets you just adoring the characters. They’re relatable and fun, and flawed but lovable.
Pi and Eggo are the dictionary definition of ‘idiots in love’. Friends and teammates that always look for each other in a crowded room, have a secret language (three squeezes? Fucking adorable…), and can’t stay away from each other or stop sleeping with each other even though they both have girlfriends…and yet can’t seem to realise they love each other.
I knew Worth a Try would be great, and be filled with many hilarious moments, it is a Jemma Croft book after all, and it definitely filled that brief, but what I didn’t expect was for me to have to stop myself tearing up so many times. There was something about Pi that just made my heart hurt, and want to protect him against everyone and everything.
I didn’t need to though, Eggo did that perfectly well himself. I mean, they were both idiots still but they were adorable, loveable idiots that you couldn’t help but cheer for.
I loved seeing the other couples from the series as well, especially as the story spans a few years and jumps around the timeline a couple of times, so we get to see events from the previous books from Pi and Eggo’s point of view.
If I’ve picked up on the hints for the MCs of the next book correctly, I’m looking forward to it even more now. Can’t wait to see where it goes.
Protect these two goofs! At all costs! Yes, I wanted to smack them both and tell them to get their heads our of their asses most of the book but I fell in love with these idiots. Jemma writes idiots in love so well that you can't help but become obsessed and cheer them on. That HEA was a journey but we made it there eventually.
I always expect some emotional damage in a Jemma Croft book, but I didn't expect the most tears to come from a simple sentence: "I said go ask your dad." .... "I did." BAWLING. But have no fear, between the tears and sniffling you'll be laughing your bum off. And probably googling a bunch of things.
The neurodivergent rep was great! Pi was very relatable and I knew I was going to understand him as soon as I read this part from the Prologue "I'm not sure there's much on offer I'll be able to eat. Not that I have allergies or a digestive disorder or anything, I'm just a fussy cunt." I mean, I do have a digestive disorder but I'm also a fussy cunt when it comes to food. And reading Eggo's relationship with his son, who has audhd, was like looking at my own life sometimes. It was so sweet but such a true reflection of how parenting neurodivergent kids can be both amazing and tiring.
Between Books 1 and 2 I knew this one was going to be full of banter, ridiculousness and so much sweetness.
We start off at the very beginning, when Aiden and Finn first meet and unknowingly become attached in a way they cant yet explain. It was great to have these tidbits on information because as the story grows, we see them mentioned and those moments truly had a significant impact on the boys.
" I was told I’d make friends for life here, but I’m only a last- minute gap filler. I’m not even legally old enough to drink. Who’d want to hang out with me?"
Poor Pi didn't know what he had gotten himself into but luckily his thoughts were proven wrong :) “You should come to Blighty,” Eggo says matter- of- factly. “What’s not to love? Bad food, shit weather, homesickness."
It was interesting seeing the friendship between Pi (Aiden) and Abs (Harry) from Pi's POV all the way from the beginning, through Lan (both times) and into the future. And we finally get to hear about the captaincy from the two that were nominated for co-captains. We start off in he present, then go back to the Halloween party and slowly move back to the present as we learn more and more about their situationship.
“I should probably go.” Those words, uttered immediately after a shag have become almost as much a part of the ritual as the fucking itself. I’ve said them often enough myself to know that they were coming, but . . . urgh, just once I wish they wouldn’t. “Yeah, okay"
Yes there is cheating in this book. Do not read if that is a trigger. Yes Eggs is cheating even though Megan offered an open relationship because he lies to her about it.
The autism rep in this book was different that some of the others ive read. We get to see Eggs POV with his son and how he as a parent supports him, we see Pi's POV with himself but also a with Eggs Son, Logan, as that's what make it click for him.
My favourite relatable line: "Pi is a very particular eater. For example, he will eat chicken, but only if he’s prepared the meat— or watched me prepare it— and has cut off all the “grotty” bits." Like Pi, I am particular, I research menus before heading to new restaurants, I make sure to have back ups, and also like Pi, i have a family that isn't always supportive for that and a partner who is the most supportive.
A close second is this line : "Though bisexual feels wrong too. Phoney. I just . . . don’t feel queer enough for that. Like I don’t qualify for that label. That I don’t meet the right specs" I'm pretty sure some people say this is internalized biphobia but its not a reoccurring thing. This is typical of bisexuals because we live in a world where society demands binary and consistency so we don't always make sense. Like if you're with one gender for years, then automatically you're not valid as a bisexual and i think its needed in books to keep up awareness within Queer spaces.
“Listen, pard, you don’t need to have shagged every gender to know which ones you like and which ones you don’t. Not boinking a dude doesn’t make you any less queer."
Between the Australian and Cornish sayings and words, the banter and the utter ridiculousness that is Pi and Eggs (and theres a lot), there is also a ton of incredible sweet and tear filled happy moments.
"but he makes my insides feel . . . gooey, soupy, or like they’ve been removed and put back in the wrong order."
"Uh . . . yeah, actually. What’s your favourite dinosaur?” He doesn’t look at me weird, doesn’t laugh, doesn’t even hesitate with his response. “No contest. Pachycephalosaurus, pard."
“Loads of boot space,” he says, opening that too. “Do you have any dogs?” Megan slaps my arm with the back of her hand, and I know she’s immediately thinking of Trekkie too. Trekkie. I can just imagine Pi’s face if I rocked up in a car with an exclusive safe zone for his little buddy.
I could go on and on and on. This began longer than I expected so TLDR: just read the book!!!

Fuck me so fucking hard that I travel back in time, visit myself as a teenager, and warn him about this moment in his future" -"He could call me a filthy fucking animal and spit on me, and I'm sure that would also get me going"
Jemma continues to knock this series out of the park. I love these sweet, adorable dummies. Eggo is such a great dad, goes with the flow, is effortlessly funny and worships Pi like he's the sun. Pi is an organized overthinker with a heart of gold and delicate palette. I love their chemistry together and how they each pay attention to the little things. These two are pulled together like a drug or like a kid to candy. They need each other so bad, they cheat to be together, but Jemma does such a great job of handling the situation so no one is the villain and it doesn't give off any icky vibes. I recommend this book if you love silly, chaotic friends who slowly fall for each other, while trying to stem their flow of attraction.
Pi and Eggo’s story is everything I love about Jemma Croft’s writing- swoony, witty, immersive, hugely satisfying. She gives us characters we are completely totally invested in, banter that has us laughing out loud l, nuance that gives us a deeper understanding of people and sweet touching moments that squeeze our hearts. She also always touches on deeply significant topics with a light sensitive hand so that they are completely reflective of many a lived experience.
Finn and Aiden are just brilliant - I love them both equally- completely opposite yet so similar. I absolutely adored Finn’s son Logan - what a firecracker - I loved the dares 🤣! I loved George and Megs! Jody and Finn’s family are absolutely stellar.
They are a little bit idiots in love (I don’t love that term but you know what I mean) clueless and bumbling their way into falling in love. They are massively flawed too cause their bumbling has consequences for others but when you read it you’ll see they own and try to make up for their bad choices. Predictably it doesn’t go to plan but they try again 🤷🏻♀️!
These two cannot keep their hand off each other 🤣 this makes for some hilarious situations - Harry asking them what they were doing “that” without him had me rolling on the floor and Harry is tenacious he will not let it go 🤣🤣! Or TShirtgate 🤣🤣
That is all just made better by these amazing swoony moments - the email, the messages, the food understanding so so many more 🫠🫠🫠🫠
Gadget and Owen and Abs and Lando were awesome to see again
If you’re looking for a wonderful sports romance which is high heat high swoon and high feels with the most amazing found family, the best 6 year old a Trekkie to liven things up and neurodiversity rep done brilliantly please read this. It can be read as a standalone though this is a stellar series so give the others a go too
I'm so in love with these two idiots it's ridiculous. Completely smitten, honestly. Pi (Aiden) and Eggo (Finn) play on the same professional rugby team. They are selected to be the new co captains. Being very different, they need to figure out a way to work together. They are also friends with benefits. And they both have girlfriends, kind of.
I laughed out loud, I giggled and kicked my feet, teared up and cried a bit, cringed a little, and may have whispered "Jemma no" a few times. (I will never look at an apple the same way again.)
As always, Jemma writes the most amazing characters. These two boys are so perfectly flawed and real. They are also adorable and hilarious. And so very human. We get to follow Pi and Eggo and their relationship over some years, and I love their character arcs. They don't have very dramatic arcs, but that's what I love about these books. They follow the characters in their lives. The characters and their arcs are relatable and feel real. And in that, they are also so incredibly moving. I feel connected to them, and can't help but root for them even when they make the most terrible decisions. Which they do.
The representation is, also as always, amazing because it's just there. We get to experience the characters, and everything that happens, with them. It's an inside perspective rather than seeing them from the outside.
And the smut is smutting. It's smutty and real, adorable and HOT. So hot
This combination of realism, comedy, smut, and romance is unbeatable.
Obviously it's a five star. But can you really put a rating on pure joy? Cause this book and this series is pure literary joy to me.
I went in knowing this was going to be funny, Jemma smashes banter and has these tidbits of pop culture references that just get me chuckling. I wasn't expecting to cry. I mean, I should know by now her characters always have depth, layers and aren't just idiots having a lark. And Eggo and Pi are no exception. These two young men have lived completely different lives despite both spending most their time on the pitch, in a pub or with each other. One was raised loved, supported and surrounded by family. While the other survived and left it all behind for something better. There are so many wonderful relationships portrayed in this book and even though they cheat on their partners to be together, you can't help but root for them. I don't want to spoil it, but I thought I wouldn't want to read a book with cheating, but I knew Jemma would use it well. If that makes sense, it is worth a try. I learned some lovely Cornish and Australian slang that I keep repeating through out the day to my hubbies great delight (no, not really, he is just used to my Birchisms, as he affectionately calls them). Never felt more seen with NRMP, my guy Eggo saw it, said nothing and just knew what would make things better for Pi. I mean if that isn't love I don't know what is.
My favourite quote..."It’s too fucking sweaty inside to hear anything being said."
I could say more but the delight in Jemma's books are peeling back the layers and discovery the complexity of love.
And you know your limits, so read the author's content warnings Thank you Jemma Croft for this ARC. I received an advanced reader copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
4.5 rounded up. Emotional damage! Wow this book packed some punches! I almost didn’t sign up to arc read this because of the cheating. But I trust Jemma Croft, and I’m glad I went for it! I did not expect to relate to a young rugby player so hard. Goodness the feelings of longing and always feeling like you’re not quite hitting your target are so spot on in this book. Pi/Aiden is such an anxious, overthinking, worrier. Eggo/Finn is a chaotic gremlin of joy! He has a solid family, solid belief in himself, and the confidence that things will work. Hopefully! The girlfriends in this book. Megan, I totally get! Even though I don’t understand why her & Finn couldn’t communicate. Georgia though? What girl? I can understand being amicable. Especially after knowing what she ends up knowing. But I don’t understand why these women were still a bit hung up. Finn was dumb, he and Megan definitely under negotiated their relationship. Aiden was a straight up ass. Not to her directly, but in actions. In real life I would never be able move on with friendship or trust with Aiden. But in a fictional world where I get to be inside his head, totally. I’m in. I laughed so much while reading this book, I cried more than expected too. I had to stop reading at stare into space to process my own feelings a few times even. Jemma Croft has a way of writing a story that I get swept into. Even my unmedicated adhd didn’t stand a chance. I love the Try for Love series and can’t wait for the next addition!
LOOK AT THAT COVER AND TELL ME YOU DONT ALREADY LOVE THEM???
There was no chance I was reading this one and not falling head over heels for Pi and Eggo, but they truly exceeded my expectations. They are much happier and goofier than Lan and Harry (sorry boys, but I still love you tremendously), which I think provided some really amazing fun and levity that Jemma excels at.
Because this book easily could have not worked. Jemma tells you up front, these guys as good hearted and sweet they may be with each other, are in fact the jerks in their situations (TW Cheating). But I loved how it was handled because the women were never once vilified or made to be the bad guys. They were lovely women, with each being treated poorly in different ways, and I just adored that no cheap shots were taken.
And even though, they were being massive jerks, I still fell in love with the way they loved each others. From friends (who secretly are kinda obsessed with each other), to benefits (with explosive chemistry), to definitely not in love (totally in love with each other), to finally admitting they're definitely 100% head over heels. I love the way that they have a language all of their own and that anyone with eyes can see they are made for each other.
(Also childhood friends to enemies to lovers is my fucking favorite and I think that's coming up next and can Jemma just beam it straight into my brain please??)
If someone told me I'd be rating a book about to rugby playing idiots who fall in love whilst cheating on their girlfriends 5 stars I'd have laughed in your face. But I have been proved insanely wrong because this book was amazing.
Jemma Croft has a way of writing that makes her characters feel so real. They are just so loveable. I like that they aren't perfect people. They're funny, flawed and have a way of getting you invested in them from the very first page.
And man, was I invested in these two. I was hooked from the very first page and couldn't put it down. I think the way this book was structured was exactly how a book with this type of plot line should be done. Being able to see where they ended up and then how they got into the situation they did was the perfect way to tell their story.
I also really think the way Aiden's characters was written was amazing. Reading this inner monologue when he was comparing himself and his behaviours as a child to Logan's was what it's like for so many adults who have some kind of undiagnosed neurodivergence and was some of the best representation of this that I've read.
If the cheating trope isn't something you can look last then this book isn't for you. Otherwise you can expect lots of laughs, an endless amount of banter, scenes that will have you blushing and more heartwarming moments between these idiots than you can shake a stick at.
4.75 ⭐ 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5 🏉 Best friends to lovers 🏉 Friends with benefits 🏉 Autistic/ADHD rep 🏉 Single dad 🏉 Cheating to be with each other 🏉 First times/ exploring together 🏉 Bi4bi
Well now I don't know anymore who's my favourite autistic rugby boy 😭 I love Gadget (book 1), but holy shit did Pi (Aiden) hit a little too close to home at times. I loved his character, and I loved how Pi and Eggo's character complimented each other so well. The overthinking planner and the enthusiastic bull in a China shop 🥹 But then Eggo knows exactly what Pi (who clearly struggles with food, due to his autism) can and can't eat and I cried. I do not love the cheating trope, but I thought this was handled quite well. You see the internal struggle clearly, especially in Pi. He knows he's a shit human and he takes full responsibility for the pain he has caused. I also loved Logan's characterisation. You can see he was created by a person familiar with gen Alpha kids at that age 🤣 the 'bruh' is so cringe and só accurate, so funny. The dual timeline is nice, and I'm used to it by now as this is book 3 in the series 😆 though I did have a few moments of confusion, as it went present - past - further past - little less past - present. I think 😆 and there was an angry crying breakup in the past, but then again a not so angry breakup in the present. I'm gonna have to reread it to completely follow it I think. Either way, another hit by Jemma Croft 🥰
I loved these MCs and their relationship so much. I was nervous about the cheating aspect, as cheaters are usually a no from me. Honestly, with most other authors I wouldn’t have even bothered picking this up—but Jemma Croft had me reading water sports 💦 and loving it, cheering on a sentient, meddling house shaped like penises, and happily reading about a character’s bowel movements… so yeah, if any author was going to write two MCs cheating on their GFs in a way that didn’t just not make me hate them but actually had me rooting for them, I knew it would be her.
These two soppy idiots are the absolute definition of idiots in love. I loved how everyone who mattered just KNEW. They're not as subtle as they thought!
I enjoyed both Cornish language the Australian language terms (that I had to Google occasionally), and I really loved the family Eggo helped Pi create. The ending was perfection.
Also, shout out for exes who get along and co-parenting where they're still family, they all the love the kid, and no drama come so to it 🥰 that was extra special and I wish we got more books with this type of relationship with exes who have kids together.
It doesn’t surprise me that Pi and Eggo are my favorite couple in this series so far! Idiots in love is a top tier trope and Jemma does it SO well. These two are just ridiculous with how obviously they are.
I am actually a fan of cheating tropes so a double cheating trope had me so excited. You could just tell pretty early on that these two were supposed to be together but remember….they are lovable idiots so that wasn’t going to happen easily for them. Pi is an overthinker to the MAX and I related to him so freaking much. Eggo is his exact opposite, not thinking things through enough. This honestly made them such a perfect match. I loved the dual timeline so that we could see how they started and then where they ended up. Logan was SO sweet! I loved how Pi was just accepted immediately into Eggo’s family. Plus the second epilogue had me in tears, it was so precious and the perfect ending for these two.
I also really enjoyed the overlapping timeline with the first two books and getting to see difference perspectives from the same scenes. I can’t wait to read whatever Jemma writes next!!
I have been excited for this story since Jemma announced it and it didn't disappoint. It was everything you love about a Jemma book, funny, horny, well rounded characters, a story that sucks you in and refuses to spit you out until you've read the last word.
This book made me laugh out loud so much it convinced my friend to pick up her first Jemma book. I smiled throughout, I kicked my lil toes and I CRIED (happy tears) I genuinely didn't want it to end.
Finn (Eggo) is the sweetest of men, written in such a way I wanted him to climb out the book so I could cuddle him.
Aiden (Pi) is the love of my life. Jemma has written his character with such care and knowledge, it made me emotional more than once. You can tell how much time and effort went into portraying him and she absolutely hit the nail on the head. As a mother with a child on the spectrum it was so refreshing to read a story from a man on the spectrums POV, to see my sons quicks and mannerisms in Pi was amazing, it made me love Pi even more.
I feel rotten giving this book only 5 stars, I would give it 100.
I don't know what kind of crack Jemma puts in her books but they only keep getting better! I probably wouldn't have trusted anyone else to make me read a book with cheating, but somehow she made it work, and it's totally on brand with the idiots-to-lovers thing they've got going on.
I didn't think I would ever like a Jemma character more than Lando in Try Again Later, but I think Eggo might have taken the cake here. He's just so unashamedly himself, the most loveable goof ever. And the relationship between these two! Ugh! They're just so sweet but also absolutely oblivious to what they truly are to one another. I love how they simply get each other, they share a one-of-a-kind bond and it makes it really easy to see why they couldn't get enough of each other, even to the detriment of their actual relationship.
This story was silly and spicy, but it doesn't shy away from emotional depth, and it might get you to shed a few tears by the end.
I really hope everyone gives this story a chance (after all, it IS called Worth a Try 🤷🏻♀️) because I guarantee you will love it and add Pi and Eggo to your list of favorite idiots 😁
Thank you Jemma for the opportunity to read and review this book ahead of release!
First of all, I love, love, LOVED this book. Jemma Croft is the queen of banter! Worth a Try made me laugh out loud more than any other book I've read, possibly ever, but it was also so sweet that the final “cool down” (2nd epilogue) had me sobbing happy tears. For real, I was hiccup-sobbing while explaining to my concerned husband why it was such a sweet ending. 😂
Pi and Eggo were such lovely characters, despite some of their questionable decisions. I couldn't help but root for them. I also loved Eggo's family so much, especially the Christmas scenes, which felt like watching an episode of my fave comfort show, Gavin & Stacey.
This was my first rugby romance, and I am HOOKED. I've preordered Worth a Try and will definitely be buying the first two books in Croft's Try for Love series. I can't recommend this one highly enough!

This was a classic Jemma novel with witty banter and cosy vibes. Aiden & Finn, aka Pi & Egg, are the definition of idiots in love. Their dynamic was super unique and it made for an engaging read. I was continually surprised by each new piece of the puzzle being revealed. And by the end it was hilarious how oblivious these guys were 🤪 Finn's son Logan is super adorable and I loved all of the interactions with him. They were so sweet together. I would have loved chapters and chapters of the three of them and their little life together.
If you love sports romance, British wit, and idiots in love... you'll eat this up!
I absolutely love Aiden and Finn together!! There are trigger warnings about cheating. I definitely wouldn't let that stop me from reading this sweet love story. Finn has a long term girlfriend who doesn't like labels and doesn't want to hold him back while Aiden doesn't think he can really have Finn's love so gets a girlfriend but realizes they are both just settling. You can tell that Aiden and Finn just fit like missing puzzle pieces. You could feel that it didn't matter that Aiden was a guy, Finn loved him for him and vice versa for Finn. I love how inclusive Jemma is with her love stories! It was great to catch up with Cents rugby team! Definitely recommend this sweet, spicy MM romance!
Jemma, you’ve done it again. These two idiots in footy shorts own my whole heart. If anyone could write a book where roughly 80% of it is a trope I usually hate (cheating!) and somehow make me go, “But have you SEEN these two idiots?” it’s you.
I adored this story. As an Australian, the banter between them made it even better. This series has made me laugh out loud more than any other. It’s just pure, chaotic joy.
These two are absolute idiots, not in a hand-wavey “their actions are justified” way, but in the “they refuse to *shudder* communicate about their *gag* feelings” way. And that’s why I love them. This series remains one of my favourites because it’s fun, heartfelt, and full of flawed characters you can’t help but adore. Also… who doesn’t love rugby shorts?
"Well we're not here to f*ck spiders" iconic Australian saying! And one of my favs!
I love jemmas quick whit and humour and i feel like she truly did our aussie hearthrob justice. Pi & Eggs were an absolute mess, full of terrible choices and a hilarious yet heartbreaking take on men are stupid! I loved their entire dynamic even if their morals were questionable at well.... most times!
With little rugby, lots of spice and even more humor, this book was something else! The worlds worst kept secret to those closest to them, with a pretty little ending that had me sighing in relief they finally admitted what they knew all along.
Probably one of the best cheating tropes I've ever read. Jemma Croft did so good with this book! So many laugh out loud moments. So many authentic moments - as Aiden and Finn try to figure "this" out. And the stars of the show? The girlfriends. I said it. They got it. They recognized and supported, with class and grace. So many props to how these females were written. I want nothing for the best for these two ladies. I freaking loved them. This book was brilliant. Seriously so well done. I think its my favorite of the three. So many swoony moments and again, the authenticity just blew me away. For MM readers this is a MUST read. I need to hear your thoughts!
I paused a book to read this one, that’s how excited I was for it. It exceeded expectations. I loved it. I really liked Pi and Eggo. They had a really good dynamic in their very different but slightly similar ways. I got a little lost in all the slang terminology but I think that was a me problem more than anything else. The single dad element of this book is so small but such a good showing of a parent child relationship. It was some of my favorite parts of the entire book. This whole series is great! The first book holds a special place in my heart but I think this one is my next favorite in the series. This book (and the whole series) is definitely worth reading.
If you are looking for stupid boys being stupid but also endearingly soft for one another, then this is the book for you.
Finn and Aiden have known each other for years but what starts as a one off turns into more very quickly and they can't seem to stop, despite the fact neither of them is in a position to pursue a relationship with a teammate.
I adore these two. The neurodiversity rep is on point and Jemma brings her signature humor, heart, and heat to this story.
I am not ready to leave these boys behind and I know these will become a comfort reread for me.
I knew I was going to love this book but I didn't expect this much. Worth a Try is Aiden and Finn's love story and it truly is a tale of love, two idiots in love. As always the banter and the neurodivergent representation was on point, which is something I am always grateful for. The characters are extremely loveable even though their actions are less than desired. Check trigger warnings, this book includes cheating on partners. I enjoyed every minute of Aiden and Finn's story, I read it in 24 hours and couldn't put it down, definitely would recommend.
This book was so much fun. I don't think the smile left my face the entire time I was reading this. Finn and Aiden are literally two idiots, but at least they got there in the end.
It was really good to see (read about) Harry and Lan again. I literally laughed every time Harry was on page.
Jemma's characters (especially in this series) feel like people you could grab a beer with.
Oh Pi and Eggs, truly idiots to lovers. Meeting at a young age and seeing their relationship grow from strangers to teammates to friends to more was fun. Underneath it all there was so much love, even when it was only friends with benefits. They supported each other on and off the pitch. When they have to work as co-captains, they compliment each other. Building off each other's strength and weakness. I loved how well Pi got along with Eggs' son Logan.
These two were so funny to watch. This was truly an idiots to lovers. These guys quite literally had to be told they loved each other because they were dense. I loved it. They were hilarious and perfect together. I also loved Logan. He was adorable. The tree bit at the end basically did me in. That was sooo sweet.
